"Especially since you already let it know you intend to kill it anyway. Kinda lost your leverage there." Dumpy adds. can someone do a Knowledge check on quasits? "Can these things turn into birds?" He asks, out of the blue. He will also search it, in case its hiding something like a knife or the like.
N Dwarf Druid 4
"Gah, its not very big, but its trying to get loose!" Dumpy exclaims, as he continues trying to keep the thing held fast "Anyone got a bag, or a box something?" He grumbles. "Or something to try to tie it up with even?" "Got some rope on the side of my pack, someone... erk... someone grab it for me!" Would like to try tying it up, but need some rope, and my hands are busy... so hopefully someone can help out this round Maintain Pin: 1d20 + 4 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 5 + 1 = 26 Will try to tie it up if there's rope or the like, or will move it to a bag if we have that, or just sit on it elsewise.
N Dwarf Druid 4
OK, maintaining then, since the grapple was just the standard, and I've a whole new round to operate in... Maintain vs CMD+2, control, bless: 1d20 + 4 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 5 + 1 = 26 Dumpy's not sure what he's grabbed, but it seems quite eager to escape. He throws it towards the ground, and kind of sits on it, trying to keep it from wiggling free. Will attempt to pin whoever it is.
N Dwarf Druid 4
Hmm... I thought I'd posted an action... even moved my PC... but realized I hadn't. oops. Dumpy steps forward, ignoring the fight to his right, trying to hone in on the strange invisible person. He hears just a hint of a noise, and reaches out trying to snatch a hold of whoever it might be. 5' step, then attempt to grapple the invisible person! This will provoke. grapple, bless: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20, 50% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 55
N Dwarf Druid 4
Don't follow Kronis' lead... else you'll be just pummeling the dirt! =) Dumpy doesn't feel any particular need to add more bodies to beating on the Durkon character... but he is still a little concerned about the giggling. He tries to determine where the source might be again. Doing two perception checks, as move actions... if the first tells him something, he will not do the second. Perception1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
What happens next depends on if he figures something out and where it might be...
N Dwarf Druid 4
"No, someone else is." Dumpy mutters, at Galvanix's exclamation, but he doesn't bother correcting the man. Instead he reaches out, and tries to snatch the knife out of the air, before it can reach Durkon. Unsure where the knife is, in relation to me, or why its floating... but since I'm reasonable close, I imagine I can reach out and try to snag it. Dunno what sort of action this would be. For now, a CMB check... or use this roll for something else if appropriate
N Dwarf Druid 4
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Dumpy doesn't really notice the things happening, until Durkon breaks free of his bonds. "Umm... perhaps that fellow there might have further things to add?" he says, hesitantly. "If he isn't making a break for it." Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 Hiding a call for an init roll in a spoiler tag seems inefficient. GM should just roll those things for us!
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy only shakes his head. He thought he was bad at talking to people, but the rest are all insulting them whenever they can and expecting it to go well. He stays out of it all, mostly keeping an eye out on what's happenin around them. The strange giggling especially concerns him. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
N Dwarf Druid 4
OK, I am completely confused... when were we in a fight? Methinks the spoiler tags hid some pertinent information =) Dumpy looks around confused, at the shout of murder, wondering if his companions are under attack, as he runs around towards the front of the house (or wherever they shouts are coming from). But, instead of someone he knows, he sees a complete stranger tumble out the window, followed soon thereafter by Galvanix. He glances towards the sheriff, and the folks he brought with him, and says, "Hey, its not me."
N Dwarf Druid 4
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Dumpy continues circling the building, as most of the others go inside, catching glimpses of their light sources as they move about within. The intent being to do a complete circle of the house, unless something happens, or they see something of note... or we find a second way in =)
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy doesn't seem interested in traipsing out to the woods, instead staying near town. Though he starts to wonder about the strange bird he has seen a few times now, that seems out of place. He will spend the afternoon seeing if he can't find it, again. Will take 10 minutes to learn detect animals and plants in his empty spell slot...
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 will use the divination if he can't find it... or if he can, and to confirm it is what he thinks it is.
N Dwarf Druid 4
Don't look at me to help my own case... -3 charisma mod! =)
Who was it that fingered him in the first place? Is that person still nearby? Dumpy looks around nervously, as the people hem him in, trying to find the person that accused him in the first place. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 He had no skill at talking down people (whether they were part of a hostile mob or not), having spent most of his life underground, by himself. "Stay back!" He growls angrily at the people hemming him in. "I already told you, I didn't kill no one. Was in Tent City all night, and only just walked over here. Just now!" "The club when missing last night," He adds, defensively. "Didn't think nothing of it, as it had no value, sentimental or otherwise, and was easily replacable." An attempt to aid whatever social skill gets used by those more skilled Aid on any Social skill: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (15) - 3 = 12
N Dwarf Druid 4
The only stretch is that the two clubs matched. That doesn't seem like me at all! Dumpy seems to take it all in stride, as he glances towards the weapon in question. "Oh... that's where that went." He says, absently. "Woah... woah..." He adds with a frown, as he realizes people are closing in on him. "Not so close!" His natural aversion to crowds starts to kick in, as he presses his back into the nearby building. "I didn't club no one." He adds, lamely.
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy notices one of his cudgels is missing, though doesn't think too much of it. I would be easy enough to replace. Hey, clubs are free! He starts out intending to hang around the fairgrounds... though eventually gravitates to the beer garden cause... well... beer. Though he makes sure to grump about its quality. Though when he starts to extol the virtues of a special dwarf brew made from darklands fungus... he doesn't quite foster the interest he was expecting. Knowledge (dungeoneering): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 (shrug, seemed like it might work =) He doesn't notice the commotion back in town, more interested in drinking with the folks at the beer garden! Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Unsure if I'd notice the commotion back in town, since he'll be spending all his time in Tent City... but figured I'd try anyway... no dice =)
N Dwarf Druid 4
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 Dumpy isn't particularly interested in the various games and competitions. He has a hard time interacting with people, especially in larger number. Though on one side of the field, there is a place set up where the locals are shooting targets, still and moving, with slings. He watches for a while, and eventually the numbers ebb slightly, and he sees about joining in. Throwing a rock, at least, he was familiar enough with. Slinging stones!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 He didn't fare too poorly... though he is surprised how good some of the locals are.
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy thinks visiting a farm a far better thing to do than hanging around a town full of people... so lumbers along with those heading out that way. He stays back once they get there though, figuring an entire armed party of folks is more likely to look threatening than not. Pretty sure even trying to assist on a 5 isn't going to help What crops do these people farm anyway?
N Dwarf Druid 4
The dwarf has lots to say about the state of Dawnton's beer, some of them are made from the local crops, which he states is an afront to beers everywhere! "Who makes beer with a turnip!?" He can't quite get his, admittedly not the brightest, head around such a thing. Of course, his prickly attitude soon draws the attention of locals, and before he knows what he's gotten himself into, a bit of a drinking competition has started! Fort: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 3 = 14 Hmm... what sort of crops do they grow here anyway? Can you make beer from a turnip?
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy does not like the outdoors, so the Tent City doesn't appeal very well. Then again, he doesn't like crowds either, and given how crowded the inn appears to be, especially if there are only two rooms available, he suspects that would be even worse. In the end, he decides to find a free tent to hole up in... preferably by himself. In the morning, since he's already there, he will investigate the Tent City, and the accompanying beer garden... not that humans knew much about beer.
N Dwarf Druid 4
Dumpy shrugs slightly. "Sounds like this Ekira person was acting on facts too." He interjects. "They are what you make of them, after all." "But, more to the point, what's this about a second victim? I thought there was just one?" The dwarf looks a little confused. "So if the first one was out front of the store across the street.... where'd they find the first one? And are those three on the hook for both? Or just one?" Are we supposed to be saying what we're doing for the morning phase? Or are we not there yet?
