Cal, you've gone and done it now. Now everyone knows that we load up with recipes and t2 mats to trade at the hex east of Rotters Hole. You have ruined it, blast you.
Attention High-road alliance, new meeting place. Go to hex 4N/20W, we will meet at the regular time near the place were you find the secret mushrooms bordering the hex where you find the Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

With all of Golgotha off the mountain looking for mobile nodes, it is a perfect time to stock up on Copper Ore tax free. You know I'll be there :)

Excerpt from a conversation with my mom today (who still doesn't have a TV):

Me: ...Mom did you hear that Spock is dead? Really sad news, he will really be missed.
Mom: Spock, dear? The baby book guy? Oh honey, he has been dead for years, I didn't know you were so into him.
Me: Umm, Mom, am I adopted?

Sorry for the world rending hangover, Locke. Hammar was in a good mood after crafting a new Hardwood Cricket Bat for Dvalin and he might have added some of that moderate varnish to the beer.
And to be honest, you should blame Gareth, that pansy elf was whining about the stunning new powers the Ustalav Casters seemed to have learned. I thought that if he drank a few pints of my new Prelate Porter, he would become used to being knocked on his butt and start killing things faster instead of bit#$ing about it.

If you like to make noise, wrestle bears and wake up in the morning thinking that your settlement has been expelled; we invite you to lacquer your livers at the Cathedral in Tavernhold. Now featuring Prelate Porter, "Quench that thirst with downburst!"

The Placard of Wisdom has been etched onto the mantle above the bar at Tavernhold. It is all you need to know.

I like this discussion, but i should point out that in order to establish a global commodity value for raw materials, a best practice is that the gathering be done by someone with the minimum skill level required to do it. That keeps the data gathered apples to apples and rewards those who buy higher skill. (Forester 0 for T1 wood, forester 7 for t2 wood, etc)

The true value of any single material or good is going to have to also include all the market forces involved: supply, demand, CPH, a surcharge for the minimum ability to make a thing etc. which is a much more complicated issue.

The work that you are all doing to gather this data is very important to creating an accurate pricing model for materials and goods. so please continue and thank you for taking the initiative on it. it benefits us all. I just wanted to keep the data more scientific.

here is another question that should be discussed along with this thread, what is the value of XP for crafters? Should there be a value on a finished good based on the minimum level required to make an item, and what should that value be? I feel that 50XP/1CP is a nice ratio, but I don't know how that would effect the price of something that takes 1 yr xp to reach.

Longbow users have no issue killing ogres and red casters Solo.

Overdraw - Parting Shot (20M Evade) - Basic LB exploit - Evade (utility 20M Evade) - Basic LB exploit/Parting Shot

This should take down any none-red ogre and <=red casters on the first go round with plenty of room to run away from the main mob. Rinse, Wash, Repeat.

Just don't get caught by a slow or stun effect, but the first parting shot should help you avoid that:)

As another Tavernholder and consummate role-player, I feel the need to support Caldeathe's comments regarding Alignment.
To our Lawful Good (overly dogmatic) brethren, we CG types have to be the most irritating; we are unpredictable, unreliable, a real nuisance when it suits us. The worst part is we are unleashing our shenanigans for the right reasons and that makes it difficult to justify killing.
At least with the LE, you can reason with them and have confidence that the contract that you paid lawyers too much money to verify was loophole free, will be upheld for as long as it is valid.

Now i don't want anyone to get the idea that when hiring Tavernhold to partake in your causes, that we will not uphold a contract once signed, just know that once said contract is over, we won't work for the other good guys too, one minute later. Ohh and be forewarned, sometimes our participation will be sporadic due to frequent bio breaks, and group tactics may flag a bit as the night rolls on and the flagons are emptied...SQUIRREL.... oh sorry i though we won already, where was I.

It is simply that we GC mercs are truly best left in the wild north, outside of petty politics and Machiavellian machinations. Please invite us out to trade when we are sober and party when we are not, but don't dirty our tavern floor with policrap, either of you Lawful types, that's where the peanut shells go and Hammar goes to sleep at morning. We wouldn't want to play robin hood and trounce your alliance boundaries in an effort to crash the copper market by raiding the hill around Golgatha and then giving it away to newbs for free.

I am enjoying the show however, from the peanut gallery, carry on. I just had to butt in while the wench was refilling me goblet. "Remember, remember, the Fifth of November!"
