@everyone; It is definitely a struggle to communicate clearly through this medium. I learnt a lot from everyone here and in the future will attempt to put more ooc info in the RP interactions to attempt to help clarify things and keep everyone on the same page.

@Herman; I see this is your -3 character, so one thing to remember is that many authors in PFS see intimidate as short term coercion. The target will eventually feel resentment to those who intimidated them and respond accordingly; and Ulisha needed two things from Anwald, call off the immediate assassins and convince the Red Revolution that she is not an Enemy of the Revolution.

Adrenaline and divine magic? I like to change how I imagine the world to match the mechanics instead of changing the mechanics to match how I imagine the world (doubly so in this format).

I enforce the rules strictly, no need to add extra handicaps to your characters (not that we are at risk of a TPK right now.)

Ayla slams the striker with a solid blow, the stiker stands on his feet for a moment... before collapsing to the ground. She is then able to move around and surround the unarmed sniper.

Eliphaz and Vina sees to the wounded while Lakadee uses the downed striker as footing to stand.

Janus skillfully disarms the sniper. You see him glance down at the sword and tanglefoot bag hanging from his belt, deciding which to draw next.

The stiker faces the new threat and tries to stun Ayla; but she is as fast and dodges his blows.

The half orcs face twists as she tries to decipher Ayla's words, and then lowers the crossbow. "Shiny? Book Lady? You must be the Pathfinders! Why didn't you say so! I almost shot you."

"Now do you have the money? If I can pay Anwald restitutions I might be able to get him to call off the assassins... He won't be easy to convince though, he has quite the grudge against me."

Following the merchants directions you find Ulishas hideout a days travel from Daggermark.

The hill ahead is not much to look at. It gently slopes away from the river. A shallow cave is near its top, smoke from a campfire curling upward in the gentle breeze. The grass wafts slowly along a gently curving path up the southern face of the hill, ending in a few switchbacks as the hill grows steep near the top.

As you come over the last switchback a half-orc scrambles to her feet and levels a light crossbow at the group. "Now you just turn around the way you came and forget you saw anyone here..."

Janus is able to share even more regarding the Vessels between, you are also able to ask around to verify his information of find out even more. Given Januses history with the Vessel Between we are calculating his result as taking 20 with a +2 circumstance bonus, 20 total.

Knowledge (local) or diplomacy (gather information):

15+ or Janus:
The assassins of Daggermark are more affordable than other hired killers. They refer to themselves as the Vessels Between, as they take targets from life to death.

20+ or Janus:
The more one is willing to pay, the more highly trained the assassin he can hire. The guild doubles as a school for assassins in training, and even these neophytes are available for hire.

25+:
Assassins sent on missions outside of the city often work in pairs so as to better protect one another.

As the alchemist eagerly takes the glands and begins collecting catalisks they elaborate; "A deal is a deal. While back there was a half-orc blathering about some important blade or sword or something she found. Moonsilver, Sliverhex, or somesuch. Kept going on about its history to any who would listen. Well I overheard that she won’t be needin’ that sword soon. The Vessels Between or on her trail. You just need to go out there and grab that sword once they’re through, and I happen to know where they found her little camp.”

She distractedly gives you directions to the half-orc's camp as she starts up a burner. One of the apprentices hands you the 200 old, two alchemists fire, and three potions of cure light wounds.

This finishes the 5th quest. We will begin the last quest shortly.

You have the maximum rewards here: one point for the fresh adhesive, one for the glands, and one for finding a desperate alchemist. This alchemist already offering you everything they can.

The apprentices are happy to lead you to their master, a twitchy gnome named Ezmerlilly Vanderpoof. The shop is an absolute mess, a half dozen projects underway as the gnome runs around in a mad rush to produce results. As the apprentices introduce you, the fresh webbing, and the rare silk glands Exmerlilly waste no time cutting a sample of the webbing and testing the quality.

"Hmmm the indicators are correct... Don't try soaking old webbing in urea, I'll see through it! Scarce it is! That is why every charlatan in pawning off fire beetle glands as spider silk! Your material looks good. 200g, and I'll toss in some healing potions and alchemist fire for the glands. You look like the adventuring type, leave that here right now and I'll throw in a valuable rumor I picked up from my clients."

As you travel the streets and markets of Daggermark you come across a couple apothecary apprentices drinking black bean coffee and speaking anxiously. For the price of a coffee and some understanding words you find out that their master, Ezmerlilly Vanderpoof, recently failed to deliver some promised goods to the Poisoners’ Guild. She needs something to appease the guild before they decide to drastically renegotiate their contract.

Vina harvests the silk glands successfully and dwells on the spider egg problem; they need somewhere dark, protected, and with lots of nutrients. Perhaps a corpse will do?

From your trip in it was obvious that these are not the only spiders of this species in the Shroudwood, the spider population will survive the loss of these eggs if they do not survive.

Only the silk glands are harvestable, Vina knows that it is impossible to get poison for dead spiders of this species: these spiders must be milked to harvest their poison.

Janus and Herman finish off the last spider in spectacular fashion. The spiders dealt with it is an easy task to retrieve the orb of web. It is full of spider eggs, the eggs are worthless in daggermark but the fresh webbing will sell well.

The silk glands from the spider corpses are salvageable, but it will take a skilled had to remove them. DC 15 Survival or Heal, you have two spiders to attempt on.

With your map and your skill it is an easy matter to find your way out of the forest and back to Daggermark. Now to find a buyer.

What is the convention for GMs rolling saves for players in PbP? It feels like it might save time, but it also feels like taking the dice away from the players, and rolling dice is fun as a player.
