Elise tries to find better cover, give the guards time to cool off and settle down. Hopefully Smith was having better luck.

Sneak: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Awareness: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Follow Smith until we split, make active listen checks every 10-15 feet, once near the building. See if we can work anything out.

Elise will follow Mac's plan, though she's not trained at stealth.
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 Capped at 15

"Um, okay. Let's move."

"I'm not saying I'm not with you, just checking we're sure of ourselves." Carter falls onto the defensive, aware she's the outsider here and doesn't have the rapport that Smith and Mac have.

Elise will let Smith reconnoitre first.

"Are we sure of the situation here, I don't know what Major's game is, but I'd rather not risk taking down allies or a neutral party?"

Elise is listening in, "Sewers, you guys take me to all the most glamorous places... Might be worth at least a walk through, you never know, we might luck out and they'll have drain that heads directly down there."

Sounds like, though if the other two want to go back, I will do babysitting duty. I doubt that they'll be actively searching for the hostages.

I thought the plan was to drop the women off first, but it depends if we think they'll be clearing out the compound quickly?

Elise works on patching up Smith first, then moving onto Mac before checking her own wounds
Smith: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Mac: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Carter: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

I don't think anyone took wounds so - if it's just Vitality you're down it should restore 6 each. If anyone is down Wounds it's D4+1 restored.

"Alright then, anyone got any wounds need stitching before the shooting starts again?"

Carter raises an eyebrow at the situation, but lets smith do the talking - they've known each other longer. She busies herself checking the health of the refugees, leaving her rifle in the car, but ready to grab, just in case...

Sure, I'm not entirely sure what happened at the end there, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to as yet.

"I saw it, why? Do you suspect something rotten?"

Elise looks around to see if any of the cars stopped nearby don't stand out (i.e. full of bullet holes), and will see if she can get it started while Smith deals with the soldier.

"I'm not Mac, but I'm a competent enough driver if you want to keep your hands free for your rifle.

Elise tries to push her assailant out of cover and into Smith's line of fire.
Effectively bull rush I think -opposed athletics(Str) check, though I'd like to actually push him back out of melee range, but I don't think that's an option.
Athletics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 actually untrained, so capped at 15

Elise takes another burst at the soldier Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 and takes a look inside the car she's hiding behind. Trying to make a guess as to whether it will still drive and if the keys are still in it.

Seems to be that we're fighting just for the sake of it, Elise is looking for a way out. I assume that the car is either parked or abandoned when the firing started? - is hot-wiring a car mechanics?

Elise sprays a couple of bursts at the soldier Burst: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Guessing this is a miss with cover.

Should have gone with my first instinct to cover fire.

"Could've waited Mac" Elise mutters quietly as she draws weapon and takes aim.

I assume Elise realises that the women and girl are in the van?

Elise hauls herself back to her feet, and ducks behind one of the stopped cars. catching her breath.

Vs Girls: GoGoGo: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 4 = 6 - Should that manage to succeed then just gaining lead.

Vs SoldiersGoGoGO: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 = 15 - Crisis first, any further successes on Lead.

Since the soldiers don't seem to be taking shots at the moment, Carter focusses more on trying to outrun them. keeping an eye for any obstacles to throw in the way.

I presume this is two entirely separate chases that just both include me?
Predator Action vs the girls: Go!Go!Go! Athletics: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 4 = 19
> Will just take Lead Advantages to catch them up.

Prey Action vs soldiers: Weave Athletics: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 = 15
> Will take a Defence first, additional advantages onto crisis (if applicable.

Just going to concentrate on running for now.

Elise glances as the woman leaves the building. "Why can't people just sit still for a moment.". With a last glance at the door she heads after them.

Elise hoped for quick dash outside to the van, but having no clue as to the situation outside Elise follows Smith's orders, readying her rifle again.

"Okay ladies, we need to move." Elise tries to reach for the girl, speaking as softly as she can.

Elise fires a burst at the soldier that fired at the woman, burst: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 dmg: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 2) = 12 dmg 2nd shot?: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 4) = 12
And then either ducks into cover, or fires again (I'm assuming rifle is still in-hand after picking it up!) if there's no cover she can get to.

2nd potential burst: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 dmg: 4d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1) = 7 dmg 2nd shot?: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 3) = 15

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
[b]"really need to study up on nonlethal takedowns..."[b/]
Elise pursues the woman and her daughter, at least they're heading down. hopefully they'll run into Smith and and Macomb before any hostile soldiers.
I think I dropped the rifle, if I can grab it on the way without slowing down I will do (or grab the soldiers rifle), but if not she'll just leave it there. Don't want to let them get too far ahead

"Okay, I'm really sorry about this but you need to go down now."

Knife: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Knife: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Sure, I'll switch out. Not like I'm rolling any threats.

"Should've stayed with the F#'*& Knife" Curses Elise as she continues to unload her firearm into the soldier

shot1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 1) + 1 = 11
shot2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 3) + 1 = 14

Fair enough

Elise fires again, as she takes a step forwards keeping herself to single shots, as a burst would likely draw more attention.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 2) + 1 = 11
Guessing that's a miss, but she'll hold her second shot if it does drop him
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 4) + 1 = 11
5ft step closer.

Elise figures that her firearm's probably going to be barely heard compared to what sounds like a battle outside.

Rifle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 2) + 1 = 8

If it doesn't drop him, she'll immediately crack off another round

Rifle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 dmg: 4d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 1) + 1 = 8

That's a potential error on the second shot btw, dice are being vindictive tonight

Well seems like the gunfight has started in ernest
Elise heads for the staircase, spares a glance upwards to try and ascertain if anyone's coming from that way, before heading downwards.

She'll try and keep the woman and her daughter following about 5 foot or so behind her, but without a common language she'll take what she can get.

"Right, stay behind me." Elise speaks slowly and beckons to the pair. She's not heard any commotion from the bodies outside the door, but she takes a peek anyway before heading back down the hallway.

Init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

I assume I hear the shot being currently stood a the window and all, we're 3rd floor right(I assume that's US not Brit version of 3rd floor)

Presuming soldiers are going to be distracted by shooting, and not watching the windows, does it appear reasonable to climb down from the window in any way? At the risk of stereotype, bedsheets and duct tape to climb down

Elise tucks her knife away raises her hands palms out in a hopefully calming gesture, she keeps talking, trying to focus more on the tone of her voice than the actual words. Trying to remember her advice and training for dealing with vulnerable patients.

Some Charisma Skill (untrained): 1d20 ⇒ 14

Also without actually reaching over and examining her, she will note the womans stance and breathing and try and assess her for injury.

Medicine: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20

Finally, unless the woman seems to be in immediate need of medical aid she'll take a look around for a window and take a peek, see if the situation outside has changed at all.

Elise closes the door most of the way, but leaves it open a crack, hopefully she'll be able to hear if soldier's boots start approaching.

She approaches the bedroom "ma'am, I'm here to help" Maybe someone who could actually speak russian would have been helpful here?

Elise puts her weapon away and opens the door slowly, "I am not here to hurt you, we've come to get you out of here."

Elise takes a second to take a breath, surprised she managed to kill them so cleanly with barely any noise. She then quietly taps on the door before trying to open it.

And with barely a breath between she keeps momentum and swings at the remaining soldier
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
If he doesn't go down will use 2nd action to try again.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Seriously? Has the RNG crashed?

"Sorry guys, never got down the art of a nonlethal takedown" she whispers apologetically.

Okay, let's keep it simple then. Elise draws her knife but keeps it hidden "excuse me do you know where I can find..."... and try and stab one of them...
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 AP1 + Bleed if relevant

Elise checks the corridor for any way to distract the men, without exposing herself.

What's the layout, can Elise see any way of getting to the door without guys noticing, or taking an undue amount of time?
Alternatively can I duck out of sight into the stairwell and get one of them to come to me, so I can knife/subdue him?

I don't know how long I've got, so Elise will quickly make for the steps and head straight up.

"A fight is going to draw attention real quick, but I aint really a break and entry specialist either. I presume since the soldiers are still here they haven't had a kill order yet."
Carter considers a moment.
"If you think you can talk it I'll try and gain access, don't know how much talking you'll get out of soldiers expected to kill civilians though."

"So Smith, do you have a plan? One of us looks suspicious while the other tries to gain entry?"

I assumed we were still in the back of the van?
sports: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Carter follows after Smith, though she lacks his experience in this field.

"Right, ready when you are."

"Sure, are we doing anything about the tail first?"

"I suppose that's as good as we can plan for until we get a better view of the situation"
