Sergant Voltan Sertane

"Get out of here wretched beast, before I take your life." He swats at the bird with his spiked shield in a backhand swing, but the small beast avoids him.

"A lovely day to you too captain. What brings you out of the white walls today?"

Gondork wrote:
What do I hear? Is that one of the crows that stole my eyes, coming to take more? My cloak, the only thing that protects me from this hard environment, perhaps? I wish I was back home, sitting on my momma's lap...

"T'was not I kind sir, I've no taste for eyes. Your cloak is certainly a lovely thing, though huge. I imagine it does keep you warm at least." You're unable to see the witchcrow turn its head, checking you out from both sides with its eyes. If you couldn't hear the occasional flap of wings, or how others were talking about it, you'd never know it was some bird-creature

Temperance tries to get some dirt on Vandermir

Baron Vandermir is a strange one! the elf hardly ever leaves his manor these days. I'll not question his eccentricities though, he's one of the most generous men I know of. Its because of him that this town has an orphanage.

I had on a suit of +1 champion full plate, a mwk heavy steel shield, a mwk longswrord inscribed "ballinger", my grandfathers sword, with a holy symbol of mitra built into the crossguard. a headband of alluring charisma +2, a mithril dagger marking me as a knight of Alerion, and a cloak of resistance +1

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn keeps engaging in a knife fight with ash, knowing he can ill afford to turn his back on the rogue, while the demon breathes fire over them both.

mithril dagger: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 241d4 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
mithril dagger: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 91d4 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

both miss before concealment modifiers. so won't bother rolling them.

Demonspawn. Mitra will stop you some day.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn stands, defying odds, though he looks grievously wounded. burned, slashed and stabbed.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Havelyn draws a mithril dagger, and stabs in the darkness to attack Ash.

mithril dagger (1-5 miss): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 231d4 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 121d10 ⇒ 5 misses.

you notice that he doesn't heal himself, and guess that you've drained his resources.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

i'm on my back again. threatened by the elemental and the demon. the elemental already took his attack and missed.

I lay on hands myself
lay on hands:

and try to stand up
AoO_from_Neji: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 311d6 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Havelyn rises, seeing his opening, Neji comes in low, slashing at an exposed bit of flesh , and makes contact, causing some of Lord Havelyn's wounds to re-open, having just closes from him laying hands on himself some.

longsword@neji: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 241d8 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21
looks like it hits. Neji does the 24 AC count the +1 from Haste ?

As Neji falls for the opening, Lord Havelyn plunges the claw deeper to gain the footing he needs to swing his longsword up with his shaking hands, guided by Mitra, and gutting Neji for more damage.

fancy wordplay but no special abilities or deceit really, just dice numbers. if the 24 misses Neji, ignore the 21 damage. don't forget the end of rage 10 hp drop at 5th level... and remember that you have Fast Healing 1 for another 8 rounds... you should get 1 hp this round from your turn.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lay on Hands is a SU ability, and doesn't state it provokes an AoO.

In shock, Havelyn raches down while trying to keep his guard up, touching Donnagain's body

lay on hands: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 5) = 17
Father! Stay with me!

his eyelids flutter, as he suddenly breathes in, the hole in his neck closing up mostly.

Havelyn does try and take a step off the grease. a 5 ft step since where he's going isn't difficult terrain. but requires an Acrobatics check b/c of the grease. as he steps into flank.
acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Sergant Voltan Sertane

lay on hands: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 4) = 17

Havelyn stays on the ground and tries to attack from prone, taking a penalty to hit. he no longer seems to be swinging as wildly and powerfully, taking a little more care with his swings to try and hit.

longsword@leo: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 301d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 hit

and then tries to get up provoking only one AoO, from neji. up to neji if its claw, or touch. he provokes for either so your choice what you want to try and strike him with, so i'll let you make the roll.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

mitra's light nourishes me!
lay on hands: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 4) = 15

longsword@leo: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 181d8 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 = 27
ooh! buuurn!

longsword@leo: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 211d8 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
swing and a miss!

He does try and step up to you guys.
acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 8 instead he falls prone in the grease.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn locks eyes with Neji, who can feel the almost oppressive force as Havelyn calls on the might of Mitra to smite him. and then winds up to swing, his pace quickening, swinging his sword with all his might.

longsword: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 321d8 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23
longsword: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 311d8 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25
not sure if that drops you or not. but he's reserving the last swing for Leo anyhow.

longsword: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 241d8 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24
@leo: f+&*. yeah. my AC is 24 with my smite on him... except i'm hasted, so its 25 hah. it misses. bite it holy b!!++!

Sergant Voltan Sertane

i love you blessing of fervor. those all miss.
Foul dog, keep your claws off the chosen of Mitra!

Sergant Voltan Sertane

i smite leo. he's gotta go down.
longsword@leo: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 271d8 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
longsword@leo: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (17) + 19 = 361d8 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22

that'll do it. Leo drops

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn lays hands on himself, closing more wounds, and swings twice at Leo.

longsword: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 281d8 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
longsword: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 141d8 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19

17 damage to leo

Sergant Voltan Sertane

a. The wall is a hard corner, spawn can step back a step, but not around the corner. B. with haste spawn will have five attacks.

havelyn locks eyes with the devil in front of him, and proceeds to start vivisecting the unholy curr

longsword: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 331d8 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18 spawn goes unconscious, having sustained 37 damage.

havelyn steps up five feet,
longsword: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 301d8 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
longsword: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 231d8 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
two hits vs ac 19 Neji for 34

Then lays hands on himself some.
lay on hands:

Oh and bleeds for 1d6 ⇒ 4, but the effect ends after his lay on hands

Sergant Voltan Sertane

you. Will. Not. Take. This. Keep!

longsword: 1d8 + 16 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 16 - 5 = 18
longsword: 1d8 + 16 - 5 ⇒ (8) + 16 - 5 = 19

lay on hands:

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn saves vs. Hideous Laughter before succumbing completely to his giggles. will VS hideous laughter: 1d20 ⇒ 19 he resists with a full round action and stops laughing. before looking menacingly up in your direction.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

i attempt to bash down the door with a break check

strength: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

which is vs. a reinforced door, which Temperance used a scroll of hold portal to. which ups the DC by 5 to break. resulting in a net DC of about 30.

Sergant Voltan Sertane

You evildoers will fail to bring down Balentyne on my watch! I'll consecrate you all to Mitra and see you hang for your crimes!

Sergant Voltan Sertane

Lord Havelyn climbs over the barricade and reaches the door.
or almost reaches it.

Lay down your arms and surrender to justice evil-doers!
