Daniel thinks for a second, "Well, I doubt the reason the sages failed was completely due to lack of leadership, but it is a solid argument. A strong leader is necessary most of the time, especially in a war situation." When she shifts into a dragon he takes a step back, eyes wide with fear.

After a few seconds, without being eaten, his heart returns to his chest. "Well uh, okay then. First dragon I've met that didn't want to eat me. That's a mark in your favor for sure."

He looks at his allies and shrugs, "Honestly, I'll toss my lot in with this lady. She seems to have a plan, and when in doubt, I'd rather someone like that have the final call on important things."

Daniel pulls his curative wand out, takes a deep breath and yanks the shard of glass out, the tries to mend up the wound.

With that settled, he shrugs at Tholgrin, "No worries friend dwarf, we are all mostly still in one piece." He moves along following the group as they head deeper into the complex.

Not a huge deal, 2 bleed at this point is more an annoyance than anything else, but I thought it was 1 bleed and I thought if I used the mythic power to absorb all the damage I wouldn't get bleed.

Daniel takes a step to the side to get a clear line of attack and then unleashes a flurry of arrows against the southern enemy. "Great work on the glass one, two more to go. Anyone figure out the riddle yet?"

With a surge of mythic power and a flash of red, the attack is deflected. The power shimmers around him and Daniel steps back and attempts to gain distance before carefully casting a spell. But... he was too careful and forgot to make the swish and flick motion just right.

Mythic Power burned to absorb up to 15 points with Absorb Blow which then gives him DR 1/epic & 5 resist to all for 1 minute. 5/9 Mythic uses remains.

5-ft step, Cast Defensively DC 17: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Gravity Bow but the Spell fizzles.

Absorb Blow:
Absorb Blow: As an immediate action, whenever you take hit point damage from a single source (such as a dragon's breath, a spell or a weapon), you can spend one use of mythic power to reduce the damage you take from that source by 15 points (to a minimum of 0 points damage taken). If you have another ability or effect that reduces damage (such as protection from energy), reduce the damage with the absorb blow ability before applying any other damage-reducing effects. For every 10 points of damage that this ability prevents, for one minute you gain DR 1/epic and 5 points of resistance against acid, cold, electricity, fire and sonic damage. The DR and resistances stack with any other DR and resistances that you have.

I think I've pieced it together so I'll take a shot.

Daniel moves up and places the amber gem in the correct shallow circular recesses in the floor arrayed before the huge jewel/crystal prison, "I'll try this first, if it doesn't work then maybe give a go at the statues."

I think some spoilers got added while I was writing up my post. I don't really know how to resolve my post since I was basing everything off the K: Nature spoiler and pure guesswork. I'll just wait and see how everyone else rolls and what they reveal.

Daniel yells, "WOAH! What the crap!!!"

As his adrenaline pumps and he reaches for his bow, he notices something odd and stops for a second, "Look at the lighting here, blue, green, yellow, and red. The colors gotta correspond with the gems. Ruby to Red, Yellow to Amber, Green to... Emerald? Blue is gotta be Sapphire. We do have the Amber gem and I bet these statues will take the right gem or there is a spot to put them, but where should it go!?! And after that I'm pretty sure we don't have all four gems, crappity crap I shoulda payed more attention in that magic theory class I never took."

He pulls the Amber gem and readies to rush over to give the correctly identified statue the gem, hoping to solve at least part of the riddle.

The power of the ruby shard bulks up the green warrior to massive levels, his muscles bulging and rippling he simply tears his way through the obstacle.

Daniel wards himself with the same protections from the elements on the second morning. And as this is a race, he again uses a point of shard power to grant himself extra speed for most of the day.

Cast Endure Elements on himself, Mythic Power burned to cast Longstrider for 8 hours.

Coming up upon the two human's camp, he easily notices where they are hiding and rushes after.

Deftly slipping through the mountainous trail, he shows just how dexterous half-orcs can be.

Daniel cast endure elements on himself. This post is when Thorek cast Endure Elements on the rest of the group, so five charges used today.

Daniel pulls extra arrows from his pack to replace the ones in his quiver that were used on the last two fights. He optimistically adds after the group heals up, "Let's push on, I think we're gaining on 'em."

But as time passes and the heat saps their energy he reconsiders stopping for the night. "Yeah good call, we don't want to catch them when they are fresh and we are exhausted. I'll take a spot on second watch." He uses the magic of a pearl to refresh his weapon enhancement spell and then crashes after a few bites of rations.

Daniel quickly buffs up his bow, making the arrows strike much harder, "I'll get out to the side, let's take this beast down!"

He dashes out to the left side of the group, trying to leave charging lanes open and clear shooting lines for his attacks.

Daniel moves ahead, scouting and following the trail. He notices an oddity about the tunnels and speaks up, "Hey, these seem to be naturally made tunnels by some large beast. Maybe a death worm or something similar? I hope we don't run across one while we are inside."

When the sun glares ahead he gives a toothy smile, "Ah, back to the surface!" Seeing and smelling the corpse he continues his commentary, "But ugh, that smell is raunchy. I'd hate to run across what killed it. Be careful though, scavengers can be dangerous and are likely around."

Daniel stands back, bow ready in case something bursts through the widening crack or tries to sneak up on them after hearing all the noise of battle. He shrugs at the news of the footprints and the vials, "Well, I guess it cost 'em a little bit but they got past these enemies with their little trick."

Daniel draws his wand of healing while moving over to Spackle's body and with a quick incantation the magic stored brings the halfling back to consciousness.

He watches Thorek dig the pack out of the hound's stomach and start going through the items. Shrugging as he also doesn't know Aklo he is happy to see the Inquisitor easily using magic to interpret the gold script. "Well I don't think we want to do that then, considering the person may have just summoned this critter that ate them. To bad about that guy too, but maybe at least one of them got away?"

When the dwarf locates the footsteps leading to the lower level he smiles, "Good, at least we have something to follow now."

Reading through the discussion on Paizo about these scenarios leads me to believe there may be a player handout for anyone who does not have the signed sheets from part 2.

I don't own these scenarios so can't check to see if that is the case. GM, do you know anything about that option and if it is available to a player who can't track down their Mythic sheets?

Daniel will happily soak up bit of luck for his manyshot attack each round. Spell wise, it is always great for a cleric to have options to handle debuffs. Stuff like remove fear, remove paralysis, etc... But we might be too far into the scenario to change things right now.

Thorek, if you ran those two scenarios you should have the two mythic powers sheets with them. I believe I got mine after finishing part 2 and then just kept them with all my chronicle sheets until I got this chance to play part 3.

With the akata falling to his attacks, the half orc shrugs and adds, "Well those hairless tentacled lion things things have a diseased bite but this one won't be a concern. Just don't stick your hand into the mouth to check the teeth."

After the halfling rushes over, Daniel unleashes a flurry of arrows against the target pointed out, "Got your back Weit!" Once the arrows are flying, he steps in close to the enemy to shelter the cleric a bit.

I completely agree with those tactics.

Daniel is fine with scouting, but scouting also means he will likely be up front. He does not enjoy fighting from the front, so odds are he'll be getting his butt back to the rear of the group if we engage anything. If it takes a round or two to get visibility going through fog, he'll just use that time to get a buff or two up.

He also has a spell or two if he gets the jump on his enemies that can put them in a disadvantaged position. We'll see if that comes into play.

Daniel is preparing his own Endure Elements, he won't need a use of the wand.

As they locate the hidden entrance, Daniel calls upon the power of the ruby shard to grant him a speed boost. He looks down into the darkness and at his allies, "Alright, I'll scout ahead. Anybody else who is sneaky is welcome to join me."

Just realized I don't have access to the spell 'deadeye's lore' due to not owning a copy of that book. But, I do have longstrider so that will be activated using one of my nine mythic power uses. May I take 10 for stealth and perception looking for dangers (traps/enemies)? If not, let me know! Maps are view only, do you want us to be able to edit to move our pieces around?

Daniel greets the two dwarfs and gnome with a hearty handshake, "Glad to have you aboard! Not needing to take horses and a cart full of water will let us go full speed or even quicker. I should be able to track them without issue, just keep an eye out for trouble as I do."

He adds, "Maybe we catch up quick and convince them to join up with the Society? Plenty of snakes have switched over in the past."

Planned Pursuit/Tracking. When the entrance point is found, Daniel will use 2 Mythic Powers to cast Deadeye's Lore & Longstrider. These will be at caster level 8 due to being Mythic Power use spells so that gives us 8 hours of full speed (40 ft move) tracking and a +4 on those checks. Let me know when any checks are necessary.

And here is the preformatted statblock made for new players. Just make a copy of the statblock, fill in your character's information and cut and paste it into the areas it says to use in your character's profile. Then it'll look all nice and schnazzy!

Daniel is a tall half-orc in mottled green clothing. He has a really nice bow slung over his back, a fancy looking pack and oddly enough... an eyepatch covering one eye. He taps his chin thinking as Amenopheus shares the briefing. He pulls small shard of ruby out and rubs it while listening, We'll get this figured out Mr. Shard and hopefully fix this whole mess.

He thinks for a bit and asks a few questions about where they are going and the dangers. Once Spackle and Amenopheus fill in what they know he quickly prepares to handle a difficult environment (Prepped and Cast Endure Elements).

He shares with his allies, "Okay, I'm more comfortable in the woods or up in an area a lot colder than this, but I can handle my duties. I've got a small connection to nature that grants me a few abilities. Anyway, I'm a good shot with my bow if we gotta take anyone out and am a pretty good tracker."

He looks at his waterskin, "Can any of summon water outta thin air or do we need to load a cart up with barrels of the stuff?"

He turns to Spackle with a gleam in his eye, "You know a lot about these two we are after, are they humans?"

Thorek, I had the same deal as you. Parts 1-2 are lvls 1-5 and Part 3 is only for lvls 3-7 so I wouldn't be surprised if more players are also missing part 3.
