I'm sorry to see you go, Larry. Gaming to me has always been the ultimate neutral territory because when we pick up our dice to play, we're gamers first while everything that makes us different vanishes for that gaming session as does the worldly issues we can escape from while in it.
I hate that you feel that this is no longer the case with Pathfinder, but I understand that you need to do what you feel is best for you. I wish you nothing but the best and I will pray that this isn't a last goodbye from me to you.
Godspeed, Larry, and God Bless.

Dragas just wants the chainmail armor that Giggles had, one vermin repellent, and an equal share of coinage present or what comes from selling stuff later.
For OOC purposes, I'm not removing Dragas from the group. From his perspective, Lamm got the justice he had coming and all he has to do in his mind is buy back the ring that he'd given his love that Lamm pawned off after he killed her and then he's got nothing really holding him to the city.
While that's the plan, I have confidence in my fellow players and the GM that they can find ways to get the 6'6" Shoanti's focus on whatever might be coming next and that I will roll with it from a role-play perspective.

The barbarian gives a snort of derision at the news of chaos in the city as he makes another warding gesture as Zellana's spirit disappears. "Isn't that why they have a city watch?"
As the group canvasses the fishery and begins to pick items from the spoils of their excursion, Dragas keeps silent as the others pick from among the items. "If no one objects, I would like that," he says, pointing to the suit of chainmail armor, "and one of those," he adds, looking in the direction of the vermin repellent, thinking about how he could have used it when fighting the spiders on the ship. "And enough coin to buy something back that was lost," he says with noticeable reluctance.
"I'll stay with anyone who's going to wait for the remainder of the cubs to return here. Then I buy back what is mine and I leave this city."

With several of the group seeing to the welfare of the children that were found in the fishery, Dragas stays with those who are searching through Lamm's boudoir. With the exception of the weaponry, most of the items do nothing to hold the Shoanti's attention, but even then, he's distrustful of the shuriken's exoticness and sees the dagger as more of a blade that might be used for a ceremonial rite than as an actual weapon. The arrowhead could be valuable, but the Shoanti had no wooden shaft to attach it to, nor did he have a bow to shoot it with.
Keeping watch over the searchers, Dragas remains silent until the hatbox is opened. "What kind of sorcery is THIS!?" he exclaims, making a clan sign of warding against evil spirits and magic with his left hand.

As Dragas holds his blade high overhead, he hears snatches of spoken words around him that seem to run together in his mind. His face clouds in anger as he remembers the reasons for his being within the confines of a civilization that seems odd at best and alien at worst.
A part of the anger that courses through him is directed at himself and the mistakes he'd made that put him in this position. In hindsight, had he left well enough alone, the only person outside of family who'd won his love and his trust might still be alive. As long as he lived, the knowledge that his love had brought about the unnecessary end of a woman's life would forever haunt his memories.
There was nothing he could do about that.
All that was left was to ensure that his beloved's murderer would pay for his crime against her and any other person he'd killed, physically abused, or criminally wronged.
With his eyes welling up in rage, Dragas whispers something and then brings the blade of his greatsword down across Gaedren Lamm's neck with all the force he can put behind it.

I'll be honest. I don't think we're floundering. From a role-playing standpoint, I feel like the mix of things to do among the group is a very real situation for this group and is the first real test for them cohesively and possibly morally.
When you bring six strangers together who's only common thread is the man who's had a negative impact on all their lives, what happens when you neutralize that threat? There's no glue in the way of a common goal left that's holding them together. Everyone's going to have an individualistic agenda for how to proceed. You will have one or two who are like-minded in what they should do, but each person will have a different thought process in proceeding.
I'll put all my cards on the table as a player. Dragas is going to kill Lamm unless someone intervenes physically or verbally, questions or no questions asked. It's not about finding something that this guy stole from someone else. Liberating the kids is noble, but it's very secondary to him. It's the chance to be an avenging force for the trauma this man caused him and how the chance to possibly to reconcile with the person taken from him or at the very least to have a semi-civil mending of fences will never happen thanks to him. All my character wants at this point is his pound of flesh first and then maybe from a monetary standpoint is enough spoil to buy back the item that Lamm stole from the one he cared about and hawked to the pawn shop and when he gets it, there's nothing that's holding him back from leaving the city.
This is where my head is at as a player. I welcome more discussion if it helps things go more smoother and I'd like to see where everyone else is from a role-play perspective because it's a golden opportunity to do so.

After a little less than half a minute, Dragas feels like he's gotten his wind back, but when he stands up, his gear and weapons feel heavier than usual. With beads of perspiration on his forehead and an overall sense of weariness in his entire frame, the tall Shoanti manages to join the others in the underpier, ducking his lanky frame through the small opening.
As the others are searching the area, the first thing that catches Dragas' attention are the seven jars on the table.

Even the task of retrieving and stowing his weapons seems like a Herculean effort for Dragas. The barbarian sits down on the dusty deck of the ship, sapped of strength and sucking wind. Hearing the fighting within, he wants nothing more than to give Lamm his own personal due but realizes that in his condition, he is more of a liability than an asset. He also realizes that trying to rush back along the decrepit dock would not only endanger himself, but Korinne and Kradel as well.
All he can do is hope that those who were also wronged by Lamm can bring him down because he is in no position to help.

I'm only in three PbP games, all of which are long term campaigns, including this one, so I'm not planning on dropping out of this one as long as you want to keep running it.
With that said, I'm a casual poster and I usually don't try to overpad on posts, especially during combat encounters. I've gotten a good feel for your posting style after playing in your Gallows of Madness game and it was something I had to adjust to in terms of checking the gameplay more than usual, but I adjusted and adapted.
Ultimately, it's your call. I want to keep playing and I'll play until we finish Book 6 of the AP or until no one wants to play/run anymore, whichever comes first.

In anger, it's almost as if there is nothing left in the world but Dragas and the two drain spiders. With being so tunnel focused, he is more than aware of the spider that shot the webbing clamoring up from the hold to attack him and swings his morningstar just as it reaches the top of the steps.

While he initially thinks nothing, he glances down and notices where the skin is immediately inflamed around one bite wound and he doesn't feel himself. Then, the webbing covers him, impeding him from trying to put the vermin in a disadvantageous position.
Enraged at being bitten and out of patience with the spiders, the barbarian emits a fierce roar as his anger consumes him. He drops his javelin, draws his morningstar and begins to swing wildly at the pair of pests on his legs, trying to squash them into oblivion.

"We need light. I have light," Dragas says to Kradel, his tone not concealing his drive to push forward. The tall man reaches into his backpack and removes a slender piece of iron approximately twelve inches in length. Giving the piece of iron a light rap against the floor, Dragas emits a grunt of satisfaction as the piece of iron begins to glow and illuminate the cabin.
"Stand behind me," Dragas instructs, seeing to protect his dwarven comrade. Stepping to the top of the stairs, Dragas gives the glowing sunrod an underhanded toss down the stairs and into the hold. Dragas holds his greatsword high above his head, waiting for the spider to scuttle through the door so he can deliver a deadly stroke to it. After the span of eight heartbeats, the barbarian's patience quickly evaporates at the lack of a target. With a scowl on his face, he drops his greatsword and draws a javelin from the quiver on his back.
He steps back to where he can see into the cabin interior through the door frame. Knowing the spider is a smaller target than the sour-faced man, he draws back his arm and launches the javelin while invoking a silent prayer to the spirits of his ancestors to guide his aim.

"Thanks," the barbarian replies to Viggo's comment. Not wanting Lamm to escape, Dragas moves past Kradel and into the room the sour-faced man came from.
Expecting a big room and also expecting it to be occupied by an ill-tempered mongrel, Dragas is surprised to find that the room is a small one and that there is no dog within its confines, but a look of confusion crosses his face to hear the dog suddenly start to whimper. He spies another door on the other side of the room and moves toward it, opening it when he reaches it.

As Dragas anticipates where Giggles is going swing his flail, he prepares to avoid the movement as best he can on the slick floor. As the barbarian tenses up, he feels a rush of air go past the side of his head and suddenly he sees an arrow sticking out of the half orc's eye.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Dragas is about to speak when he hears a door open. He looks over his right shoulder to see another man looking into the room on the catwalk above and behind him. His warrior instincts taking over, he drops his greatsword, dimly aware of it clunking on the wooden planks of the slick fishery floor as he begins to spin toward the direction of the newest arrival. As he spins, he frees a javelin with his right hand, pulling it off his back and over his right shoulderas he faces the man with the wand. Before said wand can be used against the group, Dragas draws back with his right arm and hurls the javelin with all his strength.

Dragas wastes no time on words. His bloodied sword swings downward in an vicious arc toward Giggles.

"Stay behind me," Dragas says to the dwarven child as he moves to interpose himself between Sophie and Giggles.
Dragas will move to the square below Giggles. He won't have to make a check since he's not moving more than half speed for the difficult terrain, but he will take an AoO from Giggles for provoking to move to protect Sophie.

Dragas hears the exchange between Kradel and the other voice in the room in front of him. He moves through the door and starts down the stairs. He quickly takes in the room and its surroundings and sees a half-orc looking up at Kradel as well as several children.
In the moment, it seems that instinct takes over for the barbarian before his mind has a chance to caution against recklessness. He blows past Kradel, but before he descends the last five feet of stairs, he springs into the air to leap over the railing.
Athletics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Though he's not able to get a running start, Dragas leaps up, tucking his legs under him. As he clears the railing, he draws his greatsword mid-flight and hits the floor moving in front of the left side of the vat next to the stairs and quickly closes to the half-orc before his foe can do anything to endanger the children.
"Why are we here? Vengence," he says, his gaze boring a figurative hole right through his foe.
Dragas moves 40 feet. Part of that move was to jump diagonal from the second square of stairs from the bottom in a diagonal direction to the square in front of the vat next to the stairs. With a speed of 40ft, he gets a +4 bonus on the Athletics check, but the DC to long jump 5ft. was doubled to 10 since Dragas had to move through Kradel's square and couldn't get a 10 ft. running start.

Dragas nods at Korinne. "There is safety in numbers," he concurs before turning back to Kradel. "If you're going through that door, let me go first. You have a little one to live for."

Dragas moves over to face Kradal. "If she's here, we will find her. Lamm's going to pay for this," he says, the man's name creating a foul taste in his own mouth.
The barbarian sheathes his greatsword without bothering to wipe the blood off of it. Let my enemies see that I'm not afraid to shed blood in order to deliver the punishment that they are due.
"We should make sure any other children who might be here are out of danger," he says. He looks over at the bin of fish where the gnome's body has been stashed. "If that little man lacked the conscience to be able to murder a child, then Lamm or anyone else won't hesitate to do the same to save their hides."

This bastard murdered a child?
The kid's words hit Dragas like a sucker punch to the gut. An dark scowl clouded over the young man's features, making him a little fearsome to behold. On the inside, Dragas was fighting hard to keep his temper in check. Still, this man had killed a kid and to Dragas, that put the gnome on the evolutionary scale just ahead of a rat with syphilis.
Without a word, a harmonic SCHLING! is heard as a greatsword is drawn from its sheath. The sight of the tall man holding the gigantic weapon does nothing to make him appear less formidable.
Or less angry.
With a quick stride, Dragas moves to the gnome and thrusts the sword forward in a fluid motion, attempting to turn Hook into a deserved gnome-ka-bob.
Dragas moves to Hook and attacks with his greatsword.

Dragas moves to join his compatriots. Peeking in through the doors, he sees Hookshanks and the children, but as of yet he hasn't witnessed any hostilities.
Not wanting to frighten the kids, he keeps his weapons where they are for the moment. "Viggo, who's your friend?" he says, pointing at Hookshanks. "Hi, kids," he says, trying his best to put the children in the room at ease, but feeling uneasy himself.
I fight. But not kids. And all this talking.....at least Viggo and others can speak while I stand here with my thumb stuck up my butt. Embarrassing.
Dragas moves and will take a standard action to give the room and its occupants a cursory glance.

"Knocking on the door isn't a good idea," Dragas says. "If Lamm knows we're here, he'll know why. And I wouldn't put it past him to try to sneak away like a grass snake in the weeds."
Dragas looks around. From his vantage point, he eyes the loading dock area and the the stairs that go down to the single door below.

As others file in behind him, Dragas is taken aback though he tries not to show it. In a place like Korvosa with lots of people packed in together, to adjust from a limited number of people in his tribe in the wilderness to civilization and its mass of humanity has been nothing short of a culture shock.
And said adjustment hasn't been without the help of stout drink and getting hammered.
At first, this many people in a single room has the Shoanti's tension running high. But as the others tell their stories of their experiences with Gaedren Lamm, he begins to relax but their tales only serve to fan his hatred of the man all the more.
"You seem to know a lot about cards," he says to the woman who introduced herself as Sora. "Can you tell me what mine means?" he says. The card depicts a background of flames and a group of men in the foreground who appear to be angry, one of them carrying a pitchfork and another carrying a flaming torch.
When Zellina appears and introduces herself, the only indication of emotion is a pair of raised eyebrows as the woman tells the tale of Gaedran and her son's murder. She sent the message? Could have heard about me asking around, but the fact that she's been watching me? Not sure if I like that.
When she makes her request, Dragas nods emphatically. For the first time since losing Ketza and being cast out from his tribe, he felt like he had a purpose. "If by 'pay up', you mean kill him? Yes! I'll help you!" he exclaims as fire dances in his pale blue eyes.
As she talks further, he frowns at her words, brow furrowed. Hero? Not hardly. The sooner Gaedran pays for murdering Ketza, the sooner I get the ring back that I gave her. The sooner I get the ring back for my family, the sooner I can leave this city and return to them.

Dragas arrives post-haste and doesn't even bother to knock. The door bell jingles a little bit louder than usual as the door opens with a strong flourish. The barbarian bursts into the room, looking around as if he is searching for someone.
His eyes fall on two female humans and a halfling who are present within the room. The one thing that doesn't escape him is that one of the females and the halfling look to be well armored and carry weapons. The other female doesn't appear to be as militant, but seeing all of them causes him to be alert and on his guard. One hand goes to the hilt of the greatsword strapped to his side, but he doesn't draw his trusty blade of steel.
Could this be a trap that Gadrean has set for me? I've not been exactly subtle in asking around Korvosa to try and find him.
"Who are you?" he asks tersely. "Were you the one who sent me this?" he says, as he fishes with his other hand into an empty belt pouch save for The Uprising card he found under his tankard. He holds it up for the trio to see.

At first, Dragas sees four cards and notes. Trying to ignore the throbbing headache, he squints his eyes, trying to bring the card and the note into singular focus. Four cards and notes stare back. Emitting a painful growl, he closes his eyes.
Ketza. Would you still be here if I'd swallowed my foolish pride? My world is more the darker with you gone from it. I miss you, moy unalli and I'm tired of being alone.
Wanting nothing more than to continue to pine for the loss of beloved, family and identity, the odoriferously smelling man in an isolated corner of the grimy wharfside dive where the half-hearted attempt at nautical decor was only balanced out by the constant stink of dead fix intermingling with the constant presence of salt air in an ungodly potpurri of smell that did wonders for seekers of sobriety. While Dragas wasn't one of those people, he wasn't being given a choice to willingly climb on the figurative wagon. Lack of coin was making the choice for him, whether he liked it or not.
The tall broad-shouldered man opened his eyes and looked down at the card and the note once more. Instead of multiple images, the card and letter seemed to want to blur together. Looking down at both, Dragas has to almost have his nose right on the note before it comes into focus and he can read it.
As Dragas reed the note, another feral growl rolls out his throat as the gorge in his throat and stomach both rise upon reading a single name in the note. His haunted eyes and long face cloud in dark anger. Without thinking, he casts the tankard aside, paying no attention as it bounces off the wall and clatters the floor. Ignoring an angry yell from the indignant barkeep with a noticable paunch in his waistline, Dragas stalked out and begain verbally assailing anyone he could find.
"Lancent Street! Where is it? Where do I find it?"
The passersby whom Desna saw lacking to receive her grace couldn't help but to lean back from Dragas's combination of body odor and alcoholic breath as he harranuged anyone and everyone he could trying to get directions. They included an urchin who kicked the giant smelly man in the leg when he tried to grab his arm, a performing minstrel who made the mistake of cracking a Shoanti joke at the wrong time and rewarded for his wit with a swollen lower lip, and a guard who ordered the tall man to move along, lest he be jailed for vagrancy.
Hours: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Eventually, someone took pity on the half-deranged Shoanti and gave him directions to the street he sought along with the suggestion that he should bathe at the earliest opportunity. It was advice that fell on deaf and non-present ears.

I got ahold of him, Lorenzo. Although he initially wanted to play, he's since changed his mind. He's getting ready to move in the next few weeks and he's got a lot to deal with where that is concerned.
Looks like it will be six players, so if you need to go ahead and set up the introduction in Gameplay, go for it.

Done and done, Lorenzo. You've GMed for him before. He played Kyklonas in the first part of your Gallows of Madness PbP game.
