Fren fishes in his pocket for his holy symbol Kern if you would translate. I am a servant of a god of law as long as you do not attack us or other travelers we will not trouble you and your people. Fren places his holy symbol away.

Fren perks up at the idea and then rubs his chin for a moment. That's a good idea but I think it best to only use the lead amulets when assaulting the camp she may notice something is wrong with one of us having such rank when she never say us before. Kyra should disguise herself a bit to look more mannish. Fren quickly blushes Not that you look mannish now but from our new allies earlier comments there aren't any female bandits besides her and that might give away our trick.

I will be standing with the group on this Ser Jory. We agreed to let the bandits live if they surrendered I need to keep my word as does the paladin. I know my god would abandon me if I betrayed my oath and I believe the paladins would do the same. We would be next to useless in your gambit. In fact we would be dangers to you because we would need to repent. That means confessions of all that happened here and that would spread your secret plan to our churches. Your options are to let them go or kill us possible for a man of your skills but it would be a major headache for you and your uncle. You would need to work harder to get another group of mercenaries and risk a great deal of personal danger if they found out you killed the last ones. Sorry about being so slow. Here is my fascinating plan to stop him. Oh can you give a list of his weapons with my perception check

Fren step forward as Kyra raises her sword. Young lady I feel that the purpose of this endeavor was to gather information. We might want to question him as he is a bit more high ranking than the others and could give an accurate troop count and such. You roll twice on critical hits you do not just double the damage done

Not simply killing them all is a terrible idea. Oh well Kern, Brok you heard the fat man we may as well start repairing the ballista and some bolts made. From what they said we need them. Oh I suppose I should wake the dying guy. CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Can we take 20 on those checks or do we need to roll. is so this is to assist Kern. k.enginering: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Seeing the shocked expressions on the guards faces he pauses for a moment to say We good morning I hope you all have a pleasant stay at the trading post. I will give you a lovely funeral. then continues forward to in front of the still open gate resting the log on the ground huffing a bit from the strain. I can totally see him just strutting past like they aren't a threat.

So good saps for everyone but the wizard. Sorry Kern you will have to not attack people at melee distance. I feel for you. Fren stands waiting in the barn for the enemies to come and prepares to cast longstrider on himself. If you fail and survive don't return. Jackass. Hiding behind the barn door when stealthing no idea what modifiers to add due to total cover.

I am fine with that I simply thought that you would want some protection from the mounted men who will be trying to kill you. Fren smiles wryly That is why I left myself out as bait. If you feel you can do this who am I to tell you different. Thank you though dealing with them waiting for Brok and Kyra to help was worrying me.

Sorry work all day. No, it will be you with the bag where the wagon is now. Brok will be backing you up and hiding in the bunk house for when they refuse to surrender. Kern and Darvin will be on the Gate wall and will be the ones closing the door. After they climb back up they will be able to assist with arrow and sword respectively. I will have the bar and seal the gate trapping them in with us a guarding the door. Fren spends the rest of the day making a weapon cord out of twine for his warhammer. And as many saps as he can. craft arms/armor: 11d20 ⇒ (8, 3, 3, 12, 3, 14, 11, 2, 7, 14, 5) = 82 First is the cord then the saps.

Fren listens to his compatriots for a bit frowning and looking around before turning back to the group. Here is my suggestion for fighting them and closing the door. First someone will stand behind a table with a rock filled bag and some gold coins on the table. We should place it near the bunk house so they have to come in deeply and we can hide someone there. Next we will have two people who have ranged weapons will hide up over the door. If we can make two knotted ropes dc5 climb they should be able to get to and close the door behind the bandits. Then get back over the wall quickly to fire on the bandits. I will be hiding in the stables and drag the bar to the door and place it in. At that point whoever is hiding in the bunk house will aid the person at the table and we fight. Oh and we should look the doors to the other buildings so they. Any issues with my idea and any spells you think I should use tomorrow. I can carry the bar because I can longstrider myself for a 40 foot move. 20 racial+10 Domain+ 10 spell. So from were I am standing I can get the bar to the door especially since I won't slowdown because of encumbrance. Even with the door moved in to give me total cover.

Fixing the Ballista is for after we deal with this raiding party. Since this Stag Lord will probably send a larger raiding party after we deal with this one. Working Ballista will help thin the attackers and cut down those who escape.

Fren turns to the group. Well from what I see we have three objectives. The first objective get prevent the bandits from ever leaving. How difficult would it be to close or block the gate after they entered Oleg? Second is to hopefully get information on the remaining bandits. Oleg if you could describe Kessel and Haps so we know who to capture and supply us with a few saps and something that will allow us to hide near the gate. We will of course pay for them. Lastly we need to get some of the defenses up and working properly. I saw the Batista and I think I can fix at least one in a day.

Fren thoroughly enjoys his bath unfortunately ending up letting Kern leave ahead of him removing his chance to get his clothing and armor cleaned. He sighs and takes out his formal robes and putting them on along with his axe and hammer before heading to the "Great Hall". Clearing his throat to draw attention to himself Fren stands up I am Fren Leone a cleric. If you missed the giant key on the back of my head I will inform you that my deity is Abadar the Master of the First Vault. I am here to make sure that this city prospers well for the betterment of all. Fren looks less afraid than the pictured cleric.

Standing on the reins and gaining the ability to see over his horses head Fren turns to the group with a smile. Thanks for the pep talk Brok. As for being seen as bandits t should be fine that looks like our contact with Restov he should have gotten a letter about our arrival. It should be fine Fren lifts his hand and strokes his beard his voice getting lower and lower as he continues to speak. Well as long as he got the message to expect 5 of us not the four from the original charter but what's the chance that the message went astray in the bandit filled lawless area around here.

I would prefer using Fren's picture for the encounter map. so http://static1.paizo.com/image/avatar/PZO1110-Loremaster_90.jpeg This is Walter I live in New York sadly alone. I am in graduate school to become a librarian with only a year left. I started my first Table top game of Pathfinder July of what is now last year. I was originally going to play D and D but there was a society game open the week I decided to start so I just play pathfinder since I have a bunch of the books.

A dwarf rides with 4 others looking about with a furrowed brow that bespokes great concentration scanning the horizon. I hate horses, I hate horses, I hate horses, I can't just kill it it costs money, I hate horses, I ha... O thank Abadar that better be the trading post. Turning to his traveling companions I see a tower do you think we are near Oleg's Trading Post. I hope so a hot dinner and bath will be a good end to his trip.

This is the first time I was ever chosen when there were other people gunning for the same spot. So my little dwarf is an obsessive planner especially for spells. If you want me to carry any specific scrolls just ask.
Nemesis (Story)
Spoiler:
A past enemy seeks your ruin. Prerequisite: You must have at least one enemy who wishes to cause you great harm. If you have multiple enemies, the GM may keep the specific nemesis secret, or have many of your enemies work together against you. If your nemesis is not already a challenging foe, it either advances in strength to become a challenging foe or allies with others to achieve a higher challenge rating. Benefit: Having a nemesis drives you to excel in training. For each new level you gain in a favored class, including the level you gained when you chose this feat, you can choose two benefits instead of one. One of these benefits must be either a bonus hit point or a bonus skill point, even if other options are available. Goal: Slay your nemesis. Causing your nemesis's death through your direct actions qualifies even if you do not strike the fatal blow, but another killing your nemesis without your involvement doesn't count. Completion Benefit: You gain a +2 inherent bonus to an ability score of your choice. In addition, you may retroactively apply your extra favored class benefit to the favored class levels you gained before taking this feat. Special: Thwarting your plans becomes an all-consuming goal for your nemesis. Your nemesis gains a +2 bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against you. Whatever you try to achieve, your nemesis seeks to tear down.
I plan on grabbing this as my lvl 3 or 5 feat depending on how long it takes to meet the prereqs. Story
Spoiler:
A dwarf is shouting at a man in the splendid robes of an Archbanker of Abadar. It is Taxfest(real Golorian holiday) you should be listening to the people of the city not your damn sycophants. The dwarf waves his arm at the collected group of clerics and businessmen. The man closest to the Archbanker stands up. Be silent you are speaking to Prince-Archbanker Cole Ravnagask, the ruler of Braganza in Molthune, holder of the original copy of Abadar's holy book, The Order of Numbers. you are just a lowly cleric just mast you novitiate. The dwarf gets up and shouts This is pointless you need to stop building The city is barely half full and you have commissioned another dozen buildings. "frequently shed the skin of the old and clothe itself in the finery of the new." doesn't mean never stop building especially since you are making this place a ghost town. At this Cole Ravnagask raises his hand for silence even the enraged dwarf quiets as he speaks. I am in charge of these land Fren. If you believe me wrong prove it. I charge you to build a city greater than this and I will follow your advice I swear this to Abadar. He smirks at the dwarf Now be gone take nothing from my lands but what you have on you and do not return, laugh until you prove me wrong. Farn left the halls and traveled looking for the opportunity to complete his task. Not noticing the glares from the business men at the feast. And the greed laced worry in their eyes. (They sell building supplies Cole's reign is a gold mine for them.) But as he traveled there was incident after incident, horses with cut girths, wagons with broken reins and a whole inns worth of people nearly dead of poison. He realized that people were after him and he needed to protect himself while completing his mission. He found the charter of the Swordlords of Restov to be the safest place to be since the bandits would keep his new compatriots on their toes without him having to mention the assassins plaguing him.

He is from Braganza one of the centers of worship of Abadar. The spread of civilization is one of the primary tenets of Abadar and he has his own view on how these tenets should be understood. Prove his own views correct and the foolishness of he Prince-Archbanker of Braganza. I have never played kingmaker but am involved in a pathfinder kingdom building homegame. I also have an idea for a story feat I want to go for at lvl 5 should I put up the paragraph now wait to see if I am chosen. Winwird has not created a profile. |
