Now, i didn't manage to write up the full sheet, but here is a first draft. :)

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo battled twin desires. Some part of him told him to stay right where he was, out of the main battle. Another very significant part was feeling thundering anger, hissing desire to join battle and rip out someone's spine.

He knew the latter part wasn't his own mind, but he couldn't just ignore it. He fired another bolt of energy, clenching his free hand. Then, he darted from his brace position, intent to get a better shot at the goblin

male Human Rogue 3

GM:

Spoiler:
Perfectly fine with me. As you rightly noticed, I am pretty preoccupied right now

Dergo had no idea, what the sudden alarm was supposed signify, but he knew better than to question it, and ducked back towards the trapdoor he had entered the deck from. Grasped the edge as hard as he could.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo grinned at his lucky shot, and pulled back for another blast of the vile, angry force he had inside him. This time, his sadistic satisfaction began to color the energy, adding sickly greens and yellows.

"You didn't think it'd be so easy, right" He hissed as he let the next one fly. Some voice whispered to him what the wasp-riders were after, but that could wait until after they were beaten back,

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo grunted, and shook his whole body when the sticky mess hit him. He quickly began to scrub it of himself, tried to get out of it. He didn't know, what exactly it was, what the enemy exactly intended... but there was a pretty safe bet here. That bet being if they went to the trouble of dropping this onto their victims, it wasn't good for you.

If that is a move-action, otherwise disregard

Once most of the slime was brushed off, he was sufficiently angry to not care anymore about the possible repercussions. He felt the thundering anger inside his veins, focused on the closest enemy. Drew back one hand, clawed into a painful pose. Black-green fire filled his palm, and tossed it towards the goblin.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo realized there was a real danger of a panic as he glanced on the deck, and saw the sheer amount of people trying to board the ship. He abandoned his loading post, and quickly clamored up towards the deck. If the situation got out of control, he'd like the chance of being able to do something about it.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo had grasped the flask when he relaized something was coming over the walls, rather than just being in front of them. The Bell probably was some kind of alarm. He froze, his fingers still around the object. "I think we better wrap this up - got a feeling we might run off in a hurry"

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo paused as the bells started to scream bloody murder, and the crowds to erupt into panicked ants. His arms ached, from the constants exertions on the ship. His back ached. His legs ached and his throat would probably be hoarse from cursing ever having signed on.

"Ok, pals. What now" He grunted, wiping another handful of sweat from his brow.

male Human Rogue 3

Alright, giving this alias another try. Basic backstory and attributes at this point. I am open for comments.

male Human Rogue 3

Free lunch had always been, and would always remain Dergo's favorite kind of lunch. So he dug in to the extend he felt he could risk - he wouldn't risk being thrown out - not with so many ladies from out of town present. But he kept sneaking treat after treat to his plate.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo rubbed his eyes during the speech, and stiffled a yawn. The men really knew how to put a damper on the festivities, with the worries about people being safe, and... generally putting way too much dreadful mundane reality into the event.

He started to stroll through the market stands, without any haste. Maybe one of the traveling traders had less good sense than he could manage to bluff his way past, and would make this a very good day. If not, well... any day he wasn't doing some chore was a good day in his book.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo loitered around the festival square, and watched the stall filling themselves with the visitors and locals alike. His eyes were readened, and he giggled quietly to himself.

He scratched himself unashamedly, and kept a lookout for any halfway decent-looking woman who wouldn't know him all that well.

Added a very short background sketch to my profile. I hope it's alright.

I've re-tooled one of my old messageboard characters for this game. I'll write some backstory for him shortly, and link him to Sandpoint.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo nodded his assent. The offer sounded more interesting by the heartbeat. He always knew there had to be more to a gambling house than the front let on, but this was quite unexpected. Maybe this job had some merit to it.

"Tomorrow, then? I'll be here a little early... maybe with a nice lady." He winked at Saul, trying his level best to seem a little bit like a charming scoundrel. Maybe that would net him a position on the floor, or at least some goodwill.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo listened to the man selling his point. While usually a bit guliable himself, this time around something just did not rub him the right way. Sure, a man could grow frustrated, could grow old, and could definitely take a disaster like this night the wrong way. Still did not explain why he went to such lengths to sell them on the job. He could just have tossed a few coins on the table.

Still, he put some of his chips on the table - not all of them Just the gold... so he could have a convenient excuse with Tamara in the morning. "I'm Dergo. And I can't claim any of these fancy wordjugglings, but... keep talking. Sounds like It's my lucky night after all."

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo gently touched Tamars's cheek, and nodded. "I'll hear him out, but I'm not going onboard, unless the offer is really good. No worries, I'm not so stupid. How about you come by my place tomorrow? We can cash in together." He gave her a smile, thought about a kiss... but no. She wasn't feeling so good, so he'd get better payoff if he waited.

He joined with Saul after a short wave of goodbye

male Human Rogue 3

"The payout sounds good." Dergo replied, a bit surprised. He expected the man to return the money, but ten percent on top? Something was up. "But i guess i am getting a job."

He grinned "You know, the man really has a problem with security, it seems. And I helped stop this raid. I guess it'll center on that."

male Human Rogue 3

"I'm not hurt!" Dergo replied, and ambled over to his friend. He tried making a brave face, but the evening was probably ruined now. They might as well go home at this point. Cash in the chips they had left, of course... and see about that "half cash in for leaving early". After all, it was in no way his fault.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo wasn't stupid. He tried to hold them back as best as he could, quickly stabbing at each of them in turn... with a little luck, the guards would help him. If he got the feeling of getting in over his head - well, all it took was a step sideways.

male Human Rogue 3

"Oh, come on, you've got to be kidding me" Dergo grumbled as he saw the sudden influx of "casino savers" and how they were handling the situation rather handily. He'd hoped to be a bit of an ace in the hole here, and... well, it looked like they were not even going to check the hole this time around.

He gave up on waiting around. Maybe he could still earn some accolades... besides, it'd make him look good with the ladies. So he slipped back into the fight, and looked for the closest assailant who was a little bit... distracted.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo slowly made his way to the entrance. If the problems were dealt with on the floor - much better. But if they made a run for it, he'd be there.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo took a look at the situation, and came to the conclusion that once more, a rash, joke-like action had brought him right to the sticky middle of a pickle. Why the hell was he risking anything for the benefit of the casino? He'd not even won enough to make cashing in the chips worthwhile.

Ah well, he was in it, he might just as well roll with it. Since the robbers had made such big entrance, they probably had someone much less obvious preparing their getaway. And he'd find that someone.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo grimassed, and put a hand on Thamara's shoulder. "Watch out. Stay down. I'll stop these lowlifes from going away with my money."

He pulled one knife he had smuggled in, and threw it towards the wizard. Even if he just scared him, it might stop him from loosening more spells.

male Human Rogue 3

Will save (1d20=15) - Initiative (1d20+4=10)

male Human Rogue 3

Right now: 55 Copper, 42 Silver, 2 Gold in chips... but that is going to change soon

Dergo played some games for small stakes, winning back his stakes, but not really making any progress. With Thamara watching, however, he became a little bit peevish. He would have liked to impress her a bit... and so he put a bigger stake of chips into the middle of the table. If didn't make the roll, he'd be pretty much out of the game - but if he won...

Pushed his two golden eyes and a veritable stack of silver teeth into the middle... rolled the dice "Bounder bounder..." As the first came up with a 20, he cursed under his breath - he couldn't double if he wanted. "No Doubles, No doubles..." The second die rolled... 8. Not too bad. Not a sure bet, but a good chance.

http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1758621/ 20 - 8

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo was a little bit sobered on his luck - though still far from considering it turned, the morning, now him not even managing to break even in Golem... taking it a little slow wasn't the worst idea.

He played a few lower-stakes games of bounder close to Thamara. If nothing else, she'd brighten the evening more than any would-be succubus.

male Human Rogue 3

Spoiler:
Dergo nodded. Well, Bounder wasn't really a game where skill came into play, but that might just be a good thing right then. "Let's see what Lady Luck has in store, hmm?"

16 on the Sense Motive

male Human Rogue 3

While Dergo was fooling around on the shallow end of the pool, he still wasn't stupid enough to let his guard drop - and kept his eyes peeled for trouble.

1d20+4 -> [18,4] = (22)

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo thanked his lucky stars the bluff went through as smoothly as it did... but decided not to press lady luck too hard. He instead joined Thamara at the lower-stakes tables. "Hey. Things going well for you?" He asked, putting a kiss on her cheek. Maybe with an ally on the table, things would go smoother.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo grumbled slightly as his hand just did not hold up under fire, despite him being relatively sure he had played rather well. But the man was right, no use wasting the chance to win it back on small change. If the worst came to the worst, someone was bound to "help him out" anyway.

The next hand that came up was... Abysmal. Crud, utter and complete crud with no redeeming feature whatsoever. If he wanted to make this work, he would need to have anyone fold. So he bluffed as if there was no tomorrow.

1d20;1d20+6 → [1] = (1) 1d20;1d20+6 → [17,6] = (23) You can view its full glory at http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1750132/.

He could feel his insides clenching unpleasantly. He wasn't bleeding chips slowly, he was downright hemorrhaging like an amputee. He kept his cool, but if things continued like this, he probably would have to try his hands at a lower-stakes table, and win back some "working capital" before entering here again.

male Human Rogue 3

I've noted down the bet (15 silver) in the roll description on invisible castle. This way i could not change it after the roll was made.

male Human Rogue 3

After Dirty received his first handful of chips (50 hearts, 55 teeth and 3 eyes), he naturally gravitated to the Golem tables. The game was the best game to augment luck with a bit of careful playing the table - and despite his sincere belief that luck was on his side, that never really hurt, either.

He found a table still lacking a player, and began to make his bet.

Rotten gambler roll (2), but good bluff (16). Here is the roll: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1749060/

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo grinned quitely about all the hell-themed decorations. With Thamara with him, he did not oogle the "Succibi" too openly, but a glance now and then was good enough. Honestly, he wasn't worried. Even if the entire thing wasn't just for show, how valid could the contract really be if he signed it off in the name of one of his favorite moneylenders, rather than his own? Way too easy to cheat the devil in this bit.

He leaned over to his friend, and whispered. "Alright, let's see who gets to the bottom first" before getting his first set of chips. He'd have to start slow, or else he'd be out of money soon. Some part of him knew, he was no great gambler, much too emotional in his betting and far from able to really analyze and think through a game - but his luck had turned, and nothing in this world would make that otherwise. Except for maybe being thrown out penniless.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo nodded, and finished up his drink. "Should i walk you home? You know, I may not be the safest guy around right now, but i might be better than noone." Hells, if it was not for woman, his life would be a walk in the park. Fleece a fancyboy now and then, scam a chelish bastard with too much money and too little sense. Most of his troubles started and ended with thinking with the other head.

But had you really pressed the issue to the core, Dirty probably would have had to admit he liked it. Liked never knowing if he woke up in a gutter or a bed. Liked the risk, loved the thrill and exhilarated in occasionally being taken for a ride.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo laughed, and kept the gaze up. For just a moment, he held the eye contact, until a (none too unpleasant) shiver ran up his spine. "So do i. Can do this only for so long until everyone around is pissed off. Guess the better one wins, then. Too bad, I'd rather have you on my side. So i don't have to crush you on the way to the top." He gave her a grin and a thumbs up.

She'd be there, and that was worth a lot. Old friends were the only thing you could halfway count on in Riddleport. And truly, if she was the one making it big, well... there could be much worse people getting that money.

He took a first sip from his tankard, and gave her a smile.

male Human Rogue 3

Dirty gave her a thankful smile, and a nod. "Thanks, I'll keep my ears on the ground, and the head down. Oh, and Tam? You coming along tonight to the Gold Goblin? I could use a pretty girl to push my luck up a few notches." He wasn't all too sure about how to handle the problems with the soakers, but he'd figure something out. They wouldn't stay on him too long - he was small fry. But how to weather it out?

He couldn't very well shave his head and join some monastery, it wasn't possible. So he'd keep his head down, grow a beard, and try to not step on their toes any further for a while. He knew how to mess around with magic, but some of the face-changing salve would probably run higher than the money he got for the job. If it really was such a huge deal, the golden-capped scroll was probably being negotiated over right about now. If it really was so valuable, they'd get it back.

The gold he'd make tonight would go a long way to make things easier. Maybe he could buy them off, even. And in all honesty, if he lost, maybe Tamara would console him - he still was somewhat frisky. That tiefling... he'd have to get even with her.

male Human Rogue 3

Perception check: 1d20+4 → [7,4] = (11)

Dergo had already half decided to order when a thought crossed his mind. If the others were drunk and he was one of the few sober gamblers around, then it would be much easier to get his luck going, especially in any game that didn't involve the house too heavily. So he went down from his favorite poison to a rather tame ale (and even that was probably watered down close to being unrecognizable). Never hurt to be prepared.

He kept eyes and ears open to see if any old friends showed up... or old enemies. He wasn't looking for trouble, but trouble sometimes failed to appreciate that fact.

male Human Rogue 3

His head still filled with the strange mixture of horny and hangover, Dergo indulged in some private fantasies... that girl had it all. She was bad, she was full of herself, and he wanted her. He probably wouldn't ever get her, no matter much had would wish otherwise. Not that that ever stopped him from trying.

After looking at a few opportunities to make up the losses of the morning (and then some) with a bit of nimble fingerwork, he noticed the weather. A good chance to change venues a bit... some tavern where he could indulge his favorite hangover cure.

If there is a likely mark (accessible, distracted, none-too-sharp looking), he'll probably go for a little pickpocketing, but not if there is any risk. He still fully expects to strike it rich tonight ;)

male Human Rogue 3

"Lady, you're a loaded weapon alright - but I've paid worse with some quickwives." Dergo chuckled, as he dropped the small pouch on his belt. You win some, you lose some. Fortunately, it wasn't much - he'd have to count, but he learned that carrying around all the money you had on your belt was a good way to get rid of it soon. As was carrying it around at all, but maybe the woman wasn't sharp enough to go for the neck pouch.

He made a good show at leaving behind the rest of his pocket content. A bit of marijuana, tied in a tidy packet. Some coppers of change. A small bronze figure of a butterfly - nothing he could not do without. "Just so you know... It was worth it." he added, seeming intent on now walking away, calm as day.

Of course, he wasn't that sure. Not with someone threatening him with a weapon. But showing you're afraid is usually the worst thing to do in any situation where another has you under control.

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo was not the sharpest tool in the drawer. Also, he was quite... lustful. He wasn't a complete fool, however. And so he did turn around, as Della had requested - but took care to also take a step away from her, out of an easy knockout range - and hoped she wouldn't throw a knife at him. He wasn't even thinking much on how this looked - just acted.

"So, what did i do to be so lucky?"

male Human Rogue 3

Dergo felt as if he was about to explode. His hangover was still very present on his mind, but damn if the woman didn't make a compelling case for him not caring too much about it.

A tiefling. Likely one of Callistria's priesthood? She sure had the "Lust" part down. "I am feeling.. very lucky right now, and if you intend to stay around, that's only going to get better." He really should know better, but like so often, he thought with a different head before the one on his shoulders. He leaned over, and whispered "And i'll gladly see to any split you'd like me to take a look at."

Some part of him knew that gift horses which came in such a seductive wrapping were a damned good way to get into trouble - but who really cared?

male Human Rogue 3

Despite his head still feeling as if someone had pulled out all the soft parts and replaced them with rough wool, and a stomach that would put the word "rebelling" to shame, Dirty could not help but follow her every motion. Damn, if that wasn't the finest piece of... BODY. Really, no matter where he looked, she had it.

He didn't feel particularly guilty for lusting after her pretty much instantly. She wouldn't have put on that outfit if that wasn't at least accepted. And besides... he had no future, so planning for a future with anyone was just conning that person.

"Lady, you just cured me of that for a month at least." He mumbled, half aloud. Despite his young age, he had been "around town" a few times, but never had he expected a gorgeous lady like this on his doorstep. "I'm Dergo, and consider myself a lucky fellow right about now."

male Human Rogue 3

Hmm, would you like to put all the intros into one thread, or make several? I can live with it either way.

male Human Rogue 3

Ok, put down a brief "Day in the life" post. Hopefully i got the format right.

It's not a novel, but might give you a bit of a feeling where i am going with the character.

male Human Rogue 3

Ok, i got the system down. Please look over it, and see if you notice anything "off" or fix-worthy. I'll start with backstory now

Some first sketches for Dergo. It is very little, i know, but i have to hit the hay pretty much now in order to pull myself to work in less than 7 hours
