Dogdog obediently drank the potion Zord gave him. He sat on Dog's back holding his slightly chewed lance looking very nearly regal (the overall effect would have been much better if his tongue hadn't been hanging out). He'd dragged the boar carcass out to the shack after eating a few choice bits and dropped it in front of the door. Once he was done he backed up a bit and howled. It was a reedy, slobbery sound at first, then Dog joined him. That was a howl. Together the brothers called out their challenge to Pa Munchmeat.

Dogdog's wolfskull hand puppet took a bite of it's own! Attack, pack flank, power attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 1 + 4 = 29
Then Dogdog himself followed! Natural attack, bite, power attack, pack flank: 1d20 + 2 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 1 + 4 = 23
There we go!

Mmmmm, no. I don't think I want to take that damage. Acro, Roll With It, DC 12: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 Perfect Next, the boar needs to make a DC 15 reflex save or take 1 point of damage from Dogdog's barbed vest (since it attacked with a natural weapon) For a moment it looked like Dogdog got stuck by the boar's tusk and knocked flying, but actually Dogdog was only knocked flying. He'd somehow managed to twist out of the way of the attack and ride the momentum. Dogdog is staggered this round. Luckly Staggered creatures can still charge. Dogdog came back like he'd been on the end of a rubber leash, rolling to a stop and then rushing right back in. Charge!, pack flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 + 4 = 18

I'm back, sorry for the delay. Dog's attack roll should have been 4 higher than that from flanking with Dogdog. I'll make his attack bonuses clearer on his sheet. Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Dogdog lunged at the pig with his wolf skull jaw, and his own sharp teeth. Bitejaw, power attack, pack flanking: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 1 + 4 = 17
Bite, power attack, pack flanking, natural attack: 1d20 + 7 - 1 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 7 - 1 + 4 - 5 = 12

Dogdog's wolf-skull hand puppet answered Boggledook, it's metal reinforced jaws opening and closing, speaking in a comically highpitched voice. "Dogdog is good chief!" Dogdog sat up proudly and panted, pretending he hadn't been the one who just spoke. I think this might be the first time Boggledook's seen Dogdog do this. Dogdog only ever seems to talk through his puppet skull. He is a terrible ventriloquist.

Dogdog ignored everything but the new throwing stick, but when Zord threw his old one he went after it happily. It's all yours folks. The only thing Dogdog would want is the Cloak, but he'd end up using it as a blanket or something.

Chief Dogdog knew exactly what was next. He dropped a well-chewed stick between his new sub-chiefs feet and barked loudly. Dogdog's priorities are a bit counter-productive to progressing the plot. I plan on having him have a bit of a change of personality to facilitate actually moving the game forward, but I don't want it to be instant. That seems too jarring. I want it to come about more organically, and I also want to play with getting to know our new tribe, and having them slowly realize that their knew chief is completely unqualified. Oh, and as another note, Dogdog's favorite throwing stick is still that wand we found. As a Bard, Boggledook might recognize that.

Dogdog raises his voice in a victorious howl, and then hops around happily. Chief Dogdog headbutted Grubble's shoulder and then licked his face, loudly announcing "BARK!" Next he licked Zord's face and said "Ruff!" Finally, he looked at Boggledook, whom he didn't know very well, seeming to think for a moment (though what he was thinking was anyone's guess). Finally he licked Boggledook's face too and said "Boof!" Then he bounded over to the big chief chair, lifted his leg and peed on it.

Dogdog barked happily as Boggledook and Grubble crashed into the water, cheering the victory he still didn't really realize he'd cheated to win. He tossed Zord off his shoulders and into the water as well, and then jumped and splashed back down into the muck himself. He came up happy and dripping, panting with a stupid grin on his face.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Dogdog stull had no idea why they were riding on each other and shoving, but he was having fun. He stuck his foot out and hooked Boggledook's ankle under the water. Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 According to the terrain rules, water causes Concealment, so I don't know if Comrade can see this happening or not. If he can see it, the trip attempt provokes an AoO.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 2 = 13 Dogdog is still wearing the stomping boots, hence the penalty to acro The stirge stomping boots made Dogdog a bit unsteady in the water. Also, his natural exuberance made him not very strategic in his choices of where to move.

Dogdog hopped across to the last stirge, ducking underneath Grubble's blast of fire. Acro (balance): 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 2 = 20

Acro: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 7 - 2 = 24 Happily barking, Dogdog ran out on one of the planks and stomped one of the bugs. Do I need to roll for that? Can I stomp one and keep moving? How's this work? Attack, unarmed strike, power attack: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 1 = 24

Dogdog sat in a crouch next to the other would-be chiefs. When his turn came to speak he scratched his ear with his foot for a moment before realizing everyone was watching him. He raised his arm and the wolf-skull puppet's mouth moved. In a voice that was definitely a higher-pitched version of Dogdog's own, the skull proclaimed- "Dogdog is good boy!"

Not interested in the discussion, Dogdog started wandering around and investigating the Birdcruncher camp, occasionally stopping to pee on things. As a player, I'm loving the discussion. Dogdog isn't much for political theory though. Keep going and don't worry about me. :)

Dogdog turned his head to the side as the new goblin friend said words he'd never heard before. After a moment he loped up closer, sniffed her and then licked her face. Dogdog is an enormous goblin. Might have had some Bugbear in his ancestry somewhere. His size is a bit deceptive since he spends most of his time sitting on his haunches. When he moves he helps his stride by using his hands as well as his feet, loping around in an animalistic or simian stride. He has a wolf skull on his left hand that he uses as a puppet. He wears a spiky harness stolen from a human war dog. Behind him is the biggest wolf you've ever seen, outfitted with a matching harness.
