Howdy! I like Pathfinder gnomes. I like the cause of grandeur for Champions. Factor in Razzle Dazzle and a divine Energized Font, and I think we can have a pretty good time! Of the most common gnome gods, I’m most interested in Desna by far. As such, I’d like some help bringing all these factors together for a fun and flavorful build.
The main things I’m wondering about include: starting stats, choice of weapon(s), blessing of the devoted, and early-game class feats. I’m thinking about maybe going for a Dex-based switch-hit style with a starknife, or a Str-based ancestral style with a gnome weapon… but those are really the only ideas I have, and I’m not sure if they’re even actually decent :/
If anyone has some advice for a first timer regarding what I’ve discussed, please let me know! Thx :)
Howdy. Was inspired by what I read in Divine Mysteries to try out a Champion in the church of Desna, and I've been trying to think up a build that's both thematic to the faith and effective at doing what Champions are meant to do.
I know I want to go with the cause of grandeur or liberation, and I'd like to make use of that Acrobatics divine skill once I get some butterfly or azata wings, but beyond that, I'm not sure what I want to do. Do I want damage and defenses with Str/heavy armor, or reflexes and mobility with Dex/medium armor? Is Lay on Hands or Shields of the Spirit nicer to have? Are there any core ancestries that have some feats that synergize with the class (besides the universally useful human)?
Thanks a bunch to anyone who replies.
Howdy, folks. PF2e dabbler here, and I've finally got a chance to try the 1st edition of this great game! The group will be going with Kingmaker, and I'd like to play a Cleric of Desna from Issia. I've had the Core Rulebook for 1e since my middle school years, but I've never had a chance to actually build a character for this system.
I was wondering if anyone here had some suggestions about how to make a character like I have in mind that's both effective and fits nicely into the campaign world. I'm not looking for anything that's uber strong or super complex, just something thematic and fun.
If anyone has any suggestions about feats, archetypes or whatever that would fit well and help me out in the River Kingdoms, please let me know. Thanks :)
"Light in darkness" has been my go-to aesthetic in life since late elementary school, and I also value it from a spiritual perspective as well, treating it as sort of a mantra for who I want to be. I've decided to geek out and apply this theme to my next character: a shining hero-priest of night's light, and a devoted servant of the Song of the Spheres.
I've never played Champion in the remaster, however, and was wondering if folks here had some insights on how to give this fellow a solid foundation to build off of at lvl 1. Str or Dex? Grandeur or Liberation? Human, elf, gnome, or halfling? Maybe even a domain spell if Desna has one or two Champions might appreciate?
Thx to whoever takes time to reply :)

All I've got in terms of lore books right now are Divine Mysteries and a copy of Gods and Magic somewhere around here. So, DM lists off things like Abadar's priests serving as lawyers or bankers, Cayden's priests as sellswords or barkeepers, Gozreh's priests as wilderness guides, Shelyn's priests as barbers or tailors, etc. But all it has to say about a priest of Desna is... they go places... and sometimes those places are really far away.
Besides the fact that this doesn't provide much inspiration for what a priest might have done before becoming an adventurer, it only covers a single one of Desna's AoC's! Where are the astronomers and astrologers (Stars), the fortune-tellers and fortune-makers (Luck), or the visionaries and Freudian psychologists (except they actually like people... also Dreams)?
Is there any lore from older books, then, that might suggest other ways they serve the faithful and their neighbors beyond ritual and... walking?

What might be a good way to create a Desnan whose skills mostly reflect his deity's associations with dreams, imagination/creativity, and wonder?
Desna is the PF god that most appeals to me for a priest character, but while I love the night sky, I've only got a beginner's level experience with backyard astronomy, and no talent for navigation whatsoever. However, I do have training with psychology, and I mainly delved into subjects like the subconscious, religious experience, and positive psych. I know I don't need to have irl talent/skill with these subjects to make a compelling follower of the Song of Spheres, but when it comes to convincing roleplay, I'd just rather know that my character knows what they're talking about.
Wondering how best to go about building this character, as well as a good way to incorporate them into the Lost Omens setting. One thing that comes to mind is obviously a Cloistered Cleric who delves into the Dreams Domain, but I was also wondering about a religious Bard (maybe with Cleric/Champion archetype) since occult magic draws on the mind.
Thanks to anyone who replies.

According to the Character Guide (which I'm hoping is still valid in the remaster), glimmer gnomes are the gnomish "ethnicity" that became attuned to local magic of the divine tradition. They come from the chameleon, vivacious, and divine wellspring heritages, and according to the book, they're supposed to have an affinity for illusion and "reality-warping" forms of magic. Some can also randomly vanish and reappear.
I want to play one of these, preferably using a divine spellcasting class, but I'm unsure of how to bring the lore/flavor to the mechanics/build. There aren't many divine spells with the illusion tag, and I'm unsure what even constitutes "reality-warping" magic. Even if I got that kind of magic from ancestry feats, those have prerequisites of arcane or occult innate spells, not divine (and now that I think about it, I don't think the divine wellspring heritage opens up any feats for gnomes besides Energized Font, but that works with all traditions). Unexpected Shift seems to be exactly what the part about them disappearing was describing, so at least there's that.
If anyone has some advice about how to best represent this at the table, it'd be much appreciated.

I was thinking about human, gnome, or halfling.
Howdy! It's been a while since I've played Pathfinder, but it looks like I might be getting a chance to try the remastered rules soon. I'm planning on creating a divine caster of Desna, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice here.
We only have the original 3 core books available (yes, I know there's AoN, but we'd like to just use the stuff we actually spent money on), so I'm looking at Cloistered Cleric alongside Faith Witch for my class. Not sure which to try, cuz I'm having trouble appraising the focus spells/deity spells and class feats, but both seem like they could be fun (I'm also only JUST NOW noticing that Clerics don't rely on Charisma anymore).
Also wondering about good ancestries. Like I said, only Player Core for PCs, so I'm thinking about grabbing a versatile heritage since we've got limits on choice. Any suggestions? I was thinking about an Angelkin or Musetouched Nephilim to represent Elysium ancestry, but I don't know.
Any and all help is appreciated :)
I'm also interested in building up the theme of a nocturnal wanderer or a moonlit mischief-maker. Someone who either has a compulsion to seek out places of beauty in the night and fights to protect those who fear the dark, or someone who experiences the madness of the moon, feeling it pull on their mind like the tides, but who channels it in more positive ways, whether it be in the hunting of evildoers or the offering of strange spiritual guidance.

What are you looking to get out of being divine? Has the party asked for that, or is it just your own preference?
Oracles are divine casters, but rarely ever agents of specific gods.
I have barely one session of Kingmaker under my belt from over a year ago... and that's it lol.
I want to heal and buff the party, get a theme like those provided by domains, mysteries and inquisitions, serve as a source of religious and spiritual info, and RP as someone who receives power and magic from their faith and relationship with the numinous.
Do they not? The material I've found on the wiki talks about Oracles devoted to deities like Lamashtu, Pharasma, and various demigods.
I just got accepted into my first PF1e AP, Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition, and I would like to be the divine caster of the party. I am looking at Cleric, Oracle, and Inquisitor for my class, elf, human, and aasimar for my race, and Desna and Ashava for my deity.
I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice on where to go from here? I'd like to build a character that can really fit the region of Varisia, and could maybe have a few more RP opportunities in the campaign.
Any advice would be appreciated :)
I found some suggestions about archer Clerics in Tark's Big Holy Book in the Guide to the Guides. Is that guide still reliable, or would it be considered out of date?
I think my heart is starting to get set on Cleric right now (I spent $50 on the Core Rulebook for 1e about 10 years ago trying to get my friends at middle school into TTRPG's, so I feel like I ought to use a class from it), and the GM has said they aren't doing homebrew rules about requirements, so I can't go with Hinterlander unless I choose Erastil.
Is there any way to justify a Ketephys Cleric who doesn't use his longbow much, if at all? The lore says that people who choose to enter Ketephys's church get a bow as soon as they are initiated, and that more experienced priests are actually the ones who tend to train elven communities in archery.
I've decided that, for my first character, I'd like to make a Cleric of Ketephys the Hunter, elven god of the moonlit forest. I've been reading through my copy of Faiths of Golarion, and it talks a lot about the focus of his official priests on both magic and archery, so I'd like some assistance with building a longbow using half-elf Cleric, if anyone has any ideas for that.
I need to say, we aren't working with Elephant in the Room, so we do have feat taxes. I don't know if that will significantly impact this build concept, but if it does, I might be more interested in a purely magic-focused Cleric (if that makes sense in terms of Ketephys lore), a longbow Warpriest, or maybe even a Lunar Oracle who works outside of the official church.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas they could share, please do :)

Or a +4 Stealth bonus in jungle terrain, but I'd personally go with Darkvision.
Fey Thoughts if you have $#!+ for class skills.
You could be a Half-Elf from Cheliax, part of the noble family Narikopolus, before answering the call of Kyonin... pick a class with bow proficiency or proficiency with Ketephys' favored weapon, or give up Adaptability for Ancestral Arms/Weapon Familiarity. Take Ketephys' Favored Prey religion trait and the Child of the Moon magic trait. Start with the Noble Scion of Cheliax (Narikopolus) feat, later take Deific Obedience and Diverse Obedience to get Ketephys' Sentinel boons. Obviously having both Darkvision and Low-light Vision helps with archery at night, and having Track would go really well with your Favored Prey trait.
I appreciate the ideas! I think I'd prefer a half-elf character from the region of Erages, though, after learning more about the environment and culture of Kyonin. Either that, or an elven aasimar from Iadara.
Also, just was told to keep my focus on a non-elf race for my character. Almost the majority of characters on the server are pure-blooded elves, and the admins are wanting to keep a fair amount of racial variety among the adventurers, so elves are banned until further notice.
Half-elves and races that could have the fluff of an elf but not the traits, like aasimar, are still allowed.
Also, I don't plan on multiclassing, so if I go with half-elf, what's something worth replacing Multitalented with?
VoodistMonk wrote: Demonic Tiefling tied to Tanglebrair influence? Like a bad guy? Something like a Blight Druid or Rot Warden Druid would thematically fit with Treerazor's spreading corruption. Not really a bad guy. More like someone who's fighting against the forces that spawned him.

My current inclination in terms of races is elves and half-elves (obviously), but I'm also inclined to pure or azata-blooded aasimar, demonic tiefling tied to Tanglebriar influence, or a skinwalker of some sort, though I have no idea what types of werecreatures have a presence in Kyonin's forests or the Shining Kingdoms in general.
In regards to deities, I'd like to go for Ketephys if I play a native to Kyonin, focusing less on his aspect as a hunter and survivalist and more on his aspect as a patron of faith-based creation care and as nightly protector of the forest. Ashava is also in my sights, particularly if I were to go for a Forlorn elf or a half-elf raised by one of the Forlorn in a Varisian household, though I don't really know what would attract a devotee of the True Spark to Kyonin in this context, especially if they're coming all the way from the Lost Coast. I also thought about a Lunar Oracle from the Mordant Spire who is tied to the echoes of Acavna, but again, other than having elf blood, I don't know why they would want to come to Kyonin for this investigation. Lastly, Tsukiyo and Tanagaar seem cool, but I don't think I feel like playing things very lawfully.

Hey, newbie to Pathfinder 1e here. I recently got accepted into a living world campaign with a focus on Kyonin in Golarion, and I'm trying to make my first ever character for this setting and system. I was wanting to know if anyone here could give me suggestions on what races, classes, and prestige classes I should check out for this series of adventures.
The core of the living world is Siavenian, a town in Kyonin that was basically forgotten about by Paizo after the Second Darkness AP. It is home to a long-defunct aiudara that has mysteriously come online once more, and seems to randomly connect to various elf gates scattered throughout the planet. The overarching plot is about investigating what it causing the gate's strange behavior, which has attracted the attention of many people from outside Kyonin (so you don't necessarily HAVE to be tied to elven culture, but I think I'd like to be), as well as monitoring the influence of the dark forces in Tanglebriar, which seem to have a connection to recent events.
The rules are: stats are based on a point array, using 18, 16, 16, 14, 14, and 12 as your stats, and put in any order. No starting stat can go above 18 at character creation, even with racial bonuses, and no more than two 18's are allowed at character creation. Each character begins with 500 gp, maximum HP for their class (I don't yet know what that means), is awarded max HP for their HD for each level up, and starts at level 2. Prestige classes can't be taken until lvl 11. 2 traits are allowed, but no drawbacks. The Background Skill system is also being utilized.
The character concept I have at the moment is of a person completely enamored by the glory and transcendence of the divine, devoting their time to contemplative prayer and mystical practices in their god's domain. They came to their faith under the light of the moon, and they pledge to keep the night safe for all. They are a pastoral figure for some and an esoteric oddball to others, but either way, they will not stand for any display of evil in their presence. As such, I'm quite interested in the divine classes, which I believe also include the likes of Druids and Rangers in this system.
I know this is a lot of word vomit, but if anyone can help me figure out how to start and where to go from there, I'd sincerely appreciate it.

I'm currently in the process of creating an azata-blooded aasimar Cleric in service to Ashava for my first campaign in the world of Golarion. I've only got access to LO: Gods and Magic and the Ashava article on the wiki, so I was wondering if more knowledgeable people here could provide me with supplementary info that would help me to RP a Cleric of this demigod better.
I'm mainly concerned with these questions: What practices and ministries do Ashava Clerics engage in, besides the eradication of will-o'-wisps? What races and cultures, besides Varisian humans, tend to be inclined to her mystery cult? As a deific azata, what particular expression of freedom and wonder does she embody (like lyrakiens representing free travel)? And how does Ashava handle non-ghost undead?
Thanks to any who respond :)

I've chosen to enter the vaults as a Cloistered Cleric of Ashava, preparing to bring low the will-o'-wisps that may be lurking about.
I was wanting to know a few things from the folks here: What ancestries and heritages (besides the obvious aasimar) would fit for a worshipper of the moonlit True Spark? What feats should I look into collecting, both in terms of optimization and flavor? What domain should I start with?
Any replies are very appreciated.

We wound up with both a Cleric and a Champion of Ashava in Abomination Vaults, and I thought it would be nice to come up with a set of boons and curses to employ in the campaign. I'm not particularly good at homebrew, and I'm not sure what makes the most thematic sense for intercessions from the True Spark.
If anyone has any ideas they could share with me, I'd absolutely love to hear them.
I'm split between choosing to go with a human/elf aasimar Cleric of Ashava or a kitsune Cleric of Tsukiyo for this campaign. Which concept seems like it might offer the better tools, or even a better connection to the narrative of the AP?
Just bought Gods and Magic for my first personal book, and I've already fallen in love with Tsukiyo. He's mysterious, he's tragic yet kind, he's lunar, he's patron to the misunderstood and maligned, he's got a weirdly specific concern with a type of stone. I'm more of a neutral or chaotic guy, but Tsukiyo honestly made me consider lawfulness for the first time in a TTRPG.
I want to create a Cleric for this shy god, someone who will spread the good word of the moon and be a voice for those deemed "lunatics." I'd like to figure out what things I need to figure out for a first level build, especially if I'm going Cloistered, and what some ancestries and personalities/quirks might be particularly fitting for a servant of the master of moonlight and delusion?
Also, maybe the conversion inquisition.
VoodistMonk wrote: Tsukiyo's Longspear is a lot easier to work with than Ashava's Bladed Scarf. With the reach, and the Skinwalker FCB, I could see an Intimidate/melee build being feasible. Combat Reflexes, Power Attack, Hurtful, and Cornugon Smash is probably better action economy than Dazzling Display... although the area effect of Dazzling Display is nice.
Which aechetype(s) and Domain/Inquisition are you thinking about using?
Was thinking about Ravener Hunter (for Lunar Mystery abilities) and/or Sanctified Slayer, with a minor interest in Umbral Stalker. I was also thinking about the Madness Domain in the case of Tsukiyo, to boost its power if I go Evangelist, or Revelry Subdomain for Ashava.
JiCi wrote: Well, for starters, it would be good to know which subrace you plan to use. That alone can direct you to a melee or a ranged build. I'm actually not sure. I was considering base, werewolf, werebear, or wereraptor.
I've grown especially fond of the abilities and lore of the Inquisitor class the more I've read about NPC characters. Also, the Skinwalker race was one of the first races I ever discovered for Pathfinder, so I really want these two to work together in a character build.
I want to figure out a way to make the abilities of my race compliment my class, and I was hoping this forum could help me figure out a good build concept.
I plan to play this as either an archer caster, or a more melee oriented character, but I'm not sure if the favored weapons of the deities I'm interested in (Ashava or Tsukiyo) are any good, or if natural weapons are in any way useful for an Inquisitor.
If anyone could give me some advice and help me settle this, I'd really appreciate it :)
The Inquisitor class matches the vision I've hard for years of the kind of character I've wanted to play ever since I first learned about TTRPG's, so I want this to be my first class for this system.
The Skinwalker race also matches that original idea I had, nearly to a T, so that's the race I'm planning to go with. I want to go with a heritage that compliments the abilities of the Inquisitor the best, though, and I'm not sure which that is.

Mark Hoover 330 wrote: How often do you think Undead are going to come up in this here campaign? Ashavic Dancer is a PrC based on the god you want and would pair decently with Evangelist. L1 through 6 your role is to manage the melee combat line while also using Perform: Oratory to deliver sermons and give summoned creatures Inspire Courage, though you'd lose one of those 2 domains you want. Still, by the time you hit 6 ranks in Perform (Dance) which you could be taking simultaneously with Perform (Oratory), you qualify for the PrC that gives you all kinds of anti-undead performances. You get 2 rounds/level of Ashavic Performance in the PrC and can use rounds of other Bardic Performance for more rounds... which you've picked up through levels of Evangelist.
Then again, this really only works well if you're planning on going up against a lot of undead over time.
This is a fey and wilderness oriented campaign, so I don't think undead will be showing up too much.
And as for the stats, those are my base rolls. Haven't added racial boosts, yet.
It might also be worth mentioning that my stat rolls are pretty meh: 15, 14, 13, 13, 12, 10. Can't afford to get too MAD.

Mark Hoover 330 wrote: You could play a reach cleric, that's cool, but you're a werewolfkin. You're starting out with +2 Perception, decent Con and Wis, and 3 natural weapon attacks. You get Magic Fang 1/day. All of this leads me to believe you want to be able to hold the frontline. Perhaps take a deity that grants Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat, pick up Feral Combat Training at L1 and then perhaps look at some of the Unarmed Attack style feat chains out there. Maybe even dip a couple levels into U-Monk? I have to admit, I'm really wanting this character's deity to be Ashava. I just love her dark and spooky themes, while still being a good aligned deity. Plus, I love the spells the Moon subdomain offers.
And while I also want the character to be a Witchwolf, I'm willing to go for another breed of Skinwalker if natural attacks aren't going to work all that well for a Cleric (unless I can use magic fang on our Summoner's monsters and eidolon).
Even though I'm 95% set on Cleric, I am willing to take a class that's better at melee if I really ought to for this group... as long as it has some clerical abilities. Warpriest, maybe?
After a long, looooong time, I've finally figured out the class I want to play: akin to the class I started with in 5e, my first character in Pathfinder shall be a Cleric.
The race is planned to be Werewolf-kin, deity is Ashava, domains would be Revelry and Darkness/Moon, a trait that could add Perception to my class skills, maybe variant channeling for Moonlight, and... not sure about the rest. The group I'm in consists of two PC's focused on blasting, and 1 focused on summoning and battlefield control. We need a supporter/healer, and maybe a martial battler, and I was wondering which is more important (or optimal) for a Cleric to focus on. Ideally, I'd like to do some of both, especially since werewolf-kin gets a free magic fang, but I've heard it's better for a Cleric to focus on one or the other.
If anyone could advise me on which role to specialize in, or what archetypes to look at, I'd really appreciate it.
I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to figure out what I want to be for my first character. Probably too much time. But after a lot of thinking (and asking too many questions here), I realize that, at the very least, I want to be playing a werewolf-kin skinwalker. It just feels right, especially after I found out many live in a place coincidentally called Darkmoon Vale.
So, basically, I just want to know what some of the good, complimentary divine classes for this specific heritage might be. I’m especially interested in playing up the moon theme, such as by being an Ashava worshipper, so if anyone has any thoughts, please let me know.

Mysterious Stranger wrote: What alignment are you planning on playing? If you are playing an evil character and will be fighting a lot of good opponents trading out the tieflings fiendish sorcery and spell like ability for smite good once a day could be very useful. Your other alternative would be to trade them for Soul Seer and be able to use death watch at will. Prehensile Tail is not really that useful and is the only other alternative for fiendish sorcery, but it would allow you to take Claw or Maw if you are going for a natural weapon build. An extra attack is always useful especially at low level.
Tiefling also gives you 5 points of cold, electricity and fire resistance and a +2 to disable device and perception. Disable device is trained only so will probably not come up, but a +2 perception is always good. You can take the Unscathed trait to get an extra +2 points on each resistance for a total of 7 points. Going Tiefling also opens up the feat Armor of the pit for a +2 natural armor bonus.
The big downside of a pitborn tiefling is the penalty to INT. That is going to limit your out of combat ability a bit. The good news is that Oracles do get 4 skill points per level and you can put your favored class bonus into skills to bring that back up to 4 points per level. The other drawback for the tiefling is you cannot use your favored class bonus to gain extra spells known like the other two races.
Going Human is going to give you an extra feat at 1st level, but due to not having a +1 BAB you will not qualify for a lot of combat feats. Depending on what your build is that may not be an issue. Human will give you an extra skill point and if you put your favored class bonus into skills you will be getting 6 per level so will have pretty decent out of combat ability. The drawback for human is no Darkvision. Human also gives you the option of trading away your extra feat and extra skill point per level for a +2 in two abilities.
Half Orc allows you to get a +2 luck bonus to saves which is very good....
Thank you very much for the pros and cons of each race.
The GM has asked us to play good-aligned characters, with my planned alignment being Chaotic Good. The general idea I was wanting to go for was inspired by Bastards of Golarion, with a character that has a good heart and a desire to help people, but whose nature and powers end up leaving people feeling generally distrustful or afraid of them.
As for build, I was wanting to go with a natural-attacker/buffer as I've seen that recommended for the Lunar Mystery on the Oracle guides, and I'm too much of an uncreative noob to try and figure out a different build layout. I'm open to anything, though.
My group has been showing off their finalized builds for our Kingmaker campaign (Summoner, Kineticist and Hunter), while I'm over here being indecisive as heck about what I should be doing. We rolled our stats, and everyone else got really lucky except for me, with my highest base stat being a 15 compared to multiple 16's and 17's, so I'm really unsure about how best to proceed without dragging the team down.
My character concept was a Lunar Oracle that tends towards more savage and wild displays of power, so I figured a melee casting build would be the best way to bring that to life. I've settled on three races that feel like they could give me the stuff I need: human (for the sweet extra feat), half-orc (for the Sacred Tattoo/Fate's Favored combo), and pitborn tiefling (for the boost to both Str and Cha). In the eyes of more experienced players, which of these 3 might help me out more in the long run, or at least help me not suck lol?

Just happened to find the Bestiary in a book store one day. Went online and looked up more about it, and have been interested ever since.
That was like 5 years ago, though, and I'm only just now getting to try my first campaign lol.
Channeling the mysteries of the cosmos is cool. Werewolves and other lycanthropes are cool. What could be better than fusing those two together into one powerful raving lunatic?
My group has settled on their final characters for our upcoming campaign, and no one went with a martial class. I have read in various guides and posts that the Lunar Oracle can actually do a pretty good job in a melee role with their natural weapons and buffs, so I figured that maybe I should try to pursue that route.
I'm a complete noob to Pathfinder, so while I can assume that I'd want to focus on Strength and Charisma in my stat spread, I have 0 clue about what else I ought to do. How do I properly turn a primary spellcaster into a tooth and claw berserker who also likes to work with benighted magic? What archetypes do I look into (I've heard Hermit is good, but I'm not sure how Fade from Memory helps)? Any help would be appreciated.
New player here, who finally has a chance to play a Lunar Oracle after 5 years of wanting to try this game, and I want to make this character as beastly and moony as possible.
And I've got no idea where to start.
I know about the lycanthropy oracle curse, the Gift of Horn and Claw, the Child of the Moon trait, and the skinwalker/beastkin race. I feel like this is a good starting point for what I want to make, but I'm not sure what else I can do to optimize it/bring it to life.
I'm also curious about whether or not Gift of Horn and Claw is actually any good for a caster class. I really want to go ham on some baddies with fangs and claws, but I'm not sure how to make it work.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
My 5e DM is introducing us to Pathfinder 1e with Kingmaker. After wrestling with the idea of a more fey-focused approach, I eventually settled on going with a Lunar Mystery Oracle... and I've come to realize I have no idea where to start writing this character's history.
I don't know if there are any lycanthropic or moon-worshipping communities in the River Kingdoms or Brevoy where this dude could have come from, or what gods associated with the Lunar Mystery he might follow that make sense for the region (other than Desna, but I'm not sure why she's associated with it when she's not a moon or beast deity). There's also an issue with what races that live in these regions make the most sense for this character concept, besides the ever-present human. Any ideas?
Putting together my first character, and I'm wanting to figure out what might be a decently optimal build for the Lunar Oracle. I seem to see an option for a melee spellcaster build with the werebeast teeth and claws, so I might want to invest in both Str and Cha, but beyond that, I have no idea how to start things off.
Does anyone here have any ideas? What revelations or feats should I pick first, or what races might I want to look into? Is there anything else I need to take into account, like traits or archetypes?
My 5e DM is introducing us to Pathfinder 1e with Kingmaker, and for some reason we ended up deciding on all making night-themed characters for the party. I settled on going with a Lunar Mystery Oracle... and I've come to realize I have no idea where to start writing this character's history.
Any ideas?
I should also note that I planned on applying the Hermit archetype, so if there are any remote locations in Brevoy where this kid could have gained this particular Mystery, I'd love to hear about them.
Is there any relationship between the Monad and the Outer Gods? The Monad is supposed to be both inside and outside the multiverse, and I think it’s been said that the OG’s are also outside of it. Is the Big M one of them, or is it something greater/lesser than them?
Sorry for another obscure lore question, but what happens to the fetchlings who disappear during Lacrimosas on the Shadow Plane? I was thinking about playing a Brightsorrow fetchling described in the Ancestry Guide, so I was wanting to know. Do they go somewhere else, and do they have any memory of where they went?
Sorry if this too obscure of a lore question, but are there any places on Golarion where the Eldest have common worship? Like, would the Green Mother or other Eldest revered in a place like the Verduran Forest, or Count Ranalc in Shadow Absalom/Beacon?
Again, sorry if this is obscure, but these guys really interested me in Gods and Magic.
Newbie here looking to try Agents of Edgewatch if possible. My guy for the game is a Fetchling Cleric. I'm fine with audio or PBP. My time zone is [US] Eastern Standard Time, and I'm available after 6 PM every day except Monday and Sunday. Thanks for considering me.
We've got a fey-themed campaign coming up soon, and I figured I'd build a Cleric who works for a fey lord, with Ranalc seeming like the most interesting for me.
I've never played Pathfinder before, so I'm not quite sure how I might want to build a good Cleric [other than pumping up Wisdom and Charisma], so I'd love to hear whatever feats or archetypes might be good to look for in the the first level or 2.
Also, I'd appreciate if anyone has advice on how to actually RP this character, or what ancestry might make thematic sense.

I couldn't really prove otherwise, especially when the Cleric archetype explicitly says that you are an ordained priest of your deity.
This was something that came up during the session 0 for my group's upcoming 1st Pathfinder campaign. On Golarion, is a Cleric always going to be an ordained priest, officially trained in the ways of their deity's church, or can they be self-taught, gifted by their deity simply because of their intense devotion and prayer?
