I am so sorry for my absence and for what I have to do next. Due to my serious lack of time due to my new job, I will be pulling myself out of this game and all other games until I can find the proper balance between life and work and gaming. I currently work 12 hour days driving and need enough sleep not to nod off at the wheel which gives me about 2 hours of free time a day and my wife and child come before RP happy fun time. I feel that it is not fair to the rest of you for me to half a$$ my way though the game just to be a presence. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that I cannot continue this through completion because I had an amazing time with you guys. I hope I can RP with you all again in the future (hopefully the near future) and wish you all the best.

Blake blinks in awe. He stares for a few moments before rising to his feet. Then, without a word he turns his back and walks off. A few minutes pass and the small statured Earp comes out of one of the complex entrances at their level to greet them.

Seriously? Doc... Your side arm? You were stuck ta that thing like a chinamen to an opium den, dumbfounded look an all.

Blake screws up his face at the strange saying, the words feeling foreign (pardon the pun) in his mouth.

Ahem... Anyway, I never expected YOU of all people ta give up Daisy. Hell, you would gamble away your own grandmother before you even THOUGHT of puttin your pistol on the table. Well, at least not unless you were for sure ta win, and even THEN!

Blake moves up to Lee and extends an out stretched hand to let him rest it in his palm. The balance of the thing was incredible, the condition: Immaculate. He spun it in his hand a few times getting a feel for it. He then pulled out his other pistol spinning them together.

As Blake begins to reach for his pistol at the approach of the two, the flood of memories assails him, and he is momentarily stunned by the onslaught of images. A full lifetime fills his mind as he feels his head near exploding. He teeters on his heels a moment as he leans a hand on the boulder for support. As Blake begins to get his wits about him, he slowly opens his eyes to peer once again down to the two of them. He then quickly draws and sends a shot an inch from the spectral foot of Doc Holliday with an angry scowl.

You pug faced pi$$ eatin' s#1t!!! Why the HELL did I have ta find out TWO MONTHS LATE that you died!!!

Blake blinked a few times in confusion. He then took his pistol and struck himself in the side of the head as if jostling his brain straight. Shaking his head he looks at the two again.

He clears his throat and focuses on the two yet again, this time sitting on the ledge, elbows on his knees and his pistol still in his hand. The look on his face was one of defeat. This is the second time in a week he was struck speechless. Seriously though... What the hell do you say to a 130 year old ghost that you could have sworn you were best chums while only being in your late twenties IN THE PRESENT. He opened his mouth once... twice... three times... (Much akin to a fish out of water) Then jus grunted in exhasperation placing his chin to rest on his palm and the gun pressed a bit awkwardly against the side of his face looking down at them.

Blake surveys the area wondering if any of these boulders could possibly be rolled onto enemies in the event they have to fall back if their position is overrun.

Blake spends the next few days focusing on the internal defenses rather than the perimeter. His knowledge and expertise was in marksmanship. While one would think that such knowledge would be best spent working on ways to pick off enemies from a distance, there was no telling where the enemies would be coming from and thus waste his efforts spread too thin on several fronts. In the complex, he selected choke points and blind turns to focus his time on, utilizing the terrain as best he can to make sure to dwindle the numbers of their adversaries as far as they all could.

The group lands back in Pandora's Box after the teleport where Blake immediatey breaks the physical contact.

Oh... I see how it is. Only when we are in imminent danger of dismemberment and disembowelment do you listen to the voice of sound reason. Well, I am not gonna say I told ya so. Besides. We got some prep work ta do.

With that he spun around not waiting for any reply from the group and started off. Instead heading to do the prep like he had suggested though, he made a b-line for the mess hall. He HAD been interrupted during a meal to go to the tower after all...

Blake took careful aim at the creatures coming down his hall way when he caught sight of the three in the opposite hallway. He cursed under his breath taking a count of the approaching enemies.

B@!!s. This doesn't look good. I suggest we rethink our earlier talk of leaving this shit hole and coming back at a later date. Three of those porcupine b@$#@%ds I think we could take on okay, but we got six of those s#!ts out there. I would rather we ALL get through this with limbs intact.

As he spoke, he lowers his weapon and removes a pair of bullets from the revolver, replacing them with 1 silver bullet (1st chamber) and 1 adamantine bullet (2nd chamber) as a test to see if either of the bullets would help against the walking pin cushions. He lines up his revolver again with his original target and readies to fire the moment they notice the group.

A dark figure is seen darting back to the FO's position as the small Blake makes an appearance once more. His eyes are locked on the three coming down the hallway he was investigating. Instead of stopping at the front of the group he moves directly back to the stairwell they had just come up. Reaching the entrance to the hall he spins on his heels toward the group.

Stealth while running if they havn't already noticed him: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

I dont know what a barbed devil is, but I suggest we take 'em on in more favorable terrain. You say they are a b!%!! in melee, so lets bottle neck the bastards so we only have to deal with a smaller number of the b@$%@&ds at a time. Heavy hitters up front and everyone else supporting from behind. We need to do this fast, MOVE!

Blake waits for the group at the split and moves to the bulk of the group. The sick feeling in his gut is hard to see reflected in his features due to his near permanent scowl. Blake leans on the corner that breaks the hallway north and east in a nonchalant stance and arms crossed. To those more versed in combat, the sverfneblin chose this particular spot for a reason. A single step would take place the gunslinger behind the cover of that particular corner if something were to attack from either hallway. Blake knows it would be a bad day if they were attacked from both, but he would have to deal with that if it came. With the way today has been going though, Blake knew not to expect luck to be on their side. He eyed the group as they moved up the hall way toward him.

So which way? Left to our deaths? (He jerks his thumb toward the east hall way) Or right to our doom? (He swings his revolver to point toward the north hallway) Unless the big guys wanna take the direct approach and Juggernaut yer way straight through the walls ta that infernal humming noi....

Blake blinks astonished at the display. For once, the talkative deep gnome is struck speechless as the head of the snake creature "schlops" onto the ground in Derrik's wake. Making a mental note never to get on that one's bad side, Blake clears his throat and takes a deep breath, proceeding forward moving stealthily to scout out ahead hoping the Tengu is following in step.

Infact, I would change my whole action knowing that my first 5 range increments still hit touch. I would do a normal rapid shot action rather than Deadeye and Dead shot. Oh well, too late. Unless the GM allows me to redack my last entry, It stands, 3 grit and all. I will have to pay closer attention to these things. ^_^ This is my first Gunslinger so it is a learning experience. :D

YAY! MESSAGEBOARDS ARE WORKING AGAIN! Anyway, on the range increment of advanced firearms games, I am not sure. I didn't think there was a difference and I am checking up on it now.

A wizzing click echos away from Blake as he rolls the revolver's chamber across his leg before carefully leveling his pistol on the armed and "Armed" snake creature. The hammer pulls back on his revolver as Blake grins at the creature from behind the gun.

Clean will be using Deadly Aim (offering a -3 to hit) and spending 3 Grit for this round. Grit 1 to use "Deadeye" for increasing the range of hitting the touch AC resolution by 1 increment for his first shot (40' with a -2 to hit). Grit 2 to use "Up-Close and Deadly", adding 2d6 points of precision damage to his first shot. Grit 3 plus a full round action to use "Dead Shot" pooling all his potential (including Rapid Shot offering a -2 to hit) into a single shot.

Blake's ash colored face turns a bright shade of red as the words "Sniper Smurf" leave MJ's lips. With total disregard for the danger they are in and the enemies about, he spins his pistol with a blur of motion and grabs the barrel, finger still in the trigger guard, waving the butt of his gun menacingly at MJ.

Who the f#@k you jus call a smurf you son of an a$$ nugget! Im'ma shove my foot up your a$$ your next three generations are gonna be tastin the bottom of my boot.

If MJ is within 30', Clean will use the +2 to attack and AC from blessing of fervor. If more than 60', he will use the +30' movement from blessing of fervor. As an action, Clean will move up to the nearest empty space near MJ and get in his face. Well, his chest(stupid small man) and start yelling up at him, taking all the attacks of opportunity on the way. If he is hit within his first move, Clean will pistol whip the attacker that hit him using 1 grit for the Gunslinger Pistol-Whip maneuver.

If struck during angry stomp toward MJ: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
If Pistol-Whip Hits: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Blake's eyes focus more closely on the ogres as he walks slowly and methodically toward his allies (seeing as how he is no longer hidden. The one with the head wound seemed to have hit with tremendous force and Blake definitely didn't want it swinging that thing at any of his allies, or 'god' forbid, HIM!

I think you need to be put down.

First Shot: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
for: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21 points of damage
Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
for: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 points of damage
Second Shot: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
for: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21 points of damage

All shots are going at the hurt ogre. If it goes down, the remaining shots go to the other ogre. -2 for Rapid shot and -3 for Deadly Aim for a total of -5. Add 1 to hit and damage if they are within 30' and hits their touch for any within 20'. Also I don't know how far anything is since I am a bit separated from the group so please adjust my attacks accordingly.
