Nefreet, my copy of FoB says that the only LN god with an order of paladins is Abadar. So it's fine for Irori to have paladin agents. They just don't form the Blue Palm Corps.
And El Baron, I can see that, which is also nice for those people who want to play clerics of Apsu. (The text is clear that Apsu grants clerical powers solely to dragons.)
Re, Apsu not granting spells.
That's a complete error. Apsu grants spells. His domains are even listed in the Inner Sea World Guide (although there's an unfortunate error there)...
His domains granted area Artifice, Good, Law, Scalykind, and Travel.
In fact, the fact that Apsu can grant spells is one of the reasons I devoted one of the two new domains introduced in that book to Scalykind.
Apsu, in other words, grants spells SO HARD that I had to write new rules for granting spells.- James Jacobs

My aasimar is a Scourge of Iomedae, smiting undead whenever needed.
My kitsune is a golden furred bard who strikes enemies with crimson letters when not inspiring her allies.
My ifrits are twins, a sorcerer and oracle each, seeking to gain power to rival their noble ancestors.
I have two tieflings, but they were rolled after the boon-only restriction was dropped.

BigNorseWolf, we don't have to follow that section of the Faiths of Purity book. It's true for Golarion in general, but Pathfinder Society doesn't have to follow those restrictions.
And messageboard posts by Paizo staff (other than PFS campaign leadership) have never superseded published works.

Sure, TOZ. You're right. I brought up the tangent, and I apologize.

Sin, just a note, Faiths of Purity notes that Torag only allows dwarves as paladins. Cleric or Inquisitor, maybe? Warpriest?
I made the character before the book came out, and I saw that mostly everything having to do with Paladins was disallowed. Am I going to have to rebuild a 7th level character?

Sin, as El Baron pointed out, the Golarion background in FoB is not part of the Additional Resources, only the feats, spells, and so on. So, although your paladin of Torog violates Golarion lore, he's cool in Pathfinder Society. And I only chanced upon this when my own Paladin of Torag -- also predating FoB -- was called out by a GM.
I hope that someday Selkekith and Gennadi can adventure together and tell jokes about dwarfs.

I have a LG Human Cleric of Torag, who was my second PFS character and built in a hurry without a good knowledge of Golarion lore or the Pathfinder Rules. I'm in the process of planning a reworking of him using retraining, but one part I'll keep is that he wishes he was a Dwarf. Perhaps one day Sessel can join in the non-Dwarven Torag-worshipper adventures.

Back on topic, I'm leaning towards combining my Ifrit boon and my Thassilonian Magic boon to make either an Enchanter or an Illusionist while swapping Fire Affinity for Hypnotic. My first thought was Enchanter, but oddly, the Illusion school has more spells (Hypnotic Pattern and Rainbow Pattern) that fascinate creatures than the Enchantment School does (just Hypnotism), though the Charisma bonus would help an Enchanter more. Fortunately, neither Enchantment nor Illusion are opposition schools to each other, so I could pull spells from both. I have another boon that will help with the lack of an Int bonus (yeah, I like combining several boons onto one character). Anyway, I figure it might be something different from all the fire or initiative based Ifrit builds, and I don't really have a PFS character that relies on high DC spells. It's too bad the Desert Mirage alternate racial trait also replaces Fire Affinity. Mechanically, it's not so great, but it would fit in with the general direction the character concept is going.

Ashan Damocles, Aasimar (before they were open access), Cleric 2/Sorcerer1/MT1
Vati the Resurectionist, Nagaji Paladin of the Sacred Shielding Light. Fond of using Ultimate Mercy on every downed NPC of note. So far, she has raised 3 commoners, in one case reuniting a family from the very grave. She is also the Nest Mother of each group of pathfinders, and anyone who threatens her family (or any other) gets her full and undivided attention.
Some boons have been mailed off to areas with no boon support, and 3 more triple race boons are waiting to be used.

Kuro Poe, The World's Shortest Legendary Tengu Vagabond (12th level arcane duelist who uses Dazzling Display and Blistering Invective copiously whilst dancing with a adamantine elven curveblade.)
Nina Thoolis, Brunnmigi (Kitsune) Red-Moustachied World Traveler, Lover of Women and Magical Rogue (7th level ninja that can shape-change into a tiny fox and a 8-foot-tall brute with a cage on his head).
Rakim of House Darshuud, Ifrit Smithy of House Darshuud, and a Whisperer of Steel (metal oracle. Obeys whoever holds the Rod of Power [actually just a wand of hydraulic push] Also afraid of rain.)
I probably have an Undine coming who I'm hoping will become a Warpriest of Besmara. Been waiting to make a Pirate character for a while now.

Brother Justice, Ifrit, Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger)1/Paladin (Sacred Servant)1 [Next level will be Sacred Servant, then three levels of Fighter(Weapon Master)with Sacred Servant again for everything after.
Note: The last build is a group Gunslinger build that Several of us locals are doing together with our Ifrits.
Brother Vengeance swaps Sacred Servant for Divine Hunter and then goes back to Gunslinger after the fighter levels.
Brother Wrath also takes Divine Hunter, Skips the Fighter levels and goes straight into Sorcerer.

Tomoe Gozen, Kitsune Lotus Geisha, containing violence and enchanting people, currently practicing to mimic others.
One Kitsune boon hold back, thinking of a fey or slyvan sorcerer, possibly becoming a rogue or swashbuckler though. Moon oracle could also be interesting.
Ninja plans for an ifrit boon with smokebombs, firesight and many, many shuriken. This one would also search for a reliable way to incinerate smokesticks very fast.

Wladimir Krov - dhampir inquisitor/cleric of Pharasma. main weapon is a spiked chain that he uses for penance, as he loathes the undead. kinslayer archetype, trying to find his father (to murder him). dipped one level of cleric for negative channel, 'cos why not? terrible Russian accent.
Penny Dreadful - kitsune mysterious stranger. imagine a spoiled southern debutante, complete with terrible accent. she was adopted by an affluent Taldan family after they found her during a fox hunt. she was the fox.
gave away my Nagaji. was told he'd become a dragon disciple...
I'm still waiting on my PAX race boon so I can make my grippli named Buckmumble. inside joke with a friend of mine who had so much trouble with Cyphermage Dilemma that he made Mumbuckle his sworn enemy. for *all* of his characters.

EDIT: I dont really have this toon, but I do have a Fetchlng boon...

Regarding Paladins of Irori, well, there HAVE to be paladins, because there's an Irori specific prestige class that requires paladin (and monk) levels.
As far as race boons, I have a Kitsune boon and have been debating on creating an mature, heavy framed lady that uses a whip. No idea what build to use though, only that she'll probably insist everyone call her "mama". :)

Yes, that was pointed out in the other thread as well, which lead us to the conclusion that the "RP Gravy" from the Faiths of books wasn't enforceable in PFS.

Well, for the sake of my Paladin of Apsu, I'm never buying that book. You can't force me to use fluff from an optional book.

Kitsune Bard. Fairly standard buff-bot and talker of good talking.
I have some Ifrits and an Undine, but like Nefreet I think I will wait till we finish our Eyes of the Ten and see what happens with that before building them.
Looking forward to the con boon at the end of the month, hoping its the Spring boon.
I do have a desire to make a Dhampir Oracle of Life, but I need a boon for one.
Dylos |
At this point my Undine will likely be an Arcanist/Rogue/Arcane Trickster who worships Nethys, but as I have yet to fully design the character, that is still subject to change, but I must say that I am rather fond of the idea of sneaking up on a group of enemies and casting Fractions of Heal and Harm followed by a sneak attack fire ball, even better that I can do it underwater.

Urshia al-Lirgen: Sylph Bloodrager / Storm Druid - heading into Storm Kindler prestige class. Obsessed with the Eye of Abendago, which destroyed her homeland.
This sounds delightfully different from the sylph concept I have (which hopefully will one day come to fruition). Love the idea of a bloodrager/druid.

Aikai, Tengu Monk of the Four Winds. (Formerly Inquisitor; Rebuilt Before Level 2). Don't really play him much at all though; was back when Tengu required a boon.
Tandava, Ifrit Dawnflower Dervish Bard with a Vudrani heritage. Battledance=Bollywood Dance Number.
Had a Sylph; gave it to someone who would use it (I saw nothing I wanted to play with it).
Still have a Nagaji/Wayang/Kitsune chronicle unused.
I may or may not be doing something very troll-esque with an Aasimar Cleric, but he was made after they stopped requiring boons.
