Liberty's Edge 2/5

It is true my level 8 paladin has much more wealth then a normal level 8 because when I first started playing my local gaming group were a few levels higher so I always ended playing up for 90% of the games. So if you compare him to a normal level 8 char he has better gear.

So far have run about 16 games. And I killed one player, a Staff Magus who was wounded from taking Aoo's after he ran through some undead. Then got crit by the evil cleric behind the undead who was using a heavy pick.

Oread- monk/martial artist. Bruce Lee of rock people.

I need more but can never seem to find time run games at GenCon to earn more.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

I would remove the rule that restricts the kinds of mounts a Paladin can use. Thus allowing him much more useful choices beyond a horse of camel.

Liberty's Edge

Ok so I am planning on running this for some friends and I need some help with the Heart the giant tendriculos. The bristles that are talked about say if someone attacks with natural weapons and or unarmed attacks have to make the reflex save to avoid the paralysis saves. Now that means when another character is hit by the monster with it's attack that it also must make the save or be paralyzed.

Is my thought correct here, that whenever a character is hit by the tendriculos attacks it must save vs paralysis?

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Ok first off I am sorry if this has been brought up to clarified already but I was not able to find any recent posts that give an answer to my question.

Now I have a Paladin 5/ ranger 2. I took 4 Levels in Paladin then level 5-6 in Ranger. Upon reaching level 7 I took my 5th level in paladin thus allowing me an animal companion, my level 7 feat was also boon companion which negates the rangers -3 ratio for animal companions.

Now in the core rule book it says all my paladin levels count towards effective druid levels for choosing a mount and with boon companion my ranger levels stack so I can choose a level 7 mount. I took a Large cat, since at level 7 it is now a large creature which is what the criteria is for a paladin to have it.

I just wanted to make sure this all seemed correct so when I show up at Gen Con with this character people are not call me a cheater or anything.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

As much as it saddens me a bit, I will follow the agreement of the Higher ups, I just hope that when some new rules do get clarified maybe animals with higher intel get some kinda added traits or really low Handle animal checks to do things.
And thank god Handle Animal is CHA based and as a pally that is not an issue for me.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

As with the other post about intel animals, Paladin mounts are not normal animals, they are magic beasts and even if you needed to make a handle animal check, the fact that they are intel 6 means that the check at least I would argue would be a DC so low or the roll would get such a bonus that only a 1 would fail.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

All I know is the mount starts of with an Intel of 6, so he is not a normal animal plus he is magically summoned as well, so thus, magic beast. And with an Intel of 6, when I say go attack orc from behind, it will be smart enough to go behind the orc and start attacking it. And even if I need to make a handle animal check, that is fine, I would argue with an Intel of 6 the dc of any check would be so low, that only a 1 would ever fail and only because a 1 has to fail.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Meh, too much problems with what it can do and cannot do, how smart it is, that is why Im a paladin, I lvl up to 5th lvl take two lvls in ranger then at 7th lvl I take 5th lvl of paladin, take Boon companion feat and bam I get a large kitty that is not gonna be used as a mount but an awesome killing machine. And it is a magical beast with an Intel of 6. So yeah it understands me pretty well when I speak to it.

"Kitty go flank bad guy"!
::kitty nods and goes and flanks bad guy::
