The caravan that you have all joined has been going for more than a week. It started out in the town of Solku, heading north towards the scrub-lands. Garavel the man that hired all of you on runs a tight operation. You all have noticed that nothing stays wrong for every long under his watchful eye. The land before you has a few hills but is mostly empty, but to the west you can make out the mighty Pale Mountains.

With Garavel running things the caravan has barely had any time to stop or have people be idle for any length of time. However this has caused the caravan to run ahead of schedule which has let Garavel lessen his grip some, letting the people on the caravan relax some. The caravan has stopped for the day. Everyone part of the caravan is now sitting in front of the camp fire eating and resting for travel for the next day.

Feel free to speak to each other, explain your characters.

I always wanted to play in this AP, but figured I would give a go at running it.

Character Creation Guide
Everyone will be first level, using a 20 point buy, no stats under 8 or over 20 after racial modifiers. Starting gold will be average for class. Starting Hit points are max.

Race: All core races are allowed. The following races are also allowed, Ifrit, Muls, Suli, Sylph and Tielfing(Div Spawn).

Class: All classes are allowable. Some 3PP classes may be allowed on request and after I look through them.

Alignment: Any non-evil.

Traits: 2 traits, one must be a campaign trait for Legacy of Fire.

All pathfinder books are allowed, but please tell me which book you are using for your options.

Any other questions please feel free to ask.

Please put character in a post, do not make an alias for the character. I am more looking for a good background on the character than the stats worked out.

Character Creation guidelines:
Characters are level 4
Characters will use the Gestalt character creation rules.

Alignment: Any Alignment but CE is allowable. Those who wish to be an evil alignment please explain the reason for this to me in the character post.

Core Rule Book, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Magic, and Ultimate Combat are allowed. Please tell me where you got your options from so I may look at them. Other options may be allowable if asked and I check through them.

Races: The game will be using home brew races. Found here Link

Stats:25 point buy.
No states over 20 or under 8 after racial modifiers
HP: Max at first level, than half your Hit dice + 1 every level after first.
Ex: 1d6 = 4, 1d8 = 5, 1d10 = 6.

The following classes/archetypes are not allowed.
Alchemist: The Re-animator archetype.
Cleric: The Undead Lord archetype.
Paladin: Paladin and all archetypes for this class
Witch: The grave-walker archetype.

The following classes change their skill rank per level from 2 + int modifier to 4 + int modifier.

Summoner
If any of the above classes have an archetype that increases their skill rank per level, if that archetype please increase skill rank per level by one step.

Here is some information:
There are very few places someone can buy magic items.
Undead are very rare in my home brew and even than most undead seen are intelligent undead.
The game will use fame/infamy to effect outcomes. All characters start out at one fame/infamy. There will be two types of fame/infamy, one that is active and passive. Active fame/infamy will be known to players and can be used up to gain bonuses to rolls. Passive fame/infamy will not be known to the players and will effect how npcs interact with characters.
Good characters always gain fame, while evil characters always gain infamy. Neutral characters chose at the start of the game if they wish to gain fame or infamy.
Some spells are very hard to come by or do not exist at all.
When putting forth a character please do not make an alias of that character. In the post you make to show your character please put a rough outline of a character with stats and feats and a background of the your character. Do not buy any equipment yet, that will be discussed. After rough outline please put your plans on how you want to see your character grow and what you would like to see out of the game. I would also like a bit about how you see your character played out personality wise and how the character would interact with others.

You all stand in the grand council room of Animus after being summoned for unknown reasons. All any of you know was one of the renowned clockwork soldiers of Animus appeared before you with an Avari messenger with a letter. The letter requested that you meet with Archmagi Ena Glyn and Grand Inventor Peadair Abbas in a months time. Today is the date mentioned in the letter, and here you are with others that you do not know.

As you look around the room, you noticed the gears and runes that decorate the walls. Standing next to the walls like statues of ancient heroes are more clockwork soldiers of Animus. Each has a different type of weapon that is held at the ready. In the middle of the room is a large rectangular table with ten seats, two large seats at the head of the table and four smaller seats on each side. Each of the seats is filled. The large seat to your left has a young Fakir woman sitting down looking at you. She has long dark colored hair, pale skin, pointed ears and almond shaped dark orange colored eyes. She is holding a pale staff made of an odd material, that is topped with a large gray crystal and is wearing dark colored robes. To her left is a elderly male Ferrin, with a dark silver colored hide, emerald colored eyes and his horns seems to grow about an inch from his head. He is wearing a coat over a shirt and long pants. He has a medallion around his next that seems to be a in the shape of a rune that shines strangely in the light. The others at the table are of varying ages and gender, but most are Ferrin and Fakir.

The group at the table stares at you all for a long moment before the Ferrin stands up he than says in a rough voice ”Please come forward, I do believe you all wish to know why we have summoned you here.” He waits for the group to walk forward before starting to speak once again ”I am Grand Inventor Peadair Abbas, and this is “ he motions to the woman next to him she than stands up before speaking as well ”I am Archmagic Ena Glyn. We have called you all here because we have been informed of some unbelievable news.” she says in a voice as clear as crystal, she than studies the group before sitting back down. Peadair turns to her and nods before starting up where she left off ” We have been informed that the Church of Light, which follows the teaching of the High Priestess, and the Sentinel is a lie. Everything that is taught is a lie, to trick the masses. If this was not enough, many of the members of the Church commit evils so vile, I cannot speak them aloud. If these evils were not enough we were also told that much of history as we know it, is wrong. It seems the Church has been over the years changing history to suit their needs.” He says each word with such sadness that anyone could tell he was a follower of the Church. ”We were also informed that the High Priestess and the Sentinel were not gods but just normal mortals very powerful mortals but still mortals.”

He seems very shaken by what he just had to say he sits down, this is when Ena stands once again ”We were told by the one whom informed us of all this, told us to find each of you. We were tasked to ask if you all would help, topple this false religion that has been plaguing our people for hundreds of years. I know this is much to take in but will you help us?”

The staff is known as the Staff of the Magi. It is the symbol of the Archmagi office.

The staff is said to be made of the rib bone of an Ancient Magma dragon.

The medallion is known as the Medallion of Thought, is the symbol of the Grand Inventor office.

The medallion seems to be made up of the rare metal Star Steel.

Here is the Discussion thread for the Blood of Heroes game.

Before the game starts off need to say somethings.

First gear will be given by supply from the country that you all wish to have as your backers. The backing country will also help you in different ways.

Magical Weapons and Armor are very hard to come by for those not in the military or as acting as town guards. Both of these forces have to fight back the creatures of Saeniri so they have a monopoly on these items.

Next is you all have to pick how you wish to overthrow the Church of Light , will than move forward accordingly. To make up for this there I am adding that many of the creatures in the world can be harvest for materials to make weapons and armor.

Example: Dragon bones can be used for both making armor and making weapons. Dragon bone armor depending on the type of dragon can make the wearer immune to different effects of boost stats, while weapons would inflict different effect when hitting an opponent.

Last is how fame/infamy works in better detail. The active Fame/infamy can be used up to give a bonus of +2 to any bluff/diplomacy/intimidate rolls per point used. Passive fame/infamy will allow for you to get access to different individual or groups that can help farther your goals.

Example: High Fame will let you speak with a Captain of the Guard while High Infamy will let you speak with the leader of an Assassins guild.

The passive fame/infamy value will be totaled up by the group as a whole. There is also a draw back to this, if the group has enough infamy those in high standing will not speak to them or those in the shadows will not speak to the group with high fame.


Story of Saeniri:

”The story of Saeniri is a sad one. A story that I have written down since the start. I will know tell you the true history of Saeniri. When the old races first appeared on Saeniri there was peace. This peace lasted until greed settled into the old races hearts. This lead to a war that all the nations of Saeniri fought in. Countless millions died in the early days of the war. This lead to the nations to find a way to keep the war going. In their hubris the old races thought to be gods and created beings in their own image to be soldiers. There were still a few heroes doing that time that spoke out against this injustice but they were laughed at and mocked for not seeing the vision. The heroes knew the war must be stopped or all of Saeniri would burn because of greed. The heroes than headed out to never been seen again. The war went on like this for hundreds of years until something happened. “

”News came to the leaders of the nations of an army that defeated all who stood before it. This army was made up of all beings that nations had made to fight for them. Sick of their treatment and how the old races treated Saeniri they rose up to fight back. This army was known as the 1st Legion. Soon many others chose to side with the 1st Legion, handing defeat after defeat to rival armies. It took the 1st Legion two years to end a war that had lasted two hundred years. They had brought back peace to a land that had known only suffering for so long. This peace however would not last.”

”Ten years after the peace the 1st Legion had started was shattered. From portals that appeared in the night came the invaders. Monstrous beings from parts unknown the invaders slew all males in sight while taking women and children with them. Many armies fought to stop them but all failed . It was than the the 1st Legion rode to face these invaders. The 1st Legion fought for days without rest, only slowing the advance of the invaders. Knowing that the battle lost the soldiers of the 1st Legion knocked out their generals and sent them with some of their most trusted men to be protected. The 1st Legion than headed into battle once, dying to the last solider to protect the world they love.”

”After the fall of the 1st Legion, the invaders went across Saeniri killing and taking people as when they first appeared. Under the guide of the 1st Legion generals a resistance was formed with the help of the old gods. The resistance did well against the invaders until the invaders' God-King appeared. The first thing the God-King did after appearing on Saeniri was to kill all the old gods. Feeling that they could not win the descendants of the generals of the 1st Legion stood up and swore to find a way to stop this God-King. After much searching and hardship these new Heroes found out many things. First they found out the mission of the invaders was to cause all the Multiverse to be oblivion. Second they found that there are three beings in all the Multiverse the invaders fear. Lastly they found as long as the General of the invaders was alive the God-King could not truly be defeated.”

”With this new information the heroes set out to find a way to summon these three beings. After much effort they succeed and summoned the High Priestess, the Sentinel and a being only known as the Lost Solider. With the help of these three beings the new Heroes succeeded but with a terrible price to slay the God-King and his General. At the end the High Priestess and the Sentinel where sent home while none save the heroes truly know what happened to the Lost Solider and he was forgotten to history. There was than peace in Saeniri. Thousands of years later a new evil has risen. This evil hides itself behind the front of a church that was given a country. This church uses the love the people of Saeniri have for the High Priestress and the Sentinel to gain power. The World is in need of heroes once again. Those from the ancient blood line of the 1st Legion the first true heroes of Saeniri.

To over throw the Church of Light and free the people of the Spesi which holds the headquarters of the Church of Light. This will be done through the use of backing from other nations, political power and force of arms by infiltrating Spesi as a 'gang'.

There are many more nations but most are colonies of these nations. These nations are given information because one of them will be backing the party's overthrow of the Church of Light.

Note do think on these nations, those who are chosen will have to discuss who they wish to have backing them.

The Drake Sea region has two land massive connected by the frozen waste to the north and south in a massive sea in the middle of the two land masses. In the middle of this sea is Spesi a very large island. Dotting the sea are smaller islands that hold settlements.
