Is arcane archer allowed? I forget which books we were using, but it's from Xanathars, if not I'm fine with just going something like champion :)

Second Wind "So I was half right about her! I'll take it. But why does she keep calling me a mouse? Is it meant to be belittling? Is it like that thing where you insult your enemies and their brains melt out their ears?" Dur questions Toki, looking for the bard's input. --- "So... Frog clerics and a new big bad?"

I lived under Demon Mountain, and served the great masters."[b] He draws his rapier, and closes his eyes, focusing on identifying the source of the voice around him. [b]"It's going to take a little bit more than a bit of cheese and a pretty voice to distract me."

Second Wind Dur whispers very quietly to Toki. "I'm going to see if I can go after the mage. I'm small, he didn't seem to notice me." Dur, who already was about the size of a frogfolk, and is used to being overlooked as nothing more than an overgrown rat attempts to skulk around the edges of the courtyard, hiding in the shadows, making his way towards the supernatural darkness.
I just got ninja'd by the DM!

Second Wind "The way we came here is not a real option for leaving. Too likely to get someone killed. And Toki can't really swim very well right now. The color of your kidneys is supposed to be a private matter, but I can tell you that his were puce. I don't reckon waterlogging him would be a good plan. How many more ogres are there, and can you convince the rest of your tribe of our intentions?"

Second Wind Dur likes Toki. He thinks the bard is funny. He runs over to make sure that he is not dead, and attempts to stabilize his friend. Stabilization (DC 10 medicine check): 1d20 ⇒ 20 Whew! No more death saves for Toki, although maybe that critical success would have been better planted in the ogre's brain! Oh well can't control the dice.

Second Wind "Have at you knave." Dur says halfheartedly as he fires off another arrow. He was disheartened by the last arrow he sent flying towards the ogre missing, and resolved to be less showy on his next shot. "No, that's not right for this situation... perish evil-doer? But we're the visitors in their land... Getting too complicated. Yahh!" Regular arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Second Wind Dur takes careful aim, popping out of his cranny to fire off a quick trickshot at the ogre, before ducking back in. Trickshot: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 Still, it seems that taking cover was impairing his aim, and he really didn't want to shoot Toki in the back! If it hits, here's some damage, but I doubt it

Second Wind No worries DM! It's kind of a really powerful ability, and if you want to take it out, I would have no problem with that! At level 5, Dur would have outgrown it's usefulness anyway, since making two attacks with advantage is better than making one attack that if it hits crits. It kind of evens out with my racial choice, because ratfolk get advantage when an ally is adjacent, but they can't use longbows properly. Also at 3rd I get some other nifty arrow tricks, like [url=http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/fighter:arcane-archer]line of arrow[./url] Up to you, and I won't feel cheated no matter what you go with!
