Male Elf (Current Health 25 / 28) Inquisitor of Pharasma 4 / Urban Ranger (Falconer) 1
Apologies, everyone. I had internet connection issues for almost a full month (and maybe a little over). Not fun at all. On the other hand, with all that extra free time I got another job. (So not a lot of free time these days anymore, but bills are being paid off faster than ever. :P) Sorry you finished the game. I was hoping to learn more about the Order of the Palatine Eye, or whatever it is, and we didn't even get that far.

It's not weird at all. In fact, if a game dies due to the DM's absence, its the only thing you can do to resuscitate it. -As to Galadan's reason for continuing, he's encountered enough flesh golems, golem dogs, and other necrotic creatures to know that someone is disrupting the natural flow of life and death, and in accordance with his goddess, he cannot allow that to continue. The necromancers must be neutralized.

Sure... I'm in. LOL. I'm a little mentally torn by the idea because I just started (or submitted characters for) another four PBP campaigns. (as I have a tendency to replace lost games with active ones). But until it gets to be too much, I think I'm good.

So I'm sorry to see this game die... I didn't even get my inquisitor to the prestige class. And I'm a little depressed because it feels like most of my PBPs are dying. I'm waiting to hear if I've been accepted into a new one, but I might start recruiting for a short (one adventure) PBP in my own home campaign Kingdoms of the Seven Continents.

Almost unperturbed by the sudden appearance of the creature from the boxes. "The lord of the manor does indeed keep interesting pets." Galadan moves to flank the mimic and attacks with his heavy mace. Attack (flanking)

Sorry Thod, have been out of it lately due to work and a rapidly developing head cold (hopefully not head flu). I'm also waiting for others to post, since Galadan and Wren have monopolized the conversation lately.

"Well, if this is the home of Stitches' fa-, err, creator. He has probably dabbled in other construct work as well. I'm sure we're getting closer to the core of his exploratory work. Hence the need for increased security."

Galadan finally exhales a breath he had been holding since the battle started, relieved that the conflict ended with few injuries. He looks around the new room they are in, searching for traps or anything of value. Perception (20)

Woah, two 20s in a row! Want to try for a third? "Take it down! Take it down! That flesh golem is dangerous." Taking advantage of the slight movement of the battle, Galadan attempts to move forward to a place where he can attack a homunculus. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 for

Round 2
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 "Kevin, kill the homunculi. I believe they are the golem's senses. They should be easier targets than the golem, whom I think Aldous is able to take on in this particular form."

I do eventually want to make Galadan a Brightness Seeker, as I am still trying to mesh the elven ideas of the afterlife with the Pharasma one. There may actually not be any difference to them, but of all the prestige classes out there, this one is somewhat interesting because it regards the metaphysics of death at least somewhat realistically.

"The little dog-like things are homunculi. Beware their bites, as they are poisonous." Galadan sagely warns as he draws out his heavy mace. "The large creature is a flesh golem. It is immune to most magic, and it's flesh is impenetrable against most weapons. Be wary if its attacks become more erratic."

Galadan is alarmed by the sight of the hideous golem and the strange dog like creatures guiding it. "What in the Nine Hells is it?" He wracks his mind to determine if he knows anything about such creatures. Knowledge (Religion) + Lore

It's quite alright if you need to take a break. We all do at some point. Perhaps someone else could take over as DM for a time? It depends on what the rest of us want to do, but this is a fairly interesting campaign (and Galadan is an interesting character).

Galadan takes 20 to search the balcony for anything suspicious (DC 34), and also detects alignments on the statue, attempting to determine if it is enchanted in some way. He will then turn to the door to see if it is locked, after Aldous has searched it.

"All things considered, I think it is most merciful to kill them. They are innocent creatures, in that they intend no harm, but they are destructive and dangerous even without intending to be. And they are blocking our path. Stitches is somewhere within, along with his... 'creator', supposedly, who might be able to shed some light on the situation with the undead and the Whispering Way."

"If the crates are wooden, I suppose you could try putting them in the crates. But I think the creatures would be able to break out eventually. Most crates aren't made for the permanent storage of metal eating monsters." Galadan says from behind the door, still pointing the crossbow at the cowering monsters.
