Male Human Investigator 7

Delian will move into a flank and aid other the person he's flanking with, helping them to focus on striking effectively.

basically, whoever is closest to him will get the flank.

Aid other attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 success!

Male Human Investigator 7

Delian will take up a position near the central building on the dam and wait for reinforcements before moving in.

Male Human Investigator 7

oops, accidentally forgot to change alias'

Male Human Investigator 7

Reload and fire on the worker most likely to get in Ayla's way.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage roll in case I hit: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

"Clear Lady Ayla a path gents!" shouts Delian to the Black Arrow Rangers.

Male Human Investigator 7

Delian will let Zadderk fire first, then follow his own advice and focus on the shaman with a shot from his crossbow.

I will use studied combat on him then shoot him.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Damage Roll (in case I hit): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Male Human Investigator 7

"The issue I see is that the dam is too wide for us to effectively bottleneck. We should wait for the shaman to go into the building, and then wipe out the nearest two groups, then dump their bodies off the side of the dam. We can then take the shaman by himself and then move across and deal with the other two groups of ogres. We should also assume that there will be 6 ogres per fight. Same thinking still goes: We should focus on them one at a time. They will most likely just attack us with the equipment that they are using on the dam, and I believe that they should be among the weaker ones, as ogre culture physically oriented, which means that the stronger and tougher ones tend to lord over the weaker ones."

For some reason I kept thinking we were at the fort. I got it squared now. Is there a door or gate on the building, or just an open arch?

Male Human Investigator 7

"Okay, fair enough. I'll go and take a look at the fort proper then. given me to the count of [insert appropriate number of seconds equal to estimated time], then start off the assault."

how far away are we from the walls of the fort in minutes? Modify the above to reflect that amount plus 5 minutes in time, cause it might take me a bit to sneak around and whatnot.

Male Human Investigator 7

"If we are agreed on attacking, Ladies, you mind leading off the assault? Start by putting Silence on Ayla then into the fray with you. Zohan, you mentioned casting the haste spell? please do so before Karla casts Silence. Then hang back with me and make spot attacks as needed. Mister Crowe, how much of a link do you have with Dasher? Can you see through his eyes yet? If so, could you do so and have him fly above to keep an eye on the status of the Fort? If not, do you mind sneaking up to take a look? We basically need some sort of advanced warning to know if the ogres in the fort are going to react to our presence. Keep yourself hidden, and let us know what's going on. Zohan, can you cast the message spell on all of us? that way, if we see anything weird, we can pass it along to you and you can let the rest of the group know."

Male Human Investigator 7

"Unless I miss my mark, Lady Karla is a member of the priesthood of the lord of iron, given the holy symbol and greatsword; Lord Zohan is a wizard of some sort, given his accoutrements, and unless I am mistaken, Mr. Crowe is a wilderness ranger of some account, and probably has extensive knowledge of the fort. You, Lady Ayla, are clearly a unarmed combatant of skill, although the fact that you wear armor suggests that you are not a monk. Have I missed my mark? I rarely do."

"As for myself, I am skilled in.....well, everything. I'm not a hardened killer like some, but I can hold my own in a fight. My main skill, however, are my powers of observation."

Male Human Investigator 7

"If we are going to attack them, we should start with the tattooed one. He is probably a spellcaster of some sort, which would make him the most dangerous of the group. The workers will probably attack with their work implements, so you should prepare for that situation."

Pausing for a moment to reflect, he adds "If we choose to fight them, we should down them quickly, which means focusing on the same one and dropping him as soon as possible. The rain will give us some concealment, sound wise, but it will only go so far. If any of the spellcasters here could cast the silence spell, that would help a great deal."

"All of this is predicated on the idea that we wish to combat them. Should we wish to avoid them, We would need to make our way stealthily to the waterfall on the western side of the fort, which I believe contains a cave behind the waterfall that might lead us into the fort proper."

Male Human Investigator 7

Delian observes the ogres, taking special note of the one that is different/appears to be in charge.

Knowledge (any since they're all the same bonus): 1d20 + 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (2) + (4) + 16 = 22

Male Human Investigator 7

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lord Zohan, Master Withers. I look forward to stopping our enemies from destroying a 10,000 year old structure."

With that, Delian will climb his horse and move to take his place somewhere in the middle of the group.

Male Human Investigator 7

Ya, I realized that when I started scrolling up. Got it fixed.

Male Human Investigator 7

Following quickly on Ayla's heels comes a man of average height and build, with dark hair and piercing green eyes which seem to take in everything in a glance. Bowing formally, he says "Greetings. My name is Delian Alcare, and I was also retained by the community leader to help deal with the situation at the Dam. I will offer what aid I can."

Here is my (Vrog's) investigator/Trap Specialist.

Male Human Investigator 7

Without another word, Delian will slip outside to see what is going on.

Male Human Investigator 7

"I know, that is why we do not fight when life is not on the line."

Male Human Investigator 7

That was my way of telling Wardica that I don't spar =D Also, that's a story that I was told by an African guide when I was there.

Male Human Investigator 7

"In the jungle, the leopard will toy with his chosen prey for days and days, letting him run himself to ground. He will herd him away from safety, pick off his companions one-by-one, and attack when his target is confused, tired, and hurt. I choose not to be like the leopard."

Male Human Investigator 7

"This is Eiger. I know that I'm feeding him by hand, but he is a dangerous predator, not a pet. Leave him alone, and he'll leave you alone. When we head out tomorrow, Make sure you pack plenty of water; You'll be drinking quite a bit, especially if you aren't used to the jungle."

Delian will spend some time taking a look at maps and talking to some of the guides here to plan us a route.

Male Human Investigator 7

"Weather should clear soon, so be ready."

Male Human Investigator 7

"No thanks Jak."

Delian spent a fair amount of time fussing over the small jungle cat that he had come in with a few days ago. Like most panthers, he was dark colored to blend in with the terrain, but looking at him, anyone could tell that he was built for speed. A braid of human hair was hung around his neck, and Delian was in the process of feeding him small scraps of meat.

I'd like to make a Survival roll to see if I can tell if the weather is gonna change in the next 24 hours.

Survival Check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Male Human Investigator 7

good to go here!

Male Human Investigator 7

Here is my character alt.

sounds like you're gonna need a bodyguard Kyrzbyn. Still haven't gotten a book yet, (had something come up financially so I'm more or less broke until next month), so let me present:

Morthune, Oathbound paladin.

Background:

Like many shamans born to his tribe, Mastos was born under an auspicious sign (A meteor swarm in the night sky) to a human slave. Marked as special, Mastos was forced to fight, even in his formative years. That was when he began hearing the voices, which told him that he was special and that he had a great destiny: to unite all orcs under the banner of the mighty Trogdor! The voices further explained that Trogdor was a heretofor unheard of Orcish god of magic and thievery. Apprenticed to the tribal shaman, Mastos was beaten regularly by the shaman, who had so far never had to deal with someone of actual power (he had gotten by with minor magical ability and being incredibly scary). Mastos endured the beatings like he had endured everything in his life: with silence. The voices told him that he needed to keep his secrets, and continually prodded him to ensure that he would keep silent.
This continued for many years, until Mastos had gathered enough power to kill the shaman of his tribe. Having finished the deed, the voices told him that it was time to leave his savage tribe behind and enter the wilderness. It was during this time that he was guided by the voices to an area where a recent battle had taken place. in the center of the battlefield lay a staff that had been broken in two, like someone would break a twig.
The voices told him that this was the mighty Staff of Trogdor! and then tasked him with having it repaired, as it would be needed for his destiny to be complete. gathering all the pieces he could find, he managed to tie the two major ones together using a piece of leather and now was able to wield the weapon of his god.
The voices then told him that it was time to begin his ascension. To do this, however, he would need several items that were located within an ancient place of power: A mausoleum that was abandoned by the followers of dread Orcus. thus has he made his way to the three portal inn, telling all who ask that he is a simple adventurer.

Not quite done with him yet; mainly just posting here for a placeholder.
