Hi all, I am finding myself increasingly busy with work and other responsibilities, so I need to cut back on my activities here on the boards. I am going to withdraw from this game, at least for the time being. If the situation changes enough for me I will be sure to reach out to Foxy via PM. Olmehya casts detect magic as she looks through the texts here. Finding three spell gems, she holds them up for the others to see. "This one allows the caster to cause a creature or object to levitate (2nd level flight spell), this one has power to remove afflictions, and this one will allow the caster to see that which is invisible or ethereal."
Then Olmehya lifts a staff shaped like a shepherd's crook and says, "This will certainly be useful. This will allow me to use my healing touch a 2nd time."

Olmehya doesn't like how close that spear came to doing real damage (I don't mean anything by that--just role-playing the lost stamina points but no hit points lost yet), but she stays in close to the lore guardian anyway so that she can make another swing at it.

Olmehya successfully dodges the falling debris. She directs her wisp to move to the cultist that Manteca pointed at, and then closes some of the distance herself.
Move action: direct the wisp; it is now harrying the cultist, granting a +2 on attack for the next person to attack that cultist

Since Boreal is first in our initiative, I think her Round 2 turn will be the one that gets the benefit of my wisp's harrying fire (+2 on the attack roll) from Round 1, assuming she attacks. Does that sound right? It's supposed to be the next attack by an ally that targets Avissa; the first one after my/the wisp's turn.
"Manteca and I can patch you up again if you need it, don't worry!"
Olmehya uses her final 1st level slot to cast shooting stars (magic missile) as a full-round action, sending all 3 missiles at Avissa.

The glowing wisp continues to harry Avissa, distracting her from another attack.
So to recap, the harrying in Round 1 should give a +2 to Boreal's Round 2 attack. Now there is harrying again in Round 2, and that will give a +2 to the next attack by an ally against Avissa--that's probably going to be EH-RK, but if he doesn't attack Avissa then it will help Boreal again in Round 3.

The scholarly kasatha then conjures otherworldly energy into a small, spherical, floating wisp which glows with a pale golden light. With a gesture she sends the wisp straight toward the cultist with the minigun.

Move action: direct the Wisp Ally to move (up to 60ft, looks like she's in range) into the cultist's space
the spell wrote: the wisp provides your choice of either harrying fire or covering fire (see pages 246–247) against the enemy each round on your turn, and it follows that enemy within range automatically unless you direct it to change targets. The wisp is made of pure light and energy and can’t be damaged in combat, though it can be dispelled as normal.
In addition to the function described above, the wisp sheds light in a 20-foot radius in a color of your choice (chosen when you cast the spell).
I'm choosing harrying fire, so the next ally to attack that foe gains a +2 circumstance bonus to her next attack roll, as long as that attack occurs before my next turn.

As Manteca finishes his work, Olmehya sits on her knees beside Boreal Typhon and places one hand beneath the vesk, under her back, a second hand on her shoulder, and a third hand rests lightly on the bite wound to the vesk's face. As she begins to concentrate, there is a faint glow of vital energy flowing between the two relative strangers, restoring vesk flesh to its uninjured, though not unmarred, state.
10 minutes pass, 20 hp gained for Boreal Typhon.

Dr. Solstarni approaches the vesk to examine her wounds and says to the android, "EH-RK, would you take a look at any equipment our most recent foe may have carried?" Foxy already listed loot in a spoiler above.
"Now, Boreal Typhon, let's see what we can do about your wounds. You fought ferociously," she adds in genuine admiration.
I think we should take 10 minutes. That is the time I need to use Healing Touch (mystic 1/day class feature), which will restore 20 hit points to Boreal Typhon. And a 10 minute rest will allow her to spend a resolve point to regain stamina points if she wants. If we are pressed for time I can do a mystic cure instead, which will heal 3d8+2...could be anywhere from 5 to 26 hit points.

"Drat," Olmehya says as her quick database search reveals nothing to her. Then her eyes widen as there is a great explosion of energy from the creature which envelops Boreal Typhon.
Noticing the glow is gone from its eyes and hoping that means it can't release such a blast again, Olmehya dashes in and attempts to reprimand it for its actions with a blow from her battle glove.

Okay, our lovely archaeologist is leveled up. For 2nd level spells, she gained Darkvision, Command Undead, and Mystic Cure. Mystic Cure was previously taking up one of her 1st level spells known, so with that spot opened back up she learned Identify.
Rules reference on variable level spells wrote: When you learn a spell that can be cast at variable spell levels, you gain the ability to cast it at the spell level you know and at every level below that.
If you know a variable-level spell and later select it again as a higher-level spell known, you can immediately select a new spell known to replace the lower-level version of the variable-level spell.
Her 7 strongest skills went up 1 rank each, and she used her 8th point to get her 1st rank in Medicine. She also gained 6 hp, 6 stamina, and 1 resolve point.

I do not know the full extent of their plans, but I worry for the safety and wellbeing of many. I can lead you to the Temple of the Twelve where they are now."

Dr. Olmehya watches in awe at the quick response of this group to the cultist's attempt to flee. A few days ago she might have been more deeply shocked by the way the vesk easily removed the shirren's head from its shoulders--but now she holds no sympathy for these followers of the Devourer.
After a moment's pause of staring at the dead cultist, the kasatha researcher turns to look at the android addressing her. "I'm sorry--did you call me damaya lashunta?" she asks, confused.

"Please tell me you were sent by the university. I am Dr. Olmehya Solstarni."

With one application of her healing spell, Olmehya's leg is good as new! The 1 damage I have left is from breaking through the window. Her speed recovered, Olmehya swiftly moves off into the jungle to lose her pursuers.
I think I need some more description of the larger situation/reminders of what Olmehya knows from her trip here as the cultists' captive. My instinct is that she doesn't think she could make it back home through the jungle on her own since she doesn't have her weapons (although I'm assuming she is still wearing her second skin armor). Let me know if that assumption is incorrect. Just trying to get an idea of what Olmehya could reasonably expect to be able to do--she has no idea that anyone besides the cultists are nearby, although she may have hope that the university sent rescuers. I also don't know the distance between or arrangement of the different parts of these ruins.

When you take damage, it's to your stamina points until they run out and then it's to your hit points.
Mystic Cure heals hit points, not stamina points. The only thing that heals stamina points is rest (and the Envoy's Inspiring Boost improvisation).
Perhaps we should have said that the damage from the fall was directly to hit points rather than stamina (which is not something technically allowed by the rules, but it would make sense for the situation when it's common sense that someone's leg be hurt from a fall)? If we retcon that, than a Mystic Cure and running away is exactly what I would have done.

Yep, I'm staying put. As soon as I see a cultist within 130ft, I want to do the full action version of shooting stars/magic missile to get them with 3 missiles.

Olmehya hobbles to the jungle's edge as quickly as she can on her injured leg. Knowing she can't move quickly enough to evade the cultists if they pursue, she instead finds cover behind a tree just inside the jungle's edge and waits, watching for pursuers. She can catch them with some shooting star blasts before they get close to her.

If a few minutes go by with no one bothering to come after her, then at that point I want to take a 10 minute rest and spend 1 RP to recover her Stamina Points. Since that would seem to indicate the cultists won't bother with her since they already got what they needed from her.

There's no mechanism to release these, you just cut them if you're not leaving them permanently.
