Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included I have a battle shaman and she's a lot of fun. She's also low level and the party healer so i have no idea how much of a full caster she'll be. I personally feel not going full druid is a hindrance since the archetypes tend to delay useful class features. I've never seen an arcanist in action and therefore I have nothing to say other than I wouldn't mind seeing one. and there's my two cents :D
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included Sorry I was gone for so long, my laptop was acting pretty slow and I'm not mature enough to deal with a laggy computer. I'm going to assume Connor's not moving since he hasn't said he was moving. stealth: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (15) + 26 = 41 i could roll perception for you guys but I don't think you're gonna notice... Unbeknownst to you guys, an unseen person attempts to make a hasty escape down the stares, only to be stopped by a lumbering barbarian that's none the wiser to his being there. Instead of backing away, he thrusts his unseen blade forward, coming into view then. (pic) attack vs. flat: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Connor's Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included Sorry's it's taken so long to respond... my computer's been a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with and I'm one of those guys that if my computer lags to much i yell at it and do something else. I'm a very mature 26 year old. ok. Ibrahim, you know that the snake is an asp, a type of cobra. It's got a poisonous bite and typically is a solitary serpent, though the young sometimes stay together (this guy's not young) The two-headed dog bark-roar's in chorus as Ra approaches him, then attacks. attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damn it D: waste of a crit Round 1
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included initiative:
Cerastes' Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Ibrahim's Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Inferis' Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 Max's Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Ra's Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15 Doggy's Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 SURPRISE!!!
Those in bold get 1 action for surprise. both maps are up to date. I'm letting you all know now that I'm too lazy to keep adding stuff to the "current room" map so yeah... looks like we'll just have to use the map of the whole building. I'll change it so you guys can edit it. So no one will be confused, I"m gonna just go delte the current room link.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included The phantom is too decrepit to identify her by looks but the voice she speaks with is the same that you heard when the haunt triggered, so you can assume she was one of the family that lived here when the plague of madness fell. And the snake says it's medium sized so I'm assuming six feet long maybe? I'll assume this means you and Ra are with the others so... Cerastes Percept: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
You hear a loud howl echo from the building soon answered by a second howl. A large two headed, black furred dog appears from the doorway. It's combat but my timing is horrible and lunch is over. I'll try to get initatives and everything ready during my break in two hours. Ibrahim and Ra, you can act during the surprise round. Arranging yourselves now would be helpful.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included The skeleton lets out an angry cry as Connor's glaive seems to appear out of nowhere and strikes him. As it the skeleton attempts to build momentum to strike back Athrax finishes him off. As the skeleton falls, it's brittle bodie shatters, sending ice flying towards you. DC 11 for half Connor's Relex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Connor, do you stay where you are? Also Arthrax, since I'm having your attack resolve after Connor's (since it seemed to me you wanted to see what he was doing first anyway) you can just move now if you want.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included @ Cerastes - 2 charges do it. The doors shake slightly and a silver whisp-like thing floats down towards the ground infront of Cerastes. The vauge image of a woman stands before him and speaks in ancient orisiani. "Thank you but i cannot rest while my guards bodies lie broken. Please, let them all rest properly so I too may rest." If you have nothing to ask of her her form dissolves into the silver whisps and seemingly melts into nothing in the sunlight. now for yard stuff. stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 wow... As you approach the southern most outbuilding you notice out of the corner of your eye a rather large snake lounging under the stone table by the building. Max's Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
actually, before i continue, let me ask. Is the party split or is all of Cerastes's stuff happening before he and Ra joins with the others.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included each haunt is different and requires a different means to defeat it. You can typically find out how to defeat it by surpressing it. It allows the haunt a momemt of clarity to attempt to make contact with the living and express its needs... or at least thats how i play them.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included A spacious yard fills the compound east of the house. To the east, several small stone outbuildings have been built right into the compound's outer wall. A well stands between two of these outbuildings, opposite a stone table and benches that side in the shadow of the house. To the west, two sets of steps, both flanked by columns, lead up to doors into the main house. To the northwest, an open doorway leads into an extension of the house, next to a small structure with a domed roof.

I just wanna feel included BONUS STUFF! R@mshackle's headache: 1d100 ⇒ 80
None of you get headaches, but you do know that some people in town do have them in great lengths and severity R@Mshackle: 1d20 ⇒ 14
R@mshackle's Bonus Rumor:
Jhestine, The owner of Tempting Tonics, is attempting to sell her entire stock. Some people are whispering she hopes to runaway with a lover she meet in Chesed and is moving north. Good Doctor Rhaym's Bonus Rumor:
An eccentric man drinking only rainwater believes to know the cause of the migrains the people of torch have been suffering from. He claims that someone has tampered with Crowfeather Palace, the area where most people tet their drinking water from. Lilly's Bonus Rumor:
Children have been talking about the Junkmaster, Garritt, and how he had apparently found something in his junkyard. He's been keeping quiet and more recluse than usual which only fuels the suspicion that he's hiding something. Meri's Character's Bonus Rumor: Children have been talking about the Junkmaster, Garritt, and how he had apparently found something in his junkyard. He's been keeping quiet and more recluse than usual which only fuels the suspicion that he's hiding something.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included I suppose now's as best of a time to tell you that when I ran this encounter for my real life group it ended in a TPK One of the skeleton quickly shambles towards the intruders, it's ice encrusted weapon slashing down upon the foe foolish enough to stand blindly at the doorway. The other hangs back and anxiously awaits for something warm to approach it. attack: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included I'm going to be a nice GM and assume you guys reorganized yourself on the way upstairs. If not, feel free to reorder yourselves on the map. at the head of the room you see an L-shaped table with many chairs taking up most of the floor space in the loft. A second, smaller table sites near the entrance and several windows look over the snowy grounds of the lodge. In the southwest corner, a large map hangs on the wall, opposite another door in the northeast wall. Two skeletons in armor and wielding a decrepit look sword stand expecting you, their bodies seemingly reinforced with ice. initative!:
Arthrax: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 Connor: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Demona: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Meri: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Skeleton: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Skeleton: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 *coughcough*: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Round 1
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included yeah, sorry. I'm about to send the pms to the others. Been busy at work helping run a fundraiser christmas tree auction. Got me one in the process for 55 bucks. Prelit tree, skirt, and ornaments. Needed a tree since i recently moved into my own place. Pretty excited about all of it despite living paycheck to paycheck.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included With a satisfying click, Max unlocks the door and (i assume) opens it in time to see Ra's ax digging into the spine of the last skeleton, cutting it in two. it was affected by hold portal which i had to look up. I didn't know it was just shut and locked again... i thought it was off limits without magical aid. good thing i looked it up.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included Apparently this is game enough that i can't post on a work computer even on my breaks, so this is it until i get home. Gotta start bringing my laptop which i don't like doing... oi... The skeleton feels the blow done by Ra, but still stands despite obvious breaks in its bones. It and the other skeleton attacks. attack vs. Ra: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
attack vs. Cerastes: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included The bandit's face goes a pale shade whiter than he already was and gags. He would have vomited if there was anything in him to vomit. "We don't know anything about this magical winter." The bandit said weakly before collapsing back into his bed. He started another coughing fit again before he could continue if a soft tone, barely more than a whisper. "Just hired muscle. Rohkar's our boss, mean son of a b!tch he is. And he's not even top of the food chain. We get this... thing. I dunno its name or what it is. It looks like a flying blue goblin. It gives him orders. But something tells me even that thing is nothing more than a middle man. Take my advice and go home. This hostage your looking for, if we ever had her she's probably dead already." bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 Arthrax sense motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Dunno if Connor or Meri went in too so i just rolled sense motive for the two i know went in. edit: damn. Would have been great if he could have bluffed you again.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included Just so you all know, my internet and everything is out again at my house due to the high intelligence of the technition leaving my fios cable exposed and thus it became cut. Really ticked about it. Also my neighbor got smart and i can't connect so for the time being, until saturday hopefully, I'll only be posting at work.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included The town of Torch is a moderately sized town on the end of the Seven Tears River. A town famous for its ease in crafting with skymetal due to a violent purple flame on the top of a hill which lead to the name of the town. This has lead to a economic boom in the town, though one would not expect this as most of the money is taxed by the Technic Legion. The famous torch of Torch has mysteriously gone out, and if not returned soon could spell doom for the town due to the high taxes imposed on them. Teams have gone out to try to discover what happened however not have returned. Councilor Khonnir Baine has also gone missing. He has lead two expeditions in search of a cause behind the torch's sudden extinguishing. The first time he returned, the second he has not. As such, the Torch city council has offered a 4,000 gp reward for his return. Even if dead, the reward will still stand as they claim to have a scroll of resurrection that they will use to revive him if need be. Khonnir Baine went missing in tunnels he had discovered by the weeping pond. they were discovered after he noticed signs of unusual traffic near the banks which lead to the discovery of the submerged tunnels. It was here that he has performed his two expeditions and here is where he is expected to be missing. phew, little difficult when i don't have a ready made intro to give you guys. The adventure path assumes you more or less know each other already and you also have one more tidbit of unique info... but since i don't remember your character names I'll just give it too you all after you make your introductions.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included One of the men coughs for a bit before clearing his throat. "Could you come in here, yelling takes too much energy. We don't have the strength to fight back so you'll be safe." bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 Arthrax sense motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
I only rolled sense motive checks for them because they're the one's who seem to be actively engaging in the men.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included Oh the joys of playing with something I know little about... Unfortunately I can't retcon as far back as Max getting scared but I can at least retcon this turn perhaps. Let's see. These checks happen before the doors slam shut. Cerastes Percept: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
The two of you are both able to see the door closing on its own, though you sense some misdirected malevolence behind it. I'm going to say you notice the same thing with the gates. So I'm gonna have people role some religion checks. Cerastes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
lulz. Ok, you both are able to identify what's going on as Haunts, which are the products of terrible physical or mental trauma that happened to a living being at some point. Knowing the history of the Necropolis, and the voices you've heard, you can determine that they're products of the cult of lamashtu's madness curse thing all those years ago. You also know that haunts can be suppressed through positive energy, though to destroy one something must be done to calm the angered spirit which can sometimes be discovered by suppressing the spirit or other means of communicating or commanding the undead. I feel better now knowing that you guys have some kind of idea as to what the heck is going on. last but not least, Cerastes, now knowing this information, will you most likely continue your attack against the skeletons or retcon your attack to attempt to suppress the haunt. Note, only Cerastes and Ra know for sure that the door is a haunt as they were the only ones in the haunt's affected area.
Milky Way Bar:
I just wanna feel included After Cerastes entered the home, the skeletons immediatly took notice of him. As he was physically taller and therefor more imposing in their rudimentary mind, he was the larger target. (ba dum dum pish) As such, they focused their attacks on him, save one who was unable to reach him without provoking an attack from the dwarf. red vs. Ra: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
blue vs. Cerastes: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
green vs. Cerastes: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12
