I need to go to the hospital for a few days so I can't really post.

No it does not stack.

@Parvin Yes he PMed me and he said he was sorry to leave but had to. The way I was running it I had planned on using the paladin for a few things but nothing I can't work around.

@Aris'arial no worries. As long as your still with us I call that a win.

Cloud Walking, Disguise and Sacred Weaponry lasts 19 minutes. Resistance lasts three hours and ten minutes.

Finja sees four other scales shining in the dark as she retrieves each she gets a vision as to their powers

Cloudwalking: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast levitate. A pillar of roiling clouds rises below the levitating object or creature, growing and shrinking with the target’s altitude. This pillar is 5 feet in diameter (regardless of the target’s size) and provides concealment (20% miss chance) to any creature or object wholly contained within.

Disguise: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast alter self. While disguised, the target gains a +4 bonus on all Bluff checks made against evil creatures.

Resistance: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast resist elements—but only against electricity or cold.

Sacred Weaponry: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast align weapon, but only to make a weapon lawful or good. Unlike a normal align weapon spell, this effect can be cast on an unarmed strike or natural weapon.

Parvin Sees her healing closes all superficial wounds and begins the healing process on some of the deeper wounds. you now see that the middle aged man was only scratched and bruised. He is now completely healthy though he still whines a little.

Anevia, the human woman, says "Thank you. But you should save those for when we really, really need healing."

Aravashnial, the elf, speaks up saying "I simply must know all of your names if I'm to give you instructions. Also who is the best fighter amongst you?"

The middle aged human male says "I, of course, am Horgus Gwerm. No doubt you have heard of me."

It seems we are loosing Theoden Orrick. I was expecting some losses so it's no real worry. It's up to you if you want to recruit another member. Its not needed so I leave it up to you.

Viktor's magic pulls out one of the things glittering in the rubble. It is a silvery scale about the size of a human man’s palm. As soon as you touch it you have a flash of insight showing you being struck by electricity and cold , and you now you weren't hurt.

You know that three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast resist elements—but only against electricity or cold.

@Parvin as far as you can tell the elf is near death and the woman is not far behind. The middle aged man seem severely wounded as well.

From now on I think block initiative is a good choice. And a 48 hour bot policy sounds good to me too.

Theoden slashes the maggot in the abdomen and many of the creatures legs are severed as it's charred body falls to the ground. Viktor pounces on it mutilating it mercilessly. It is beyond dead at this point. As Viktor approaches the corpse of one of the maggots to retrieve his axe, Which you find intact he sees something glitter amid the stones.

Sorry I've been a bit disengaged this weekend. I put in my resignation at the school I teach at last week, and there's been a fair amount of stress and stuff associated with that. Plus, extra work taking my stuff out of the classroom and stuff like that. I'm going to try to get back into things on here, but just wanted to let everyone know what's going on in case I'm not consistent for a bit.

No worries. Thanks for the information. Good luck with the job hunt.

@Parvin The middle aged human seem to be severely wounded. Various cuts and bruises' cover his body. Every time you go to examine a wound he grumbles and winces. When the maggot's burst free from the spiders body he cringes and hides behind you. "Deal with those things quickly before they hurt someone important."

The last maggot is covered in flames and though blistered and burned it still lives.

@ Finja Thanks I didn't know you could do that.

One maggot moves forward into the reach of Viktor's bardiche, and before it could move close enough to attack, Viktor spins his blade and raises his weapon above his head then cleaves the thing in two

FYI: Most games put the "current map"-link into the description part...(where it says "In the year 4606 the Worldwound opened spilling poison and demons over the land of Sarkoris. Now, in 4712 the fourth crusade is slowly dying out and there is little to hope for. Are you willing to join the war against the demonic horde." for us).

That way, on the "overview", players can swiftly click on the map link, then jump to the new posts, plus it's a static link on top of the map.

If you want to put them in the campaign info tab, I'll roll with that, but the link in the overview is a tried and tested system for a reason :)
So if you'd consider that, I'd appreciate it.

I don't know how to edit that part. But I can edit the info tab that's why I put it there.

@ Viktor Dam I just realized what you where talking about with the AoO. I forgot a bardiche is a Reach weapon. Sorry.

Viktor strikes one in the center of the body burying the axe head deep. It falls to the ground bleeding gore over the cavern floor.

Another maggot closes with Victor five foot step then undulates and vomits forth a stream of putrid filth upon Victor. Viktor please make a fortitude check.

The last one scrambles across the distance to Theoden then copies its foul friend and spits the same mass at Theoden. Five foot step and Theoden please make a fortitude check.

Good question I should have asked. Would you guys like it if I roll your initiative?

The spiders abdomen busts open as three giant maggots crawl forth. Roll initiative.

@Parvin You look at Anevia's leg and it is broken in several places and though she is hiding her pain she is severely wounded with several deep cuts and bruises. Until she receives a regenerate spell she will not be able to get full use out of her leg. You can piece together a split and crutch from the rubble that should allow her some mobility. After you apply the splint she seems to brighten a little. "Thank you Parvin was it. I appreciate your help."

@Aris'arial You know Aravashnial is one of the preeminent scholars in the city and is often seen in the Blackwing Library. You know he is a wizard but little else.

Aravashnial continues to ramble. "As I was saying before being interrupted, who is the strongest of you? What is the plan? Someone needs to be my eyes. how many survivors are there? Sorry dear I don't remember you perhaps if I could see your face I could recognize you."

Anevia speaks up and says "I'll guide him. I won't be able to walk fast anyway. Mister Viktor is it? You may know my wife Irabeth."

@Viktor As you approach the spider, you see it's abdomen pulse and squirm in the half light. Do you continue to approach?

Lilitu starts to bounce on the tips of her toes in anticipation. She reaches for the door as Clarissa steps inside.

@Parvin:
With a successful heal check you notice that the elf's eyes have not only been slashed out but the wound was cauterized. His eyes are beyond your abilities to heal. He would need a regeneration spell to restore them. For now he must remain blind.

The elf seems confused but then he starts asking questions Hello. Who ever you are? Are you trying to heal me? It seems to me my eyes are damaged. Is it bad? I can't see. Are you skilled in healing? What's your name? Mine is Aravashnial. I smell blood is everyone alright? Where are we?"

You can tell that unless you interrupt him he will continue to ramble on without end. The human female saves you all by doing so. "My name is Anevia Tirabade and I don't think I can walk. I have no skill at healing though so if you can heal please take a look.

If anyone wants to make a sense motive check please do so.

The light spell Ends before you can see the far eastern wall. The walls and floor of this cavern have the rough texture of natural stone. The distant squeaks of bats echo broadly, suggesting that this underground space is large and relatively open. Grit and rock dust covers everything. Clumps of stalagmites jut from the ground.

The spider remains motionless.

Please make a perception check if you approach it.

Sorry about flaking out the past couple days. I have no excuse. Family just kept me busy. But I'm back. I hope everyone Who celebrates Thanksgiving had a peasant one.

The one is a middle aged human man with gray hair dressed in fine if dirty clothes. He seems to have several superficial cuts and bruises, though he moans as if he was dying. Another is a middle aged male elf with white hair also in fine robes covered in dirt. Among several cuts and bruises his eyes appear severely damaged. The last is a human female dressed in leather armor. Her leg is severely wounded.

The spider remains still.

The others moan and begin to show signs of life. One looks unscathed the others not so lucky.

Sorry about yesterday. Celebrating a little early. No you are not in combat with the spider at the moment.

Sorry, should be fixed.

I forgot to mention the map is in the campaign information thread

As soon as they are forced to move they start to run. They quickly follow after the priest and clear the plaza as the wall that was crumbling is hurled to the ground. The little ones you carry squirm to be set free. As you set them down only one takes the time to say thank you as she runs away. Behind you you can hear the battle reaching a fever pitch as screams of the fallen reach your ears. As you turn to go back and join in the fray the ground shakes and disgorges demons into the streets, the dragon and the balor lord clashed above. The fight is over in a few harrowing moments, as the balor cuts deep into Terendelev’s body, swooping down to strike the dragon and arresting her charge. A few more blows, and the titanic duo spiral downward toward the crowd.

The sight of the dragon smashing into the façade of the Cathedral of St. Clydwell is one no witness would ever forget. At that moment, a titanic demon erupted at the far end of the plaza, reducing several buildings to ruins as it smashed into this world. The rift it created shot across the plaza, and this time there was no escape—it opened below your feet, angling away into darkness. Even as you fell, the dragon noticed your plight. Though she saw death standing over her, she seized this final chance to save a few more souls. After she uttered a few arcane words and stretched out a bleeding talon, you felt her magic take hold of you, slowing your plummet into the darkness as if you were feathers falling into a pit. Yet the fall remained as inexorable, and as you drifted downward into the depths, the last thing you see was the Storm King standing before the ancient silver dragon, his sword lashing out and cleaving full through her neck. As her severed head fell, the rift above you slammed shut, and the light of the world above was gone.

You awake in darkness with dust and dirt swirling around you.

Those with darkvision:
You see a large cavern. About fifty feet(15.24m) by fifty feet (15.24m) with rough stone walls. The ceiling and far walls of this vast cavern recede into darkness. On one side, the wall has collapsed in an enormous mound of rubble—here and there the arms or legs of victims who didn’t survive the fall protrude. In the back of the cavern, a disturbing shape looms. Nearly the size of a horse, what appears to be an immense black spider crouches silent and still on the ground. Nearby lie survivors of the some you met above and some you don't recognize

Those that run toward the children reach them though the falling rubble and and devastation, but they are are to petrified to move. The priest that is with them grabs one of the children in her arms and grabs another by the hand and screams "Come with me children" and motions with her head. She heads away from the cathedral and across the plaza pausing to see if the children are following. The remaining children are still huddled in fear and refusing to run. Perhaps if someone was to grab the remaining children and take them to safety they would move?

@Aris'arial Could you switch Sarkorian with Hallit. Hallit is the language that is spoken in this area.

@Victor Oh I see what happened. When I said a campaign trait I meant one from this campaign. Chose one from this site Here

@Victor could you change Chance Savior to Reactionary?

A small group of children play in the plaza as the adults play drinking games. Soon the spirits of all nearby seem to improve, even in the shadow of war. As you browse the stores and stalls you come across one in which you find marvelous deals. The stall is large and sits next to a wagon. over the stall is a sign saying "Mad Marvelo's Magical Menagerie"

Anyone who purchases a magic item Here gets a 20% discount and a wooden token, or wooden nickel as the shopkeeper, a man named Marvelo. The token is good for a 10% discount on a return visit. Those who have just bought something like a scroll can use the 20% discount.

Once your shopping is done you realize it's almost noon. Armasse officially begins at noon, with the blessing of the festival by Lord Hulrun himself, ruler of Kenabres. The crowd gathered in Clydwell Plaza quieted as the aged inquisitor took the stage, clad in shining, resplendent armor. He cleared his throat, but just as he was about to speak, a bright light shone from the west, as if the sun were rising from the wrong direction. Hulrun’s shadow fell huge and distorted across the cathedral’s facade. A moment later, the sound of a thunderous explosion ripped through the air and earth, along with a violent tremor.

To the west, the fortress known as the Kite—the location of Kenabres’s wardstone—had vanished. In its place, a brilliant plume of red fire, lightning, and smoke erupted into the heavens. A moment later, a powerful roar accompanied a welcome sight rising from the crowd—Kenabres’s greatest guardian, the ancient silver dragon Terendelev, who had until that moment been attending the opening ceremony disguised as a human. Above, another form appeared, as nightmarish as the dragon was breathtaking. A humanoid shape three times the size of any man, with skin coated in fire and lightning, gripped a flaming sword and whip. The creature’s identity was immediately obvious: Khorramzadeh, the Storm King of the Worldwound, had come to Kenabres!

Around you people are screaming and running. A group of children huddle with a priest of Iomedae near a wall of the Cathedral. That wall is crumbling, and will soon give way. What do you do?

@Finja of Aaramor I have no problem keeping your appearance but you would lose the "She can pass for human without using the Disguise skill." part. If that's ok with you do it. If not let me think of something.

@Aris'arial of Winter's Fall you have your Intelligence listed as 19. This could mean one of two things you didn't spend all your build points when you made your character or you meant to have it at 20. I think you meant it to be 20. If so you are missing one skill rank and you have to pick one more arcanist spell for 1st level.

If you all want to head over to the game play thread, we can get started.

Welcome to Kenabres city on the edge of horror. It's the last city before the war front, and today is Armasse. Though originally it was about scholars coming together to study the history of the war it has grown to include training of the commoners in arms and tactics, the ordaining of priests, and signing into service of new soldiers and mercenaries for the war. Also in more recent years it has become more of a festival including food and games for the enjoyment of all

Though Armasse is a city wide celebration most of the entertainment is found in Clydwell Plaza, just west of the cathedral. Through good luck and patience you manage to get a good spot for the festivities. A few others have gathered nearby as well.

If you wanted to buy or do something just ask, there are plenty of venders around. Please take a minute to describe your character and introduce yourselves.

Well, I once had a DM that loved the old trope of separating the group from their possessions, specifically separating a wizard from his spellbook, and I usually played a wizard. Well it bugged the hell out of me so I make a point to give my players one thing I can't permanently take away from them.

If you don't want to do it that's fine just know you have the option.

@Viktor Hämndson yes I would allow that. It makes sense to me.

Sorry about yesterday. I still need to do a few things so we will start tomorrow. Finish up your characters. Like for instance the one item that is protected from my original post. Let me know what that is.

Ok I've made my decision.
Viktor Hämndson and Finja of Aaramor are automatically in. And I choose Aris'arial of Winters Fall, Parvin Ghazalah, Theoden Orrick. Please report to the discussion thread. Thanks to all who applied. I hope you get to use your submissions at another time. With that I wish everyone good luck.

Welcome welcome. I hope this will be a good run and we all have a good time.

Recruitment is closed. I should have my final decisions tomorrow.

Two hours and 27 minutes.

@Shedinn Delmirev Your short three points on your abilities. Where did you get the extra feat? Your short at least one language (more if you put more points in intelligence). Add one hp to your hps. I'll take a closer look later.
