Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Post got eaten apparently. Boo. Octo-Galtar's soft form shivers and shudders as he changes into the form of a dragonborn once again! "My brash actions awoke this ancient evil, but well done Katra, you are a true daughter of the mountain! Your power and your faith are certainly formidable!" Stashing the rings and the bracelets for later, Galtar seems ready to continue.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Octo-Galtar moves closer to the tomb and beings collecting the valuables, efficiently plucking the small items and handing them off in turn to the other party members. The bracelets and rings look quite fashionable on four of his tentacles. Octo-Galtar passes everything to someone else, but keeps those four things for himself.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Octo-Galtar will hold back, but wrap his tentacles around Pisco, should he allow it, to help pull him quick out of danger should the trap spring. Advantage on Dex save if needed, due to tentacle power?
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Having a grand time with the flood of water, Oct-Galtar does his best to hold his ground and use his 15' tentacle to aid his friends from being washed away. Str: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Though this is largely already resolved, so it is moot. Also as a giant octopus, nothing in my hands to drop. GM Infinity you seem to be fairly flexible erring on the side of fun, which is fantastic! Allow me to be overly pedantic about my wild shape as I was planning to stay shifted for the full hour or until something necessitates me changing back. Would you say I've been in this form for an hour, or it has just been an hour since the last gas/poison damage? I'm thinking I've been wild shaped about 30 minutes maybe? Thanks for the input!
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Octo-Galtar splashes into the water and follows behind the creature, wary of betrayal, ready to lash out with his 15' tentacle attack. One of Octo-Galtar's tentacle's taps Cloudrunner on the shoulder and then pulls back over his expansive body pointing down at himself a few time. The giant octopus can easily swim on the top of the water.

I'd like to echo: Low posting on my part is usually because of life situations and not lack of interest. This has been a lot of fun so far, and I am really interested in this character both mechanically to see what he can do, and find out who he is. A dragonborn who can really turn into anything? For Deep Space Nine fans, I think of him like a Jem'Hadar physically, who has been genespliced with a Founder. His personally roughly matches what you'd expect from that too. The site issues are getting really bad (or continuing to be really bad I guess). As an IT professional I have second-hand embarrassment for the Paizo tech team. For the language stuff, that is tricky. Lots of people have different opinions about when/if/how to use a language barrier. Personally, if it actually helps further the story is some interesting way I'm totally onboard. If it is just a lazy/sloppy design element, I'd hand wave it away somehow (just have it all be common, or everyone gets the language as a bonus language, etc). I am going to be sparse Thursday, Friday and into mid-day Saturday. Please bot me as needed. Keep up the great work GM Infinity!

The giant octopus seems indifferent to most of the acid spray, and lashes out again with a long tentacle but fails to grab the slippery slug.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Galtar begins chanting an ancient prayer! The dragonman transforms into a giant octopus and grabs at the giant slug with his writhing tentacles! Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Bonus action to shapeshift. Standard to attack, but miss. In this form I have 15' reach, so if it tries to move away I can make an opportunity attack.

Galtar grimaces, "If we can believe our siren friend, it sounds like we've got a long road ahead of us." The dragonman waits a moment for his companions to join them, and then heads down the secret passage, cautiously approaching the corner.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Galtar hops over the pool of water in the middle of the hallway, and joins the winged elf. Galtar seems a bit crestfallen when the door opens to a room with more water. He points down the secret passage, "I think this looks like a lot more fun. How about you?"
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
"If she is a demon, best we deal with the problem head on. If not, perhaps we can find a bit of sanctuary? the dragonman begins picking at the stuffing of his bedroll, balling up some material and stuffing it into his ear holes. "Onward!" he calls, a bit too loudly.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Galtar laughs loudly and then claps his three fingered hands together! "Excellent! Most excellent Cloudrunner!" Galtar takes a moment to try and focus on the sound to see if he can identify it any better. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Galtar looks at the door, the mud, and the silt. "We need to flush it away with more water. I know a sacred rite that can do such a thing, but it will take me some time and rest in order to prepare. Expending our drinking water on this would certainly be foolish until we locate an exit to the surface or another fresh water source."

"I'm pretty sure that," Galtar points to the boulder, "is alive. I see no reason to fight it." "Pisco, perhaps you can ask it about the gas?" Galtar keeps the immediate concern forefront in his mind.
Dragonborn Outlander Druid 5 | HP: 19 / 34 (Dragonborn form) | Spell Slots 1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2
Galtar mutters something about channeling the jungle cat spirits and makes a running jump over the pressure plate area. Once in the new room, Galtar studies the crayfish. Particularly interested in the relationship the boulder may play in it's nesting habits. Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 "Seems odd for such a creature to be so far from a water source. The mud surely cannot be enough."

I am ok with that marching order. Based on the torch behavior,
Galtar examines the new space carefully after Cloudrunner apparently triggers some kind of pressure plate. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

In game terms, is the damage poison, acid, or other? I have resistance to acid damage and it may influence how Galtar feels about it slightly. Galtar spends a few moments studying the gas, and then shares with the others the slow danger it posses. Galtar searches for any obvious source of the gas. The dragonman seems troubled by the light situation, as a test he takes a torch from his backpack an lights it, extinguishing his magical flame with three quick shakes of his hand.

Galtar stands, brushes himself off, and readjusts his gear. The dragonman holds his right hand out and says speaks the word "dracarys." A small mote of fire springs forth from his palm and illuminates the area around him. While Lidras and Cloudrunner examine aspects of the chamber, Galtar takes an interest in the gas. Galtar snorts loudly a few times while looking around at the chaotic mess of horse tracks. "I do not understand this display of strength. Clearly the village was no match for them, but if they believe the villages so weak, why take them? I wonder how they will fair against true strength?" Any other interesting or obvious features looking up the mountain trail?

Galtar is in favor of going by foot and spending the 20 gp each. I do have a bedroll and mess kit already, but I also like round number spending :) I was pretty well geared up and ready to go, I have 2 antitoxins as well, though a few more might not hurt to spread around. A chest and lock would be another 35 gp, and seems like a good idea. And a shovel. Looks like Galtar will spend 20 gp, plus 7 gp for the 1/5th split of the chest, plus 2 gp for a shovel. Sound like a plan?

"How far is this village? Dispite the current state of troubles, it may be a good place for me to seek Meztli and for us to try to locate Tamocahan." Galtar suggests to Lidras. "Daughter of Moradin if you are ready to leave, our scout Pisco should be able to lead the way." Galtar heads back into "The Tavern" to retrieve his massive pack, returning after a moment and ready to set off. "Pisco, I should be able to render my assistance should you find yourself in need. I have a special way with the plants and animals." Galtar's lips pull back in a smile.

Galtar looks to Pisco, "Can you have her describe these demons at all? Many times that word is thrown around, and can mean many things to different people. You and I may be demons to her. Does she know why they were taking her tribe? Or where? Did they come from the direction of Intli?" The dragonman nods at Lidras, "Indeed you did, and I deeply appreciate your willingness to keep your word. Things would be better if more people believed that. If these demons are using emeralds of this size as weapons, they either do not understand or do not care about the value of them. Unless perhaps they truly have no value. A gem this size could certainly hire more labor they they are attempting to press into work. What say you, dwarf? Do you have an eye for gems?"

Galtar steps forward toward the men, in his deep voice calling for the vines to retreat. He picks up the two emeralds, and secures them in his pouch. "Fools," the dragonman regards them with disgust, "do what you like but you better not uncork what you can’t contain." Galtar moves to stand near as the dwarf tends to the woman. "You appear to be a capable healer, quick thinking. I am sure she will recover." The dragonman then calls to Pisco, "Do you understand what she is saying, scout?"

Galtar joins the others outside, watching the crowd and the chaos. Following the gems as they change hands. The dragonman waits patiently for the two men holding the emeralds to try and bolt with their ill-gotten gains. Insight: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 Ready action should either of them try to run.
