that's fair. i keep forgetting to check this (paizo.com) and don't see that changing in the near future. sorry, everyone!

Dahn Long spends the evening drinking and celebrating their victories being sure to come up with a clever excuse whenever asked about the fight with the monstrous undead.

i believe Radrick was unarmed when he disarmed the creature, so the weapon would end up in his hands. that's why he said he dropped it "behind him," which, i believe, is still in his square.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Dahn Long shouts some quick instructions to his companions on how to make the most of an opening in their foe's defenses (swift action to grant Paired Opportunists with Tactician for 8 rounds) then steps behind Radrick (move action to G3) and focuses himself, becoming one with his gun (standard action to gain Improved Critical with his pistol).

Oops! I forgot the STR from my belt. Doubt it changes much, but I should have had +6. The cracked version doesn't affect ability checks, Radrick.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"Eh... not too bad. Smarts though," Danh Long says, rubbing his hand as he exits the arena. "Want to give it a go, Sol?" he asks the nagaji.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Danh Long watches Kurasu's performance, cringing slightly at each each failed attempt. Then he shrugs.

"I'll give it a go I guess," Dan Long says stepping up.

Using Blessing of Fervor's +2 attack, AC, and reflex saves this turn. Current AC: 25; T: 16; FF: 22; Current Reflex +15

Danh Long reaches down for his gun (move action), then takes a step back (5-ft step to S22) and fires a shot (standard action) at the opponent Sol is fighting (yellow).

Pistol vs. Touch AC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (8) + (1) + 11 = 20 nonlethal; using Focused Aim for +CHA mod damage (swift action); 2/3 Grit remaining

ah i figured i beat the DC by 5 or more and got more than one round of shaken. my mistake.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Seeing that their opponents are content to hang back and let him and his allies approach, Danh Long drops his nodachi (free action), takes a step up (5.ft step), draws his pistol, and unleashes a volley (full round action) at one of the humans (yellow).

1st Pistol Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20 vs touch AC
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (8) + (6) + 8 = 22 nonlethal

2nd Pistol Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 vs touch AC
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (1) + (4) + 8 = 13 nonlethal

3rd Pistol Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 vs touch AC
Pistol Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (8) + (1) + 8 = 17 nonlethal

If two or more hit, I'll make the swift action Performance check.

Performance Combat: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 +2 if all three hit.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Do they look shaken?

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Yikes! Glad I grabbed merciful as well then or this could have been a blood bath.

"Sol! Calm down, friend. We're not here to kill anyone, remember!" Danh Long whispers to the nagaji.

Hoping to shift attention away from the gruesome spectacle, he moves toward the center of the arena (move action to [T, 20]) and makes his own dazzling display (standard action), daring his foes to approach him as he draws his nodachi.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32

I'm going to hold off on granting Paired Opportunists with Tactician. I can only use it three times a day and it seems like we might be able to get by without it this fight. Either way it's a swift action to use, so if it seems like we need the edge a little later, I'll use it.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

So... a couple of things. Sol does nonlethal due to his merciful amulet of mighty fists, so that would need to be CON+2xHP damage to kill the target. Also, I'm counting 4 attack and damage rolls there, but Sol only has 3 natural attacks. The three top damage rolls total 109, so... I'm guessing that wouldn't actually be fatal unless I missed something?

Also, normally, you can stop attacking and forfeit the rest of your full attack at any time, so unless Sol intended to kill his first opponent in a rage, he should be able to simply refrain once his opponent falls if the damage of the attack that drops them doesn't kill them outright.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Dahn Long signs with the rest of Crashing Waves.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

also, i'm under the impression we sign in together as a team. or do we each have to turn in a sign in sheet with all of our team members names on it? if it's the former and it's one sheet per team, Danh Long isn't the responsible type so he wouldn't be the first to get that started.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

how much were drinks? i figure i had 4-6 over the course of the night.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Much later and considerably drunker, Danh Long heads to bed.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Dahn Long bids his teammates a good night, grabs his drink, and begins to wander around the noodle house looking for the loudest patrons. He figures those with the loudest mouths also have the loosest lips.

Taking 10 on Diplomacy (Gather Information) for a 13.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"I think I'm going to stay a bit longer. I'll ask around about the dragon," Danh Long says gesturing to the staff for another drink.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"Then we're fortunate that I do everything spectacularly, eh, friend?" Danh Long says to Radrick with a confident laugh. Then, to Chung Po, "I take it you've been to many of these. This is my first. How does the tournament usually proceed?"

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"Tran Danh Long," Danh Long says, extending a hand.

I'm confused. Is Chung Po not the guy from Taldor that's not entering the tournament?

"A master?" Danh Long sounds impressed. "It's an honor," he says with a bow.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"Good show!" Danh Long shouts, applauding. "Careful not to get too close to this guy in the tournament, folks!"

Then, looking around for a server, "Can I get another drink over here?!"

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

"Thank you for the offer, friend, but I wouldn't call myself a wrestler," Danh Long says, raising his hands in a gesture of innocence. He is about to volunteer one of his companions to redirect the attention from himself when Radrick and Sol both speak up to accept the challenge.

"Well, this should be entertaining," he laughs. "Can we move these tables?" He begins to call for people to make room.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

cool cool. no significant changes. just can't take a -4 on ranged to do non-lethal and i realized i could pretty easily knock myself out on a challenge full attack. wouldn't want to inadvertently kill someone with less health.

so if you had my damage numbers down somewhere, my ranged damage goes up 1d6 but is now non-lethal.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

also, in retrospect, can i change my reliable enchant to merciful. it seems best not to risk accidentally killing anyone if i target my own target.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

Dahn Long shrugs at the others and follows Kurasu, slapping a hand on the Tengu's shoulder and taking a seat next to him.

"Guess this one's not much of a talker," he says to his teammate. "That's fine with me!" He laughs and shoots the tiefling a lewd grin.

He gestures to someone for a drink and turns to the dwarves. "Tran Dahn Long," he says offering a hand to shake, "my friend here is Kurasu. You gentlemen and the lady here on a team together?"

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

can we drop the "The"? i think just "Crashing Waves" sounds better.

also, i just remembered the performance combat aspect thanks to Radrick's post so i was reading about it and i'm confused. it's a charisma check modified by our BAB or Performance ranks, so we add the modifier on the chart (based on BAB/ranks) and not our actual BAB or ranks in Performance, right?

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

yeah, i'm fine with whatever name you guys pick.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

oh i just had an idea. i don't really need enfilading fire. i grabbed it because i realized i was never going to use whatever i had before.

anyway, i can get paired opportunists in that spot and give it to everyone during combat. that way sol (and me when i melee) can benefit from the attacks of opportunity you guys generate for each other with outflank if we're all on the same target. mostly it helps you guys help sol do damage better increasing the overall teamwork synergy of the team.

edit: i meant to suggest broken wing gambit for you guys in place of paired opportunists if i take it to grant to everyone which i think i should. i need the help in melee more than at range.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

what about reposition? it'll help you and kurasa maintain a flank.

also, and this really isn't a huge deal to me because touch ac and sol is melee, but prone targets are harder to shoot.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

oh okay you were talking about martial flexibility specifically. i guess i get that, but to me it seems less like people are obsessed with martial flex and more like the system encourages specialization to the point that many tactical choices cease to be realistic options very quickly if they aren't your specialty. martial flex sort of fixes that and allows you to continue choosing your actions based on tactics rather than having to say "disarming (or whathaveyou) would be way better right now if i stood a chance at pulling it off, but i'm specced to trip, so i guess i'll do that."

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

not to be combative, but i'm not sure what things it's "getting around" here... it's just using the normal multiclassing rules.

Male Human Gunslinger 1/ Cavalier 10 | HP: 99/99 | AC: 23 T: 14 FF: 20 | CMD: 31 T: 28 | Fort/Ref/Will: +15/+13/+8 (+11 vs charm/compulsion effects) | Init: +6 | Perception: +19 | Sense Motive: +0 | Status: Blessing of Fervor (+2 Attack, +2 AC/Reflex)

actually, that was something they did during the playtest, but the final release didn't have that rule.

Parent Classes: Each one of the following classes lists two classes that it draws upon to form the basis of its theme. While a character can multiclass with these parent classes, this usually results in redundant abilities. Such abilities don’t stack unless specified. If a class feature allows the character to make a one-time choice (such as a bloodline), that choice must match similar choices made by the parent classes and vice-versa (such as selecting the same bloodline). The new classes presented here are all hybrids of two existing core or base classes.

could you deactivate cuatroespada from the campaign so Danh shows up at the top of my alias list please?

and that seems fine for a marching order.

yeah, i saw overwatch style and cover fire and thought it would be fun to do the thing with the aid bonuses...

looks like Dahn Long will be the better fit though since we need damage and Ji-Min doesn't really deal any.
