M Grippli Druid 1 (reincarnated druid)
Frepply had turned a bublous eye toward the man who was taking a close look at him, he licked his eyeball as he tended to do when he wanted to see things differently... The cat creature interupted with some type of caterwalling that Frepply could not make out except to say that the creature was none too happy about the current situation. Frepply pointed one of his spindly fingers, the one humans would call his thumb at his chest as he proudly proclaimed. "Frepply, Grippli, Frepply not a frog." He looked at the other man...

Most of these strange one wear clothes he glances around uncertain if their is a custom to speaking or how one should go about electing a chief of the tribe, and if this even is a tribe. After awhile his curiosity gets the better of him. "I am Frepply of the Lashtongue tribe, we live in the badlands near one of the great cities, I have not made sense of this which is going on..I am just out of the egg....are we to be as a tribe?"

I was not speaking of actual historical accuracy I was working backwards from the famous fantasy stone plate armor. Someone else has a whole thread up about wooden armor, and druids. I think it came from the section of the rules about making armor from wood and then casting ironwood on it.....someone was asking about making the armor from wood even without being able to cast ironwood on it...
I am not too worried about it at the moment.

Still a work in progress, I am thinking I will try out the Xenophobic drawback, as both components of the drawback fits really well with this character's backstory. Xenophobic
Spoiler: You have a hard time understanding and trusting those with unfamiliar ways and appearances. Effect: You take a –2 penalty on Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks made against creatures of a different race or from a different culture.

Frepply looks around once he opens his eyes more than a sliver, he at first thinks this prison is much smaller than he had heard, but he soon recognized the holding area for what it is.... Frepply looked around the small area for any usable materials, stone, wood, even checking the bedding. With two rocks a grippli of the lashtongue tribe could fashion tools.

I will be sticking with druid mostly....... Point buy 17
Both include racial modifiers
Updating skills today as well. Traits

Frepply had found that agent Francis listened to no type of plea or bargaining... He took in the sunlight and would have preferred a sky full of stormy clouds. He did not even question the silence comment, he was flung in and did his best to land as if he had jumped of his own volition. That failed miserably. The gnome is beating on his chest... He eyed the gnome and quipped at him "At least tell me you got a small wooden shield I asked for....how's the arm?"

Glad to be here. I noted the lack of an arcanist and maybe when I get more point-buy I can look at adding to ability scores and level into arcane for level 3 and beyond. The two-world magic trait fits that "concept" already, as a basis for adventuring into arcane magic.
Tie my shoelace. Spoiler: I do tend to get submersive in what my character is saying, more than getting into thoughts. I could do a bit more. I also assume I can keep special/spellcasting abilities to myself.
I can always improve my posting. Did you like the part of the tranquil grove seeking a way to the surface?

Anything and everything is contraband if you are unlucky. However since the Sovereign has been preaching tolerance they won't stop you based on race (at least they won't say they did) but because of the way you are acting or dressed. So how would naked have gone over?
Humm good idea, I think maybe being caught with holy symbols of an outlawed deity or something of that nature might work. Something that gives obvious grounds for imprisonment, though I am not certain in this campaign world what contraband would lead to conviction that quick. Thanks for the pointer, I think I going with trained as a druid and released in town as a "tribal druid on a walk-about around town". Sure to get picked up and identified rather quickly, like an aborgine with a spear getting stopped in NYC.......
Continuing to update my character.. I am thinking that technically I am not going for the "prison-born" slot, but that is the DM's call. DM question
Spoiler: I think I answered the reason why the resistance would search for the escape route by starting from the prison rather than starting from the surface. Simple logistics I guess. I am going for storm druid rather than cave-runner which I think makes me not fit the prison-born theme. I would appreciate feed-back if you get a chance. Thank you!
The Ten-Minute Background (I didn’t name it, I think it takes longer than 10 minutes all together) Rough draft.....
Spoiler: Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile, a prized possession…whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum…more elements are encouraged! Smuggled into the prison in a waterskins as a tadpole, by a man he calls father, (detailed later) due to the annual flooding the resistance belives a grippli raised withi the prison might be able to discover an escape route. The resistance has not bothered to inform Frepply of their use for him. He is growing in strength and may one day discover a route to and from the prison. On the shore of the underground lake he met an old man who spent long hours staring into the depths of the still waters, one day Frepply looked back. The man was surprised but they became fast friends. The old man Cogline was a druid and began instructing Frepply on the ways of druids. Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game. Frepply wants to find a way between the prison and the surface, Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him or her but that he or she is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. Frepply imagines weather to the point it is his domain, even though he has never seen it, at some point in the future he will call upon the storm and be surprisedby his ability to stormburst.... Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
Step 5: Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don’t have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor
DM .....my thoughts are something like this... Spoiler:
Frepply was smuggled into the prison via traitors to the empire, as an egg or ttadpole hidden within the waterskin of a level 5 convict, suspecting if any way out of the prison existed it was hidden through flooded caves in a lightless word. The convict taught the young one and located the water source as a home. The convict he knows as "father", and he knows no other place than this....... Let me know if I am on the right track!
