Folks, as much as I hate to do it, I think I am going to resign from this game. My GM duties on other threads, including a new homebrew campaign I just initiated will now take up all my available gaming time.

Hate to let you down, but since you are between sessions, you should be able to find someone to fill the bill.

How are we determining wealth to spend when we level up? Are those slides at the beginning of the deck complete with the loot rendered? Are we selling it all? I am happy to level up , but not sure where the coin to purchase things is coming from.

Dmitri wonders what the next day's challengs would bring. The episode with the adherer still stuck (no pun intended) in his brain, and he wondered if he'd be up to the challenge, especially if the fiery ifrit was not joining them this time out.

Not sure if you saw, but Noral (aka Kenji) resigned his games in Flaxseed Lodge. Not sure if that means he is out of this game also?

Dmitri also readies an alchemist fire to lob into the cat swarm unless it has already been dispersed by the others.

Dmitri groans as one of the stabbing spears punctures him as well. "Enough with the blasted traps," he cries. "Just give me something to fight, that won't hold my weapon back!" His frustration is evident, and he tries to bottle it back up.

Dmitri sighs with relief as the adherer finally goes down. Given enough time and leverage he is able to pull himself and his sword blade free, but the wounds taken in the fight are grievous. He sheepishly looks to the others to see if they might help him mend some of those hurts.

Dmitri is down 15hp and has no magical healing to use. Wonder if anyone has something he can use?

I am away again this weekend starting tonight through late night Sunday. Will be unlikely to check in or post during this trip, so please bot Dmitri as needed.

"I'm trying to kill and get unstuck," cries Dmitri, also trying once more to plunge the dagger into the sticky foe but has the same result, a glancing blow that doesn't wound the adherer at all.

Dmitri Dagger, grappled, IC: 1d20 + 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 + 1 = 13

Wounded and frustrated by the sticky monster, Dmitrir does like Kenji and draws out his dagger, trying to plunge it into the adherer without getting it stuck. It's an awkward attempt to stab the sticky foe, but Dmitri puts out best effort, inspired by Pen's words.

If the adherer is also grappled, then he takes a -2 AC penalty on this attack, but not sure it works like that with his ability.

After getting pummeled by the sticky foe, Dmitri again tries to twist himself loose, but only succeeds at getting in a worse position, and almost losing his balance completely.

First his sword got stuck, and now he did. Embarrassed, Dmitri tries to break free from the adherer's grapple but since he knows touching the creature is a bad idea, getting any leverage to separate is too much of a challenge.

Dmitri is astonished when his blade sticks to the strange creature.Now without his primary weapon, he wonders what to next.

Pushing his way to the fore, Dmirti attacks the bandaged form, hopeful that a blade will work on it.

Dmitri's blade is neither good or cold-iron, just mundane.

Dmitri closes the distance and ends up behind the div, flanking with Drea. He tries stabbing from behind, perhaps with the element of surprise.

Dmitri sees the hallway crowded around where the doru and vargouille are fighting, so he starts on the long way around, trying to get access in melee.

Dmitri hears the sounds of combat and rushes into the other room. He sees there is little space for him to engage the vargouille as the current tactical arrangement has it. So he stops short, and readies an attack in case the monster ends up within his reach.

Dmitri rapier, readied: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 oh, nvm...

Dmitri can only stand back and watch, as he has no skills with traps. "I can only suggest caution, this place has more bugs and traps than I have ever seen."

I will have house guests in for the long weekend and HS graduation for my oldest. They are here through Tuesday AM. As such I am unlikely to be brave enough to face the wrath of my lovely wife and slink off to post while I should be playing host. Suffice to say my posting may be non-existent over the weekend until Tuesday night.

Once everyone is safely upstairs, Dmitri will push open the first pair of double doors, readying for most anything.

Dmitri will be at front, and will wait until the others are arranged. But will open the door he is standing next to unless someone specifically calls out another direction.

Since it sounds like consensus, Dmitri leads the daring band of Pathfinders back into the main house and upstairs.

Secretly, he is a bit relieved to not be going into the crypt, there are enough undead and bugs up here, who knows what to expect down there.

Think the rectangle is the tiled pool, which is filled with sand.

Dmitri moves behind the others, who have lined up such that he cannot get in with his sword. He readies an attack if the scorpion moves within his range.

Dmg, if hit: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Knowing its his job to protect the others, Dmitri moves up to face the scorpion, his blade held high and proudly.

He moves south to fact the threat, then takes a ready stance, in case the bug comes out of the water, and wants to play.

Move 20' as indicated. Ready action to attack if the scorpion comes within melee range.

Dmitri rubs his wound in pain, cursing softly under his breath. "Blades not so effective against the skeletons," he says make a mental note. He might have to invest in a different secondary weapon if they kept poking around in ancient ruins.

Dmitri rushes into the room full of skeletons and stabs/skewers the first one.

Despite the many bombs, the scarabs beetles rush up on him, he takes a nuisance bite or two, but mostly the onrushing beetles make him feel sick, nearly losing his lunch as the swarm overtakes him. Backing up, he wipes the bugs off him as rapidly as possible, having no time for anything else.

Fails the Fort save, so is nauseated for 1 round.

DC 13 Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 12

Dmitri sees the swarm of beetles and knows his pointy blade will not be effective. With his free hand he reaches for the alchemists' fire in his belt pouch and steps forward, wishing to be the first target the swarm takes on, then underhand tosses his incendiary into the doorway. He then readies to have the crawlies all over him...

Dmitri ranged toss, alchemist fire: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Dmg, touch: 1d6 ⇒ 6

If this swarm is like most, it takes 1.5x dmg from AoE, so it would be 9HP.

Dmitri trots along with Nadric as he explores the other building. Given a chance, he will enter first, ready for a fight for whatever lies inside.

At Pirro's direction, Dmitri leads the rest of the Pathfinders south past the entry doors he saw before, and into the unexplored area of the house -- the southeast corner.

Dmitri slides around into the other opening, and then, in the next round attacks the nearest beheaded thing.

Blocked from getting to the fight, Dmitri backtracks and peeks out of the sunken room to see if there is another path to the floating skulls.

Move to the indicated position and look out to see if moving up to the north behind the skulls is safe. If so, will complete move that direction. If not, Dmitri won't draw attention to himself or start a second fight if at all possible.

Congrats! Before you know it you'll be taking them off to college visits like I did last week.

"Rest?" asks Dmitri with a grin, "Why that's just what I'v been doing. Recommend a sandman whenever you feel a bit peaky. Just the thing."

He may be a smart ass about it, but the fact that the sand creature felled him quickly stings. He keeps a sharp eye out as the others mill a about exploring.

I suppose its fine for Dmitri to be asleep as I will be on vacation starting tomorrow through Sunday. I will likely not be able to post during that time. Please run Dmitri as necessary should he ever wake up...

As the sandman activates its sleep aura, Dmitri can't help but succumb. He takes one groggy step forward, lunging out with his slashing blade, then falls face first to the floor, slumbering.

Having stood back while the conversation was peaceful, Dmitri leaps into the fray, reacting to the brutal attack of the sand creature. He slashes at it with his dueliing weapon, wondering if he can harm sand with it.

Dmitri blade: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Dmg, if hit, slashing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Not sure if I can flank with Zarisha or not, but add +2 to the attck role, if so.

Dmitri steps back to the space vacated by Pirro, driving his blade at the ribcage of the middle undead but he bumps into the doorway and nearly drops his blade.

Brandishing his sword, Dmitri says, "I am ready now. Weaken them if you like, my friend. But Kenji and I will dispatch them in a quick moment either way."

Once everyone has gathered in the room, Dmitri will nod to Pirro signaling he should do his thing.

Dmitri calls to the others softly, but urgently. "There are walking skeletons in this room. Do we need to go bash them to bits?"

He maintains his vigil, ready to attack if any of the undead move into the pool room.

After Kenji gets berated by Drea, Dmitri pulls back from going through the archway to the west. Instead, he merely peers around the corner, keeping under cover as much as possible, to see if there are any immediate threats that direction.

"That's more like it," says Dmitri as he delivers the final blow to the two-headed dog and Drea finishes off the asp in one blow. He wipes the blood from his blade, and uses a whetstone to finish the edge, as the others search around.

As his allies face off against the dog, Dmitri shoulders past Drea and enjoins the melee, stabbing at the angry canine.

Once the haunt is expelled, Dmitri drifts over to the double doors to the east, and, if not locked, opens them for further exploration.
