Mutant Chronicles is a retro dieselpunk techno fantasy game of high octane action. This love child of Shadowrun and Warhammer 40K is set in a future out of a late eighties, early nineties sci-fi action movie. What I have in mind is to follow the default campaign of freelancers doing the dirty work of various corporate interests. This will be set in the Dark Legion era. Mutant Chronicles is a 2d20 system game by Modiphious.
This is a Recruitment for a Mummy the Curse game set in Washington DC. The game is set during a possible near future where an FBI investigation leads to a special election for President of the United States. Caution: this game is intended to be politically charged, with probable racial politics as well. The chosen players will have all recently awoken. Number of players: 4 Recruitment end date: 4-26-17 Other rules: The head of each cult will be played by a different player. Good luck and good gaming.
The rain pounds hard on the roof, but that should go with out saying in Corvis. The Ratcatchers are hanging out in their headquarters waiting for their next job. They are a motley crew of problem solvers who specialize in problems that lurk below the city streets. These days that's a lot. Please go around and introduce yourselves.
The Warlord wrote: What race/classes are off the table? After giving it a lot of thought, I would rather avoid material from Unleashed. The Stryx would also be hard to fit in. As for classes, anything tied to Khador or the Protectorate would require you to run a good story by me. Iron Heads may have trouble maneuvering from time to time. Stormsmiths will have trouble with how little action takes place under sky. Other than that, there are no restrictions.
Yes, but that only pushes more problems to the Undercity. Plus, problems can conceal themselves among the desperate masses. Both can be good for business for the Ratcatchers. Disclaimer, any implications about what can go wrong when you allow a lot of refugees to take shelter in your lands are intended to be purely literary and are not intended as a real world political statement.

You are allowed to use the optional rule to swap starting stuff.
Spazmodeus wrote: So, any class restrictions? Anything specific to Khador or the Protecorate will need some major justification. I do not see a lot of action taking place with access to the sky, so Stormsmiths will have some difficulty. I can not think of anything else, unless it might cause bad inner group conflict.

Sounds interesting, feel free to use the KNG variant. EDIT: Milo Dresdin, while I have not double checked your numbers, everything does look good.
Radavel wrote: point of clarification: if two careers like gunmage and investigator have the same starting skill like pistol 1, do they stack, so as to give you a starting skill of pistol 2? Correct, if you get a rank in the same skill twice, those stack to give you two ranks. However, you are still limited to two ranks. Should you gain two ranks from one career and a rank in the same skill from your second, then chose another skill of the same type to gain a rank in.
Here is my idea so far, you are a group of troubleshooters for hire that call themselves the Ratcatchers. They specialize in dealing with problems that come from the sewers or other unpleasant places, usually underground. Since they operate in Corvis, you should be able to walk around in Cygnar, or have a good way of going unnoticed. You should be able to speak Cygnar. You will have a headquarters where you can rest between missions and meet with clients. Other benefits will be announced later. The game play will be a combination of investigation, exploration, and combat. Please no movement shenanigans. I plan to start on the first Monday in October. Please feel free to ask me any questions. |
