Gareth here is interested, our current serpent skull game fell apart, only got one encounter in. He is a 1st level half orc ranger. I will try to post some links to Gareth's story too, but long story short, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, went to jail, and was purchased as a slave for the ship. I don't think that exists it this party, but I will futilely try, maybe I will roll good... G-G-Good luck Gareth gives him a tiny head bow. Tranz's equipment has been added to the undivided loot (sorry Tranz) Click Gareth in the face and go to the bottom spoiler to take a look.
Hopefully Gareth's little stutter speech helps more than it hinders the npc's attitudes and morale, but Gareth is a bit agitated from loosing Tranz.

Gareth picks up the phoenix feather quill, studies it, and again looks in the direction that Tranz was spirited away. I will do everything in my power to insure that you will write with this pen again. Mark my words, friend! Gareth puts the quill in his pocket and quickly loads the rest of Tranz's gear wherever he can fit with the other items. He then looks over at Aerys...I-I'm not sure i-if this will help but... gareth takes a clean pecie of cloth and wipes some of the sweat off of her face. r-rest
While tending to Aerys, Gareth thinks to himself. Tranz is gone, m-maybe even dead. And now this lady is sick...This does not bode well... Gareth stands up from Areys and speaks to the entire camp...
Gareth turns and prepares to venture out into the wilderness... Not sure if any of the above garners any diplomacy checks (or intimidate checks...)If it does, feel free to roll them and use my stats.

If there is enough food Gareth scouts the area ahead, further into the island. If there is not enough food he hunts instead. If he finds anything worth noting he observes and listens for a short bit and reports back to camp. Gareth will attempt to be stealthy the entire time. Go ahead an roll the appropriate skill checks since I don't know how many I need to make, if any.

Gareth listens quietly but attentively. After Gelik has finished speaking he asks questions such as: H-how c-could she survive if all t-there was was rum?

Yeah and Gareth is not the most out going person either. He'd sooner keep his mouth shut than draw these human's attention to him. Although if asked by someone he likes he would diffidently make an attempt.

As Joao attempts to free Gareth's neck I think thats the only binding that Gareth has at the moment if I remember correctly Gareth mutters a "T-thank you," regardless of success. Not so good with others, Gareth sets out to hunt for food and scout the area. Assuming he gets some food and returns, if the party has moved camp he will track them. Survival 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 +1 for tracking anything
If you require more rolls for the hunting go ahead and make them using my stats, hopefully to speed things up if needed. wow, what an interesting set of rolls!

Gareth carefully poses a question, speaking slowly to help prevent him from tripping over his words...Umm... Now that I... think about it...W-where did my...restraints go...? Gareth looks at his unshackled arms and feels the collar, the only piece remaining of a once very sophisticated restraint. Gareth lifts the holy symbol he found in the captains desk up in front of his face so he can better see it.

"Others could get busy with shelter, and a fire". "We can re-access our situation once the basics are taken care of". "We should also see what the other survivors have to offer". ...Umm...I'm O-okay at hunt'n and s-stuff. Much better at it than conv-conver-... conversing with people like them. Gareth loads his crossbow and keeps it in hand, ready to hunt and search the area. Survival1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 +2 vs humans[/smaller]

Do we know of any venomous serpents aboard the ship? I noted only the pony, fox and Redstripe, who is not venomous. Hmm... Well he was a-alive when he brought me my dinner... M-maybe he was attacked after that and before dinner... No... usually I'm fed after everyone else...When I was fed...ah-umm...The cook never brought me food perse-persa-sa-...perrr... GAH! Gareth turns away from N'goka and whomever else was actually listening to him, frustrated and embarrassed at his inability to speak to others and continues hauling gear with much more force.

Gareth goes to put the more valuable, or less secure items in his pack to easier transport but remembers he left his pack to lighten his load. IDIOT! He then leaves it to the others, and goes to the store room. Gareth attempts to determine if Tranter and the cook are truly dead, and cause of death if they are. If they are still alive they become his priority, otherwise he takes what he can from them of value or use, and moves on to help the others with the treasure and supplies.
WOW. With rolls like that, Gareth obviously determines that they died from implosion. He must of been hungry, cause he sure gave the cook and extra through search... After he has finished he assists with moving the supplies.
