The links should all be working again. The site behind them is empty, but the content is available to download once again.
I apologize profusely for appearing and then disappearing once again. Life has been very trying for me for the past ~2 years and I've not had much in the way of time for hobbies and such.
I do eventually want to get back to stat block conversions as I really enjoyed them (even still have a few in the works from way back when) but I've just not had the time. I'm hoping that some time will be found to get back to the more entertaining parts of life at some point in the near future.
I do promise that the links won't go dead again. At least for another couple of years. ;)
Again, I'm sorry for dropping off the face of the earth with no warning and the well wishes are all appreciated. Thank you all for the patience and dedication you've shown towards this little conversion compendium, it means a lot.
no problem, friend has it. just have to wait till sunday...
EDIT: thanks for the Fire Angel pic.
Making a bit of a jump, but I suggest hitting up Open Office or (better) Libre Office for your .docx needs (assuming that's the problem). Doesn't hurt that they're both very solid (and free) office suites. I use Libre Office personally and can vouch for it being a safe program to install and use. It also has some really nice .pdf extensions that can be used in lieu of Adobe software, too.

Been following this for a while. I like a lot of your rules as they were linked in the OP, Kirth. My players have been really enjoying the monk changes (in that monks are now actually seeing play and kicking some serious butt!).
I was wondering if I could get in on the mailing list goodness, too. My email's in the spoiler, much appreciated.
Before anything I want to offer my most humble apologies to all of you for just disappearing without a word. Without delving too deep into it, a LOT has happened in my personal life over the last two(-ish) years and I'm only just now finally getting settled to the point where I can afford to have a social life of any sort outside of my close acquaintances. I'm okay.
Anyways, onto business. As I'm sure anyone attempting to grab the files has found, they are no longer available, I'll work to remedy this as soon as I'm reasonably able. I'll begin working on stat blocks again as time allows; I have a few nearly-complete ones that I should be able to get post soon-ish.
I just wanted to drop by really quick and let you fine folks know I'm still about it some capacity and that I have intentions to continue this endeavor.
REALLY sorry I've not been around for the past couple months, folks, been hellishly busy dealing with real-life related crap and working on stuff for my home games. Not to mention that I hit a pretty nasty case of D&D burnout for awhile there.
That said, I /have/ been working on stuff with what downtime I do have; the foulspawn mangler is more or less done it just needs some stuff finalized and I need to write up flavor text for it. Once that's done I'll be moving onto the other critters on the list.

I picked up a few of those massive crocs/aligators. the based is really big... Like 15'. I'm not sure what these are called or if they have specific powers. Can you recommend which PAIZO or v.3.5. stat to use, or should we actually add them to the list?
I also picked up that massive iron golem juggernaut. Did Gene stat those already?
On the fun side, I look forward to the volcanic dragon... or should I just use one of PAIZO's existing stats for it? please advise?
For the crocodiles, I'd just take the stats in bestiary 1 for a crocodile and apply the Giant and Advanced templates to it. That should give you a suitably nasty critter to throw at a lower level party. Alternatively, you could apply the Young Creature template to a dire crocodile and get something a bit tougher.
The iron golem juggernaut is already on the list for things to be written up. It'll probably be awhile, though.
For the volcanic dragon, I'd just use the magma dragon stats in bestiary 2. Just find a dragon of the appropriate size and there ya go!

How about the HeroSlayer Hydra. I picked up that piece at GENCON and would like it to be a good challenge for an 11th/12th level party. CR 15 or 16 if possible, but I'll leave that to you Gene, the expert.
Added to the list (as well as the fen hydra). It's looking like it'll be a CR 18 or so (normally I'd write it up as a CR 23-24 based on its card, but I don't really want to do anything epic for the time being).

I love that cover soooo much. Even though it's crazy. :D

There's also one in an adventure path.
Sweet! Gives me a reason to finish my RotRL AP set.
So it went from something almost every fighter-type who planned on specializing wanted tooooooo... something almost no fighter-type is ever going to take.
Got more on the way. I'm hoping to get them out today. If not, expect them up sometime Sunday. As per usual, if you notice any errors let me know and I'll fix 'em up.
These are only the 3.5 stats; I'll convert them to Pathfinder RPG once I get to them in the conversion list.
I do have some plans to get some stuff up over this week. If all goes well I should complete everything of CR 6 on the list (amounting to four new critters). It's taking a bit longer than usual due to them having both 3.5 and Pathfinder stats.
EDIT: Okay, what I think I'm going to do for the time being is just post the 3.5 stats for things I stat up. I'll be going through (already started, actually) and doing PF conversions for everything I've statted up to this point; as I make conversions I'll announce them on here or something.
I've got a half-orc cavalier in my on-going Rappan Athuk game. His mount doesn't get used all that much but he's fairly effective even when compared to the other undead-killing-machines (2 paladins, a barbarian, and a (favored enemy: undead) ranger).
He has only been around for one session, though, things may change.
I'll most likely be statting them in increasing CR. The four-pack of beholders came with the Eye of Flame, Eye of Frost, Eye of Shadow (I think), and the Eye Tyrant.
CR-wise, I'll probably be going with the following:
Eye of Flame - CR 10
Eye of Frost - CR 10 (similar enough to the eye of flame)
Eye of Shadow - CR 11
Eye Tyrant - CR 13

Good catch on the 'tundra' environment. That is indeed an error, I'll get it fixed and re-uploaded right away. Also noticed I didn't pick the thing's feats, either. How I manage that one is beyond me.
I've found that you can make pretty much anything up to huge size using some heavy weight card stock paper and your printer. Basing is a bit difficult sometimes, but so long as you're careful (and have an x-acto knife) it's easy to crank out a couple custom minis that you might need but otherwise would not have.
If you didn't mind doing some conversion work, you could always have a Living Vault at the center of the trapped areas. Might have to tone it down a bit, though.

Seriously, though, assuming the guild fences the majority of its ill-gotten gains, what's keeping them from storing the vast majority of their wealth in a bank of some sort? Would make it much more difficult to steal.
If you wanted to be extravagant you could even say it's an extraplanar bank of some sort. Run by efreeti or whatever other race you think would fit.
This is a monster that I REALLY wish I had more than one page to use for stating it up. There were a couple more abilities I'd have liked to give it. Alas.
Oh that my characters were a higher level, I would love to unleash this guy on them.
You are SO not alone on that. Were my current group higher than fourth level I'd have definitely sprung a couple of these guys on them by now.

I have a Pathfinder RPG game arc running now where the beholders from the 4-pack set are the "bosses" behind the collapse of a barony. I wonder if you could pick one (from the 4e collection) to portrey in v.3.5. They plunk into Pathfinder play nicely from there.
For example, one beholder is purple, another i think uses special electric power, another is kinda translucent looking and I think they would make marvelous opponents for the PCs if treated to a heaping helping of Gene-o-matic Stats.
So,
Beholders please!?
As early as next Saturday I could use them, but even 1 beholder in the next week or two could work.
I'll let the PCs arrive, conduct their research, and witness the beginnings of the collapse of the government there.
This should buy me enough time until Gene can consider the Beholders for statwork.
Thanks for considering,
Pax
Alright, I'll get on it right away. Beholders incoming (except the Eye Tyrant which is just a normal beholder from the Monster Manual)!
EDIT: Scratch that. I'm rewriting the normal beholder (the eye tyrant) as well. Just looked at its stats. Those things are NOT a CR 13. : /

Anyways; onto the molech and deathgrasp sarcophagi. Should have them up within the next few days if all goes well.
Gods I need to float around these boards more often than I do!
The oni night haunter is probably ninety-five percent done; all I've got to do yet is write is combat tactics and flavor text. Should have it up in awhile then I'll get right on your requests, Pax.
Pax:
Beholders - I could do them; do you have any idea of what the name of the blue one is? I'll probably Google around and see if there are 4E versions of them and then work backwards from that.
Grey Ooze - I don't know of any grey ooze minis, sadly. I've always just used the reaper slime minis (found here) and just painted them whatever color I needed them. They're kinda small, though (roughly medium-sized).
How I've been - I've been okay; just busy as crap. Launching another website for a friend of mine has consumed the majority of my time as of late; however it's almost done so I'm looking to be getting some free time to work on conversions once again. How've things been on you guys' ends?
Mairkurion
Oni Night Haunt - I'm a huge fan of the Oni and I'll get this one done ASAP. Depending on the 4E stats I may take it as an oni ninja of sorts. Oh the evil... >:D
---
Started poking at the Oni Night Haunter. He's going to be mean. Very mean. Looking at CR 10.
::Sweeps confetti out of thread so it will be ready for Gene's big Valentine's Day *Love the Monsters!* conversion bash::
** spoiler omitted **
*needs to find a succubus mini*
:p

So gene, what are you gonna do when the minis run out?
Weep bitterly. I was super bummed out when they canceled the DDM line. I dunno; I may just start stalking the 4E monster manuals for monsters to convert. I may hang up the hat; we'll just have to see when the time comes.
Because this isn't midieval Japan. The main reason that katanas took so long to make back them was the extremely poor quality of Japanese steel, the method of manufacture was designed to counteract the swords' tendency to shatter at the first solid blow. Since samurai exist in the same world that produces long swords that don't break the problem that necessitated the design factor isn't an issue.
This also allows for the fact that rhonin or disgraced samurai may have to resort to cheap knockoffs.
If the Japanese had had access to Damascus steel on the other hand... things would have been different.
You, eh, may want to have a gander at the spoiler in the post you quoted; I wasn't being serious.
My faith in Paizo has been destroyed after reading the stats for the katana as presented. Why is the weapon no longer automatically masterwork! This is dumb; katanas were the most difficult weapon for any swordsmith to make and often took years (and thousands of hours) of expert craftsmanship to complete!
I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Spoiler:
I kid, I kid! I'm actually glad that they aren't auto-masterwork anymore. :D
Oh, I wasn't *that* guy—I was the guy he tells you to call if you have any further questions. So part of my job was dealing with the people that that guy already pissed off. (And, of course, 6-year olds asking to speak to Mario.)
Ooooooh, ouch!
I can't even imagine the soul-crushing despair that you heaped upon those young souls asking after Mario. :D
Nice. Yeah, I just threw WC out there because the new release seems to be sucking people back in. Stay strong!
Yep, it's a busy time of year, so any conversion squeezed in is very much appreciated.
Are you gaming regularly? Tell me yes so that I may become a bladder overflowing with green bile.
Yes, it's snagged a couple of my friends, but I just can't afford to play. That makes keeping away from it quite easy in the long run. :p
Alas I'm not playing often; maybe once a month. We just got a game in yesterday/today (it was a looooong session) and we're planning another for next week, but outside of that it'll probably be into next year before I get another game in of any sort.
Might as well do the Swordwing at the same time as the Crownwing. What are you up to these days, Gene? Play-testing for Myth & Magic? Lost in WarCrack?
The swordwing has been added to the list; it looks like it'll be somewhere around CR 6 or so.
I haven't been up to much these days, really. Just working on various projects and dealing with pre-, current-, and post-holiday family relations coming into town. Busy busy busy.
Haven't touched Warcraft; I got that out of me years ago and every time I think on going back I just remember the horrible grind to do much of anything and take a pass on it. :p
I am hoping to get a mini or two up before Christmas, though. Hopefully.
One house rule I've seen that explains why dungeons are so prevalent is to have teleportation blocked by 40ft. of earth. Thus hidden underground lairs are protected from scry and die.
Hmm... I actually kind of like that. I could see something like 40 - 60 feet of earth blocking scrying/teleportation while 20 - 30 feet of stone will do the same.
I'll have to run this by my players. Though, I doubt they'd ever try scry and die tactics anyways. Thanks for the idea.
The swarm of rot grubs really bother me: they're impossibly big. I'd have an easier time believing larva were smaller (5' tall? How do devils and hags trade in them at such an inconvenient size) than that rot grubs, which can borrow in my arm, are the size of cats. Any ideas on how you will use the mini?
Those crownwings are pretty mean looking; they'll probably be gotten to eventually. Looking at their DDM stats, I'd probably peg them around CR 8 or 9. I'll add 'em to Ye Olde List
As for the rot grubs, I dunno what I'd do with them. They'll probably get stated one of these days, but not anytime soon. I just don't see what they could be used for. I suppose you could say it's a swarm of almost-mature grubs that are looking for food or something, but I don't know how well that'd float.

For the first time, I got an extra mini in a pack. That mini is the Blood Fiend (R). So I came out 2 Commons, 1 Uncommon, 4 Rares, and 0 Very Rares. Happy Thanksgiving!
I think there's a size differential, but that's pretty much it. I dunno, I haven't really checked into it myself, just parroting what I read whilst trying to figure out via Google what size the mini was.
