Garrath flies into a rage and storms against the Scorpion-like creation, as he grows to the size of a giant. He stops in front of the stairs leading down into the pool. With his now over-sized reach weapon he thrusts the Lucerne Hammer toward the terrible looking construct. But simply misses his target. (Garrath will have a 15' reach now.)

Lucerne Hammer: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 193d6 + 19 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) + 19 = 25

Garrath will pull out his Lucerne Hammer and stand next to Brandark.

attack Ogre 1st Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 262d6 + 16 ⇒ (6, 4) + 16 = 26
attack Ogre 2nd Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 172d6 + 16 ⇒ (5, 2) + 16 = 23

The big barbarian slices into the Ogre with his first thrust, but misses with the backswing.

Garrath's Fort Save Payalysis: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Garrath's Fort Save Disease: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

If Garrath's Fort Save is a +13 then he saves from both of these attacks. If it is a 9, then he failed the paralysis save and is paralyzed. I will go ahead and make Garrath's attacks assuming that I missed something, which is likely since I don't usually run the character.

Mwk Greatsword: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 212d6 + 13 ⇒ (6, 2) + 13 = 21

BAB +5, Str + 5, Mwk +1, PA - 2, Reckless Abandon +2

Garrath will easily strike and drop what is clear to be one of the more powerful Ghouls, a Ghast.


GMPC Garrath to move gameplay forward.

Garrath sees more Ghouls and goes in a Rage. As soon as he steps in over the dead body on the floor he is hit by a powerful stench but is unaffected by the horrible odor.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

I see your stats show a +13 Fort Save. I calculated a +9. I am sure I am missing something. Garrath has a lot of pumps. Either way he saved.

He then engages the fourth Ghoul.


Going ahead and finishing this up.

Garrath takes a step and brings his Greatsword down hard on a Goblin (#3), killing the hapless little green bugger.

Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 242d6 + 3 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 3 + 6 = 13


Second Surprise Round
Garrath moves into the Throne Room and engages a Goblin Dog (#3).

Round One
Garrath attacks with his Greatsword.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 222d6 + 3 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 + 6 = 18

He drops the hapless Goblin dog.

Garrath steps up and attacks a startled Goblin. Goblin 1

He hurts the little fellow, but does not drop him. Just missed a Crit for Garrath. I forgot these are a little stronger Goblins. They are a little stronger, but not necessarily smarter.


GMPC Garrath

Garrath takes the rope and grappling hook.

Garrath's Range Touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Needs a 10 to catch.

But the grappling hook failed to grab and fell back to the ground.

Round Five

Garrath tries again.

Garrath's Range Touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

The hook catches firmly.

Standard Action.

Garrath climbs to the top of the tower, standing at the edge of the pit, looking down on two Goblins struggling to climb out.

Move action.
