Female Human Cleric 2

I am sorry to have to do this, but I will be pulling out of this game. I'm starting a new semester at school and I'm taking 20 credit hours, and I fear with too many games I'll be too distracted to focus on school. I'm sorry to do this so suddenly and leave a gap, but my schooling is more important. I wish all of you the best of luck!

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya curses at her bad swing, trying again.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya lets his sword whip slide off from around her belt as she moves to attack the nearest enemy.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya moves forward, he normally carefree face full of caution. "Be careful Lir."

Female Human Cleric 2

"Oh look, it worked!"

Female Human Cleric 2

I'm used to having a really by-the-book DM who makes us roll for everything, but anything you decide is fine.

Female Human Cleric 2

To be clear, Freya had them surrender so there would be less chance of the party being harmed. Then she would conveniently leave the prisoners in the tender care of Lir. That way we could still get the job done while lowering the chances of us getting hurt. Effective? Yes. Breaking her word? Arguably.

Female Human Cleric 2

To be clear, Freya said this only to Lirrathan.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya messes up his hair, like she would to a child. "Well don't go complaining about this later than." She walks back their prisoners, chuckling as if amused by the whole situation.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya laughs. "Fine with me, just offering you a chance to do things your way."

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya smiles, as if at a child's follies. "I am going to go check on my armor in a more modest environment, and I am putting the prisoner's in your care. Remember, I said I would not harm them."

Female Human Cleric 2

Oh. Eliminate. I can come up with all sorts of interpretations of that!

Female Human Cleric 2

Welp. This is gonna be awkward.

Female Human Cleric 2

Hey, I said I would spare their lives. If we hand them over and they get executed well that's Chief Sull's problem. Not my decision :)

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya ignores Lirrathan, holding her word and kneeling to stop the bleeding in the woman.

Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

"Bind him, I've got her."

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya coils her whip sword back, bringing it behind her in preparation to lash out again, the fierce joy of battle on her face. "If you surrender you'll save your own life as well as that of this woman's, on my honor."

Female Human Cleric 2

Meh bad.

Init: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya laughs. "Was that second part a question?" And she lashes forward with her whip sword.

Charge Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

AC is currently 16 from charging.

Are you implying a relationship between the two? Arc asks the guard.

Lol. Wizards.

Freya giggles at Arce's comment, but otherwise mostly follows the others lead.

Female Human Cleric 2

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya pats Lirrathan on the shoulder. "Ok, I'm sure they understand the position they are in and who is talking to them right now." She smiles.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya takes a break in her work. "That is a good idea Mirel!" Freya stows away her holy symbol.

Female Human Cleric 2

The map is called madness. I'm screaming Sparta when we run in.

Freya leads the group, sword whip in hand. Upon seeing the barricade Freya does what she can to remove it.

Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya smiles and nods. "Consider it done. We shall protect Lann as well."

Female Human Cleric 2

Darn, was hoping we had a bit more than that. Well I have nothing to buy, first thing on my to do list was a wand of CLW. I'm ready to move on whenever you guys are.

Female Human Cleric 2

Agree on each carrying a potion of CLW

Agree on potion of restoration

Those are the only things that really jump out to me. I agree with pretty much everything else you've done, good bookkeeping!

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya bounds from location to location, acting like somebody on vacation. She asks a lot of questions of the locals and attempts to see as much of the area as she can before coming in for dinner.

Female Human Cleric 2

1d8 ⇒ 8

I like the die roll :D

But I have also seen some AMAZINGLY over-powered character creation rules, so . . ..

My favorite is a two level dip in monk (master of many styles) for crane riposte. I pretty much want to strangle whoever does this.

Female Human Cleric 2

DWBI, I like Freya the way she is. Just used to playing more complex classes

Female Human Cleric 2

I always forget how dreadfully boring leveling up clerics is lol.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya looks like a small child as they enter the underground, looking up in awe as she takes in the civilization, her wanderlust getting to her.

"Well met Chief Sull. I was leading another party when we were attacked and captures, They rescued me as well, and upon hearing their mission decided to help see it through with them." She smiles. "Wouldn't have been able to pass up on the adventure anyways."

Female Human Cleric 2

"I agree with Arcs...Arshes...the wizard." She smiles apologetically as he tries to get the name around her accent.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya chuckles. "Oh how convenient, you need help" Regardless, Freya admits she knows a thing or two about armor and comes over to help.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya smirks. "I am not objecting to anything that requires you to take your shirt off Lirrathan, but do it quickly."

So nothing else in the area? Are we good to move on than?

Female Human Cleric 2

If you're playing a wizard and you WEREN'T hogging the knowledge rolls I would complain!

Freya draws her whip sword and begins scouting around the area, looking for threats.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Female Human Cleric 2

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Freya eyes the armor admiringly. "That looks pretty light, good work."

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya shakes her head. "I wasn't made for this."

Female Human Cleric 2

Adamantium umbrella, that's a good one

However, the term "DM bolt" came from lighting. If I were you I wouldn't carry around a metal umbrella ;)

Female Human Cleric 2

Agreed, on all accounts DM

Female Human Cleric 2

I guess the point is we don't want to spend a lot of time on small, unimportant things. We assume the party trusts each other and shares relevant information. We refer to each other by class so we don't have to type an essay to describe ourselves every time we meet somebody. While not all parties are "highly trained elite squads", unless specified or if it's a problem we assume there is some level of organization that keeps the game moving. Since we all share the same goal here (which is a mission we all got) we don't believe there is inner party conflict or confusion.

Female Human Cleric 2

Don't worry mate, I'm the same way. Friendly debate. I think you shouldn't have to put an "lol" at the end of every sentence if you're not mad.

I think a big point here as well is that it's a PBP pathfinder game. If we took the time to go over every little detail to make sure there was no error in anything we did and zero metagaming and never assuming anything and making sure we checked out every fact...well we just wouldn't get anything done. Yes Freya wanted to bring the dwarf to justice, but is it really worth dragging every person we don't like into a city and going through a trial? So yes, we assume a lot to keep the pace going, which is a huge problem with PBP's and ends up ending a lot of them.

Female Human Cleric 2

1) Unless the party has some sort of inner conflict it's normally assumed you share knowledge.

2) Same thing.

3) We weren't sure, we heard the facts and made a decision. Personally, my character wanted to apprehend him and bring him to official justice, but the rest of the party convinced her he was already guilty, so she IS a little upset about it. Besides, I doubt he would have even showed up on a detect evil since he was an arcane caster and I imagine a fairly low level. But the DM telling us he had an evil heart kind of solidified our guess.

4) Why can't you refer to somebody as their class? If I found a wand of fireballs my first thought, in character and out, would be "Give it to the wizard." It goes with the inner party trust, unless there's some sort of conflict between party members you assume that everybody knows what everybody knows, including skills. Normally this isn't a problem unless you're in a subterfuge or evil campaign. There is enough to keep track of with resources, spells, gear, and other expendables without worrying about being perfectly accurate on meta knowledge within the party that is really a trivial problem as is.

Female Human Cleric 2

Arcessentes is rocking a total of 5. And you don't want your wizards taken out of play by a bad save

Female Human Cleric 2

There are arcane vs divine, it makes the entire process entirely over complicated. On the off chance it's divine (which I doubt since our dwarven corpse was an arcane caster it would seem) then I will take it. If not, feel free to have it.

Female Human Cleric 2

My saves are pretty min/maxed. A slight difference won't change them much.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya glances down at him one more time. Perhaps you would cause more trouble than it is worth. Forgive me Desna.

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya looks down with a bit of sadness. "Should I try to save him?"

Female Human Cleric 2

Freya shakes her head "Why do you fight dwarf? You are clearly outmatched."
