The pier has a gatehouse at its juncture to the harbor dock. It is a very long and wide pier, and several ships are being loaded/unloaded by longshoreman wielding cranes and hauling nets of goods over the rails. The gatehouse is manned by several large islanders, all with sinuous tattoos and large curved blades scabbarded on their mailed backs.

Noting all that down she glances about for any other ways into that pier

Felicia doesn't see the ship, but she does see a lot of activity. This harbor seems to be pulling quite a bit of cargo. One ship, the Raptorgull is loading down the boardwalk. A crane swings nets full of boxes and barrels up onto its deck, handled by many burly tattooed men

I assume thats unusual for this time of day.if so....
