"Not everything that we read in that library was falsified, and these people still know Korada's spirit. Part of Korada's domain is forgiveness; reformed evildoers are commonly a part of his flock." Feelo shakes his head, sad to admit it. "There may still be a place for Gastidem here. Everyone is safe now, I think we have to leave this for them to decide."
Feelo helps out for another day, making sure their research is complete and that the people of the Temple have a path to recovery in front of them, but he doesn't linger beyond a single extra night. The following morning, his happy Desnan feet are ready to get moving again, and he finds his mote out in the field and returns to the Grand Lodge.

Feelo had joined the others at the font, dipping his sole starknife in the blessing water; things will have gone badly if he needed to use it, but he'd be grateful to have this blessing if it came to that.
Inside Dakang's chambers, he murmers a prayer as he steps to block the stairs, drawing that same starknife as another shimmering starknife appears in front of the halfling, powered by Feelo's faith in Desna alone!

Feelo holds a hand out and shakes his head. A little dramatic, perhaps, but he doesn't linger long before concluding, "but I would want to know. I'd have to know. And you have to know this now."

"Wow, this is a lot to process Gastidem. And you know you're culpable, right? Desna's stars, but you can't just cut off people's fingers for a lark, just because they're gullible enough to believe it means something!" Feelo just shakes his head at Gastidem's blatent admission of his role in the plot.
Feelo turns and speaks with the other Pathfinders. "I'm not sure about a full confrontation in public, yet. Maybe we could reveal what we know to one or two of the disciples, and see how they react before we draw everyone in. Maybe Di Duang or Zhuang to start? Either way, the aasimar seem likely to side with us when presented with the evidence." He returns his attention to Gastidem. "Gastidem, we're going to see an end to this... is there any of the disciples that you think might be a little more willing to accept the truth about Dakang and his lies?"

"Well, that basically confirms what we learned in the library... though it's odd that the nature of the ritual doesn't lean in any kind of demonic direction. It seems to be just the symbols?" The question in his voice that ends that statement gives away Feelo's personal confusion over what they're learning.
"I don't know... maybe we should just continue with our tasks, gather the information we need for this assignment, but keep our eyes and ears open."
Softer, Feelo continues. "But I know I'll be preparing different spells for tomorrow." He otherwise looks ready to head back to the library.

"I couldn't agree more; this place is really starting to creep me out. I mean, they do live inside the Hao Jin Tapestry, so maybe that's got something to do with it? Feelo takes a step away from the body at that thought before continuing. "We should probably make a point to mention this poor guy soon though. I'm afraid it might be the husband of that poor woman who gave up her rooms for us to sleep in! And their reaction to the news should be quite telling. Maybe we should use that as a reason to finally meet with their leader... that Dakang guy?"

I just read through the whole thread to add a few notes to the Mission Briefing that Mera's been posting (thanks for that, by the way; it's been helpful to keep us on track!). I also added a list of people that we've met along the way.
Mission Briefing: A complete report on the temple with a focus on four key locations.
1) locate the temple’s meditation room, find evidence of any meditative techniques described there, and record any effects of performing those techniques. (meditation techniques documented, but not effects)
2) prepare a comprehensive catalog of all works in the temple library. (less than 10 person-hours using catalog)

Feelo doesn't need much prompting; the sudden appearance of the undead leave him with one tactic in mind. He instinctively reaches out to Desna, and she responds. Sparkling motes of divine energy that almost resemble small purple butterflies rush out from him in waves, targetting and crashing into all of the undead in the room. He takes a step back to create room in the hallway and watches the action unfold as he draws a starknife that he hopes to not have to use.

The temple kitchen is long abandoned and smells faintly musty. The kitchen’s massive stove and rows of cooking implements are all covered with a patina of rust and dark flecks of mold. Dangling in the center of the room, above a solid oak table, swings a halfling man on a stout cord.
"Song of the Spheres, what is this?" As soon as this fellow halfling is on the ground, Feelo is crouching near his head, a wand in his hand, slapping the unconscious cheeks and studying both lips and chest for any sign of breathing.

"Hmm, usually the Grand Lodge sends a trap specialist along on these things... guess they didn't think that would be a risk here inside the Tapestry?" Feelo studies the statue and tries to think of ways to defeat it, but really doesn't come up with much.
"I suppose we could just trigger it on purpose, and just prepare for the fall as best we can? I can ask Desna for some minor help."I.e. a guidance spell for the eventual saving throw

Desna wants me to travel, and bring her luck to unlucky places. Working in musty libraries was never the plan!

So, I creeped on everyone's sheets, and it looks like Jahz has UMD at +6 and Pai at +5. Would you two care to try casting mage armor from our wands? It's a DC 20, and if you roll a natural 1, you can't attempt that wand again for 24 hours, but the other PC would still be able to make an attempt after that.

"Sorry Mr. Zey!!!" a small voice yells, a little too loud and a overly chagrined. The halfing looking backwards at a Venture-Captain who is no longer there is dressed simply but brightly in colorful, sturdy traveling gear. He turns around, bounding on his heel, and introduces himself.
"Sorry about that! I'm Feelo, and I'm always late. I say I won't be, but then I am. But I'm here now!" He turns around to examine the portal that links him back to the Grand Lodge and studies it with interest. "That's pretty cool! Desna's stars, but that's pretty cool."
He takes a moment to quickly run up to everyone for a personal introduction, getting names and shaking hands, then finally gives himself some time to take in where he actually is, allowing some of the majesty to settle over him.
He follows Kembe's lead, asking to have his own wand of the same spell cast on him before proceeding.

Thanks for the run, Hawthwhile! The Chronicle looks good. One thing that I noted during this game--a simple thing, admittedly, but it worked well--was your inclusion of What do you do? at the end of every post. It really kind of puts the emphasis on the fact that you're not just expositing, that the Pathfinders need to respond. I think it's a good tool for PbP games that can sometimes get off track.

Feelo steps towards the middle of the room, focuses, and sends out another wave of iridescent energy, healing some of Quillian's wounds and giving all of the pathfinders a small burst of Desna's luck!

Pathfinders can freely move through allies' squares; Feelo doesn't have to do anything to allow Rizzok to move through his square.
Also, while there may not be a bless or inspire courage active, Feelo's been providing a +1 sacred or luck bonus to a single d20 roll each round from his channel. He's not channeling this round though, so that's expired for the moment.
Feelo prays briefly to Desna, with conviction. "Starsong, protect me from the evil these assassins do!" He sucks in a deep breath and plunges headlong into the yellow cloud of stinking vapors. He hugs the wall to his right, turning the corner and following it until he nearly tramples Breezy! He opens his eyes and steps to her side, taking in the room and beginning to plan his next action.
This spell wards a creature from attacks by evil creatures, from mental control, and from summoned creatures. It creates a magical barrier around the subject at a distance of 1 foot. The barrier moves with the subject and has three major effects.
First, the subject gains a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves. Both these bonuses apply against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures.
Second, the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment [charm] effects and enchantment [compulsion] effects, such as charm person, command, and dominate person. This saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus, using the same DC as the original effect. If successful, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to possess or exercise mental control over the target. This spell does not expel a controlling life force (such as a ghost or spellcaster using magic jar), but it does prevent them from controlling the target. This second effect only functions against spells and effects created by evil creatures or objects, subject to GM discretion.
Third, the spell prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Summoned creatures that are not evil are immune to this effect. The protection against contact by summoned creatures ends if the warded creature makes an attack against or tries to force the barrier against the blocked creature. Spell resistance can allow a creature to overcome this protection and touch the warded creature.

Feelo jumps when the dagger sails a little bit too near! Not liking this at all; I'm a bit too exposed! Desna, keep an eye out; I'm fragile! He quickly moves into the corner behind Bennett; at the same time, he touches Bennett with a light tap on the back of the knee. "Desna's luck watch over you, Bennett!"

Kyras should still receive a +1 luck or channel bonus on a d20 check due to his position in the initiative order, and probably Breezy since she hasn't had an opportunity to use it since it took effect, and we kind of act in block order.

If Feelo needs to make any saving throw during this combat, he will use his Adaptable Luck ability before the roll. When used before the roll, that grants a +3 bonus. Making note of this in the stat line at present.
Feelo moves into the room, following the others. He steps past Breezy to get in, his Desna-enhanced speed allowing him to move swiftly past the leshy.

He quickly focuses inwards, drawing Desna's healing and luck in towards himself, and he releases it in a burst of just faintly visible stars that flow outward from him, settling on all in the room except for three of their foes.

You can use Bluff to pass hidden messages along to another character without others understanding your true meaning by using innuendo to cloak your actual message. The DC of this check is 15 for simple messages and 20 for complex messages. If you are successful, the target automatically understands you, assuming you are communicating in a language that it understands. If your check fails by 5 or more, you deliver the wrong message. Other creatures that receive the message can decipher it by succeeding at an opposed Sense Motive check against your Bluff result.
So, if you want to pass a secret message, you need to make a DC 15 check (DC 20 for complex messages). Your intended target (which could be all of us; it doesn't have to be just Quillian on review, "another character" does seem to imply only one target for the secret message) understands the message if you succeed. Anybody else who observed the message but wasn't the intended target needs to make a Sense Motive check; if they meets or exceeds the results of your Bluff check, they can also understand the message.
If your Bluff check fails by 5 or more, then the intended target misunderstands your message.

Feelo seems ready to go exploring down the eastern corridor. He points down it with a lift to his eye, as if to silently ask "ready?" But, he senses confusion and disarray behind him; he waits until the party seems to have more of an idea of what it wants to do before he does anything else.
Feelo intends to investigate both passages, only from their entrances. He won't do so until he has support from the other Pathfinders (i.e. no solo unarmored cleric checking out the hallway!). Will decide which passage to head down once we know what can be seen from the entrance to each.

Ooop, that's my mistake; it's an artifact of a bad HeroLab calculation. Feelo has fleet of foot, raising his base land speed to 30'. He also has the Travel domain, which normally increases land speed by 10'--which would leave him at 40'--but he only gets spells from the Travel domain, and not the powers (due to choosing Luck as his devoted domain). For some reason, HeroLab still applies that extra 10' bonus land speed. While I bumped it down to 30' on his sheet here, I neglected to also remove the +4 bonus to jump from having a higher speed. I'll make that correction under my Skills spoiler now.
Would you mind a ret-con where Feelo casts his longstrider domain spell before jumping, to get that bonus back? The duration is 1 hour at his level; it makes sense that he would do that in preparation for a precarious jump, given the conditions.
