Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening
![]() In the past week, numerous residents of Falcon's Hollow have fallen ill, each suffering from the same hacking affliction. Local remedies prove as useless as prayers at the Church of Iomedae, goddess of valor, justic, and honor, and already at least one town elder has been claimed by the wheezing death. Fortunately for Falcon's Hollow, a canny local herbalist named Laurel has traced the source of the malady to Brookman's well, a small spring on the edge of town, and a rare fungus called blackscour. By banning the use of the spring, the town constabulary hopes to prevent further infection, but such measures offer little respite to those already afflicted. While Laurel has attempted numerous treatments, she has been unable to cure the disease. She lacks the reagents to brew one last unusual medicine, though all the necessary elements can be found within nearby Darkmoon Vale. Thus far, though, no townsfolk have dared to venture into the wooded reaches and secure the ingredients for this potential cure. ***** Percehed at the edge of civilized lands, the small town of Falcon's Hollow has always had to rely on itself to solve its problems. Meanwhile, the uncaring lumber barons squeeze the common folk for every last copper, deaf to their pleas. Now, the hacking coughs of the sick are heard throughout town. The plague has come to Falcon's Hollow and the town's leaders can't be bothered to stop it. Begin by describing yourself and explaining what has brought you to town, whether you are local, have been traveling and this was along your way, or you came to see someone you know, etc. ![]()

![]() The small, rather nondescript Taldorn town of Heldren lies just north of the Border Wood near Qadir. On the road to Zimar, Heldren sees its fair share of trade and those passing through on their way somewhere else. The quaint buildings are all mostly made of lumber in Heldren, and who would be surprised by that with it being so near to the woods. Most everyone here survives by farming, herding, or cutting wood. The people are friendly enough, though they tend to keep to themselves. The population is comprised mostly of humans, though there are a few members of other races; six dwarfs, four gnomes, three elves, and one half-elf to be exact. They welcome visitors with open arms, but don’t let that fool you – every able bodied man, woman, and child in this area would not hesitate to take up arms to defend their home and country; they are ever vigilant watching for threats from Qadir. It may not be a large town, with its population of only 171, but it has what it needs and has extra to spare. There is an armory, a smith, a general store, and an apothecary if you’re looking for something to help keep you alive on your travels. The Silver Stoat has rooms to spare if you’re looking for a place to tuck in for a night or two, and the stables are kept in proper shape to care for your mounts or animal companions. Or, if you are looking to rent or buy a horse you can do so at the stables as well. The barber is more than a man with razors and scissors; he can also pull a bad tooth and replace it with a gold one. In fact, he can treat a lot of ailments but he’s prone to doing so with leeches. There is a temple of Erastil, if you’re the praying type. The temple also has shrines to Abadar, Gozreh, Pharasma, and even Sarenrae. Those who are familiar with Heldren spot some unusual behavior today, as people are gathered together in small groups whispering among themselves. Occasionally someone looks back towards the woods with a mixture of curiosity and fear in their eyes. As you make your way through the town, you catch snippets of conversations. It would seem that the townsfolk are concerned over reports of snow in the Border Woods and the unnaturally cold temperatures with it being summer. There is talk of an uneasy presence in the woods and the hunters claim to have come across new, dangerous predators that have never been seen in this area before. Some say that the town’s soothsayer, Old Mother Theodora is really worked up over it claiming them to be omens of dark times to come. A man arrived in town yesterday, bloody and bruised, suffering from frost bite. He said that his caravan was attacked by bandits and strange, wintry creatures near the edge of the Border Wood. He was part of an escort for Lady Argentea Malassene. The bandits took Lady Argentea, and he alone was able to escape death to come find aid. You hear word that a hot-headed local woman, Annalísa, plans to go into the woods with her dog to see what exactly is happening for herself. Diplomacy and/or Knowledge (local) checks can be made to gather more information on the events that are taking place in this area. Please take a moment to describe your characters and what they are doing, including what brought them to Heldren in the first place. ![]()

![]() Welcome everyone. Please take some time to double check your characters to make sure that everything is in order. Check each other's characters, too. Often times it is easier to overlook your own mistakes. I want the opening game post to be of high quality, so I'm not going to rush it but I will try to have it up by tomorrow evening. ![]()
![]() Hello everyone thanks for checking out my recruitment thread. This will be for the Reign of Winter AP, for which I already have two players and am looking to fill out a starting group. We currently have a gnome ranger (Fizzlewhisk Ettinfell) and a half-orc scarred witch doctor(Snjórinn Verkirsson). The scarred witch doctor was designed to fill the slot of a healer, so we’ve got that covered. What we need is a standard arcane caster type and a tank. 20 pt buy in
Submissions lacking a background and character description will not be considered. It would be very difficult for me to consider someone’s background to be too long or too detailed, but oh so easy for me to consider it to be too short and lacking substance. I will, naturally, be taking the opinions of the two players I already mentioned into consideration while choosing new characters. Please answer any questions that they might pose to you during recruitment to help us get a feel for your character. ![]()
![]() Hello all. I just took over a Reign of Winter campaign and we need to replace a player. After some group discussion, we would really like to have someone with a strong healing focus join us. I ask that you use the same methods to create your character as those who are currently playing did so I will share with you what the previous DM had to say on that: •1st level
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. I will send the other players over to look at applicants as they come up. Please answer any questions posed to you by one of the current players as well as myself, their opinions are paramount in the final selection. Thank you. ![]()

![]() Welcome everyone! This will be the discussion thread for you to discuss the game and get to know one another. I ask that you please be active in the game thread and try to post at least once a day when applicable. Characters who go several days without posting without a reasonable excuse will be replaced. I would like to ask each of you to create an item wishlist for your character and place it on your profile. This helps me to strategically place loot, and make plans for future findings. Also, on each players birthday if you tell me it's your birthday, I'll give your character an item from your wishlist. ![]()

![]() It has been a long journey for all of you, though some have traveled much further than others. Dust from the road still clings to your bodies, caking together with your sweat forming an itchy layer of drying mud in some places. Your feet are tired and your back aches, in truth you’d like nothing more than a place to sit and rest while you enjoy a cool drink and a hot meal but you know that there is not time for that now. The funeral should be starting any moment—if you aren’t already late. The few townsfolk you see watch you warily as you make your way through the town. You stopped one to ask where you might find the cemetery, and the old man begrudgingly pointed you towards the north end of the town, grunting the name, ”Restlands.” You thank him, but he only stares for a moment before shuffling away. You make your way north and soon find a road leading off to a gated cemetery; a few people linger around outside of the gate. One woman stands apart from and facing the crowd, her sorrow is clear on her face. Traveling up the road ahead of you are a couple more people that seem to be just arriving in town for the funeral. A sadness sweeps over you again as the reality of why you are here hits home, your dear friend Professor Petros Lorrimor has died. ![]()
![]() I will be running the Carrion Crown AP, starting with The Haunting of Harrowstone. All characters will start out at level 1, roll for wealth based on class, and max hp for level 1. Character advancement will go at the medium rate. To get your ability scores, roll 4d6 and drop the lowest roll. Do this 7 times, and then drop the lowest set of rolls. The remaining 6 numbers will be your ability scores (before any racial adjustments). To save you time, and to get to the heart of what I look for in players, you may submit an incomplete character so long as the following aspects are in place: Name, Race and Vitals (age, sex, height, weight etc.), Class, Ability Scores, Traits, Feats, and Background. These are the things that I’m the most interested in, especially the background aspect. This is a roleplaying game, make your character real to me and tell me his/her story. All players must read the Carrion Crown Player’s Guide before submitting a character concept. It’s short, so it should not take long and it can be downloaded for free from Paizo using the link below. It is necessary to read the Player’s Guide because the game requires that each PC be familiar with Professor Petros Lorrimor, and I require that the players be familiar with the setting. I strongly urge each of you to take advantage of the campaign specific traits and class recommendations found in the book. If you would like an extra trait, you may take a drawback in exchange for an extra trait. The Carrion Crown Player’s Guide can be found here for free! ![]()

![]() Silian has made the suggestion that I have each of you make a wishlist spoiler on your sheets to include things that you would like to have or experience for your character. This will act as a cheat sheet for me, making it easier for me to help you get the most out of the game. I like this idea and would appreciate it if each of you would do this. Welcome to Fallen Angel, I hope I'm able to do at least a passable job of being a good DM. I welcome any feedback that you have. ![]()
Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening
![]() On this day, the 22nd day of Lharvion, the quarter of Dura is abuzz with activity as the people prepare for their beloved Races of Eight Winds. The voices of merchants can be heard, lifted above the din as they extol their wares. The distinct sound of children’s laughter occasionally breaks through the rest of the noise. Groups of older children can be found roaming the streets, stopping here and there to peruse the stalls, some distracting the merchants while their friends pilfer goods before running away laughing. Here and there a scuffle breaks out, swiftly to be broken apart by the guards. Frequent beggars can be seen strategically located; hoping to take advantage of the high-spirited mood that sometimes moves people to acts of generosity. In the Callestan District, things are not quite as loud. The buildings are much more ragged, and filth lines the streets. It is not at all like that of Upper Dura, nor even that of Middle Dura. Lower Dura reeks of misery and hardship not that anywhere in Dura is for the rich and noble. People pass by you, some look to have not bathed in quite some time. Eyes, some cruel, some simply empty watch you as you move along the broken streets. Some of the younger locals meet and hold your gaze as you pass them by and in those eyes you see the faintest glimmer of hope, but much more than that a spark of defiance from a soul not quite yet broken. Somehow, though, you are sure that spark will soon be put out by this dreary existence. Each street seems shoddier than the last. Temples to The Traveler, Olladra are kept in slightly better condition than the buildings around them. Slum buildings with signs depicting their services; lodging, food, trade, and various other services line the streets. Before posting, please take a moment to contemplate why you, if not from Sharn, have found yourself here and if from Sharn but not Dura, why you might happen to be here on this day. I’ve used the event of the Races of Eight Winds to help with that, should you so choose. I’m placing you in Lower Dura, Callestan in specific because your quest will be in Lower Dura and Callestan is an inn district. It’s up to you to decide what lead you to this place. For your convenience, here is a district map. I haven’t yet located one only of Dura, so you will find Dura on the western part of the map. ![]()
![]() I am looking for 2-4 more players for an Eberron module (Fallen Angel) that I will be starting in the next couple of days. I currently have two male characters lined up, and would like to see at least one female character in the mix. I have a druid and a fighter. I need an arcane and/or divine caster. Please be familiar with the Eberron setting, races, and rules before applying. Thank you! This will be with Pathfinder as the base rules. Roll stats, 4d6 drop the lowest, 7 times drop the lowest set. Roll for wealth based on class. Starting level 1. Note: I am new to DMing so I will require patience and may make a few mistakes :) |
