◆Sustaining his Illusory Creature, Shylye prepares two more boxing glove arrows. "Manny, you're supposed to pay attention."

Shylye fails to take her own advice and fires wide. Manny grins at her and she sighs again. "Two points for hypocrisy."

Feels like everyone keeps missing. Manny switches to a ◆Courageous Anthem to give people some offense. Helsa's making a mess of things and they need to take her out quickly.

"Shylye, shoot her from the trees! With the boxing glove arrows!"

Manny's ◆sustained Illusory Creature flies to the top of the tree and sighs. "Fine..."

"These boxing glove tips are very heavy..." Shylye grunts as she readjusts her aim.

Manny ◆Strides a bit closer to the action.

Manny's just glad Shylye was able to hit some nonlethal damage. He breathes a sigh of relief and then wails another lute solo.

"Hey Shylye, can you get down here and help subdue her? She's tricky."

Manny's magic manifests as >Illusory Creature<, er angelic bald woman with feathered wings, holding a bow appears. "Of course, Manny. I'll use my blunt arrows to subdue her."

Manny's Illusory Creature "guardian angel" flies over head and takes a shot.

Manny maintains his Rallying Anthem to help protect everyone. Helsa swings hard.

"HEY! No sleeping on the job, Zabu! Save that for the afterparty!"

Manny ◆◆plays a Rank 4 >Soothe< spell to revive his feral friend.
Soothe: 5d10 + 20 ⇒ (9, 5, 4, 5, 1) + 20 = 44

Then it's time for another ◆Rallying Anthem.

"Bad Riftcarver! Bad! What would your dad say if he saw you doing this?"

Religion: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

Keep laughing, apparently.

Manny continues his Rallying Anthem to help defend the team.

"Come on, Riftcarver. You're better than this. Is this what your dad would want?"

Manny isn't getting through, so he continues his Rallying Anthem.

Manny sighs as the melee continues and his teammates move in for the kill.

"Riftcarver, really? You're wasting time with this?"

Religion: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Manny tries to recall a religious edict but it's no good.

Instead he calls upon a >Rallying Anthem< to protect his teammates.

+1 1 status bonus AC and Saves. Physical Resist 2.

"Falwynd, good to see you. We know Helsa is trying something very dangerous, stronger than herself. We need to bring her in-" Manny's instincts kick in and he quickly shoves Falwynd to safety as Helsa opens fire.

Manny ◆Strides forward to get close to Riftcrafter. "Hey! Shylye reminds me, you shouldn't be helping interlopers."

◆◆ Deception to Disable Riftcrafter: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27

He notices Gronk rush in. "Remember we want her alive."

Manny holds a >Horn of Blasting<. "Try not to kill her, alright? I'll let ya'll use some force, I'll bring the soundtrack."

"And Shylye will give me some more protection."

He casts >False Vitality< for 10 Temporary Hit points.

"Ya'll ever think of bug catching? I know this cave elf, she loves collecting insects deep underground. Maybe something to do once we're done saving the world..."

Manny remains chill. For all his effort, Bore-axx beat them all with some quick knowledge.

"Oh! Locusts! Sorry, I thought Shylye was telling me about something else."

Athletics: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (16) + 19 = 35

Manny leaps up high, scoops one and lands next to Bore-axx before sliding the locust into the jar. "That was fun."

"Thanks for the purchase. Sorry about the scare, I could play a private concert for you if you'd like- alright, that is one mean broom. I'll be leaving now..."

Manny hears the door click behind him. "Okay, the locking doors after I leave? That part I expected."

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

"...what are looking for, again?"

"Normally this is the correct reaction. But we're the good guys. Really."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22

"...really? Normally this works..."

"Emphasis on former, I assume!" Manny laughs when he hears the sign was replaced. "Well, we represent the Pathfinder Society. We're looking for a symbol of Deskari to enact a ritual to protect Absalom against them. Do you have one lying around that's for sale?"

"Huh, is everyone on holiday?" Manny whistles. "Maybe everyone's watching the ball game."

"Oh! I think I found a shop that's still open. Sammy's Silly Sacrilege?" Manny shrugs. "I guess you need a sense of humor to sell profane religious artifacts..."

"Thanks for your help!" Manny takes a look at the bracelet. "I hope this works."

"Ascendant Court is next on the list."

I think we take the L on this one, unless one of the good rollers was exceptionally low. Skill checks at high levels get pretty brutal unless you specialize.

btw, the GM had some real life stuff happen, so he needed a few days off from the forums to recover.

"That's Nigel, always busy..." Manny thinks to himself. "But if you think about it, the bracelets need to maintain power, be a focus and of course look incredible."

Performance: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (11) + 21 = 32

Using his Rainment runes, Manny changes his guise a few times to project a variety of different bracelets. "Maybe this? Or this? Possibly this. Oo, this one looks great..."

"Sup Dhrami." Manny has a quick bow. "Sorry I missed the carnival. You know how it is. Concert got everyone riled up, had to set up, had to practice, had to party, had to after party, had to after after party, then sleep I guess..."

"Anyway! We're on official Pathfinder Society duty. We need some ingredients to perform a ritual to help defend the town against attack. Do you have an artifact or some debris from Helsa's Gilded Carnival?"

"Uh... 3 hours?" Manny recalls the last barroom brawl he was stuck in.

"Thank you sir... I think that's it?" Manny turns to his teammates.

"Fairgrounds are next, right?"

Manny resists every temptation to sigh.

"Venture-Captain Jorsal, sir! I come bearing news, sir!" Manny acts formal, stands up straight and acts as a model soldier would. Anything to get this over with.

"Sup, Captain." Manny's introduction is too lax.

"Sup! How's it going?" Manny gives a young elf a high five. "Good job with the barricade. Reinforce that over here..."

"Protection spells? Shylye's better at it than I am, both of you are better than me." Manny waves at an orc researcher. "Thanks for helping the Lodge!"

"Need some help with those potions?" Manny grabs a bag full of them from an overburdened Sprite. "Where to?"

"By the way, do you know where Jorsal of Lauterbury is? Over there? In the ballroom? Cool. Thanks. Me and my teammates need to meet 'im. Say, when this is over, do you wanna jam for a while? Somewhere private?" Manny shoots his shot. He usually scores.

Returning to his teammates. "Jorsal's this way."

Manny takes a scroll of Breath of Life from the Pathfinder Provision storage, just in case.

Manny only has time to nod to Valais before he's interrupted.

He's read about Valais's history. He figures it's a bit personal for her. Hesla's been through a lot, but dealing directly with demons backfires every single time.

"So gather the ingredients, enact the ritual, salvage the ritual when something disrupts it, capture Hesla."

"May as well start with the Grand Lodge, since we're here already."

"Oh yeah, there was this big blob that absorbed some of Gorum. Me and a bunch of Pathfinders had to win a contest to get the right to chase it down and destroy it." Manny sighs. "Host was weird."

"We get to slay a demon? AWESOME!" Manny is certain a bunch of important stuff was said but even MORE important was the demon slaying stuff. "That's almost as cool as slaying vampires! Count me in!"

"...who's Helsa?" Manny looks dumbfounded as Kline resists the urge to facepalm. Instead Manny gets a dossier.

"It's like she almost figured it out, but... vengeance is a cruel mistress." He shakes his head.

Skillful Mentor (Envoy's Alliance)
While working with less experienced Pathfinder allies, you provide vital advice to sharpen your newer colleagues’ skills. For any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump and whose levels are lower than yours, you increase the Level Bump’s modifier to skill checks to 2.

I have 2 GM Glyphs. Lowest level PCs get dibs on it first. I know Zabu is level 9 and Bore-axx is asking for a mentor boost so I'll give it to them.

"Sometimes you gotta mix up time signatures to get people in the groove. They like a surprise now and then." Manny nods to Bore-axx. "One sec, I gotta say hi to the newcomers."

"John Manhunter, good to see you. I hope you don't hunt me down!" Manny gives the heartiest shake he can before grabbing a couple of pastries and returning to Bore-axx.

"It also makes a great party conversation. Everyone wants to know. Some REALLY want to know, if you catch my drift." He chuckles.

"Sup everyone. I'm Emmanuel Holysmith. Friends call me Manny." He goes to shake everyone's hand.

"Sup Gronk. I'll set 'em up, you knock 'em down! Maybe we'll do some weight lifting afterwards."

"Bore-axx, right?" Manny tries to reach for a shake but opts to wave instead when he notices the half-orc's discomfort. "Make sure you catch my good side in your notes." He grins.

"Sounds like Zarta and Ambrus wanted us here personally and ASAP. Something tells me I'm gonna miss out on another concert..." He sighs. "Shylye said I'd never get a day off..."

Looking at the levels, it seems like Gronk is level 12 and can help level 9 Zabu.

I assume the GM posted that to tell us this is high tier.

"Oh... Sup Zabu." Manny completes the handshake and wonders how Zabu controls his nails like that. Must take a lot of practice. Or Manny's just lucky. "I think we're just waiting for everyone else to catch up."

Zabu has had Manny's back too many times to count. Even when he's chasing Manny's fans after a concert there's always one heckler who can't wait to wipe Manny's smile off his face, only to meet Zabu's scowl.

It's been a begrudgingly beneficial partnership.

Manny keeps playing, plucking on the lyre's strings.

He has a worn longsword and a whip on his hip, ready for action at a moment's notice.

"Sup ya'll. I'm Emmanuel but you can call me Manny. He stops playing long enough to shake hands. "I'm trying to be on my best behavior- my guardian angel is around here somewhere and she got me good the last time I had an all-night concert."

Howdy everyone. I just hit level 10 so I have to update my character sheet.

Manny's here to annoy people with his whip, Athletics and Illusory Creature.

I have 2 GM Glyphs so I can give more Hero Points to the lowest level PCs.

While I'd love to finish it this game, we've stalled twice. I think we have to call it here.

I'd like to get a full chronicle.

Religion +13, Occultism/Society/Bardic Lore +11, +9 everything else. Manny has Clever Improviser

"I'm willing to Aid you on that, Teja. Hopefully that devil doesn't come back to offer us another contract we can't refuse."

Manny will cast >Heroism< on Teja when she volunteers.

GM, feel free to deny this if you consider this metagaming since I saw Teja's roll.

"How locked is it?" Manny wonders, although he has no real skill at picking locks. +12 Untrained Thievery. Anyone else wants to try this, or should we try a different room? I put myself at the room to look into next.

I'm at max Hero Points. Give it to Charlies.

"May as well go North, I guess."

"I smoked but I didn't... I mean, I'm good."

Manny climbs out of the pool and puts his equipment back on. "Alright, I'm soaked. Let's get to the purple portal and use this crystal on it."

Manny realizes there's a complication to getting that key.

Breathing isn't easy, either.

Manny has 7 rounds of breath.

Athletics: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31

Ooorrr....

Manny breaks free of the grab my flexing. Then he grabs the key and heads toward the surface.

Manny has 5 rounds of breath at the end of the round. Hopefully the water is shallow enough to surface.

Manny scoops up the purple portal key and then swims up to the surface. "Woo! I'm gonna need a loooong bath after that. I know a few bath houses in Chileax and a couple Andoran spas that will go a long way."

He puts his equipment back on. "Let's move on, shall we?"

Manny is about to use his light cantrip but Charlies has him covered. He winks and takes a leap.

"Hey, I did study the >Hymn of Healing<! Totally forgot about that since my last retraining session." He begins playing music for Teja. "Come on, stretch a little and those bruises will disappear!"

Heightened to level 4, so Teja gets Fast Healing 8. She should be OK in 3 rounds.

Manny jams for about 10 minutes to help Refocus.

"Alright. I can take a quick swim, see what's down there." Manny loosens some weight before hopping in.

GM, I'm using the Frighten effect of >Pernicious Poltergeist<. DC 27 Will Save to resist. It has the Fear, Emotion and Mental traits so we'll see how mindless this thing is.
