I think that we definitely need to warn the colony. Then tomorrow when we have a full complement of spells we need to try and hunt down some cyborgs.

Deth asks Momo to check on Nox and stand guard. He is obviously very disappointed with the results of his potion and after checking Aenon over he quickly returns to Delia with his healing kit.
I think everyone is stabilized, so Deth will Treat Deadly Wounds with his heal skill. He will use bloodblock on both Delia and Aenon. He starts with Delia, hoping she might have some healing.
Heal Delia, Bloodblock: 1d20 + 11 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 5 = 25
Heal Aeonon, Bloodblock: 1d20 + 11 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 11 + 5 = 24
Delia gets 6 Hp back, Aenon gets 3 HP back, 6 if someone can rustle up an additional +1 to his roll
Once they're conscious, he'll offer goodberries to any that can benefit from them. I've lost track as to how many berries people have already consumed

Deth watches them leave, unable to stop them. 'That is going to come back and haunt us.' he thinks. He walks over to Delia and uses his Cure Light potion on her.

Yea Momo, I think you can act and you may just have to save us all! Deth looks worried as the stalwart monk falls to the ground. He grows and stabs at the non stunned Rayland, trying to draw their attention while hopefully Delia can repair his wounds.

At this point, Deth loses his temper with Eliza. "There are dangers you don't know about down there. And we are trying to help you." He steps between Eliza and Rayland and the stairs. "Unless you give me a good reason otherwise, we are going to remove the blanket and see what it conceals. What exactly is the trap and what does it do."
If they try and move past him, he grows and pushes them back.

Until we can figure out what is going on with Rayland, I think we should go ahead and take them back with us. Things to do
1) Take out the Ankheg nymphs outside before they grow up to be a threat.
2) Free the elemental
3) Bring back a trapsmith to disable that darn trap room.
4) Bury and have services for Nox's uncle. Although Deth will politely suggest to Nox that he might have one of the clerics cast Speak with Dead for closure (and information, but Deth won't be crass enough to admit that)
5) Form a task force to study this new magical technology and history this place represents.

Deth suspiciously eyes Rayland, but ultimately can find nothing to definitely contradict the man's story. He extends his hand to shake theirs. "I'm Deth Tobrin, by the way. We are not the leaders of the expedition, and I hope you can understand that we will need to inform our leader of your presence before we reintegrate you into the colony. Just a formality, but I propose that we take the two of you to just outside the township, and then bring our leader out to meet you. I'm sure she will be delighted." He turns to Nox and Aenon. "Can we free the elemental just by smashing a rune or something? He's been of great help to these two and one good turn deserves another."

They've been transmogrified into some sort of half constructs. Perrel in particular is going to horrified by their fate and insist we leave before the same happens to us.

Double check my logic on this.

Eliza decides to explore tower. Shapeshifter released, takes her place and imprisons her here. Shapeshifter soon realizes that his purposes would be better served by taking Rayland's place. The thing that doesn't track is that assumes the shapeshifter was allied with the Skum. Maybe Eliza did something that she can't remember. Regardless, the shapeshifter as Rayland then proceeded to undermine the colony from within. The narrative only makes sense if there were two shapeshifters because Rayland and Eliza were both outside the tower dividing the group into two tribes while they were both inside the tower. They are each others alibi

Deth turns to Rayland. "So exactly, how did you come here, Rayland." Although he doubts that the shapeshifter is disguising himself as a prisoner, he needed Rayland on record as to how he got captured.

Yes, I do have Create Water loaded as an Orison. So I guess that mechanically it shouldn't be a problem. I just know it will cause all sorts of morale problems however.

Thanks for the update.

Deth will continue to question the survivors about their needs. Are they aquatic now? Particularly he is trying to determine the best means of moving them to the colony, after checking with Ramona of course. There is the morale of the colony to be considered in revealing that something here is conducting these horrible experiments and the survivors will be continual reminders of that fact.

Deth offers some goodberries to the colonists. "They may not taste like much, but they have a complete day's worth of nourishment." he adds in way of explanation. "So you were not captured at the same time. Who was captured when." In particular he asks Eliza. "Was Rayland already a captive when you came to?"

Do we have a sense as to the time scale of all this. Particularly Deth is trying to parse exactly how long ago the shapeshifting prisoner was freed.

Unable to speak to the creature and unsure what it is, Deth casts Goodberry once again while Nox opens a dialogue.
Goodberry: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Trying to reassure Momo he says. "Although I am certain the 'Scuttles' was made by these people, perhaps nurture can overcome nature in this case."
He offers some goodberries to Aenon.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you more in that fight. He was murderous ."
This now gives him 11 berries. Aenon can consume 4 of them before hitting his daily limit, curing 4hp and leaving Deth with 7 berries left.
"I am out of magical healing, but give me about an hour and I can sew you up. All my spells will falter during that time, however." he looks over to Delia. "Do you have anything left?" he asks the bard.

Move action to move Flaming Sphere to Urlgryber, following the path he took (avoiding Aenon). Not sure if he can draw a potion as part of a move action, but if he can then he will get and drink a Cure Light Potion.

Deth reals back a couple of feet from the wound, stepping next to Delia , hopefully for some healing. He quickly summons a spirit of fire from the elemental planes, coalescing around the evil skum.
5'step back towards Delia. Cast Flaming Sphere and move it over Urlgryber.

About Julix

Stat bonuses are only estimates. Due to the low level the variance in results is largely dependent on the roll of the D20, thus hard to tell what other bonuses affected that.
