I think at this level you'd spend the gold under the assumption my services would more than make it back in the very next fight. Rav, I'm hesitant to grab neutralize or remove poison, but I might grab Death Ward later.

Dazl summons another charge of dominance to stun the remaining former angel.
I see the confusion; the issue is that I don't look at the original books for the traits, I look at d20pfsrd. And for copyright reasons d20pfsrd whitewashes all setting detail out; specific gods, specific places, etc. Makes traits much more general/ Dazl's alignment is LN, should say so on his profile. I'll swap the trait.
Some traits explicit describe their bonuses as trait bonuses, some do not. These do not, and come from different trait categories. Didn't we have this discussion with Magical Lineage, and we disallowed the combo not because they were similar but because of your power concerns? If not, sorry I forget.

I have two traits which each add +1 to the dc. This game is proving quite useful at worming out a few areas of the rules where my knowledge is shaky. Never realized Shield Other wasn't a two-way connection.
Damage coursing through him, Dazl once more summons his domineering stance. "Power is no-power, no-power is power! Between, walks the twilight!"
Taking a breath as pain shudders through him, Dazl steps forward and presses a hand against the dwarf's back. "By the light of the twilight, be healed!" A wave of pink energy washes over him. He stares at the angel in front of him and summons his aura of domination. "Rethink your choice, fallen one!"
My bad, thought the angels had acted. By the way GM, I think this is a prime example of where I'd use Misfortune and have Siggurt re-roll his save.
"Divide and destroy!" The priest raises his shield and slams it into the ground, causing a wall of stone to rise up and trap one of the fallen angels. He jerkily moves forward towards the fight.

Dazl taps his shield, and a low pink light emanates from it.
Dazl slaps Siggurt on the shoulder. "The companionship joke! You already know the protection ritual I see."
From his half-crouched posture, the medicine man nods to each fo you. "Pleasure, pleasure to meet friend-faces in this jungle of decay." He shifts himself over to where Ravarel indicates. "Here, a poor soul lost? Ack, a harsh thing..." he bends over and draws a small symbol in the ground with his finger, pulling out and unstoppering a small vial and letting a few drips of blood fall onto the ground as he mutters a prayer. "...and twilight see you to your reward." "I, Dazle, am yes resolute to go with you, go face Kyuss. Let's go! The twilight-magics portent a fine journey for us." After the discussion is resolved, he moves over to the armored dwarf. "Newfriend Siggut, accept my blessing and its power?" He proffers a ring.
The man with the skeletal facepaint cocks his head to the side as if listening to someone close by. He nods to himself or to something, then looks up and grins widely at you all, remaining in his bentover half-crouched position. "Then I'm blessed! Ha, allies in cause! Praise the twilight!" He raises his shield up towards the sun and shakes it a little. "Dazl I am, priest of the twilight, man of the harming heal and healing heal. I came here seeking dread-Kyuss, rotten-Kyuss, destroyer-Kyss. And here I find allies as well! Truly a blessing from the twilight!" He cocks his head to the side again. "I leave now to face the Kyuss-taint in this place; see if my healharm can defeat him. But no twilight-priest is complete without allies and warriors! Join me, you?" |
