Kneepuncher quickly moves in and gets close to the assassin.

Grimace exits the room with a lot of grace and style. Zo! notices and applauds.

Gammer gets in and tries to take a shot, but is unable to out wit his opponent.

Xic moves to the door and then tries to cause a head ache with Triloteya

Dr. Soryn moves tries to harry the assassin

Triloteya uncannily moves away from Kneepuncher tyring to set him off guard and takes a shot with her pistol.

Ulrich, you do notice some of the missing tools scattered about here. The mitflits were using them to dig and expand the cave. There are still some odd things like the spooked horses and Andor's condition seems more than the mitflits could have managed. It could be just bad luck and coincident or...Well the main issue is solved for now.

You head back to the village and already the heavy clouds of mosquitos have abated. Some of the more advneterous villagers are already outside surveying what will need to be done next. But at least mosquitos won't be the problem.

Haru also returns with Andor, they looked briefly around the clearing but aside from the gear, no actual body of Lastre was found. However, you are able to bring Andor back with you in order to get treatment for his disease, but he is done with his field investigation days. Haru recovers and says she will still go and see if she can discover anything more about the disposition of her friend.

Venture Captain Smine is pleased with the reports and says he will keep an eye on the goings on in Shimmerford. In fact he did get a report while you were returning to Tymon, that the locals found the cave where the mitflits were burrowed had collapsed and the found a small and intricate paper doll of the Mosquito Witch found in the mud nearby.

Botting both Honeysuckle and Arendel

Arendel goes with the old stand-by of magic missle.
Magic missle: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4, 1) + 3 = 12
The missles pelt the creature seriously

Since the creature has done its reaction Honeysuckle pushes though the terrain and strikes twice.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 v FF
Damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

And with one solid hit finishes off the quick moving fey.

At this point we are waiting for some more table to report successes. You have the option of doing another wave of other creatures, or we can just wait for everyone else finish in a few days.

That was a clever enough and that the creatures are not the brightest to begin with.

A number of the mitflits answer.

"It wasn't us. Well it was us, but not us us. Gwibble scared us in to doing it. He though by telling the bugs to attack humans we would drive them out and be safe here. But that angered the real Mosquito Witch! It did it did! But we can go now? We won't come back if you let us go"

In short you realize that mitflit have an affinity to talk with vermin and used that ability along with the stories of the Mosquito Witch to cause the current issue driving the towns folk away. You can tell some what immediately that the bugs have started to die down and get back to "normal" level of annoyance.

If were are not PbP I would have the quickly keep using its reaction in a more annoying way for everyone but now just to keep away from Emoubu. It can move up to 50 feet with its reaction. But that just prolongs this combat.

Emoubu moves up and gets ready to strike, then Jiki swing and the fey does its quick dodge and move again. Not before getting hit by the Bard's Blade. Before running to the other side of Jiki.

Almost dodge the bolt completely, the mitflit gets singed a bit.

Ulrich's razor however does not seem to gain any purchase.

But then the Boss starts to cower to Mafalda's evil eye.

With all that distraction, Suzzavyan explodes in a flash of deadly steel that cuts down the Gwibble the head Mitflit

Taking a moment you gather your breath and scout a head. In one room you find almost another dozen mitflits, but they immediately cower and surrender to your approach.

Yes, you can spend entropy for extra damage. However, with Zo! providing cover, I am going to just fast forward a bit

Ulrich Dazzles the small creature and then strikes it down. It slumps to the ground.

Korakai brings his comapanion up from the brink of death then casts his shield.

Mafalda stares down the other smaller mitflit as it begins to panic (crit fail on the will save) and then knocks it out with some flying loose stone. The frighten made the difference

Suzzavyan recovers and tumbles up to stab the surprised boss Mitflit.

With no one left to support him, the creature flails his sword three times at Suzzavyan

What Gammer stated. As long as you don't have any crystal that does some type of energy damage, then you should be safe

quick map retcon. The Quickling should have been next to Emoubu. But then it does a thing

Emoubu finishes off the Milfit in one strike. He turns to strike at the quickling, but as he does so it speeds away back to the other side of the road and waits. Emoubu is unable to connect with the quick moving fey.

Jiki then stides across to catch up with the creature.

Map is now correct and there is just the qiuckling to deal with

With the extra super charged punch, The first explosive is smashed. I will go with the supercharge weapon being cast before hand

Gammer looks at the one device and goes.
"If that is on the corner, the rest are most likely in the same place, and the center" And his suspicion is correct.

Overhearing the chatter, Ykris takes notice and moves towards the stage looking to cheer on Zo!, but then symbiot detaches briefly and crawls under the stage to disable the central device.

Red are bombs still active, Green are disabled, Xic and Grimace can still act this round

Jiki starts his preformance and moves up but the little fay to too fast for him.

Honeysuckle does come around and in one swing smashes the creature back to the first world.

Emoubu does frighten the other one, and steps up stabing the creature critically.

With blinding speed the yellow fey creature dashes up to Emoubu and stabs twice

Arendel's flying staff misses the Quickling. Which he recall that they unlike other Fey they are weak to silver due to their blazing speed.

The remaining Milfit, embolden with its master helping it, strikes with its sword at Emoubu with vengeful anger.

You take your path and start your way though this cave system. It seems to be a abandoned Iron Mine. Ulrich notices that it is low-grade but very abundant. This would be the reason for compasses to go wrong near here.

As you go around, you hear a loud buzzing. A larger bloodseeker appears with a small blue humanoid creature. The small blue creature yells out and alarm and two more can be seen coming from the other hall way.

Haru is taken aback by the chiding. She is a experiences adventurer in her own right. "Yes heading in to unknown woods without back up is risky. But it is risks we take every day. I would still like to find Lasarte's remains. I will need to rest a bit longer before making it back to town. Leaving Haru, Andor, and Peaches safely with each other, you make your way to the hidden cave that Haru mentioned. As you get closer you do find more small footed tracks scattered about. This seems to be the place.

The bloodseeker is engorged and slow enough that you can pull it off with ease then smash it. A quick look over, she is fine except for the loss of blood that she will recover in time.

As she stirs, "Wha...How....Who?" She looks up and sees you then sees Peaches waging its tail. "Well thank you. I am glad Peaches found you. I don't know how I got here" She looks around and sees the scattered equipment. "Though I know how this is. These are Lasarte's gear" The elven hunter in the golden armor that also came though.

She holds up the sack. "I found this near by too" In the sack is an inky black potion. "I think it was heres"

Mafalda notice more small footed tracks leading out of the clearing with more scraps of clothing. As well as drag marks of a body. Looks like Lasarte was drag off that way.

Ulrich studies the runes and frowns. He realizes that these symbols aren’t actually occult runes or a real language, just scribbles intended to look frightening. Another false lead.

Mid round update

Kneepuncher is make a show of himself, but mostly is being ignored.

Gammer does realize that the best place to over see the whole show would be the booth above the stage. And briefly makes out someone moving about up there.

The dog clams down and recognizes you from before. She pads up and barks expectant and then starts to lead off to a near by clearing. It turns and barks trying to get you to follow.

Assuming you do....

About a hundred yards away there is a clearing. Ulrich notices as you enter the area, that everyone's compass and wayfinders are not working. They spin and point in random directions. The trees also have cryptic runes on them.

In the clearing is Haru, who is currently in a daze with a very engorged bloodseeker attached to her. Scattered around is also additional gear. A gold plated breast plate hangs off a branch, with strips of tattered red fabric waving out from it being blown by the occasional breeze. A sword and a dagger are also haphazardly around the area. Haur is holding on to some type of rucksack, that is covered in dirt and local leaves.

Andor looks up at the hanging breastplate and smirks. "I Think that is my statue"

We will be in rounds, but for now you can move freely about the main room of the hall.

Xic's inital survey of the hall determines that Triloteya (the Assassin) is no longer in the hall. However you are sure she is close by observing the situation.

Options:

* Locate a device (Perception)
* Disarm a device when found (Engineering or damage)
* Locate the Assassin (Perception)
* Distract everyone (and the Assassin) from your attempts. (Diplomacy or a useful Profession)

If you attempt to locate or disable a device you must either preform a stealth check to hide your actions, or someone needs to be making a distraction for the round.

Mafalda recognizes these as bloodseekrs or "stirges" and they do exactly that. They attach to you and then slow drain your blood.

Suuzzavyan strides forward and readies their sword.

Koraki waits till they bugs get close. And they oblige, slowing moving up towards Syzzavyan.

They take some damage but then attempt to latch on to Suzzavyan

You had back to the Skyreach Room

Radaszam acknowledges your report. "This is dire. Sounds like there are two problems. One is the assassin themselves and the other is the bombs. You will need to find and deal with the assassin. I can have my Obsidian Spiders take care of the bombs unless you feel up to the challenge to deal with both. It would be a good way to show of the versatility of the Starfinders."

Naiaj, hearing about the plot has 6 mk1 serums of healing waiting for you when you get back to the Skyreach Room.

You also get a message from Royo. He was able to analyze the data on the bombs you had gathered and says that aside from disabling the electronics, the explosive itself is stable against kinetic damage. So you could safely smash the device as well.

Honeysuckle smashes the blue fey creature and with Arandel's ray strike hitting and the rest of the assault on it, the creature takes the better part of valor and retreats in to its master.

Wrapping up combat to get ready for the final part. The CP will be adjusted as well as getting a bonus to initiative. Everyone is healed to full and will also start with an additional 5 Temp HP

The well placed shot takes out the one bloodseeker. Seems to have gotten the attention of the others. More warm blood.
