Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Sorry I missed that you had picked up both. I had caught one while you were still I'm the hall with an attempted grapple at the same time it fell asleep, so I assume I still have that one.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki picks up the Kobold he caught and begins moving out of the room.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Faagaki, hearing Koda, grabs for the nearest creature.

Yes I know I'll take an AOO.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

I might be wrong, but I thought you were running Koda?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

No, I'm not satisfied. Something is wrong with your story. I can always get the guard involved if you don't tell the truth.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

One easy way to deal with that is to just put it in a spoiler. Ex.

Faagaki stares down at the two creatures. E' saugali'i kora au heka'ani

Aquan:
A curse on thieves and scoundrels.

Then we shakes his head. What weren't you caught at?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Aquan, Celestial, Common

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki frowns. Wait, he says, It wasn't illegal because you weren't caught? What exactly were you doing?

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Faagaki stands and moves over to the creatures, He did not do anything untoward. He simply asked you to move out of the way of a door you don't belong in. Your response was unacceptable. And you need to apologize.Faagaki stands over them, hands on his side, tapping his foot.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Are you in some sort of trouble? Faagaki asks to the two strange creatures charging into the room.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

LolKnowledge Planes: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
I'll assume that gives me at least a basic knowledge of the Abyssal plane

Faagaki stares at Miya, his eyebrows furrowed. The Abyss is a place of chaos and evil. I will come along, but I may have to decide to prevent this job if it is discovered to serve the purposes of the Abyss.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki stands straighter at the mention of interplanar creatures. He thinks back through his studies to see if he's ever heard of those creatures in his study of the planes. Kn. Planes: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 Then he turns to the little dragon, Do you know which plane they are from? He asks. Assuming that I don't know. If I know, ignore that.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki stares around wildly. I thought you said it was a press gang, he says the words awkwardly, and before that a fight. Now you say you have no idea what's going on? Faagaki shakes his head then looks at the dragon creature, waiting to see if it knows.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Sorry, I didn't realize we had started back up. For some reason in my profile it didn't tell me there were new posts.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

No hurry. Enjoy your baby.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Just so everyone knows what's going on, DM is currently at the hospital and will soon have a baby. So we probably won't hear from him for a bit. But well get going again soonish.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki looks as bewildered as Heimdallr. I have no idea, but he gets up and begins to follow Miya, taking a lingering look at the unfinished plate of fish.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki stares around the now empty room, suddenly a little unsure of himself, and wondering where everyone went, and what's going on.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

What? I am not looking for a fight. Why are we looking to start a fight? We should just sit and think that through for a minute. Faagaki's protests go on, even after Miya has left the table. He frowns slightly as he stares after her. She can't be serious, he mutters to those around him, right? She's not serious?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki looks around at Tess' comment. Barley? I guess I've heard that before. He pauses, thoughtful for a moment. Tess? I am Faagaki, son of Rabana. I am pleased to meet you, Faagaki says, bowing. What is it you are doing there, if you don't mind me asking?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

That's too bad. I know how it goes though. I hope you'll be able to come back. I really enjoyed the strange friendship between Ghorum and Jim, and think that we were all gonna make a great group.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki laughs at Heimdallr's question. That is ale. As you can see, I don't drink it myself. I stick with good old water. Faagaki laughs again as he continues to explain how ale is made. Or at least how he thinks it's made. I never brewed the stuff myself, but I'm pretty sure it is made from a root. . . .

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Nah, DM says it's the other guys reflex

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki continues to look around the room, though not with any particular diligence. He listens to Miya's music, laughing occasionally. But mostly staying out of the merriment.

When the waitress comes around and asks them to move, he agrees readily, Though I don't need the drink. I'm good with my water, he punctuates that with a big drink from his mug.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki smiles. Too safe. Like I said. As for my home it was destroyed. We were raided by a large tribe of Gnolls. Now, as the Suka of my village, I have vowed to find a new home for those who survive.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki is updated to reflect the higher CR.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Wow. That sounds safe. Almost too safe for my people. I don't think they could get there. He looks down for a moment, eyes looking through the table. But when he looks back up he is friendly as ever. It sounds beautiful.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki has to think for a moment before he can understand what Heimdallr was saying. But after a moment he nods. It's not the Vales of Solstice, but I would definitely like to learn more about it.

Faagaki wrote:
do you have any fish or similar dishes? I will take a plate if you do. And if not, a plate of whatever you do have. Oh, and some water to drink.

When the wine comes, Faagaki simply asks about his meal and water that he had asked for.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

My own opinion us that at this point it's up to Heimdallr. If the dragoon-like recreation is acceptable to him as part of his character concept, then that's the easy fix. Rebuild one character instead of 4. If he feels it's essential as it is-and you're willing to let it stand-give us the two level adjustment. But in the end I'm good with whatever.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Flock? It might be the same. . . . Are there halflings or gnomes there? he asks hopefully. Regardless, if it is safe, I would like to see it. See if I can get my people a home there. Faagaki stops for a moment then he smmiles. I am Faagaki Heitoka, son of Rabana. There are not many that look like me. We are all children of the marids. As I said before, my family descends from Rabana specifically. The more he speaks of the marids, the larger Faagaki's smile grows.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Oops, missed the fact that Heimdallr left the room.
Faagaki listens to the music for some time while he waits for the Dragon-like creature or the human to return.

When the dragon-like creature returns, Faagaki asks him if he knows anything about the Vales of Solstice. I have heard there is safety there, but as of yet, I have not found one who knows a safe way to enter.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki smiles reassuringly. No, no. I will not say a word. Thank you for your help. While I have you here, do you have any fish or similar dishes? I will take a plate if you do. And if not, a plate of whatever you do have. Oh, and some water to drink. With a smile he places a gold piece in her hand. I hope this will cover it.

When the barmaid leaves Faagaki turns to Miya, his face slightly drawn now. I was from the Weiter Down Islands, but my home has been recently destroyed. That is why I am here now. Searching for a safe place for those of my people that remain. Faagaki pauses for a moment then looks hopefully at the dragoon-like creature. Do you know anything about the Vales of Solstice? I have heard there is safety there, but as of yet, I have not found one who knows a safe way to enter.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Just curious, what about my perception when I looked around before asking her?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Checks:
To Hear: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Looking: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27+10=37
Faagaki looks around to see what she might be talking about. Overseer? What? Then out loud he asks, Well, I am sure that it will go well. But, if I may ask, why especially tonight?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki walks into the tavern, his clothes still damp, just as the sun touches the horizon. He sits down at a table scanning the crowd. He starts at the dragon like creature sitting and talking to a human and a gnome. Faagaki gets up and walks over to the table. He smiles as he speaks, Hello, I am Faagaki, son of Rabana, may I sit with you and talk? He speaks to both the human and creature, but his eyes focus mostly on the strange creature.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

@DM, I was looking at the advanced race guide and realized that I had made Faagaki far too young for an undine (60 is adulthood). So I made a few background changes to reflect this. Nothing big, just ages and timetables.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki walks into Triumvirate. He raises his nose to the air and smiles as the sea's smell fills his nostrils. He continues making his way through town till he gets near the docks. Only then does he begin looking for an inn. By the smile on his face, you would think he didn't see the run down nature of the Hag's Spew as he walks inside. A room please, for a week.

After he gets settled into his room Faagaki walks back outside. He looks up at the sun still hanging high overhead. He then heads to the docks to see if there is a place nearby that he can swim until dusk, when the taverns will fill.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Faagaki would be going through any towns trying to find a safe place. He would go to question people there about it. Especially big towns would be better for finding info. So he went there for that reason.

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Well, Faagaki is currently traveling from town to town trying to hear any rumors of a safe place.

Question for DM is the Vale of Solstice info common knowledge? Would it be likely that Faagaki had heard of it?

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

Wow, didn't realize this was here already. I'm in my late 20'a and I also work as a residential counselor. I've been married for 2 and a half years. We have a 17 month old, and he is the best kid ever. I've only been gaming for about a year now, but I love it. I also do some writing and I love seeing where the characters go (both in my writing and in the games). I am majoring in mathematics, with a minor in Chinese--hoping to teach one day. I love language of all sorts, word plays, foreign languages, writing, etc., etc., etc. I have a bit of experience with pbp, and enjoy it a lot because of the way it tends to go towards more roleplay. And I am ready to get started!

Male Advanced Undine Cleric 2

I don't think he has control over that. I think it just lists whoever posts in"gameplay."

Nevermind, I don't have a copy of the template.

If it's unchanged from before, I believe I have the template. I could post up details to get it started, and you could edit them if I got anything wrong. If that's okay with you.

Okay, all done and ready for approval.

I was had a quick question for you (This is DM Ben)
One of the concepts I had of this guy, is that he does most of his fighting with chakram, because it's an ancestral weapon for his clan. I can take the feat if necessary, but I was hoping that I might be able to get proficiency in that for free. My reasoning:
1. Cleric's normally get proficiency in deities favored weapon.
2. Only one deity in this world, with no favorite weapon.
3. Part of Faagaki's background is a major respect of ancestry, almost to the point of worship.
4. Like I said above it's an ancestral weapon for his clan.

If this doesn't work for you, I'll gladly take the feat, cause this is a major part of how I've conceptualized Faagaki. Let me know either way.

Either way, should have him done soon. Still working on filling in the details of his background, but it's coming along well.
