Din gave a withering look to the goblins, ”That should work. Anything else you failed to tell us about?” To the new comer he replied, ”An extra set of hands would be helpful. What skills do you bring to the table…. Magic? Healing? A strong sword arm?”
Din countered, ”And perhaps you can explain why you failed to tell us about the goblins below. And why they attacked us.”
Stand down gobos! You have already tried my patience,” Din warned, a dark look passing across his face.
No dead yet. I hope.
”Halt!!” The mage commanded. ”Who is this dwarf? And what is going on here.”
”Either way there will be a reckoning,” he commented to Sarn. He looked to Terion, Lead the way.”
”Not ideal,” the mage agreed with Sarn. Just far enough so they can’t take potshots from the dark.”
I’m fine with continuing with Terion as dm NPC until we can recruit someone or some-two.
Neither have I. It’s been two weeks since he posted.

Terion did post on Feb 6th in another thread that he had a busy week at work ahead of him. Maybe he hasn’t caught up yet. I’d prefer to wait a bit before replacing him but will support what ever decision is made.
”Apparently, someone for got to tell these gobo’s that we are on the same side,” Din forced out through gritted teeth. Carrying his torch he advanced up with Terion, ”That blasted barking is some kind of warning to more of these filthy creatures.”
No worries. Enjoy the time with your family. I’ll give Terion a bit then post something for him if he hasn’t.

Just fyi, Terion posted earlier in the week, in another game thread, that he was facing a busy work week.
Din’s eyes go wide as saucers as Nilelane ran past him. Seeing no threat he cast a spell of shielding.
Din is distracted by the bumbling of a cave moth as it flies past him and enters Nilelane’s ear.

Din is busy listening to his own internal dialogue to hear anything else.
Din shook his head in agreement and added, ”We should have asked the dwarves for a map instead of those filthy goblins. I think they left out a bunch of details
With the rats dealt with Din lights another torch and announced, ”Ready.

Din waits for the rats to enter the oily surface and then throws the torch he is holding.
Din raised his hand, palm facing down the corridor and muttered a quick incantation. A blueish white light leapt forth from the palm of his hand illuminating the corridor.
Din looked around and clutched his staff a little tighter.
”First door first as I always say,” the mage unnecessarily chimed in.
Din looked into the room and agreed, ”This will make a nice place to fall back to. Just make sure we all no how to get in without setting it off.” He considered for a moment, ”Or don’t set it until we are all in the room.”
Unfortunately, I have terrible sleep habits too. I blame it on getting old.
The mage shrugged sheepishly, You’re ..uh … welcome.”
Din took one look at the room and decided,”Lets move on. The less I know about goblin eating habits the better I’ll sleep at night.”
The mage inched forward while Terion pushed the door open.
Din raised the light source he carried high above his head to help light the way.
That is correct.
I’m posting this in all my games. We are expecting a major snow storm tomorrow. While I don’t expect to lose power or internet service it is always a possibility. If I don’t post tomorrow apologies in advance.

Din can cast illuminate as a cantrip but it requires concentration so that is all he will be able to do.
Is he having a fit of some sort, the mage thought as he watched Sara’s facial contortions. After a few seconds he picked up on Sarn’s hidden meaning and agreed as he stifled a yawn,”I’m ready ….too.”
Din exits the tent right behind Sarn motioning Eddrikk to follow.

Din gave the dwarf a terse nod in acknowledgment and quickly threw off his blankets. His sleep fulled ears tried to follow the muffled conversation. What big secret,” he thought in his half awake state. After a moment the mage’s brain caught up with reality, ”Oh, a bluff.”
