Looks good.

Dark Archive

Sure, I will allow it.

Looks good, although I would pick up a cheap weapon of some kind. You do have a very high earnings rating.

Dark Archive

@Stephen Hong, your sheet looks good.

Looks good. Why are you no longer with Luna PD? Or are you contracting with Deniables, Inc. as a side gig?

Dark Archive

I am fine with Brootherhood characters, but no more then two.

Dark Archive

By the way, there is a cheaper option that is aimed at players.

Dark Archive

I have decided to make a recruitment thread here.

Dark Archive

Deniables, Inc. is a freelance business dedicated to helping Freelancers and Johnsons find each other. It is also an open secrete that they specialize in also making sure that payments can not be traced. As independent contractors for Deniables, Inc. you will be able to make cardinals doing the dirty work for various corporations. We will do all we can ensure both the anonymity of your "employer" and that you will be paid, fully and on time. We strive to strike that critical balance between freedom and security that all Freelancers crave. We thank you for registering for us and wish you the best of luck.

Game[: Mutant Chronicles 3r ed
Era of play: Dark Legion (second dark legion war on the online character creator)
Method: Standard, Roll for events. You may use the Online Character Creator or roll here.
Number of players: 6, Although I am willing to set this up as an Innlike game if there is enough desire.
recuitment end date: 4-29-17
Special Notes: I would prefer to avoid Cybertronic. They do not work well in a Freelancers game. Most of the game will take place in Luna City.

Feel free to ask me any questions. Good luck and good gaming.

Are the rules available for free somewhere?

Sort of, there are free quick start rules and there is an online character generator, but that is all that I am aware of.

3rd edition?

Correct

Dark Archive

Mutant Chronicles is a retro dieselpunk techno fantasy game of high octane action. This love child of Shadowrun and Warhammer 40K is set in a future out of a late eighties, early nineties sci-fi action movie. What I have in mind is to follow the default campaign of freelancers doing the dirty work of various corporate interests. This will be set in the Dark Legion era. Mutant Chronicles is a 2d20 system game by Modiphious.

Dark Archive

Is there something more that I should be doing?

Dark Archive

This is a Recruitment for a Mummy the Curse game set in Washington DC. The game is set during a possible near future where an FBI investigation leads to a special election for President of the United States. Caution: this game is intended to be politically charged, with probable racial politics as well. The chosen players will have all recently awoken.

Number of players: 4

Recruitment end date: 4-26-17

Other rules: The head of each cult will be played by a different player.

Good luck and good gaming.

Dark Archive

Yes, I am terribly sorry about the confusion, Sadron

I have decided to just use the Mercenaries Adventuring Company to represent the Ratcatchers. I can not think of better benefits.

Dark Archive

Greetings everyone. I am sorry for not responding this weekend, but an old friend was in town. As far as I can tell there were not more applicants than slots, so everyone that submitted a character is in. Please join the discussion and at least dot in the game play thread. Good luck and have fun.

Dark Archive

Greeting, first order of business is to decide on your leader.

Dark Archive

The rain pounds hard on the roof, but that should go with out saying in Corvis. The Ratcatchers are hanging out in their headquarters waiting for their next job. They are a motley crew of problem solvers who specialize in problems that lurk below the city streets. These days that's a lot.

Please go around and introduce yourselves.

Good morning everyone. I will be making roster selection known either today or tomorrow. Good luck and good gaming.

Recruitment Is Closed!

Dark Archive

Just a reminder that today is the last day for character submissions.

Dark Archive

The recruitment will close when I wake up on Saturday. I will take six players. I hope to start on Monday.

Dark Archive

@Cephas, looks good, you just need to change one language to Cygnar.

What race/classes are off the table?

After giving it a lot of thought, I would rather avoid material from Unleashed. The Stryx would also be hard to fit in. As for classes, anything tied to Khador or the Protectorate would require you to run a good story by me. Iron Heads may have trouble maneuvering from time to time. Stormsmiths will have trouble with how little action takes place under sky. Other than that, there are no restrictions.

Dark Archive

Spazmodeus wrote:
Options from Unleashed allowed?

I am going to have to get back to you on that.

Dark Archive

Yes, but that only pushes more problems to the Undercity. Plus, problems can conceal themselves among the desperate masses. Both can be good for business for the Ratcatchers.

Disclaimer, any implications about what can go wrong when you allow a lot of refugees to take shelter in your lands are intended to be purely literary and are not intended as a real world political statement.

Dark Archive

@Arthur and Mao, I do not see any problem with your characters.

intrigued wid a gunmage investigator build but as per kng he cannot be an arcane tempest grad. Are there other ways of being a gunmage in cygnar?

There is nothing stopping you from being a generic Gun Mage and still being from Cygnar.

Unfortunately the actual Arcane Tempest doesn't allow classing with Arcane Mechanik, though I was amused to read the Artillerist (in the Ordic section) and wonder if you could get a magelock cannon... (that was joke in case intent isn't obvious).

Trying to decide between using a rifle or a pistol mage lock, I was drawn towards the rifle, but if we're close-quarters sewers, might be better with the pistol.

Are we allowed to swap out spells, specifically the default 'Arcantrik Bolt' for Arcane Mechanik's seem redundant when I'm channelling through a weapon for most attacks. Perhaps swap for Electrify?

In progress character is located here

Dagnabbit, according the FAQ you can't have Mechanika magelocks.

You are allowed to use the optional rule to swap starting stuff.

Dark Archive

No Quarter stuff is fine.

Spazmodeus wrote:
So, any class restrictions?

Anything specific to Khador or the Protecorate will need some major justification. I do not see a lot of action taking place with access to the sky, so Stormsmiths will have some difficulty. I can not think of anything else, unless it might cause bad inner group conflict.

spinningdice wrote:

Sort of trying a Human Gunmage/Arcane Mechanik, not sure if its going to work as yet. So may not be my final character.

Trained by the Arcane Tempest, but despite some initial promise, got too distracted by tinkering with the magelocks to do well in the end.

Ultimately intend to have tricked out Magelock, but can't afford a mechnika one to start with.

Sounds interesting, feel free to use the KNG variant.

EDIT: Milo Dresdin, while I have not double checked your numbers, everything does look good.

Dark Archive

Monsters, cultists, and criminals are their main prey.

Radavel wrote:
point of clarification: if two careers like gunmage and investigator have the same starting skill like pistol 1, do they stack, so as to give you a starting skill of pistol 2?

Correct, if you get a rank in the same skill twice, those stack to give you two ranks. However, you are still limited to two ranks. Should you gain two ranks from one career and a rank in the same skill from your second, then chose another skill of the same type to gain a rank in.

Dark Archive

This will be the recruitment thread. Also, the Adventuring Company, as it exists so far, is posted in the Campaign tab. I will update it as I flesh it out further.

Dark Archive

Here is my idea so far, you are a group of troubleshooters for hire that call themselves the Ratcatchers. They specialize in dealing with problems that come from the sewers or other unpleasant places, usually underground. Since they operate in Corvis, you should be able to walk around in Cygnar, or have a good way of going unnoticed. You should be able to speak Cygnar. You will have a headquarters where you can rest between missions and meet with clients. Other benefits will be announced later. The game play will be a combination of investigation, exploration, and combat. Please no movement shenanigans. I plan to start on the first Monday in October. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

To be rhymes with mystery.

Looks good to me. There may be a Might cost for a long flight, but it should not come up much.

Dark Archive

Go ahead.

EDIT: I feel silly, I just now got the rhyme.

There was one group that had a hyper intelligent bird for a mascot, so that could work.
