I am interested (for my non-english speaking players) too... If no one ever did, I assume we will have to do ourselves!

Actually I chose to start Age of Worms before the events of Rot8 (before Tenser is back, that is).

Hence very easy and useful to run this in the middle of the campaign.

Cheers

Finally, after a campaign spanned over more than 3 years in real time, the players are about to enter the Spire in Alhaster and confront the last minions (incl. Lashonna) before facing the Wormgod himself.

Problem: they have rather cleverly negotiated all the encounters in Alhaster and succeded in them all (+ a few I added from suggestions in these boards, like a Loris Raknian returned as a Death Knight!). The negative energy nexus under the cemetary is destroyed and the despair of the population successfully countered.

Now, after a thorough review of the abilities of Kyuss and those of the characters... I am affraid that as a Divine Rank 0 Deity he may be too weak against them.
True, they may be as many as 6 in front of him. But most importantly, the Paladin/Grey Guard (currently lvl 13/8, may be 14/8 when reaching the top of the spire) crowned with Zosiel's circlet (mind blank, weapon considered epic, Charisma +6 etc) is a terrible foe for a "diminished Kyuss". With the feats at hand (4-5 smites available), his lay on hands ability (with a Charisma bonus around 13), a permanent mind blank, probably invisible and hasted among other spells he will benefit from (some of them increase further his damage)... he can deliver several hundred points of damage in a first round of attacks (around 450-500 from my estimation) and touching ACs in the 50-60 range (far above the 39 Kyuss is claiming).

In 2 rounds he could zap Kyuss by himself.

Of course I can "forcecage" or "maze" him, but the others are not weak either.

I am toying with the idea of leaving Kyuss as he is described at full power, considering that... without all what they did, he would just be immune to their weak mortal powers.

What do you think DMs? I am very interested in your advice or first-hand experience here.

And I hope that Pett and Logue will do a chapter on "How to DM for kids: Plush Mountain Massacre done easy".

I strongly second this one: being a RPG old-timer (may be not the only one out there on the boards I suspect ;-)), my gamers regularly ask me for an initiation game for some of their 7-8 years old kids (my daughter is only 2+ - she will wait a little bit more for Mr. Logue's wonderful adventures).

Any recommendations (and why not a 3-4 pages scenario as a dowloadable bonus pdf ?) whould be greatly appretiated. I have read exchanges about this on the boards sometimes, but your input - O Paizo Mogols - would be most welcome!

Clear, thanks to you M. Reynolds :)

Hey fellow Paizonians, do you know what is the reason why a location/nation is treated in Pathfinder Chronicles or Pathfinder Companion (for instance Taldor in "Companion" line vs Guide to the River Kingdoms in "Chronicles") ? Size of the book ?

Slime,

Sun is shining and life is not too bad: my players should meet Dragotha in our Age of Worms campaign next Friday.

Stores still exist prominently in the 5th-6th (Jeux Descartes, Starplayer and l'Oeuf Cube), the others have disappeared in these districts. Other stores have appeared throughout town, but the Descartes of Pasteur station has disappeared (3 stations from me... too bad).

You are most welcome to write to me in French.

Tu peux m'écrire à ltastet@free.fr

A bientôt.

I mentionned it here.
Sorry you missed it.

Black Book is translating pretty fast the APs, but they don't go so fast with the rest (Chronicles for instance).

They still do not have released the Gazetteer in French. It is a must for my players who are not all at ease with English.

As far as I can see, Pathfinder in French is quite popular and appears prominently on RPG websites and specialized stores.

Should you need more info, just let me know.

Cheers from Paris.

Hey all, calm down or they will start believing it. I thought we all had agreed to keep this fact hidden from Paizo staff in our Paizo Shadow threads, you know. ;-)

Finished part 3 of Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larsson a few weeks ago. Solid, but not excellent as the 2 others though. Highly recommended trilogy.

Read it in French, not sure what will be the title in the US, but first and second are The girl with the dragon tattoo (published) and The girl who played with fire (in pre-order on amazon).

I then read Stormqueen from M.Z. Bradley's Darkover sery. Quite satisfying.

Currently finishing Delta Green: Dark Theaters and I enjoy it too.

Don't know for sure what will come next. May be back to my Lovecraft Anthology (incl. contributions from his first half of 20th century friends).

Setting-wise, does it work well in the FR and Eberron ? I mean, can it exploit the potential and specificities of the settings as well as Greyhawk's ?

The adaption guidelines given on Paizo website for Eberron seem to discard any Dragonmarked houses involvement, for instance. Have any of you adapted further than changing location and names ?

Many thanks for the feedback so far. Very rich and good food for thoughts!

I think I will hint at the sailing thing for character generation (may be even at the "wide scope of adventuring beyond the initial place"), use Stormwrack and push for Professional skills (giving bonus skill points may be, yes).

Several of you seem to have developed Sasserine... I did not want to expand or tie-in other adventures as I did in Age of Worms but... This has to be examined. Also I have always wanted to DM the Shrine of Tamoachan... Argh

Any other posts on your game welcome!

This has probably been addressed in another thread before, but I could not find it.

My players are entering the last tier of AoWAP, and at the moment I think I will run STAP as their next campaign.

What are the suggestions of those who Dmed or played through the path ?

What would you change, redo, emphasize, suggest... to players or DM alike ?

Werecorpse wrote:

wont the return of the 8 + expedition to greyhawk add about 6 levels that were unintended in the path?

how do you deal with this?

You are right, but I personnally always felt D&D 3/3.5 character levels went up too quickly.

From the start of my AoW AP (including RotE and EttRoGH) I decided I would grant directly levels to the players and not XP. This solved these issues. I slowed a little bit at the beginning of the AP, adapted encounters a little when necessary, and it worked more or less ok.

Even if the players overall appretiated the 2 tie-ins, I may change this later on, for the next AP (not slow down and not tie-in other adventures) as we do not play often enough for such a long story arc it has resulted in.

Currently, the players are still exploring Tilagos Island and about to attack a certain group of cultists they compete with to get a certain feather... They have completed the 3 other trials... Their levels range from 16 to 17.

One group that might have a propriatory interest in the Octychs also would be the Scarlet Brotherhood, who'd probably see them as the ne plus ultra of Sueloise artifacts -- they were only the last creations of the Suel Power Mages, after all :)

Yes, one of the possibilities listed above. One of the most interesting to me (I have never pitched them against the Brotherhood so far...)!

Hello Grodog,

As for the first part of your post above:

Spoiler:
Having tied-in with Return of the Eight and Expedition to the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk, the adventurers have met Jallarzy, Tenser and Mordenkainen a few times now, and the full Circle of 8 at least once. Also they had close encounters with Iggwilv (the real one, not only the fake), Iuz and Zuoken... One of them is an active Seeker and member of the Assassin's Guild of Greyhawk.

I don't know if I will drop the second Octych or not. May be so, and have them sell/transfer guadianship of the first to one of the Circle or Tenser. Then use it to start a new campaign with new adventurers (welcome to Maure Castle...).

Many VIP already appeared in this extended adventure path, not to mention those to come later in the adventure.

As for the suggestions for what is beyond the eight-pointed star:

Spoiler:
Many thanks for the ideas and recos. I will examine them. As they played through Return of the Eight, they have actually been to Luna where they defeated Tuerny and met Iggwilv.

Thanks for the infos about The Hall of Many Panes, I wondered if I should get it. May be I won't then.

Good adventuring on your side!

Saperlipopette! (French very polite/acceptable curse)

Spoiler:
I had completely forgotten about this second Octych in the Worms AP... My players are 2 modules ahead of it. I can expect them to be owners of 2 octychs shortly (well, provided they succeed in defeating some very old undead dragon...).

Mmmh after the AP, they will get the attention of so many more powers and factions (after Iggwilv, Iuz, the Circle of Eight, the thieves and Assassin's guilds of Greyhawk, the Seekers to name of few who could be harmful...)! If they manifest any interest in Maure Castle I think the Scarlet Brotherhood at least should attempt something before the end.

Thks for the suggestions above. I definitely need to design something now about the demi-planes... May be I can use the part about Kyuss in Elder Evils and design some epic additional adventure. Anyone knows if this could be relevant (I ordered it on Amazon a few days ago)? Or populate one of the demi-planes with another world (one of the Green Ronin or Necromancer Games campaigns perhaps). Are the Maure Castle levels of Dungeon easy to upscale for an epic party ?

Callum wrote:

I've put the answer to your question below, hidden by spoiler tags...

** spoiler omitted **

Many thanks for the tip. I do not have easy access to the source (original module or Dungeon zines) but I own it. I will have a look.

Any speculation about the destinations / encounters involved ?

Are you aware of hints given by a Greyhawk mogol (Kuntz, Mona...) ?

Spoiler:
Octychs are supposed to open the way to the retreats of the last Suel Mages of Power no ?

Anyway, thks again Callum.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hi all, my Age of Worms campaign involves a tie-in of Expedition to the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk (and Return of the Eight by the way). My players are finished with Castle GH now, and are currently exploring Tilagos Island.

The wizard in the group expressed some interest in Maure Castle as he wonders if the Octych (not sure I spell it correctly) discovered in the recesses of Castle GH might be used to open a portal down there. He wonders because:
- they found the name of one of the Maure in the log of one of Zagyg's libraries,
- and because the rogue of the band, a Seeker, discovered that one Eli Tomorast, another Seeker, has developed an interested in Maure Castle...

Do you know if there is a mention of this Octych in the different official levels of Maure Castle ?

Thks for the help.

In answer to the 2 previous posts.

Spoiler:

I had seen your idea of introducing Edwina in Zyrxog's abode. Very good!

I did not skip A gathering of Winds, which, if not furthering much the plot proved a very enjoyable adventure.

Slow shadow is in Dungeon #112 (a bunch of updated monsters at the end).

GH items at OerthJournal of course ! Very very useful compilation.

As for the Rot Grub, I did not have Dungeonscape at that time. I acquired it recently but a quick look did not impress me much. Interested in your tips to the best parts...

My players never followed the Shacktown track unfortunately (simulacrum of Vayne, with EttRoCG to follow...). But I agree with your comments.

Be careful with Tuerny though. I did not mention there were 5 of them to chase him. Which unalanced the fight a little.

Let me know about your band in next adventure. Mine suffered greatly in Kuluth-Mar...2 pc lost, almost 3.

Savage_Monkey: I do tell them when to level up. I always found D&D3/3.5 XP system too quick. That way I can manage leveling. This being said, they are sometimes ahead of schedule anyway. But it is not much trouble to upgrade a little bit the encounters if necessary (adding a few toughs rather than boosting the boss). I intend on having them finish clearly in Epic range. Kyuss and the players deserve it.
As for the sidetrecks: I don't regret, even if they slow down the AP, and sometimes make the players wonder what is the best/most urgent course of action (they are still exploring Castle GH, but heard about an Ebon Triad cell dismantled in Alhaster. They also learnt by Tenser that he thinks it was the destination of Buknard after his expedition to Kuluth-Mar...).

Good play!

Living in Paris, France. Mostly known for the amability of its "Cafés" and "Brasseries" employees and traffic jams (slightly ironic...).

But I originated in a small town in south west (close to the Spanish border on the map): Dax. This used to be the only European town enclosed by the walls of a Roman citadel (imagine: roman remparts). Until the town mayor decided to put 90% down to extend the city at the beginning of the previous century...:-(

Hello Armnaxis. Below some answers. I don't have access to the actual data used, but can complete later on if you need.

Spoiler:
My players started to be involved in Rot8 progressively, around lvl 11-12.
I kept the storyline intact, and had assumed from the start of AoW that the Circle had not reformed yet (that the events of Rot8 had not happened yet). We are all old-timers with not much time left for play (wives + children + work etc). In our student days, the only appearance of one member of the circle in a crowd was an event. And they never actually spoke to one. I wanted this campaign to rain down iconic on their heads (without this ruining the challenge though).

2 players first had the "Damsel in distress" episode, explored Jallarzi's tower (where they found Spawns of Kyuss :-)) and were later joined by the rest of the band when going to Magepoint. I kept Eligos dead though (not back from the dead in Magepoint as per AoW normal storyline. There was no point there).

I could update most of the monsters from existing 3.5 conversions (Official, Dungeon for Slow Shadows, Maure Castle issue, heads up from someone on this same forum), except a few, for instance:

- the Verme, which I planned to replace by a dragon turtle but did not have to use actually use it
- the Animated Statue (I found some similar monster in a monster manual)
- Rot Grub (version in Tome of Horrors)

Tenser's magic items have been updated by a Greyhawk fan. I think I found the link through Canonfire. Conversions seemed mostly satisfying to me. I can give you a link to the pdf if needed (compiled with all GH magic items updated so far. Very useful).

The storyline went quite as per module (they realized who was Tenser and Jallarzi, wished them back and so on...).

My Tuerny was a Nalfeshnee demon + 12 lvls of magic use. Retrospectively, it was not enough. 3-4 more levels would have been better, almost as per the original module. He entertained them for some time perched atop one of the ruined buildings (I made it a tower) placed around the plazza-gate on Luna. He was invisible (improved), and rained down spells on them. But when they actually made contact he did not last long enough for my taste.

I had Iggwilv appear as described, time stop everyone, tease the Paladin about her Fiend's Embrace cloack, and depart.

After that the Circle reformed and Tenser is an ally to them, but all these grey beards are busy chasing info all across the planes about the witch-queen wereabouts. Not much help to the PC's for the AoW... This explains also why the Witch keeps some distance from Castle GH, even if she knows about the simulacrum.

At the moment, Iuz is imprisoned under the Castle again, and they have almost made contact with Raknian (should happen tomorrow night actually).

Let me know if you want more info, and enjoy that part.

WAR! PC's starting their quest in war area as neutral agents, getting recruited by one side, and ending chased by both!

LOST! Unknown lands, artefacts, civilizations and creatures...

POLITICS and INTRIGUE! A campaign for spies, diplomats, assassins and courtisans. The King is dying... the succession plan is open...

DEFEND OUR NON-HUMAN WAY OF LIFE! Have the players be elves or orcs fighting against human encroachment.

LEGACY OF ELDERS! Each character has a reason to be there and then. Let them discover progressively the details of what their ancestors did (the horrible truth is in their blood...).

NEW RELIGION! They get involved in the ascension of a new divinity, and witness the establishment of its clergy (amid attacks from jealous and vindicative churches of all alignments).

For those interested in ties-in, mine with Expedition to the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk and Return of the Eight is going pretty well. I also added Fiend's embrace from Dungeon.
For those who know of the contents of both, here is how my version is going.

Spoiler:

The players had a great time "reviving" Tenser who could then take up his role in AoW. Also, as the witch has a part into this, I have her involved with the following twist: she has been aware of the creation of a simulacrum from the very moment it was done (you cannot triffle with witches'hair and get away with it unnoticed). From that moment on, she kept an eye on what was going on under Castle GH. She was kept busy by her involvemnent with Tuerny (cf Return of the Eight) and now is considering getting involved again into GH affairs...

Livashti is a double-agent, and in truth a spawn of the real witch-queen. While impersonating a Boccob's cleric, she sponsored a solo expedition of the groups's Paladin of Pelor to a lost compound in the swamps to the east of GH City to recover a lost artifact of the Witch-Queen for safe-keeping and avoiding it to fall into wrong hands (Fiend's embrace). He did very well. Hehe, at the end of Return of the Eight, the With-Queen appeared drapped in it... the look on the face of the Paladin's player!

Now the "Boccob's priest" is gone (with Riggby's corpse), and the player's are 60% done with Castle GH. Their major motivation to go there has been finding Loris Racknian, a big villain in their mind that divination magic revealed to them he had taken refuge in the ruins, and more recently they were commissionned by Mordy to find Robilar/Bilarro. So far, they have found no trace of them, but they stand at the point where they defeated Vayne, and witnessed the second imprisonment of the Old One (great moment). Vayne's post mortem interrogation revealed that Iuz's army (that they stopped under the War Tower) had travelled through the underdark guided by sinister men from [bold]Worm[/bold]keep castle in the Bandit Kingdoms, close the the Rift Canyon... Next foray will lead them to Racknian!

Deceased: Barbleu (Barbarian 6/Cleric of Kord 6) & Louaren (Mage 12)

Episode: Spire of Long Shadows

Cause of death: following quite a long string of rotten tactical decisions, they ended digested by the Overworm of the Sea of Worms

Circumstances: characters (6 of them, no less) decided to split at the edge of the long pit from the hall of columns of the Ziggurat (First mistake; actually 2 players decided to go to bed, and agreed that their characters would protect the rear...). 4 others came flying down, and discovered the Sea of Worms. They decided to land an an island of rock in the middle of it, and the Druid went back up and picked up the 2 previous ones, the Paladin and the Sorceress (second BIG mistake: split the group in 3...).
Then mayhem was followed by Hallali when the 2 Wormcallers quickly dispelled the only remaining flying character (followed by a few slashes of black energy), "suggested" to the monk that a bath in the sea of worms would be beneficial, and called the owerworm to finish the work (gulped the 2 others). The mage did not use quickly enough his greater teleport scroll (about the last mistake).
The monk was picked up by the others 2 minutes later agonizing (-8 hits and 0 INT) and survived. The druid was saved from the sea of worms (air walk dispelled) by the sorceress, and from the wormcallers by the Paladin (2 turn undead quite effective).

Surprinsingly, they crawled back up to lick their wounds...

Rest in peace Barbleu and Louaren.

Yes, I would be in too for that kind of juicy stuff. A Pathfinder/Ptolus module from Paizo + online Add-on for adaptation of the Spire setting in Golarion !

I personally own all Ptolus books from Malhavoc and part of the publications of third parties. An I enjoy it much.

Go for it people of Paizo and Monte (please) !

SPOILERS
I am currently running ETTROG in conjunction with Return of the Eight, just after the arena fights. ROTE is a nice way to introduce Tenser, whom I decided from the beginning of the AP was not back from the dead yet.
I clearly slowed down the XP progression.

All of this ties in quite well, even if at the moment, my players think they are diverging a little from the campaign story arc. Still, they know Loris Raknian (MAJOR ENEMY) is under the Ruins somewhere and want to reach him badly. I decided to keep Mordenkainen and Tenser in the loop. May be a little too many GH Mogols in the loop, but my players are old timers AD&D addicts. Too good for them.
Also ROTE and ETTROG can tie-in around Iggwilv, Vayne and Iuz with a little work, something they have not really discovered yet. They just discovered Tenser on Luna, and prepare to fight Tuerny... Should be memorable!

About the imprisoned demi-gods: the sage Iquander (Erik Mona) gave "his" list.

Merikka, Stern Alia, Wastri, Xilonen, Zuoken, Chitza-Atlan, Tlazoteotl, Rudd and Iuz.

Go to Canonfire for detailed comments.

Hi, I just received Pathfinder 8 + Demon Within + ...
The package was slightly damaged but has probably been torn. Result is minimal damage for the 2 adventures, but the Pathfinder book's spine is broken 1 inch from the lower end... Sad. I am a compulsive collector and like to look at my books in good shape and neatly arranged on my shelves. This one will not fit nicely in.

Any possiility to reinforce slightly the packs especially for oversea delivery ?

Thks in advance for your good work anyway.

Thks for the fluff ideas and the house rules.

I would like a Tilagos island that is tasting different than Skull Island, for which we have the Isle of Dread, but haven't found the angle yet. Will definitely use your non combat encounter ideas though.

Speechless.

Very sad. All my sympathy goes to his relatives and friends. We fan are really grateful, I hope they know about that.

Name of one of my favourite characters in Ad&d (the first edition) in the eighties. A druid, bent on cleaning oerth of these unnatural undead (or at least participating). He became a bane to liches... I played it until level 12 or 13 I think.

Thanks for the Dungeon 112 heads up! I have it but did not remember Slow Shadows were in it!

No official update for Rot8, but almost finished my own. It will be pretty straightforward:
- most of the monsters were updated in various 3/3.5 editions, I tracked them down with references. Some other I will replace or update myself (like the Slow Shadow, I did not find any update for that one, but it may exist somewhere in a Wizards book I do not own, or in third party products...).
- as for the NPCs, it is not too difficult to get a suitable Half/Orc barbarian, or 10th level mage from another 3rd edition source.

The rest (traps and so on) will be updated on the fly...

As soon as finished, I can post the result here if you're interested.

Same question, and same comments. Excellent work. I am interested in someone having done that kind of work in helping DM's handling meta-level play with organisations (not necessarily in "Affiliation format" though). My needs currently are around Greyhawk Thieves and Assasssins guilds, Pelor and Kord churches in the City and the old faith in Diamond Lake.

If I find the time, I'll try to draft one and propose it here.

Greyhawk lives.

Just started the tie-in with Castle Greyhawk. Will also tie-in with Return of the eight, as Tenser (Manzorian) is still dead in my campaign. Did run a solo The Devil's embrace for on of the players who had gotten raised 2 times already. He is a Paladin who thinks he's got the artefact for Boccob's church of Greyhawk, when he did for the agent of the "Castle Greyhawk Iggwilv" in town, posing as cleric of Boccob...

Bump! Anyone ?

I am not in a hurry, we are just in the middle of AGoW, just started a tie-in with Expedition to the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk, and finished a solo (The Devil's Embrace)for the Paladin (late in levels due to 2 raise dead... a tie-in to the tie-in, because of Iggwilv). Next steps will be RttRoCG and Return of the Eight, before we go to the Spire of Long Shadows (with may be a stop in the Bright Lands...).

I do not have all of them... yet, still collecting, and missing a handful (handful unfortunately including issues 2,3,4 and 6...not easy to find).

To Riley:

I just bought issue # 68 last saturday from a French store's website (I am in France). I'll check if they have another. Price is decent but shipping to the US might not be. I'll let you know.

Well you can translate "calcinée" by utterly burnt...

Agree on the comments. Titles are often poorly translated, and I read comments on Blck Book editions forum about the poor text of the Player's guide. Now, poor from translation or original... I leave this to players! ;-)

Okaral gave a hand to the dwarves twins during the fight, a thing the players realized quickly upon spying on him and Raknian. The day before the finals, at dawn, the group's rogue ethereal jaunted in Raknian's abode and coup-de-graced Okoral with fatal results... It was carefully planned and realised, and I let it succeed. Unfortunately Okoral happened to have killed Eligos that same night...
Raknian fled at the end of the last fight in the Arena. They will encounter him later on in the Ruins of Castle Greyhawk (that I just started to introduce on their way back to Diamond Lake.

Dear fellow french speaking gamers, Pathfinder is being translated into French.

Black-Book Editions (www.black-book-editions.fr), a French company, will start releasing Rise of the Runelords next week, with first episode "Les offrandes Calcinées" (Burnt Offerings). The player's guide is already available for free download.
My understanding is that they will also offer Gamemastery scenarii translations. I knew this was coming, and here it is at last!

Now I assume that if you are a native french speaker and reading this post you do not really need those translations yourself, but I know that most of my players do!

Pass on the message to your non-english-fluent friends. A new era begins!

What can I say...

WHOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Mm.. sorry, I just woke up the whole building floor.

Seems to have worked for me too. Thks a lot!

Hello, I am considering adding Gamemastery monthly subscription on top of Pathfinder's.

Can you tell me what would be the combined shipping cost to France considering my chosen option (USPS package service) ?

Thks in advance

I do not know if already posted somewhere else, but Vincent Dutrait posted an image of the items on his blog here:

http://www.vincentdutrait.com/blog/page/5/

I own the deck, they are truly awsome.

Also, he said in November in his blog that he was currently working on "Concept Guides" for Wizards, could not tell more about it, but was very excited... 4e should feature some of his works I assume.

Cheers

That's customer service!

Running the campaign in GH, all PCs based in Diamond Lake. Many players cannot make it to each session, so we have a pretty large group. Our players are more old school, and do not play much with exotic classes and races.

Currently finishing the Champion's Belt are:
Human Paladin of Pelor 6th (just raised...)
Dwarf Fighter 8th
Dwarf Fighter 4th/Sorcerer 3rd
Human Sorcerer 7th
Human Cleric of Kord 4th/Barbarian 4th
Human Rogue 8th
Human Wizard 8th
Human Monk 7th
Human Druid 7th

6 others dead. RIP.

Agree with you.

Combining the stuff I have in all versions of the game (not accounting for other games: MERP, CoC etc...), I could have my group play for a century all day long. I invested the value of a nice car into that (almost) during 15 years.
I have no more room for it (at least this is my wife's position).

I will probably look at 4th edition, get an insterest in any Greyhawkish production (meaning probably almost zilch), but that's all for the years to come.

I do not play enough to spend much more money on a new version. If Paizo goes to 4th, I will probably not follow either, unfortunately, despite the quality of the output, unless they continue to provide 3.5 OGL conversion guidelines.
