I apologize for needing to do this, but please cancel all of my subscriptions at this time. Due to likely sequestration and the announcement today of a furlough (reducing income by 20%), I'm having to limit expenditures as much as possible. If and when sequestration is resolved, I'll activate subscriptions again.

Thanks again!

Please forgive me if this has been addressed in earlier threads, but I am curious why there are no new Rogue Talents being released by Paizo when it seems that every splat book has new spells, feats, traits, mysteries/curses, weapons, or archetypes.

It seems that sprinkling a few Rogue Talents here and there might make a lot of sense (e.g., the Skull & Shackles AP might have been a great opportunity) and might make up for some poorly worded (and very weak) talents already in print.

Customer Service:

I have received two Advanced Race Guides, and Ultimate Equipments. However, it appears in my account history that I was charged once. Is it possible I have another account with a subscription attached? If there are two subscriptions, can you cancel the redundancy?

Please cancel my subscription to Pathfinder Battles, including my order for the Rise of the Runelords set. The $519 price is a bit steep for me at this time.

Thank you!

I love the Gunslinger, but something dawned on me: what happens in underwater adventures? In vacuum? In fiery environments like the Elemental Plane of Fire? Each environment presents an immense obstacle to using gunpowder.

Folks,

I'm looking for thoughtful and informed responses to this question. I recognize that this question may have been asked before.

Project Image is an illusion (shadow) spell.  What happens when the opponent disbelieves the illusion by making his Will save?  Can the illusion(shadow) still cast spells on that opponent?  Or are they 20% effective (as per Shadow Evocation spell?).  Or is the illusion (shadow) able to cast spells at full effect, regardless whether the opponents disbelieves or not?

Further, does the illusion (shadow) have an AC and hit points (like Shadow Conjuration spell)?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

Can a Witch use Forced Reincarnate Hex on an outsider? The hex refers to Reincarnation spell which doesn't work on outsiders.

According to the rules, the Witch may replace her familiar if it is killed or lost.

While the Witch unfortunately loses additional spells stored in the familiar (above the minimum gained by level), there is a hidden benefit: the Witch can request an entirely different type of familiar, thereby creating a major and sudden shift in the "theme" of her spells and character.

For example, a Witch with a bat familiar will have a "shadow and illusion" theme to her character; by replacing the bat with a toad, the Witch suddenly takes on a "shapeshifter" theme.

One might argue that a Witch could exploit this fact by killing or losing familiars in order to select a spellcasting theme which better suits her needs. It is not apparent from the rules that such a strategy is prohibited or frowned upon by the "otherworldly power."

Does the Stink Bomb only last 1 round, or should it last 1 round per level like the Smoke Bomb? One round seems too short.

If a creature succeeds on its save versus Evil Eye, it is affected for one round. Can a witch using Cackle extend the Evil Eye for that creature?

Does anyone know if Pathfinder products will be sold through Apple's iBooks for the new iPad?

I'd love to have everything available to read/reference on the iPad during a game.

I wondered if adding the dimension of pharmacist to the alchemist class may expand his flexibility. I would expect the alchemist to be able to create drugs or medicinals which could do more than just cure wounds and illnesses, but enhance the capabilities of others.

The Book of Vile Darkness offers examples of "drugs" which are sinister in nature by virture of their addicting properties. I recommend opening this option to the Alchemist, but with similar "drugs" or "medicinals" which provide an alchemical bonus, but aren't damaging or addicting.

Entry Two: Vanthus (a death knight) and his Cauchemar loosed an unholy flamestrike on the party, and charged forward only to vanish into nothingness (i.e. turned ethereal).

The party members (i.e., 20 Wizard, 20 Ranger, 17 Spell Thief, 20 Cleric, 20 Binder, and 20 Ranger/Totemic Demon Slayer) continued to fend off Dread Wraiths and Shadow Demons.

From inside the cage, the Witch was unable to reach an opponent with his ranged hexes, and his spells were either unable to affect undead creatures or would have negatively impacted party members.

In round 5, the Wizard fled into the room to escape the Dread Wraiths (as he only had <36 hit points remaining). However, Vanthus emerged from the ethereal plane and attacked him.

On death's door, the Wizard reluctantly accepted the imprisoned Witch's offer of help, and approached the cage. The Witch cast Heal on the Wizard, and Hex of Fortune in the following round to assist the Wizard avoid additional Dread Wraith Constitution draining attacks, and to improve his chances of hitting with a spell which conjured a black blade of nothingness.

In round 7, the Witch reduced one of the few remaining Dread Wraith's attack by 4, using Hex of the Evil Eye, for one round. It fled into a wall later in that round.

In round 8, the Wizard cut the cage open with this black blade, and the Witch and his pig familiar flew out using Hex of Flight. In round 9, the enemies were destroyed before the Witch was able to enter combat.

In this session, I felt that the Witch was relegated to a supporting character, partially due to the circumstances/setting (locked in cage) and by the my choices (i.e., spells, hexes, and familiar).

The pig familiar has a "gish" theme to its spells given that each either makes you larger or improves your combat abilities. Not being able to get directly into hand to hand combat denied my Witch from showing his stuff.

The spells and hexes also seem to be less effective on undead (again could be my choice), and I was limited again by the "touch" hexes. Perhaps ranged hexes or hex auras may be give the Witch some extra flexibility (and promote hex use over spell use in combat).

All in all, this session was better than the first, but I still felt underpowered compared to the other characters. Perhaps next time...

I am surprised that the Witch class doesn't have a vulnerability component similar to the Oracle's curse.

I am reminded of the Wicked Witch of the West melting when water was thrown on her, as well as medieval witch-hunter tests or ordeals (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_by_ordeal).

A particular vulnerability could be assigned to each kind of familiar, or chosen by the player when he develops the witch.

This vulnerability would further distinguish the witch from her spellcasting peers, and would reflect the negative side of making pacts with otherworldly powers.
