I don't remember that line, it doesn't seem as flowery and over the top as most of Sarini's prose. Infact now I think on it I don't think the second trial was combat even... She starts grinning more This is interesting

Garrand looks around at the audience as the devil falls. The play has clearly gone off scrip but the show must go on. He'll ad lib a line to try and get things back on track

You summoned a servant of our great Dark Lord to do battle. And yet, instead of fighting it threw it weapon away and gladly sacrificed itself to Drovalid's mace. The trial by combat has ended and I have been found true to my word and to the Dark Lord. Have you another summoning great magistrate? Another for you to accuse in your stead?

It's fun reading. There aren't many roleplay opportunities in a play that's following a script anyway so it makes sense just to narrate it.

On the flip side, I DO get to hit Garrand a few times!

Garrand will spend his time smoozing with the other actors. He'll make sure that he's not upstaging anyone but use his performance to enhance theirs, even Ulvauno's. If he's going to make the man look foolish he'll wait for the actual performance <evil grin>.

Both. With Calseinica he'll take on the role of devoted older brother, with Robahl the eager student. He'll make sure to mention to Robahl how much Calseinica reminds him of his own sister.

Garrand will take the opportunity to talk with each of the participants when he can find them by themselves. Unlike his obvious contempt for Ulvauno, he is all smiles for the others.

Garrand will describe the play to the room with the facial expression of someone holding a bucket of rotting fish at arms length.

Adria is sympathetic to Garrand's story. I'd like to catch the bastards that did that. Dismemberment by mule pull would be my first choice of punishments for them.

Since we have the itemized list of where they came from I'd suggest we should. It's a lot of money, but it will buy us a lot of good will.

Anyone else get the impression that Nilus is really "Tired of these mo&^&^#@ dogs in this Mo&%#@%%^$ place!"

Adria, I know I said earlier that piercing weapons don't bypass DR/bludgeoning but is the "spirit dagger" you're attacking with from the spell spiritual weapon? If so, despite the spell appearing as a dagger, it's a spell effect that does force damage and bypasses DR.

Spells, spell-like abilities, and energy attacks (even non-magical fire) ignore damage reduction.
