![]() Pain nods his head before turning around. He waves his tiny arms in a circular motion and a dark portal appears. Stepping through you are transported into a dark room. As soon as the last person steps through, the portal closes. In this room is a single throne flanked by a pair of braziers. Atop the throne sits a lone figure. Though he looks mostly the same from the last time the party saw him, his demeanor is vastly different. His normally fiery temperament is much more subdued. "I'm glad you took my offer though I'm surprised it took you this long to contact me. Regardless, we need to stop my son first. As much as I feel for his plight, he can't be allowed to continue. Unfortunately, as you may know, he is collecting powerful allies. He has tried to recruit the mighty minotaur. He has already recruited among others, the legendary Hercules. You can either stop him from collecting more allies or collect allies of your own to counter them. These are the only options." ![]()

![]() "Zeus?" Pain asks while turning to his compatriot. "Is this guy for real? No we work for Hades, Lord of the Underworld. You know, the third brother in all this. The fight was last night I think. It was a short one though." Pain and Panic follow the group into the alley. "Listen, we're here to take you to our boss so he can talk to ya. He's got a plan to fix this and to stop his idiot kid." ![]()

![]() "Because they left when the dick of the seas took over and ousted Zeus. Their fight destroyed the capital building. When everyone saw two of the most powerful gods fighting, they did the smart thing and ran. Anyone left after that was taken by good old Nemesis. Only reason we're here is because boss man told us to wait here to look for you. " ![]()

![]() Kyronai:
You sense no deception from the voice. "Because it's not safe in the city anymore. Not since aqua-jerk took over. But have it your way. I guess we can say we told you so in Tartarus." Out of a nearby alleyway, a pair of small shadows fly out before they turn into their true forms: a pair of tiny imps, one a dark blue and the other a deep red. "Happy now? I'm Pain and this is Panic." The red one explains pointing to his opposite colored partner. "Do you trust us now or do we need to stand out here in the open until miss never-smiles finds us?" ![]()

![]() All good. As you walk through the city, there are still no signs of non-animal life. There are signs of an immediate evacuation. Dropped items litter the streets, doors are left open. 3d20 ⇒ (1, 19, 5) = 25 Kyronai: You notice 2 sets of glowing eyes watching you from a nearby alleyway. ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() The party steps onto Kyronai's new chariot and are whisked across the sky. King Alexander gives a wave as you all leave. The ride is rather intense compared to what everyone is probably used to. The pair of celestial steeds pull the chariot with speed beyond any mortal animal. What would take hours to traverse takes mere minutes. As you land in Athens, you immediately notice how quiet the city is. The streets are bare and the only sounds are of occasional birds. ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Kyronai: The moment you begin to think about the sun chariot, it seemingly dives from the heavens gently landing right before you. Pulled by a pair of divine steeds, both white as snow with long flowing manes. They fly along the clouds themselves without wings. Golden shoes forged by Hephaestus himself adorn their hooves. They look at you with a bit of hesitation before standing at attention waiting to be given orders. ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Nope. You haven't learned how they got here. "Yes, it was a long time ago. Orpheus chose to be a nomad rather than settle anywhere. He was never the same after he lost Eurydice. Theseus, stayed in Crete as far as I knew. He and the new king became close friends. As far as how they got here, I can have some men look around for whatever ship they sailed on. It will take some time so you're welcome to stay. We don't have much but I think deicide would one hungry." ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Kyronai continues to assault Apollo's vision. As the sun god staggers, Bástya's shield knocks him off his feet and he lands on the ground with a thud. He stops moving and his body turns into an orb of light that flows from its place and into Kyronai! The witch's body glows for a moment in a by now familiar way before slowing going away. Combat over. King Alexander blinks. "I can't say that I've ever seen that before. Did you just kill a god?" Kyronai: Your body feels warm in the most relaxing way. You feel physically stronger and a bit more confident as well. ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Yep, Kyronai takes 12 less damage. Alexander attempts to take advantage of the situation caused by Kyronai's spell. He steps forward, slasing twice at the Sun God. 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40 Crit!
Daphne will use To Battle! on Bástya who can make Strike as a reaction and will move away. Apollo, literally blind with rage moves in Kyronai's direction and tries to pummel the witch. Flat Check for blindness: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Kyronai and Bástya! If the first fist drops Kyronai, the second will go on Bástya ![]()

![]() Daphne is able to bolster her defenses and slips away the second Apollo let's go. "Maybe you're right. Let's test that theory!" The Sun God then flies straight towards Kyronai and throws a pair of punches at the witch. Sun Punch: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (2) + 20 = 22

![]() Bástya is able to land a pair of strikes but misses the third. Will: 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 18 - 2 = 23s words
Alexander moves up and swipes at Apollo twice. 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 24
He is able to land a solid blow. Daphne is up. ![]()

![]() Daphne: You jumped the gun a bit, so Bástya and Alexander will get the effects next turn. Kyronai misses with his magically empowered arrow though Bástya is able to land her first blow with her shield. Alexander rushes up and tries to score a blow on the distracted sun god. 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (14) + 21 = 35
Daphne then points out Apollo's flaws verbally which cause the sun god to wince in pain. He responds by flying towards the door and tries to bash it down! Again provoking if applicable. Fire Damage for Daphne: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8
However he makes no progress and the door stands still. Kyronai and Bástya are up with the latter now being able to get that free stride. ![]()

![]() Apollo has weakness 10 to cold and to evil. His personal anthesis involves his vanity. You can as an action insult his looks and inflict 5d6 mental damage. Apollo decides to switch targets given the Kyronai's slipperiness. He tries to grab ahold of Daphne! Grapple versus Fortitude DC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35 I believe that's a critical success so Daphne is restrained. Apollo's mighty wings wrap around Daphne and he starts flying up into the air and towards the door. Provoking opportunity attacks if any. One Action: Wings of the Sun. Requirement: Apollo has an opponent grabbed. Effect: Apollo's wings wrap around the opponent keeping them grabbed until the opponent escapes, i.e. Apollo doesn't need to maintain the grapple. It also inflicts Fire: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9 damage to the opponent at the beginning of every turn they are in the special grapple from the sheer heat of the wings "Have you ever wanted to meet the sun? You're about to!" Kyronai and Bástya! He is only 5 feet off the ground so you can still strike him with melee attacks. ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Kyronai not only lands his arrow but the arrow is able exstinguish the sun god's flames. Bástya lands her strike with her shield causing a small welt to form on Apollo's chest. Fiery Aura is down. Apollo turns to the dwarven woman in response. "Well maybe you should take that a sign and just die. Try your luck with Hades." Alexander moves to give Bástya a flank and swings. "Can we stop antagonizing a literal god here." 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22
However he misses fairly badly with his first swing, but is able to recover and scores another blow on the sun god. Daphne! ![]()

![]() In her panic, Daphne stumbles and fails to not only suture Kyronai's wounds but to also determine the Sun God's weaknesses if any. Whatever poison was left on the blade seems to affect Apollo further as his flames dim a little bit. You can see him struggling to keep focus despite his pain. He closes his eyes for a moment before reopening them. His irises glow brightly like the sun before emitting a pair of beams towards Kyronai. Kyronai has weakness 10 versus fire until the end of the encounter. However this leaves Apollo vulnerable, giving him a -2 penalty to all defenses. He then steps forward attempting to grab Kyronai. Athletics versus Fortitude DC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 However he is not able to grab ahold of the slippery witch. This turn his fiery aura only does Fire: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 3, 6) = 19 if you start your turn next to him. Kyronai and Bástya are up! ![]()

![]() The dagger is mundane so 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 damage. Kyronai passes the mundane dagger to Bástya who is able score with her second swing with it, piercing the Sun God's flesh, causing it to sizzle. Apollo's smile fades turning into a grimace of pain. Alexander, clearly not liking this situation, draws his sword and moves in to aid the heroes. "I really didn't think this was how my day was going to go." 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (5) + 21 = 26
The mortal king is able to score a blow causing Apollo to wince in pain again. Daphne! ![]()

Bástya: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 Daphne: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37 Kyronai: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26 Alexander: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Apollo: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35 I'll bot Daphne until she is up for it. "Apollo, you may be the god of the sun, but you sure aren't too bright." Bon Mot: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 33 Normal Success so Apollo has a -2 penalty to perception and will saves. Daphne throws a cutting remark towards Apollo before drawing her sling and firing! 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30
The bullet seems to have no effect even though the beekeeper was able to catch Apollo by surprise. The grin fades from the god's face as his body is suddenly surrounded by flame. If you start your turn next to Apollo you will take Fire Damage: 10d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 6, 2, 1, 6, 1, 5, 5) = 37 He then steps closer to Kyronai and attempts to grab the mage. Grapple versus Fortitude DC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23 However he fails to do so. Kyronai and Bástya are up! ![]()

![]() The party spends the night in the castle courtesy of King Alexander without incident. He gives you access to whatever stores of goods he has available, though not as much you may be used to. You can find pretty much any mundane item though you are limited to 2 of any particular item as he has limited stock. Breakfast is a simple meal of bread, oats and mead but it is filling. However afterwards, everyone hears the very familiar sound of large wings flapping. From outside the castle gate, you hear yelling and then the of fists meeting jaws and then a few thuds. The gate is then broken down and you all either draw weapons or prepare spells. However in walks a figure you do not expect. Instead of dark feathered wings, these wings are white as snow. They are also attached to a very chiseled male frame unrestrained by a shirt, with long hair that shines like the golden sun. "Apologies about the guards, but I didn't have time to explain myself. Apollo, god of the sun. I am pleased to meet you all. We have no time to waste, we need to travel back to Athens." ![]()

![]() Kyronai:
You focus on your quiver hoping to spark a connection to Athena. You hear a loud ringing sound inside your ears and then a single word. "Don't" "Theseus and Orpheus. I knew them once, sad to see them fall so low. Daphne, I am sorry to have you get wrapped up in all this. But I am glad that you were able to help someone out of their servitude." ![]()

![]() The walk back to the city is uneventful. A few people wave hello to Daphne but you are otherwise unaccosted. There seem to be no shrines or intact temples in the city. Perhaps in time they can be restored, but for now they are but rubble or makeshift housing. When you reach the castle, you are let in. However when you reach the throne where Alexander sits, he seems rather surprised. "Your group looks different. Hello there, Daphne." ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Daphne is able to use her knowledge of this island to find an abandoned shelter. Though still in decent shape, it has long been abandoned and is generally empty save a few pieces of furniture in poor condition. Before leaving, Kyronai also picks up Orpheus' dagger, a slight amount of poison still lingers on the blade. So it took you around 10 minutes to find any sort of sanctuary and Nemesis can make it back to Daphne's home in 2, are you all doing anything make following you more difficult? ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Will, Bon Mot: 1d20 + 19 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 19 + 1 - 2 = 23 Regular failure. Non the wiser, Nemesis seemingly agrees with Kyronai's words even as she is stuck with one of his acid-tipped arrows. She flaps her dark wings and takes off in the direction of Mount Olympus. So combat is over. But subconscious suggestion only lasts a minute, so you have effectively 2 minutes before she comes back. Loot:
Entertainer's Lute(Greater) +2 Striking Bastard Sword Brooch of Inspiration Lover's Gloves Armbands of Athleticism Bronze Wedding Ring Aika is barely able to overcome her shock at the previous events. "I did not sign up to kill gods, even misguided ones. Diskord was one thing, but I can't do this anymore. I am sorry." The elf turned chaos god turns in the other direction to walk away. ![]()

![]() Kyronai's arrow misses but the tentacles he summons do not, the appendages grabbing her arms. Regular success.
"Zeus, what a fool. How did I not see it before? You represent his hubris in sending a fledging goddess and mortals to do a deity's work." Nemesis attempts to break free of her bonds. Athletics: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28 She is barely able to break free and steps out of the tentacles and slashes at Daphne again! Sword of Flame: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34

![]() No problem. "No matter. I am not the goddess of discussion. Even without my immortality, I am more than capable of slaying the likes of you." Nemesis steps forward and slashes at Daphne. Kyronai your ready goes off. Sword of Flame: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (10) + 23 = 33
So she does also trigger Bástya's champions reaction and takes 11 but does not take the persistent. Party is up! ![]()
Male Human(Amazing)
![]() Aika readies herself to protect Kyronai. Bástya also takes up a defensive stance. Daphne heals herself as she uses her sling against Nemesis. It seems though that the pain of her wound causes her to twitch at the last second, causing the bullet to go way too high. "So is Zagreus and maybe anyone else helping him. I will stop at nothing to rid the world of his plague." She responds. Kyronai!
