Noticed this had been bumped to inactive. I guess that's correct ...

(And I'm not sure if this will unbump it or not. I guess we'll see. If not, you probably won't even notice this post anyhow. And if you do - sorry for any false hope!)

Ahem. Anyhow! I just wanted to say thanks for the game guys. It have been fun. I'm a bit sad it doesn't look like we'll finish - but still it had been a fantastic journey :-)

I also wanted to send Radiance my best wishes. I hope the infection wasn't bad and that you are okay. And that it's just some priorities that shifted and nothing dangerous or anything!

Still though if you ever feel like picking this up or just want to say hi and put some lingering anxieties to rest I'd be delighted!

"Destroy them all?" Elise suggests hopefully. It probably wasn't a viable way right now - but it was what felt natural. "Or ... fly high above them? Most senses aren't too accurate at night and the owls are quiet."

That is Darkvision is usually 60' or 120' tops. Low-light is also just a multiplier on a short initial value. Blindsight/sense is even shorter.

Will probably work somewhat well until dawn. And until we need to land again, since we'll have to pass trough the layer of fliers.

Note that this relies on the fliers not filling the entire sky - if they do this isn't very useful. But I'm thinking they're probably somewhat low so they can at least keep a vague eye on the ground and navigate. (We can try and use the stars instead)

"I'd say we find some shelter quick and just observe them for a few minutes; if they are searching or patrolling that should be obvious. And if they are just moving somewhere that might give us an opening."

August and I'm not sure exactly what they're changing, except tons of little things here and there. By the sound of it character creation at least is going to be more like starfinder is now (race + class + 'theme') if I got that right.

Will be interesting to see how this turns out!

Hmm. It is sometimes quite hard to play in a low frequency pbp. You forget so much, not just of the overarching plot but also what happened just a moment ago, that each post takes even more time and the hype is harder to build.

On the other hand - this game still has plenty of mysteries to poke at. And I like it. Plus I'm not really going anywhere :-P

So. I'm okay with putting this game on a slow burn. Either there's time to pick up the pace later or we'll just get through it a lot slower. Or it simply fades away. But for the investment of occasionally making a post and double checking stuff I'm okay with it :-)

A plane-wide Mythic Dimensional Lock cast by a small circle of mages after the rest of us has evacuated might work. They would be able to leave, but no-one else after that.

Though that spell is a bit out of reach for us, even with ritual casting, and we'd need something with even more juice. But maybe worth a shot for someone to take a peek at : )

"If they are just milling about or if they are heading somewhere. And, if possible, who seems to be commanding them." She agreed with Spook's assessment. If the driving forces behind the undead menace could be destroyed or disrupted the grunts would be much easier to deal with. With a bit of luck maybe they'll even be trapped in this world as it died. "Hmm. Also do you know if anyone in this camp has researched the art of teleportation? Al and Nethan is up to something and there's some questions I'd love to ask."

Specifically another mission idea: look into a way to create some sort of teleport/planar travel blocker to slap on the forces of Tar-Baphon.

I mean it would be quite convenient if most of his troops stayed behind here instead of going where he hoped : )

"A summit? How ... convenient." Elise noted and glanced at neoAl. Then she quickly turned her attention back to Sarangreal. "What's her idea? Surely she must have some reason to gatherer the Eldred. Elise was just curious to see if the girl/woman was among the ones training for battle. It was a bit intriguing to see all the water mages drilling - but that probably wasn't too important in the grand scheme of things. So she just checked out the training area and then the bath, giving the woman a wave before heading back to the others. And now I'm not sure if she'd notice that.

They don't seem to be big fans of Zenikuta. Elise thought to herself. Or maybe they weren't comfortable with outsiders poking around her. A mix of both? They'll probably find out soon enough though! So for now she simply settled for backing up Al Gray with a nod. "Yeah, grim things are on the horizon."

"And I don't think we'll convince the eldred simply by snapping our fingers either..." Though she wasn't sure on that last point. They did have some powerful magic on their side after all ...

Once inside Elise diverts from the group for a little moment, looking to see if her friend/brief acquaintance were among the blue training.

I remember Elise saying hi to one of them. But I can't recall her name! Doh. Turns out Elise maybe isn't such a good brief acquaintance after all ... :P

Regardless - that ability isn't limited per day anyhow! As long as we have MP to burn ...

Recuperation (Ex):
At 3rd tier, you are restored to full hit points after 8 hours of rest so long as you aren’t dead. In addition, by expending one use of mythic power and resting for 1 hour, you regain a number of hit points equal to half your full hit points (up to a maximum of your full hit points) and regain the use of any class features that are limited to a certain number of uses per day (such as barbarian rage, bardic performance, spells per day, and so on). This rest is treated as 8 hours of sleep for such abilities. This rest doesn’t refresh uses of mythic power or any mythic abilities that are limited to a number of times per day.

"Hmm." Elise thought about their next moves. Knowing that the outpost was 'safe' for a little while longer helped a bit. They could use the staging ground - and having some more heads to bounce around ideas with could probably help. So it was a start. With a glance at Al and Nethan she nodded. "Yeah, we'll need a bit of time to prepare. I think" She wasn't sure exactly how either of the mages would accomplish their ideas, but she was sure it would take some thinking and or sitting in corners and humming spells. That's how it usually went anyhow!

Undead used to be immune to sneak attacks back in 3.5 but Paizo changed that in the big 'oh let's see if we can actually help the rogue do anything' update in the pathfinder beta/alpha IIRC.

No opinion on Nethans build at this moment : )

It would probably work, but she wasn't sure they wanted to pour more stuff onto them during their little existential crisis. Hmm. But it did make her think of something... "I wouldn't worry about it Atenzuki. The elders of my village used to tell how the first humans were made from ash and elm trees; yet no-one has ever tried to hold me responsible for casting inconvenient shade or tripping someone on my roots. So it doesn't seem the gods care what you were made of! *uh* Right Al?"

Nethan might actually be the one with the greatest insight into divine matters here but I'm not sure his fathers thoughts on things would improve the Atenzukian peoples peace of mind :P

@Mythic Vital Strike - a summary!

We are going to use a dude with 16 str, 6 bab and a flaming longsword +1 held in one hand for these examples. It's normal profile would be +10 to hit and 1d8+4+1d6 damage, where the last 1d6 is fire.

Normal Vital Strike doubles only the weapon dice. So our dude would do 2d8+4+1d6 damage.

Mythic Vital Strike doubles everything that is doubled by a crit - so str bonus, enchantment bonus, power attack ect. But not additional dice like Flaming or Sneak Attack (sadly!). (And since it isn't actually a crit you won't get bonus damage from the Burst properties either.) Our longsword dude would do 2d8+8+1d6 damage.

For Dreyyn, making a Mythic Vital Strike with the main end of his sword, he would gain:

) Doubled Str bonus (+4 damage*)
) Doubled Studied Target (+3 damage**)
) Doubled Enchantment bonus (+1 damage)

*or +6 damage if you can wield one end of a double weapon in two hands (and gain 1.5 of your str bonus instead!) All this assumes Dreyyin is at 18 str

**or +6 damage total if you use the Precision to improve the damage part of studied target.

Now things that Dreyyn can get that would make this more awesome are:

) Foe-Biting on his legendary weapon. (Literally) double the fun!
) Power Attack. For his BaB power attack would add either 4 or 6 damage, depending on handiness, that is doubled by Mythic Vital strike. Mythic Power Attack is also really nice - you can pay 1p to avoid the to hit penalty for a minute and it makes it do a bit more damage even!

Mythic Vital Strike is pretty cool for hitting like a ballista bolt.

And we get an extra normal feat too thanks to us advancing one step on the E6 track, like Nethan said.

Hmm. We didn't like flying stuff right? Otherwise I was thinking of grabbing Eldritch Flight for some fancy dragon wings!

Also! Don't forget that we get initiative equal to our mythic rank from mythic initiative (or what's it called)!
