though, not too much sunshine. we don't want the heatwave to start early

Vigilant Seal

wow, someone must have gotten on the wrongside of the god of shipping. Hope nothing bad happens to the people due to the heatwave

I feel like they've been doing a great job recently on the updates. Also, I feel like any update they do give today (Friday) will likely come at the end of their day, before they're off for the weekend. If they still have more to do beyond today, and won't resume until Monday, I think it would make more sense to give the most up-to-date information. And that likely won't be for another 12 hours or so from the time of this post.

probably. lot of waiting time for international folk

Vigilant Seal

How Sandboxy is it? (still waiting for my order to be shipped)
Like Age of Ashees - Cult of Cinders jungle? or more like kingmaker?

I'd appreciate them continuing to work on shipping instead.

Yeah, we spent time to count and we've calculated that we've shipped 32% of this month's orders means... absolutely nothing.

you know they don't have to actually count them? (and it would mean they need two more weeks to ship the rest out)

They could simply take a quick look in the data and see x Shipped / x pending

i work in a warehouse that ships a lot each day and we can easily see how much has shipped each day and how much is pending in the data. And i assume Paizo is using a similar system

Vigilant Seal

would appreciate a update how much is shipped so far... separated by domestic and international for no reasons...

Oh man. I won't have an April/May order, but June... wow.

On the positive: I'm / We are (probably) going to get a full AP in a single month!

That is positive, right? Well, I'm looking forward to it.

My players are going to be able to take ancestries/feats/stuff from the Lost Omens: Mwangi Expanse book now.

I'll be tempted to hold off and let them take a Magus (or summoner I suppose) from Secrets of Magic too if they really wanted!

Paizo is indeed more transparent with their issue and they are overall most forthcoming with a lot of things.

Yet i'm relatively new to pathfinder, started with 2e and bought so far everything via pdf. So i have no attachments to b&m stores for this. And given the state of the world for the last year, increased online sales would be Paizos biggest income right now and going forward i guess. As it would saving them the cost for printing, shipping and storage.
So i can not agree that b&m are important for their future.

Being outside the US and not having any b&m store around for TTRPGs and similar stuff might color my view differently on this.

Perhaps another solution (and a contingency for the future) is to print a small portion of the products more local to avoid disruption from the main source. after all there are many things that could go wrong in the supply chain.

This way Paizo could satisfy Brick&Mortar, although with a lower volume, while being able to sell at least the PDFs to customers.

It wouldn't be a solution to all problems that could arise, but at least some.

The issue with that is larger orders are cheaper per item, so you’d effectively be raising the price Paizo pays for the order, as you have two smaller orders for the same volume of units. Paizo is presumably a profitable business, but I doubt they’re operating on extravagant margins.

For sure. Yet here we have a delay of two months now, missing two months of sales, which will cost Paizo either way money.

Another delay for the first part of fists of the ruby phoenix? oh come on!
I'm sorry but i'm really upset about this by now. I know that Paizo has its reason for when they ship what. But delay upon delay for a finished product (the pdf) just to keep brick&mortar stores happy is for a customer who buys directly from you a bad experience.

And for me who is a first time subscriber, who hoped to get the pdf version early (as i heared those who sub get them on occasion a few days earlier) it's disappointing as it not only affects me, but my whole playgroup who were so fired up to start with it.

vent over

I really hope Paizo learns from this and plans a contingency for their customers if something like this happens again in the future

bad news, had to cancel the next few weekends for my group. Was hoping to at least grab the PDF version today so we can start this weekend

i hope Paizo finds a way to get the PDF out ahead of time. would really appreciate it

Vigilant Seal

they are in my download now

thanks for the quick help!

Vigilant Seal

Hello there

i subbed to the Pathfinder Society Subscription in march and it seems my first batches got messed up.

I got last Wednesday a mail confirming the order but have nothing in my downloads yet. And it says a previous order was moved to a newer one, while canceling one item from it.

Would really appreciate the help

best regards

tl;dr: the "team builder" is all fluff, no crunch. Just so y'all can calibrate your expectations accordingly.

Well, obviously the Players Guide doesn't include rules to build team encounters, as this should be contained in a GM facing product like the AP itself.

The Team Building Tables are more to flavor your players party a given way
