I don't have Deception, I wanted to just get out of Greeleep's tent, which should be a quick but clear diversion as the guard will hardly stay at his position (but he could go tell his homeys, so we'd have to be quick).

I'm sarcastic, but I actually like this adventure (well, fights are a bit too tough for my level but the story is nice). I just need to put my brain on hold a bit to accept that the hobgoblins haven't seen anything despite the great amount of weird stuff going on.

@Seth, Molly, Elsha: Let's move the conversation out of the gameplay section. I didn't realize how much punishment I'll take in this adventure. In general, the level bump is enough for Czav to survive despite the level difference but in this adventure I'm outmatched by 4 (5?) levels so I go down in a single round. It makes things messy, sorry. Honestly, you should not focus on healing Czav. Currently, I'm puzzled as to what I can do as staying anywhere near the Master Sergent is suicidal.

@Black Molly: Czav expressely stated that spells have diminished effects on him and that you should avoid targetting him. Do you insist on casting Soothe? Reminder: "If anyone of you is a spellcaster, you should avoid considering me as a valid recipient for your spells. Magic has reduced effects on me and spells regularly fizzle when I'm the target. You should keep your magic for others."

@Erich: Recognize Spell doesn't specify that you need to see the spell, just that you need to be aware of the casting (so any sense on paper).
So even in the dark Elsha could "see" the spellcasting.

It's hard to know what Czav sees but with low-light vision I assume he has still a good vision of the situation. "An underground complex, now kobolds, this place is full of surprises!" And higher: "You need a hand with these ants?"

Czav gets to the guard and starts talking to him: "Looks like we are brothers in arms, now. Aspis and Pathfinders all together, funny, isn't it?" He pauses to smile, insincerely, then continues: "In my culture, after a tough fight like this one where our lives were at stake, we exchange with our fellow comrades tiny ugly animal-like badges as a sign of mutual respect.", he says, showing his... tiny ugly animal-like badge, "It's with all my respect that I give you mine!" And he gets really close to the guard, looking at their badge, obviously waiting for some kind of reciprocity. I prefer to be upfront, Czav is not really thinking about a diversion or whatever. He's definitely pissed by Aspis' schemes and is just looking for any excuse to start a fist fight. If Elsha (or anyone) wants to intervene, you can (I won't push too hard in that direction if other players dislike it). @Erich: I also have a question: You said the badges were looking like animals. I wonder: Do they look like bulettes?

Czav anger, who went down after being downed, gets back up when speaking about the Aspis potential involvement. "Give me a minute, I'll distract the guard..." He then takes a piece of wood and his knife, and carves it into what could look like a very ugly animal badge (with a lot of imagination). He then draws a bottle of strong alcohol out of his bag and drinks a mouthful of it. He finaly walks in the direction of the guard. At that stage, everyone knows it's a bad idea, but Czav seems really pissed and I'm not sure anyone wants to stop him...
