Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Thinking isn't a good way through this situation, and without his Elixirs, Delamr is at a substantial physical disadvantage. He tries his best to shoulder through the crowd, pushing Cedric to do the same.

"Come on, get through that crack by hook or by crook or you die here.".

Str: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Whatever they bloody well tell me at this point!

Delmar edges close to Cedric, but otherwise follows orders and keeps his head down.

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Del catches Ish as he moves past and holds him gently. "Not too close my friend, it looks like we will have time to get to know this dragon." he says quietly.

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Delmar drops the rest of the brands onto the sand. Then looks around for Cedric.

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

"Some? We come as a package, or we don't come at all. If you want us, call off your hounds so that we can talk civilly"

Also, comment to Delmar. The brand is an improvised weapon and so gets a -4 penalty to hit. However, you hit anyway because their AC is terrible, plus they are raging and charging. However, you have the Throw Anything feat which allows you to throw an improvised weapon without the -4 penalty, plus you don't have to stand next to a bunch of raging maniacs to do it. There is plenty of ammunition on a shingle beach.

I actually did consider that, and went for the hand to hand rather than incur the "shooting into combat" penalty and hoping the extra +2 for flanking would help both me and Rish. Throw anything was my initial plan with the brands....

At the noise of the Dragon, Delma takes a step back, and lowers the second brand he has in his hands.

5ft Step to Y11. Ready an action to retaliate if someone attacks me, but otherwise hold.

This is where having my bomb stuff would be really useful.....

Move to Y10, via Y13 to avoid AoOs

Hit W1 with a brand, which I'm assuming works like a club.

Delmar moves in to help Rish with the attacker.

"I have no tricks up my sleave. Normally I would be able to make a decent explosion, but without my things. I'm as much use as these villagers. Take the lead Blythe, a firm leader will make for quicker, more effective decisions."

You don't appear to be locals."

"We were shipwrecked, and woke up captives. It makes you a little fractious."

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

I should really have taken some languages....

"Blythe, play nicely. We are going to be lucky to get out of this alive as it is. Perhaps this elf can help us? Nice to meet you Rish, but ahh, this is a bit of a stressful situation at the moment." Delmar calls across the beach.

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Delmar pauses, a brand readied to throw, but waits at Blythe's command.

Hold until Blythe is attacked/starts fighting for now.

Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Delmar ignores Blythe, and decides to try and split things up a bit.

move action to stand, another move action to move to W12

He then steps to the fire and picks up a handful of brands, and moves out of the hut.

A couple of move actions there... let's test the throw anything feat :D End up in W7 if possible.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Delmar takes a look after Blythe "Oh, now that changes things a bit."

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs/Blythe:
"This looks like our chance. Lets move."

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs, Blythe:
I'm hoping Blythe meant a hole in people, not the walls....

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs, Blythe:
"A dra..." Delmar pauses at the noise, and motions Cedric to stand, and move back. "Be ready. This could be a chance." He says to everyone in the room.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Blythe, Aubs:
"All I know of is who you can see here. Like you, I woke here after being knocked out on the beech. I've seen no one else since the ship."

I don't think Aubs has mentioned how many people are in the room with us yet.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs, Blythe:

"That does change things. We could possibly splint it? Do you think you could walk with help if we did that?" Delmar says to the other man. Once Blythe wakes, he moves to her to get a better look at her wound.

    Heal Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Does Blythe need aid or is she stable?

"Blythe, good to see you. We were just plotting escape. Have you seen or heard the others?"

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
Delmar turns to Cedric, "I really do like you. Ok, we have some blunt weapons. We have some people. I say we cause a commotion, let a few of our guards in, then knock them out, and take any weapons, and move from the dell to see where we are. Agreed?"

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
"We can cross that bridge if we get to it. Let's see if we can get free first. What resources do we have? Anything we can use as a weapon?"

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
    "Lucky indeed."

"So, does anyone have a plan for getting us out of here? We are lacking in weapons, and fighters. But we must assume that we are the only survivors and that no rescue is coming. How do we get back to civilisation?"

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
"Thank you Mr Ward. Is the black eye from the storm, or from poking your head out? I take heart from the fact that we are not yet dead. That implies that whatever they do want requires us to be alive. That gives us a fighting chance. Is anyone badly wounded?"

"Are the Islanders usually able to be reasoned with?"

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
Number 4, and almost certainly the last.... can't afford any more!

"That's, not good. But it is what it is. Who are they? Friend or foe? Do you know anything of the others?"

So, I have no equipment, and no book.... the infusions I have "prepared" should be usable (they would be on my person, unless you want to be really, really mean and rule they got washed out/stolen....) but I have no way of creating more... this could be fun.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Aubs:
Sorry, hectic weekend! Youngest's first birthday already!

"I, ah, well. I'm still above ground. That's something. It is good to see you Cedric. Mister Ward."

"How did I get here? The last thing I remember was washing up on the beach, and someone knocking me out?"

Delmar shifts a little, to look around. "My, pack. Do you know where it went? With it I could help treat some injuries. Without it, well. I'm not so useful."

    Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 No ranks so Acrobatics is just a straight Dex roll (no armour mods)??

    Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Delmar dives aside as the mast comes crashing down, unfortunately he too is flung into the see by the attempt to move to safety.

    GM:
I take it the spoilers for those in the sea are individual, not collective?

As Delmar hits the water he lets it wash over him, holding his breath in the hope that he will surface safely. He clings to his pack hoping to use it to stay afloat, and considers the impact of taking a mutigen once he can breath. Once he surfaces, his first thorught is to look around for Cedric.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 Delmar notices the sudden change in motion of the ship, and quickly throws the most important things back in his pack. Then makes his way to the deck.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

During the storm Delmar will have lent his aid in whatever way he can. He's not strong, but an extra pair of hands can be of help. He will retire where needed to get sleep to maintain his spell casting abilities.

As evening falls on the second day he will be retiring again, to his cabin.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Delmar finds a place to sit that's as clear of ropes as possible. "If you try to let your body relax, and roll with the ship, it's much more bearable. Sick you say? Please don't it won't help with the smell in here. The captain thinks the ship has weathered worse, I'm sure this will be over soon."

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Delmar takes the storm precautions to heart and seeks out Ishmex. "How are you fairing my friend? Do you fancy that bird brought the storm?"

Living in hope that we aren't attacked by Kraken *every* day of the journey.....

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

Delmar settles his things into the locker in his cabin, and then returns to stand on deck with the others. He watches Lheorvine with a small smile of amusement, but mostly tries to keep out of the way.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Why did Cedric devolve into a stammer? He seemed to be getting better at first....

"Thank You My Lord." Delmar begins "Without wishing to cast aspersions, and to be quite blunt. What your son describes could, by some, be considered a form of heresy. Do you believe there will be repercussions from the Church that could affect us or the journey?"

Delmar sits back and takes a sip of his drink, enjoying the flavour. He waits to see if his words elicit a reaction.

"Interesting. It's a place I haven't really thought about. I certainly know little of it. It is not a place I feel a burning desire to visit based on your description."

"Ish, I wouldn't mind a look at your book later too. I'm sure I can repay you in some potions."

    OOC:
That was an awesome opening post Aubs. Epic.

I have none of those knowledge skills... Should probably fix that....

Delmar stands looking at the painting, admiring the technique. He stands tall and quite lithe, with medium length neatly trimmed brown hair, and a neat beard.

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

I can use spell trigger items if the spell is on my infusion list. Cure spells are on the list. Wands are Spell trigger items. I have a wand.

Granted, we are in trouble if I lose the wand, but not sure I want to mess with the discovery's at this point, but I may swap out "frost bomb" for it if people want that extra security.... Also, I really don't get that many extracts per day....

    Male Human Alchemist 4 Treasure

    Delmar Ruth, ready to roll....

I did what I don't often do and consulted a "how to build an alchemist" page..... He ought to be pretty all round, and fairly decent with skills...

I could do to spend some cash I think, but not so sure what on.....
