Grand Lodge 2/5

Felicitations and congratulations are due unto you. May you live to see your first century complete and be well-remembered by kith and kin.

Grand Lodge 2/5

Perception+heightened awareness: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (6) + 31 = 37

"Hmm, I really should look into Skill Focus (Perception)."

I want a pearl of power 6!

"If there is a suitable means of communication with distant entities, and if travel is desired and feasible, then the greatest of magicks can enable juxtaposition and interface with any sentients with only minimal expenditures of time and effort. If your discussion is already including the multiannual transversal of the void, then simply learning enough about magickal endeavors is perhaps a preferable choice in transportation. One can only imagine that at the velocities engendered and the distances covered that the touristical aspects of interstellar flight might lend themselves to static ennui rather than wonder at changing dioramas." He shrugs and clasps his hands behind his back. "Also, a team for erecting a portal-stone could be sent in this manner as well. And has been, in the historical record."

interplanetary teleport has the capacity to go anywhere that you have knowledge about.

The elf nods slowly as the skeletal witch conducts her statements. He looks to the floor as if lost in his own thoughts. "Our own histories date back a scant dozens of millenia. Who knows what happened even prior to that time, but the actions of the Aboleth cannot in any way be discounted. I think," he pauses and looks to the instigator, Jitran. "I think that investigations into said actions of the seagoing race should be conducted. They are the enigma that shrouds much mystery in Golarion's past. It is possible that they, themselves caused the rise, and then the fall of the great progenitors of modern humanity: the Azlanti."

He shrugs a little. "I have sources that detail such with some definity, but those sources are themselves suspect. Perhaps, collation of all such relevant data could be conducted under the auspices of the Society itself?"

Grand Lodge

"One must posit that there is a reason for stereotypes, merited or no." The wizard clasps his hands behind his back and takes a few steps. "Subsentientization, the demeaning of a group to be less than persons, is useful to manipulate popular opinion and motivation, and as such, is practiced in many places to bring a populace to the necessary mindset for war."

He seems to be gathering his thoughts as he speaks, as if unprepared for this line of reasoning, but still speaking with far-ranging insights.

"Other stereotypes are often simplifications to allow one without a breadth of experience to assimilate differences and grasp them without undue effort. I postulate that we here, in this current discussion, find that the effort is due to understand the full spectrum of individuals and their characteristics, be they from ancestry or upbringing."

"So, the proposal before us is that speciation of dominant sentients on Golarion is not necessarily as many preconcieve? That evolutionary development has left seemingly disparate races merely facets of a single whole?" He turns, looks up with a finger raised, and nods. "As indicated by the young man, unorthodoxy can be difficult for some to accept. Also, the experiment to breed, hmm, culturally opposed specimens might be difficult. Might I suggest an exploration of the opposite direction, chronologically speaking? Is there an indication of divergence of a single categorization in the past?" He turns to look expectantly to the others gathered.

"I find myself more a student of the observable, than a intellectual theorist. Observing solely from your statements there, it appears you are promulgating unpopular hypotheses and haven't yet reached the stage in development to present them to banausic gatherings and institutions. I, myself, find the less erudite more closed-minded and non-receptive to novel positions and thought."

The no longer young elf pauses a moment, and casts a brief spell. A brief, and none-too-broad smile plays on his lips. "However, if you would like discourse to refine your position, and develop your evidence, someone here could possibly portray the role of Asmodeus' Advocate."

Grand Lodge

Sorry for the name on my previous post! DesolateHarmony is my player.

Forlanderion looks to the alchemist and raises a brow, unmoving otherwise. He responds in the Common Tongue. "What a strange request. I must admit that I am a student of many human cultures, but that one eludes me."

An elf of indeterminate age wearing scholarly robes walks with his hands clasped behind his back. He studies the gathered group for a moment, and then starts speaking in a far distant language before gathering himself and shifting to Common.

"Terendelev gave her life in Kenabres, contemporaneously to the unexpected incursion on Nerosyan and the other communities on the border. Halaseliax is aware of the WorldWound, and by extension, I expect the remainder of the elder metallics. An embassy to such select noteworthies would, if successful, increase the puissance of the Crusade dramatically. Mister Whitebane, I expect you are here to influence the Society to understand and sympathize with your homeland, and this might be a direction for which you might plead."

Grand Lodge

"Well, the life of an adventurer does have its own blessings. I have been able to access ancient memorials and lore that do not come to light for those who stay in the safety of the City. I still remember the Book of Infinite Spells, and the vast knowledge contained within."

The elf of indeterminate age looks back to Treasure Chest. "One can find gods of all walks and duries. Pharasma is the judge of the dead, the one who guides souls to the appropriate afterlife. Would you rather go on the endless seas with Besmara? Or spend an eternity with ... less sociable end in the Pits of Hell?"

He smiles softly. "I am sorry if that sounds harsh. Good people doing good deeds should never have to face such horrors. I did not mean that you would risk such a venture, just that Pharasma is the one directing such important distinctions."

Grand Lodge

"The Spells and the Scrolls both have instructors available. I am sorry, but as a field agent, and with people like Captain Dreng to work for, I cannot predict my time in any fashion, even with my focus of study on the Art of Divination..."

Forlanderion,

I ask a favor of you my elven comrade, if you have the time... would you be willing to teach your language to me. It turns out that alot of the uprooters can't speak a word of the common tongue.

"Of course I can help you with learning the fundamental tongue of the people. However, the course of study is extensive and involving, moreso than the dozens of other languages I have learned. Perhaps it might be better to make or obtain a Headband of Vast Intelligence with such learning already subsumed in the crafting? This would allow you to use the time saved for furthering studies in other areas. I find my own time so very limited, and I despair that there is so much I will never learn."

Welcome to the Society, good Garrick. All of us have our talents, and yours would be most welcome on tasks I endeavor.

Most recently I have been examining the vicinity of the town of Thornkeep, in the Riverlands. My own Arcane Talents have aided in successful missions, but someone nimble of finger and body would have helped significantly as well.

I hope you find some good groups to delve with, and watch out for the Worldwound.

Forlanderion, of Kyonin.

Perhaps we could begin discussions now, I agree.

However, there is a task I would very much like to accomplish, now that I know that it is possible. The Tapestry can connect points in Golarion, for greatly eased travel. Is there someone who knows how to connect to Iadara? I think the ability for pathfinder-elves to return home might be a way to study demons for the war at the worldwound, and also might be a focal point to bring aid against TreeRazor and his ilk.
