Arcane archer grants arcana proficiency, presti as a cantrip, and 2 uses of arcane shot per short rest, the two that I chose were...
--Grasping Arrow: Does an extra 2d6 damage, reduce speed by 10 ft, if they move without teleporting they take another 2d6 damage, can be removed with a strength save. Lasts 1 minute.
--Piercing Arrow: 30ft line, does arrow damage +1d6, make a dex save for half, goes through objects.

Is arcane archer allowed? I forget which books we were using, but it's from Xanathars, if not I'm fine with just going something like champion :)

Dur whispers very quietly to Toki. "I'm going to see if I can go after the mage. I'm small, he didn't seem to notice me." Dur, who already was about the size of a frogfolk, and is used to being overlooked as nothing more than an overgrown rat attempts to skulk around the edges of the courtyard, hiding in the shadows, making his way towards the supernatural darkness.

"Have at you knave." Dur says halfheartedly as he fires off another arrow. He was disheartened by the last arrow he sent flying towards the ogre missing, and resolved to be less showy on his next shot. "No, that's not right for this situation... perish evil-doer? But we're the visitors in their land... Getting too complicated. Yahh!"

No worries DM! It's kind of a really powerful ability, and if you want to take it out, I would have no problem with that! At level 5, Dur would have outgrown it's usefulness anyway, since making two attacks with advantage is better than making one attack that if it hits crits. It kind of evens out with my racial choice, because ratfolk get advantage when an ally is adjacent, but they can't use longbows properly. Also at 3rd I get some other nifty arrow tricks, like [url=http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/fighter:arcane-archer]line of arrow[./url] Up to you, and I won't feel cheated no matter what you go with!
