Delia ignores the speakers, instead muttering the components to a detect magic spell while everyone is distracted. She was at this festival, despite her strong distaste for people, because the crow had told her to be here, and so far it had made good on its promise; she had acquired power and was becoming stronger still. But the little beast was never too direct with its guidance. No, it made her work for it. So now, while everyone else listens to the prestigious townsfolk prattle on, Delia browses the wares of the various vendors for some seemingly innocuous trinket overlooked by a less perceptive eye.
well i haven't read the book or played it before so i don't know how it's supposed to start, but i imagine everyone is looking for more to go on. even with two of the higher perception checks i'm still kind of lost which is why my checks are just attempts to gather information (and i'm not good at much else). also, we all heard the screams so i don't think anyone's excited to head toward the voice.
is everyone still with us?

Suspicious and distrustful, Delia peers into the mist unable to focus clearly on any of the shapes moving in the bedlam. "Who are you?" she demands of the disembodied voice. "What do you want?" Meanwhile she wracks her brain for any explanation to this phenomenon. Rolls:
