GM, I'm using the Frighten effect of >Pernicious Poltergeist<. DC 27 Will Save to resist. It has the Fear, Emotion and Mental traits so we'll see how mindless this thing is.

Manny's busy mixing in his music and his commands.

"Teja? Bad time to eat salad. Also I don't think this has been washed in months. Come on, get out there."

He utters a ◆>Liberating Command< to help her Escape.

Teja can use her Reaction to Escape.

"Uh, Gabe. One target left, can you frighten it or something?"

Manny continues to ◆Sustain his magic. For a moment, you all see the Pernicious Poltergeist manifest infront of the vegetative beast. A gaunt human wearing armor that bears the Holysmith family crest. He sneers and makes a silent scream at the Green Plant before fading.

A telekinetic storm batters the plants with real and semi-real objects, dealing 4d8 ⇒ (8, 2, 4, 4) = 18 Force Damage.

Manny then shouts a ◆Courageous Anthem to help his teammates. "Chop 'em to pieces if you can!" and then he readies his bladed scarf to hit the first plant that moves into his 10 ft range.

"Sweet..." Manny is thankful. "How about you take a break and we'll get to the bottom of this, eh?" Manny gives them a wink. "Don't do drugs, kids. Even divine drugs."

"Let's see, what shards do we have? A Green one, A Red one. Did we get a third one?"

He also walks up to the floor with the multicolored tiles. "I see a door over there... Maybe we can leap over to the door and step on only the Red and Green ones. Might be an alternate plan if we can't jury rig the portals."

"I'm thinking about going to the door next to the floor here. Do you agree?" He turns to his team.

"Well, that's one less fight we'd have to deal with." Manny shrugs. "I'm fine with this deal. What about the rest of you?" He looks to his teammates.

"Huh. Oh hey!" Manny waves. "I saw you when... oh yeah! We were fighting over the right to fight that big blob. How's it going?"

Realizing they can see through his glamered armor, Manny decides to just say hello. Either they'll turn to violence or they'll talk it out. Manny hopes for the latter. "Who's the statue?"

Manny will attempt to use Glad Hand on the divine caster and diffuse the situation before it gets too violent.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29

If it Fails, Manny will attempt to chat longer with them to calm things down.

Huh, Today I Learned, it's a Skill Check with the Attack Trait, and not an Attack Roll. We'll see if this bites us later and she comes back with reinforcements...

"See ya..." Manny waves goodbye to the devil. "I guess she took the offer." He picks up the purple key.

"Well, it's a purple key. Probably fits in the purple portal. I say we go there next."

Oops! I didn't even realize my turn was up so soon. Sorry!

"Well, let's try that again."

Manny shouts again to give everyone a ◆>Courageous Anthem<, and then he attempts another ◆grapple.

Grapple vs Phistophilus's Fort Save: 1d20 + 17 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 17 + 1 = 28

Whether or not it worked, Manny prepares his blade.

The blade misses entirely, but Manny's still hopping about. "Come on, make a move. Any move! I dare ya!"

"Oooh! Oooh! I got a deal for you! Get the Hell out of here and we don't kill you. Accept?" Manny wiggles his eyebrows as his Courageous Anthem resonates through the room.

The devil looks surprised as her first attack misses. "So the contract literally tries to bind me... cool. A little too forward if you ask me, I'd ask for permission first, to be honest."

Manny finally realizes the surprise was a feint. "Luckily I'm too stupid to fall for those tricks!" It's not clear if Manny is being self-deprecating or he's being honest.

In that case, I'll suggest we start with the top most (12 o'clock) portal in the room and always take that one, unless we already used it, in which case we'll go clockwise to the next portal.

No need for the scroll. At least this time. So he ◇drops it. "Breath of Life scroll. All yours, Charlies. I gotta stop that devil from reading more magic scrolls." I added an orange rectangle to represent where my scroll is.

He ◆Strides over to the devil and wraps an arm around them, attempting to ◆Grapple.

"Uh...Nah, get out of here, I gotta inspire the team!" Manny decides not to Sustain his magic and the poltergeist disappears.

"Alright team, let's do this. Aim true!" His ◆>Courageous Anthem<rings through the room, helping his allies aim and hit a bit harder.

"As for you, lil' devil... maybe you bargained a little too much. Gotta know your leverage." Inspired by his anthem, he watches the devil's every move. "Come on, cast a spell, make a move!"

Good thing Manny pulled out the scroll of >Breath of Life< beforehand. "Alright, I'm gonna do something stupid soon. Charlies, you can take my scroll if I don't need it."

He sees the lightning bolt surge through. If Hirondelle falls he will react and use the scroll. Now let's see if that Infernal Healing will be a problem or not...

"Well, if they don't want to move..." Manny thinks for a minute. "Yo Gabe! Get over here!" Manny begins ◆◆casting >Pernicious Poltergeist< I've marked the area in yellow on the map.

"What is it now? Stop prattling- Infernal invaders?" A voice hisses from within Manny's mind.

"Yeah, can you slow them down?"

"With pleasure..." Semi-real debris falls upon the White-scaled Sarglagon as well as the Phistophilus, dealing 4d8 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 8) = 14 Force Damage. Basic Reflex Save DC 27

Manny ◆swaps the two-handed Bladed Scarf for his scroll of Breath of Life.

"No time for the bardic music, kinda busy!"

I'll try to heal you, hopefully I can get around Infernal Wounds.

I also took a breath of life scroll as my provisions.

Manny stops gazing his navel and realizes they're stuck behind this thing. "Come on, everyone! We got this!" He calls out a Courageous Anthem to help his teammates.

Then he tries to >Tumble Through< past the Blue-scaled Sarglagon.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33 I'm going to assume that worked. I drew an arrow on the map representing where I want to Tumble to.

"Hey Shylye, help me out with some protection here!" A collection of feathers appear in front of him, acting as a magical Shield.

"Eh, I tried Hellfire once. Not my style." Manny shrugs off the taunt before it gets very hot.

As Manny brags, he's not paying attention and the fireball explodes in his face.

"My bad, should have paid more attention." He shrugs. "Don't forget your silver blades!" He remembers the very quick intel report.

"Hmm...well, I've got an invisible angel hovering around here telling me to kick your ass if you not gonna let us leave." Manny looks to his teammates to see if they're down or they have another plan.

Deception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32

"Oh, we're sacrifices?" Manny pretends to be shocked. "I don't even know what's going on. What's happening? Please tell me o great one!"

May as well try to squeeze 'em for information.

Manny heads towards the stairs. "Ready when ya'll are." He pauses. "Does anyone want Heroism?"

"I think we should head in. I don't want to see what happened to those guys..." He points at the Chelaxians agents and heads through.

"Alright, inserting crystals now..."

"Whoops... I guess I misheard Shylye. My bad." Manny shrugs. Right, no one can see him shrug.

He snaps his fingers and his armor changes to look like the unconscious Chelaxian soldiers. "Anyone mind if I insert these crystals into the Green Dome?"

"Don disguises and look for crystals..."

I'm good for making only Perception checks.

Manny does have the >Rainment< rune on his armor- would he be able to make it look like the Chilexian armor? If not no big deal.

"Oh duh. Let's collect some of the crystals. Might be a key of some kind. Or at least something for Eras to collect." Manny goes to grab a few crystals.

Manny focused on Recall Knowledge on his first action. If he can take time to search...

"There are 2 ways to disable a trap..." Manny muses. "Looks like the Cheliaxians took the hard way."

Manny readies his dancing scarf. What are these domes?

Manny trusts Eras, so he'll drink and prepare to go.

"Hmm? Oh yeah. Let's see if Shylye knows more about devils."

"Undead? No problem." He tugs at the bladed scarf wrapped around his waist. "This is full of >Vitalizing< energy, undead hate it."

"And if it's ethereal, I put a >Ghost Touch< rune on my longsword. Holysmiths have always been ready to fight undeath."

"Wow... maybe she can see me from her home plane?" Manny absorbs every piece of information Charlies and Estes provide. It takes him a moment to realize someone else is in the room.

"'Sup Irond'el! Looking good. I'm Emmanuel but you can call me Manny. Ready to deal with devils?"

Manny pauses as Charlies enters the room. "Wow... that's an angel, right?" Manny spends some time, eventually extending his hand to both Charlies and his angel. "My name's Emmanuel Holysmith, but you can call me Manny. Shylye is around here somewhere. She's my guardian angel but I can't really see her unless I try to summon her for a few minutes. Wow, you're not even concentrating- the angel is just here." Manny is actually thinking about how is this even possible.

"Oh, 'sup Fin-thir. Sorry, I was, uh... thinking. Do you think angels can see each other, even if they turn invisible?"

"Maybe they're using the crystals to teleport on the ship?" Manny shrugs. "Pretty cool, except for the part where they might kill us."

He checks his longsword and his whip. "I'm ready when ya'll are."

Between Kaitlyn and I we should have enough Glyphs so everyone starts with 2 Hero Points.

Cheliax makes great wine. Manny figured he would be exploring abandoned ruins, maybe banish a ghost or two, maybe find a not-crazy Chelaxian musician to party all night long with.

Instead he's been fighting an invading force for way too long. His throat is going to be so sore tomorrow. Assuming he makes it to tomorrow.

"Sounds like they have us moored. Gotta break the chain somehow."

Shylye warned him it wouldn't be so easy to walk into the devil's maw. But life as a Holysmith is never easy. He plucks a scroll of Breath of Life, just in case they need it.

"An Azlanti ruin? Should we be on the lookout for any specific types of traps?"

Manny will hold onto a 5th rank scroll of Breath of Life. He has a Cleric Dedication so he should be able to cast it.

Oh, there's a second one? Eventually yes. Like I said, I'm crawling through scenario prep. Usually having a table that wants to run it soon gets me to finish it soon.

I am prepping 4-06, but I'm nowhere close to done. If the GM feels overtaxed I can run that with ya'll.

Everyone hears an otherworldly laugh as the poltergeist fades away.

"Well, we quelled the threat and played those stupid games. Let's get some proof to show it to the boss mass."

Relics of a fallen deity... Manny treats it with as much reverence as he can.

"Maybe I'll ask Alma on a date now that this is over. Convince her Asmodeus is a dead end. Or maybe teach that copy of me how to perform for real."

Zaaap. Well, Teja seems to be much quicker than he is. Or maybe she's not paying attention to the Gorum ooze thing. Pretty cool that the ooze has taken his form. Manny wonders if it has his mind and mannerisms now.

With a big guy, it's easy for Gabe to make a mess without ruining the flank. "Yo Gabe, I have a proto-God for you to take down!"

A >Pernicious Poltergeist< inhabits the earth directly underneath Gorum's Ooze.

"Yeah, but don't hurt my friends, alright?"

Manny groans, but Gabriel hurls real and quasi-real debris at the ooze, dealing Force: 5d8 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 1, 7) = 22 damage.

"Hey, uh, stay out of that blast radius, and keep the big guy in there." Manny calls out to his teammates. "Let's switch to offense!"
