Durik looks troubled as he says this last, but he is sincere.

Durik stands straight as he enters the room and betrays no nervousness. As an inquisitor of the church of Desna, specializing in exorcisms, this man and his lackey are hardly the worst things he's seen.

Not sure what the Judge is looking for so I don't want to tip my hand too early. My intention is to tell him as little as possible about the actual events since I consider it a private matter of the church of Desna and I don't trust a man with a pet Hellknight.

Durik is relieved and renewed by the cleansing of the pool, and sets to work on ancient manuscripts, looking for any information on Thassilon and a lich.

Moving on from examining the statues, Durik keeps his eyes open for a trap.

Absolutely, didn't mean it negatively at all, just seemed like a very legit thing to say to the guy. The souls I was referring to in my thought bubble were the evil ones below, since unless they're possessed it's not normally Durik's bag.
